Communication is difficult for me a lot of times because I am in English but it is not my first language. Learning it has been very hard and there are many times when I thought I may not be able to do it. Slowly I have been learning how to speak it better and communicate with the people around me. They understand me more easily and I am starting to understand them too. There are still many times when I wish I knew English better though. Speaking English more fluently than I do now would mean many things would be easier. I would be able to understand people better. I would also be able to use different forms of communication like texting better without taking so long to think of how to say something. Learning to speak English more fluently would also help me fit in better and make more friends. I also think it would help me be a better reader and help my studies overall. My wish is to speak English more fluently because it would help me understand my teachers better, making friends would be easier, and studying for tests would be faster. Learning English was and still is very hard for me. There are many tough words that I still do not understand. I am learning many new words every day but I still hear a lot that I do not know. Most of my communication problems are at school. I do not understand everything that is being said by teachers. This can make it hard for me to know what to do for an assignment. I know they cannot always use simple words just for me because everybody else speaks English fluently but it makes me wish I could speak English better than I can so I could understand things easier. I remember one exact assignment that was given. It was when I was first learning English and the teacher used many words I did not understand. I barely managed to pass the assignment. To keep this from happening again I have started trying to keep a list of words I do not know as they are said in class. This way I can look them up later and try to learn them. I hope to improve my vocabulary and learn better English this way. Trying to learn English has also been hard because of all the different ways to communicate now. Texting and computers have made communication overwhelming. It is like it never stops. My peers are always talking in some form and I wish to talk in this way too. Sometimes my fellow non-native speakers and I can feel left out because we do not speak English as well or as quickly as native English speakers. Native English speakers can type and text thoughts very quickly because it is their first language. I have to put thought into what I say and sometimes look up words because I am still learning. I have been trying to use my English skills and communicate this way though. I have noticed it is a good way to learn bad habits sometimes. My peers use abbreviations and a different vocabulary when they are texting or talking through computers. I want to communicate through these ways but I have to be careful not to learn any of these bad habits and use them in my schooling. Communicating and using my English skills through typing and texting is not all bad. Sometimes I do have to take time to think before I speak because English is a difficult language to learn but all forms of communication are good practice. Typing and texting helps me speed my thoughts and put words in order. My friends have helped correct my words and the order my sentences are in. This also helps me to learn English and practice my skills. In the process I get to speak to my friends and socialize. Speaking to friends in this way and letting them help me with my English writing skills is also less stressful than when I am practicing at school. I am able to practice without worrying about a bad grade or not understanding a rule to the English language. Later I can use what I have learned from friends in class. But typing and texting is not a very good way to learn English. It does help but it has not made my skills very good as fast I wanted. I still wish I could speak more fluently so my friends would not have to point out my mistakes or help me. Another reason I wish I could speak more fluently in English is because I think it would be easier to get along with peers. It is hard to make friends when people cannot understand you. In my home I have many friends because everybody can understand me. They know I am a nice and friendly person. Here I do not speak English as well as I would like. It is hard for people to know because I spend so much time trying to speak in the right way. I am not mean or unkind to people but it is hard for anybody to see my personality when I do not know all of the words to express myself. Many people here are nice and they try to understand that I do not speak English well. This makes it easier. It can still be very frustrating when I have something I want to say but I do not know the right word to use in the English language. Sometimes I do not even know if there is a word in the English language to express what I want to say. A third reason I wish to speak English more fluently is because then I could read it better. Reading English is a very challenging thing to do when you do not speak it very well. I do not understand a lot of the words I read. It is easier to look them up what they mean because they are written down but this can also be frustrating. This is because sometimes I do not understand some of the words used to define the word I do not understand. I try very hard to learn the words I do not know but there are times when I have to ask for help. It takes a long time to understand the words that define the word I want to understand. Then I sometimes I have to start over what I was reading because I cannot remember what it was about. If I spoke English more fluently and understood it better this would not happen as often and I would not get so frustrated when I am trying to study or learn new words. There would be many good things that would come from speaking English more fluently. I would understand assignments given in my classes much better and I would feel more comfortable in my classes as well. I would also feel more comfortable communicating with my peers in writing. I would not be afraid of learning bad habits when I texted or emailed somebody. I would also feel like I fit in better with the people around me. It would be nice to feel like my peers understood me and saw me for me. For now they will just see me try to learn English. Speaking English more fluently would also mean I could read faster and better. This would make school assignments and studying easier as well. For these reasons I wish I spoke English more fluently and will keep studying until I can.

I have many wishes. I pray that some of them may come true. out of all the wishes, three are most important for me.

My first wish is to have a pencil that will turn everything that I draw, into real things. I would make so many things with that pencil. I would make chocolate and new clothes whenever I want and I would wear new clothes every day. I would make a bicycle and a lot of toys. I would also ask other people what they want and I would draw those things and give it to them.

My second wish is to fly like a bird. I love birds because they can fly when they want and they go wherever they want to go. Birds are free to fly and they are not like Aeroplanes and Kites. These things fly for only some time. Birds are independent. My favourite is the Eagle bird. It can fly very high in the sky. I wish I could become like it so that I could travel the whole world. I would see my city from above. I would love to fly in the clouds. There would be no noise there.

My third wish is to help poor people. I wish I could get lots of money in a big bag one day. I would take the money and give it to the poor people who ask for money on the roads. I would buy clothes and food for them. I would buy toys for children and they would play with them. They will be very happy and their parents will not be sad anymore.

My mother says that If I will study well, I would make them come true in some ways in my future.

Being a student, my wishes would be as to what I would like to become or where I would like to be when I grow up. Though I have been asked this question many times, I never thought of it seriously until recently.

I may sound funny for you now, but I deeply have my desires in achieving of what I see in myself. I love to become a Chef!! A very well known one. I love cooking and I always watch my Mom making dishes. It is such a pleasure to see her make dishes and bring in out great flavorful and mouthwatering dishes, even with the little ingredients left in her kitchen. She has motivated me that, making great food and satisfying hunger of many is the greatest joy that one could attain. When we make food with all the love and passion, it just turns out great and serving them to our loved ones, is beyond ecstasy, is what my Mom always says.

I watch the numerous Cooking shows that are shown in the television and I have seen small kids make food!! That has actually given me the confidence that I too can prepare food and make great dishes. Sometime I ask my Mom to hand over the kitchen and she does stand with me to what I can make. I really enjoy those times and I love making it.

I wish to become a wonderful Chef and run a restaurant on my own, where I could make dishes of my choice and serve my guests with all love and care. Happy and content faces after having a meal is what would make my day, as I truly enjoy seeing happy faces after a great meal that my mom makes.

My wishes for the future

People have a lot of wishes in their life. As a human, I have my own wish. My wishes can be about the past, the present and the future. After many years, I have realized that I cannot change the past or even the present; but I can change my future. My wishes for the future life are being successful in career, having a happy life and working as an animal protector.

To be successful in career, I can earn a lot of money to improve my living condition. Besides that, I will get the respect from colleagues because of my excellent achievements. And I will not worry about being unemployed if a lay-off occurs.

It is lucky to have a happy life. I will do whatever I want, travel to many beautiful places to make friend with other people and learn about interesting things in the world. My future life will be full of pleasure and positive thinking.

The reason why I want to be an animal protector in the future is that I would save many animals from being abused or being killed. It is my hope to see people around me treating well with animals. They should be treated as humans' best friends for everything that they have contributed to human.

In summary, although I have a lot of wishes throughout my younger life, but I really want to succeed in career, live happily and work as an animal protector in the future. And I will try my best to achieve these wishes instead of waiting for a miracle.

          According to the Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary, ‘world’ means the earth with all its countries, people and natural features around us. Now, the world is craving for freedom. Can’t people these days hear the earth’s cry? It cry saying ‘I want peace, I want no pollution, I want the rivers to run free and I want my nature back! The only thing man can care about is themselves. Nothing else. They don’t realize it until one day they suffer. My wish for the world is simple like everyone else writing this wants it to be.

         I wish that the world is free from pollution. Pollution is the process of making air, water and many other things dirty. There are many type of pollutions such as air pollution, water pollution and soil pollution. Air pollution is harmful to all living organisms on this earth. Air pollution can exist in many type of states such as open burning, release of carbon monoxide from vehicles, cigarettes smoke and factories and haze. This may lead to many type of sickness such as difficulty in breathing, sore throat, cough, blurriness of vision and many more. The effects of air pollution on the earth are green house effects, global warming and the thinning of the ozone layer. Ways to overcome this problem are filtration of smoke before being released into the environment, a person who does open burning should be fined and vehicles should use catalytic converter.

        Water pollution can happen with the spilling of oil in the sea, toxic substances being thrown into the river and many more. The effects of this is that many aquatic creatures will die and extinct since the layer of oil covering it will block the oxygen from entering the water. Besides that, the fisherman will lose his daily income and we will lose our main source of protein. Ways to overcome this problem are ships that does oil spilling should be fined and the laws should be tightened.

       I also wish the world would always be in peace. Everyone wishes a peaceful world. But if the war continues, the world will be destroyed. War occurs when countries are not satisfied with what they have. They always want more which is a necessary to them. Their wish to rule other countries and widen their empires also causes war. For example, the war against Iraq and America. The need of oil to America has forced them to invade Iraq. This war is also caused by misunderstanding among leaders. Unlike Malaysia, Iraqians are living in misery because of lack of food. Malaysians live in peace and harmony. If all countries were like Malaysia, I am sure the world would be in peace forever.

       Furthermore, I wish that there would be no extinction in fauna. When an animal extinct, that means that no member of its species exist anymore anywhere in the world. Species extinct because of not being able to cope with the environment changes such as pollution and  species evolution or hunters. The most unnatural phenomenon that causes animal to extinction is man’s need to hunt animals for their parts. This is because there is a demand for animal parts such as fur and other medicinal purposes. Among the animal that used to exist but now are extinct are the auroches, dodo bird, woolly mammoth, dinosaurs, quagga, Tasmanian tiger and Steller’s sea cow. Among the animals now on the endangered list are elephants, great apes, marine turtles, monarch butterflies, panda bears, American pikas, polar bears, rhinoceroses, snow leopard, tigers, whales and dolphins. There are many type of ways to solve this problem such as there are various organizations and bodies in each country that work towards conserving wildlife as well as protecting endangered animals. In some countries, work is done to help certain animals mate in the hope of procreating more of their species. If we play our part by not creating a demand on such products on animal parts, then the hunting will stop. This means that we have to stop buying fur products, alligator skin bags and shoes and even traditional medicines that use animal parts. Man is the main reason why most animal are becoming extinct. We are killing the animals for our own selfish needs whether directly or indirectly.

        I wish the people in the world would appreciate nature and take good care of it so that in the future there will be no extinction. Malaysia’s forests have been home to many great animals over the years. However, due to the development, deforestation and man, certain species of flora and fauna have dwindled in number. If we could learn how to live close to nature and love it, definitely there wouldn’t be any extinction. If extinctions continue, there wouldn’t be any animals or plants left. Then, man will lose their source of food. We should understand that whenever nature is harmed, mankinds are the ones who is going to be most affected.

      I also wish that natural disasters wouldn’t happen. Natural disasters are phenomenon which can cause death, destruction and leave harmful effects. So far, natural disasters have taken lives of billions including plants and animals. For instance, the tsunami tragedy which happened in December 2004. it took the lives of billions. The tsunami waves hit Jakarta, Sri Lanka, India and Malaysia. Many believe that this is a sign showing that our earth and the God are angry with us for destroying living plants and animals.

     By now, we should realize our mistakes and stop all activities that are destroying the earth. Because if we don’t, we will pay for our mistakes when time comes. The world is a place for all living organisms and everybody should appreciate it by preventing the world from destruction in time to come. Lastly, I hope that all my wish for the world will come true.

The first two sentences are unnatural. You could say 'I wish you were coming tomorrow'; the continuous tense has the same idea as the present continuous does for talking about the future. The second sentence is unnatural because we don't use the present simple to talk about the weather at a specific time like tomorrow; in the same line, we don't use the past simple to refer to an unreal event at a specific time.

The fifth sentence is not correct because it's a simple tense. We use continuous tenses to talk about the weather at a particular time like now.

As you say, 1 refers to the present. It's a wish about your height now.

As you say, 2 refers to the future ('tomorrow').

In 3, the past verb form 'didn't need' refers to the present. It means that he does need to work all my life, but you that you wish this was not true.

Unless I'm forgetting something, it doesn't matter whether the verb after 'I wish' is stative or not. Non-stative verbs have similar meanings to 1-3 above. For example, 'I wish we were travelling first class' is very similar to 3. Or 'I wish my students studied more' also refers to a present situation and talks about a situation that is not true.

1) It means a) that it is raining and b) that you expect it to continue raining. You don't like the situation but you're pretty sure that it will continue.

2) We use 'wish [that]' to speak about something we would like to happen but which we consider unlikely. Your previous sentence about the rain is a good example. It can also be used to speak about a regret, i.e. a wish that something was different in the past: 'I wish I had worked harder in school. Now I could get a better job if I had.'

3) The use of 'wish' in 'I wish you a good day' is different from 2. In this case, 'wish' means 'hope you have'. Except for its use in some set expressions (e.g. 'I wish you a Merry Christmas' or 'Wishing you a happy birthday'), this use of 'wish' as a verb is unusual in most situations nowadays. There is no difference in meaning or probability between the two forms. The difference is that 'wish' is a form we don't use nearly as much as 'I hope'.

Simple forms ( it rains  = present simple;  it didn't rain  = past simple), mean the idea of raining repeatedly or regularly (e.g.  It rains very often in London ).

So, to talk about the rain right now, you can say either of these options.

• It's raining  heavily, so I can’t go out.
• I wish it wasn't raining heavily so that I could go out.  ("could" is needed, because this is an unreal action, not a real action)

Re: 1, you can say both 'I wish I lived' and 'I wish I could live', but there is a slight difference in meaning. 'I wish I could live' focuses on your ability to live in a different place -- perhaps, for example, you have the money to live in a different city, but you need to stay where you are so that you can take care of your elderly parents. 'I wish I lived' doesn't focus on ability; it's less specific.

Re: 2, we don't typically use 'I wish I would + verb' but instead 'I wish I verb-ed' (past form). We do use 'I wish (some other subject) + would + verb'. In this case, 'would' expresses the idea of the person or object not being willing to act as we wish. This is mentioned on our Wishes: 'wish' and 'if only' page.

3 is similar to 2. It's not correct to say 'John wishes he wouldn't be so busy'.

Re: 4, yes, you could also say 'could have'. It's similar to 1.

'I wish my English becomes better with practice' is not correct -- we use a past form of some sort after 'wish' to express the idea of unreality, i.e. that things are not how we want them to be. I don't know Italian, but in Spanish and Catalan, for example, a subjunctive form is used to express this idea; in English, we use a past form as a kind of subjunctive form for the same purpose.

So you could say ' I wish my English became better with practice' and that would be correct. This expresses a wish that you don't think can be fulfilled; it means that your English is not improving despite your practice.

Or you use 'I hope' to express a wish for the future: ' I hope my English becomes better with practice'. This expresses a wish that you do think can be fulfilled.

I wish I could go to work by car but it's not possible.

I wish I was able to stop smoking, but it's too difficult.

After 'wish' we move the tense (time reference) backwards to show that we are talking hypothetically. Thus, a wish or regret about the present uses past:

I wish I was taller! [wishing something about the present]

A wish or regret about the past uses past perfect:

I wish I had passed the exam.

Traditionally, only the first sentence is correct. So, if you are taking an exam (for example), I would recommend using that structure.

However, in modern English usage, it is becoming fairly common to use "would" as in your second sentence. Here's another example: " If you would have called me , I would have helped you." This is usually heard in speaking, especially in informal situations, but there are many people who consider it incorrect too. In any case, the meaning is the same as the first sentence.

To express a wish that we think is possible but we don't know will happen or not, we actually use 'hope' (+ present simple) instead of 'wish': 'I hope I score a good mark'. We can also use this same structure to express good will or intentions to others, e.g. 'I hope you get a good mark on your exam'.

It's also possible to use 'wish' to express good will, but the structure is different. We can say 'I wish you success on your exam' ('wish' + indirect object 'you' + direct object 'success on your exam').

More often, we use 'wish' to speak about a wish that we regard as not possible. That is the grammar explained on this page. If you wished you could get a good mark on an exam but see it as impossible, the most direct way of saying it is probably 'I wish I could get a good mark'.

Both are grammatically correct, but I would choose  would here.  Would  refers to the person's willingness. The sentence is asking the person to try a bit harder to hurry.

Could  refers to the person's ability.  I wish you could hurry  means that, for some reason, the person is unable (not just unwilling) to hurry. So, I think the  would  option would be the more common situation.

• I wish I had been rich, ...  - this third conditional structure shows an imagined  past situation. In the sentence, 'being rich' refers specifically to the time when I borrowed the money (i.e., 'If I had been rich at that time , ...'). It sounds like the borrowing did not happen recently.
• I wish I were rich, ... - this second conditional structure shows an imagined (i.e. unreal) present situation, i.e. being rich now. We might use this if the borrowing happened recently.

My Favourite Hobby

If I were to pick one favourite hobby of mine out of the many I have, I will definitely pick gardening. I developed a taste for dancing when I was very young. Introduction:

My dream to become a Soldier started on an Army Day (January 15th), when I was still in High School. I witnessed the tribute paid to martyred soldiers at the Amar Jawan Jyoti in India Gate. It was followed by parades displaying Tanks, Missiles, and War Helicopters etc. The impression I received that day motivates me to realise my dream to become a Soldier.

Love of a Soldier:

The history of Indian independence and the life of freedom fighters has always fascinated me. These components further kindled my dream to become a Soldier.

Lifestyle of a Soldier:

On the one hand, the soldier’s life is a life of self-sacrifice. On the other hand, the lifestyle it offers far exceeds my expectation, and fuels my dream to become a Soldier. Opportunities to advance in ranks, paid study holidays, subsidized housing, free medical coverage and recreational facilities are provided, apart from regular salary and perks. Lifelong pension is awarded after retirement.

Conclusion:

Many young people in the country offer the time of their life to work for big Corporates. But, I am here to pursue my dream to become a Soldier and dedicate my life to the welfare of the nation. I often encourage my friends to follow my dream to become a Soldier, at least for a short service tenure ranging from 10 to 14 years.

At a very early age, my dream was to do something big in life. But along with that I still had some fears also. I want to have a successful career, and for this, I had set an aim. Besides this, few other dreams are also necessary for me like health, relationships, and many different aspects of life. However, I also fear to get fail in achieving all these targets.

Career Dream and Fear:

When I was a kid, my dream was to become a doctor. But during my growing age, the Bollywood industry fascinated me and then my dream of becoming doctor changed to an actor. When I passed my class 12 th , the only goal that hit my mind was becoming an engineer. I always fear of dreaming about big things, but if you have potential then, you can achieve anything in life.

Dream and Fear of Health and Fitness:

When I was young, I was not so much concerned about my health. But now I realized the importance of having good health. My dream of becoming fit and healthy was only achieved due to strong willpower and eagerness of doing regular exercise. With this thought, I managed to lose around 15 kg easily. Now, I don’t fear about eating any food as I compensate that with my daily workout.

Dreams and fear about the relationship:

There is a special place of relationships in my life, and sometimes I fear about losing the important people in my life. But, now I realize that instead of thinking negative, we should try to spend more time with the people. It is as essential as my dream of good career.

Thinking only about the career and success with the little amount of fear might not offer you complete happiness later. It is good to become serious about your career, but you should also try to overcome any fear for a more successful life ahead.

Life is a dynamic process that has its ups and downs. Juggling the disparities of life can be very stressful at times and that is why you get your mind wondering in thoughts. Most thoughts are usually based on what people desire, which we call the dream life. The desires in life may not always be achieved but it is good to have a picture or at least an idea of the kind of life on desires to have. How my dream life looks like:

Socially, I have always imagined myself being a very influential person in my society. Currently in school, I always have the urge to influence someone but I still lack the confidence and resources to do so. I have always wanted to travel the world and explore different cultures of the world through interactions with people. I also imagine of having a great family with whom I can travel the world with.

Career-wise, I want to work at the comfort of my own home and be flexible so that I can always have time for my family. Spiritually, I have a desire to always be in good terms with God and follow the doctrines of my religion.

Economically, I want to be self-actualized at an early age so that I can focus on my influential personality, having all the resources I need. I want to be satisfied with what I will have achieved and work on living a happy life.

How I plan on living my dream life?

Living the dream life can begin any time that you chose to be as an individual. For my dream life, the things that I can achieve while still at school is the ability to have a spiritual wellness and flowing the doctrines of my religion. I can also start learning to appreciate whatever I have and living a happy life.

For the desires that I cannot achieve at the moment, I will work towards achieving them by shaping and redirecting the pathway. For example, my career, I will pursue something in the university that will allow me to work from home without necessarily going to work.

A dream life is basically the desired of one’s heart inform of an imagination. A dream life does not affect the reality in any way.

A dream is something that helps you to mold your future and aim your life to an appropriate goal. Dreaming big will help us to work for it harder and finally achieve it. Without desire and aim in life, we cannot focus and work hard to fulfill our dream.

To get the admissions in a medical seat is not that easy. But I will work hard and crack the competitive exam to get a merit seat in the college. I will work hard from the beginning to end to improve my knowledge and keep updated about every upcoming and ongoing development.

I would like to choose the specialization when I can actually decide which one will suit my desire. I have an aim to serve the people in their needs and once I grow big enough to decide the correct career to fulfill my dream, I will work harder to achieve that as well.

After achieving My Dream:

Once I complete my whole medical courses I would be looking to practice in a well-reputed hospital to perfect my job. With this perfection I will start my own clinic and serve people for the rest of my life along with this I will help other students also to get trained to become a good doctor. I will make sure that my dream will come true at the best time.

We all have some sort of ambition or dream. My dream is to become a world class chef. Dreams play a very important role in moulding our future. There is a saying that “if you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it”. This saying implies that if you can work hard and put in your best to achieving your dream, it is very possible to live your dream. Working hard to achieve ones dream is easier said than done but if you put in your best effort and never give up, dreams are achievable.

In the path of achieving my dream, it is important that I take one step at a time. Even if I have a very big dream of becoming a word class chef, it is best for me to take steady and small steps by setting both long term and short term goals, by doing this, I am always working towards achieving my dream. When I take one step at a time, it helps not to rush into decisions and take things easy.

I know becoming a world class chef is not very easy and can only happen if complete and proper training from a very reputable institute and there isn’t much I can do at the moment to speed up the realisation of my dream since I am still in school. However, I still do my best to set my dream rolling, I follow a lot of cooking websites and blogs, watch cooking shows, read culinary books and I practice my cooking to sharpen my skills every time. These are all little steps I am taking towards achieving my dream. Though my goal is to become a world class chef, I have small goals in place for each month and year to come so that I can reach my dream.

A major hindrance to achieving my set goals and my dream is the lack of inadequacy of motivation. A lot of people have given up their goals and dreams just because they got tired on the way. It is extremely important to remain motivated and only stop is when the dream has been achieved. Highlighted below are some useful tips that I have used to keep myself motivated on the journey to reaching my dream:

i. Anytime I see that I am running out of drive and energy and I am becoming too tired to stick to my set goals, I try to remind myself of what my dream is and the feeling of pride and joy I will experience when I achieve it and become a world class chef. It feels like pressing a reset button and starting with a refreshed mind again and working harder towards achieving my dream.

ii. Long term goals and short term goals are set towards the ultimate goal of achieving my dream and as I reach these short term goals, I try to reward myself for my achievement. The reward can vary from eating dinner at my favourite restaurant or buying myself a new phone I wanted or going out with my friends. Rewarding myself is a very good way to remain motivated towards the achievements of my goals and ultimately my dream.

iii. When I work too much and have no time to relax and play, my productivity drops and I become dull. Therefore, it is a good idea to have some time for myself away from work to focus on something fun that I love. I find time in my schedule every day to engage in some form of leisure activity or sport.

iv. Having people who believes in my dream and support my goals around me makes all the difference. Having positive people helps me find the strength and courage to push on and not give up on my dream. They motivate me to work hard and do the best to achieve my goals and my dream.

v. A mistake is nothing more than an experience and an opportunity to try again and do things much better. So, instead of getting heartbroken and disheartened to the point of wanting to give up on my goals and dream when I face a tough time or make mistakes, I learn from the mistakes and move on as the tough times and mistakes make me a lot stronger.

I will keep working hard towards achieving my dream and I believe that I will become a world class chef one day.

Who in this world does not have a dream? A dream to buy a car, a dream to be a scientist, a dream to do something for the society, or just a dream to live a life with contentment. Something or the other, but surely every person has a dream. It is this dream that drives you to work hard, achieve your milestones and ride towards success in your life. Success need not be becoming the wealthiest person on the earth. Achieving even your smallest dream can be a huge success for you. Since childhood, you come across various fields which often you think of as your ultimate targets. However, most of them are just fantasies and fade away with time. Still, there are some things which just stick on to your minds and these very things eventually go on to be your dreams.

My Dream – My Passion:

Like others, even I have a dream. My dream is to join the intelligence unit of the country and serve my country with pride. Usually, in order to serve the country, people think of joining the armed forces. However, I have a different point of view. I dream to join the intelligence unit and provide inputs to these armed forces so that they can protect the country in a good way and not many lives are lost fight battles with our neighbours.

Where did it all start?

Since my childhood, I have been fascinated by the role of intelligence and the methods of work they are used to. I had got a chance to be with a couple of people early in my life who were in the same field and it is from here that I got so much stuck up with this profession that I have dreamt day and night to be a part of this elite team. Moreover, I feel that I have it in me to research about things as well as people and am known in my circles to extract information from nowhere. I feel that this talent of mine can prove helpful for the country as well. Intelligence plays a crucial role in the security establishment of the country. The inputs gathered from intelligence units help the government and the forces to plan their steps both at diplomatic and at the level of securing the borders.

Another thing which excites me about this dream is that it is not a conventional field such as common occupations which are sought after by most of the youth of our country. Another very important thing to mention here that you need not formally join the intelligence to realise this dream. By keeping a check on your surroundings and providing proper information to the police in case you notice an unfavourable incident is also a form of your contribution to the security agencies of the country. If everyone remains active, a lot many incidents such as terrorist attacks can be averted.

Why having a dream is so important?

Dreams are very important for everyone. Without dreams, there will be no desire to pursue. There will be no objective to reach. We will all be nothing without dreams. Not having dreams resembles pursuing a traceless homicide. It resembles following an undetectable shadow. It is a loathsome goose pursue. We should comprehend what we need to do and pursue that desire.

A great many people have dreams. Successful ones or little ones. Indeed, even the best individuals had dreams and that is the thing that has made them what they are today. Envisioning is basic for a person. Without dreams, you will lose enthusiasm forever lastly prefer not to live. You will be exhausted and tired of the equivalent dull schedules of your everyday life and won’t discover an enthusiasm for the most energizing things. Just with dreams, will you discover a reason to carry on with your life? You will begin buckling down towards the fantasy and will never lose enthusiasm forever. You will never tire and dependably be spurred. This is the most ideal approach to end up effective. So, dream and dream big. It is the only way to achieve contentment in life.

Be that as it may, with dreams, comes extraordinary duty. It is not just sufficient to dream and disregard that fantasy. Numerous individuals dream, however just some wake up and work for it.

It is basic to buckle down for your fantasies. Without this diligent work, a fantasy will just remain a craving in the subliminal personality and will never be accomplished.

On the off chance that you don’t have a fantasy, you can never appreciate the extravagances of life or all that life brings to the table. You will never appreciate the extravagances of life and you will never feel glad. You will be a disappointment and you will be nothing throughout everyday life. We should go that additional mile to achieve our objectives. Disappointments may come, however a state of mind to continue proceeding onward and attempting to enhance is completely accomplished by dreams. Dreams are the fuel that continues invigorating you to go further. Regardless of whether there are numerous snags throughout everyday life, you will, in general, continue moving further and attempting to be superior to anything your identity. Consistent and endless enhancement is extremely imperative in advancing throughout everyday life. It improves your identity and furthermore whatever you need to advance in. It causes you to gain from your missteps

Only having career objectives and succeeding professionally can disregard you after one point throughout everyday life. Work as constantly to accomplish these as you do to understand your ultimate dreams. Having a dream is not important. What is important is striving continuously to achieving it. The sense of satisfaction you acquire once you have attained your goals cannot be explained in words and has no alternative in life. So, strive hard and live your dreams. Who knows, what is there in store for you?

Wishes are endless for human being. One wish fulfills and steps in desire for something next. In case few wishes left unfulfilled they takes the back seat and the other ones springs up with passage of time.

Desires change their facet and their intensity as one swim with time. Things we wish to have very in our childhood are of no importance on attaining adolescence.

Adolescence wishes ranges from dream dinner date to owing latest gadgets. A mature adult has completely different set of desires.

It ranges from luxurious car to hefty bank balances. With age comes more satiability and an older generation desires more of solace and peace in life.

Youth marked by rush and hush for oneself and one`s family.  The main desires are materialistic driven towards attaining more in lesser time frame.

In order to meet the desire, the working population of a nation works tirelessly. This energy and zeal to get the maximum in minimum time is foundation of innovation.

Productive population of country desires to work hard and party even harder. This is the motto of today`s generation. This leads to opting for short cuts to achieve new heights of success.

Theoretically, it’s said that hard work has no short cut. In order to be on top niche, they leave no stone upturned in way. Short cuts are necessary for today`s impatient youth.

I am myself a strong believer in short cuts for success. But I don’t believe in compromising on moral values for success.

So, at time I wish I had a gadget which could change the emotional imbalance of today`s youth. A change in favour of morality and ethics, from disrespectful and self-centred attitude.

Young kids displaying carefree and non-concerning attitude toward their family. They are unconcerned about nation as a whole.

The priority is to display themselves as rich spoil brats of well off families who don’t care much about money.

They lie and spend useless among peer to project themselves. Sometimes kids put pressure on their family to buy expensive gadgets for them. The family out of love for their kids do meet their demands.

I found such parents helpless and have pity on them. Parents bring up kids sacrificing their comfort. kids put unnecessary pressure to meet their insensitive demands.

I wish I have some gadget or some super natural power to revert back such insensitive feeling of kids. Kids should make use of their intelligence quotient to make sure what is necessary for them and what is not.

Some youth succumbs to peer and fall prey to bad companies and usually end up being drug addicts. Initially they start with some late-night parties as hangout zone.

There steps in the habit of drugs and alcohol intakes as youth are more susceptible. They don`t understand the impact of actions   have huge impact on their future life as well as their families.

Boys and girls lack awareness falls for activities that cost them their lives too. Lack of healthy communication with family is the reason behind a juvenile misleading.

Increase in Number of cases where a minor is tool in crime. Clarifies that it’s quite easy to dictate and direct a mind-set of child.

They are not aware to understand the consequences of any action they undertake. Increased number of cases of kidnaps and human trafficking raises alarm.

To maximize their earning parents are not inculcating the moral values among kids. They trust maids more rather than grandparents for the upbringing of their kids.

Trust factor and bonding is missing among families. Friends and paid helpers considered handier.

At time I wish I could bring in some revolution which removes all the negativity from the human nature. It feels bad kids suffering for no fault of them.

Other makes monetary benefits from their sufferings. Such mind sets are so inhumane that needs to undergo complete mental revolution.

Poet Maithili Sharan Gupt has written emphasizing sacrifice as essence of human life. To quote him

Insaan hee voh jo insaan ke liyeh maray

Yeh pashu vravriti he ki aap hi aap charay

This means human are those who live and die for their fellow being. It’s an animal trait to fulfill their stomach and forget about the rest.

But human race has deteriorated its values. Morals have modified to the extent that it seems difficult to think of wave to change in nearby future.

Money minded people doesn’t hesitate to lure people to any extent. People jump into crimes sometimes willingly and sometimes unknowingly.  It defaces the human society making It more non livable.

There are articles on the blue whale challenge forcing the player to commit suicide at the end. The impact of gadgets may have impact to unstable minds to such a great extent is unimaginable.

How come someone have control over senses of other that they end up their live for such stupid challenge?

Though, government is taking action about the same.  In our personal capacity aren’t we responsible for the development of this inhumane challenge?

Youth caged in their issues and problem gets trapped. More prone are the ones who are reluctant to come up with family and stay hooked to gadgets and gizmos.

Being a social animal, we need to come and discuss our issues and desires with our elders. They not only guide but also are our best friends in time of need.

The supernatural power to change the mind-set is urgent need of time. I could be in possession of such power what could I wish more for and world could be a better place to live in.

Though I may sound a bit philanthropic at this time but being a productive part of population and being a responsible youth, I should desire for something which could bring in real life change.

My Only Wish

I am not a dreamer, yet I have my hopes and ambitions, and I always strive to achieve the goal that I have set before me.

Since my childhood, I have been very fond of reading books and playing challenging game. My mother tells me that I rode a horse, when I was only 8-year old, after I had seen a picture-book which contained a soldier riding a horse.

Again, at the age of 12, began to swim though my father scared me saying that water was a friend, but a foe too. As a student of secondary classes, I opted for swimming, and used to go to the school-pool every evening for training. It was then included in the Time Table.

Since I passed my Secondary Examination in second division, I took to reading of good books, in addition to my course books, and/ thus succeeded in securing 78 per cent marks in the Senior School Certificate Examination from this year.

I now wish only to be a great scholar. I read book almost on all subjects. Burning midnight oil is now very common for me, as this would help me in achieving my objective of being a scholar.

I have never liked, the job of physician, Engineering is Greek to me. Business and Commercial line is just the thing which I hate. Government service, according to me, is meant for the mediocre.

So, these ideas hardly leave any other opening for me. I wish only to be a scholar and I am glad, I am trying hard for the same.

I always thank God that he sent Rahul into my life as my best friend, and I also wish that everyone has a friend like Rahul. Rahul and I met on the first day of school after the summer vacation when we were studying in the 5th standard.

I also remember an incident when our class teacher asked him about his previous school and the place from where he came. He is a good speaker, and he gave an interesting answer to everyone in his introduction in class. 

He is good at studies and also a good athlete. He loves running and singing too, and his handwriting is also very neat and clean. I feel happy to become his friend, and he also loves my company, and we spend most of our time together.

My Best Friend Essay 200 Words

I have had a lot of friends since childhood, but Raghav is one of the kindest and most trustworthy friends for me. I must say that Rohan has been my best friend since childhood. He is a very good person and a true friend because he has a good manner that he never lies to anyone, and hates people who lie to him. He is a kind boy and also a sincere student. We both live in the same building, and our apartments are also in front of each other. 

My parents also met my friend in the school at the parents-teachers meeting, and they also like Raghav and his sincerity. We both have been in the same class from the 3rd standard until now. We are in the 10th standard now, and we both help each other in the preparation for Board exams, which will be held in the month of March. 

He always invites me to his house to play video games with him. Every Sunday, we both enjoy playing video games with popcorn and juice together. He has a set of badminton rackets and a shuttle, and we also play together in the evening near our building. We both love each other’s company.

Everyone has at least a single friend who is more than just a friend to them. Getting a friend is common, but getting a true friend is very rare and a bit special. It is like a big achievement for people to get a trustworthy and lifelong best friend. I also had a best friend in my life too since childhood. His name is Ganaraj, and his mother is Telugu. We are neighbors too and also classmates. We always sit together in school and also spend most of the time together. 

He is a very talented person and always supports me in my studies. We both like mathematics, and also we love to solve maths numerical problems. I like to play games, and we both always play games together and participate in the sports that are held in school. Our favorite sport is Cricket, and we both are good all-rounders on our school cricket team. Our class teacher always suggests and supports us to play cricket even better and also helps in education to achieve success in life.

He is very valuable to me, and I always value his friendship as I value my parents. He is like my family, as a brother from another mother. Whenever I need his help and support, my best friend is there for me to hold me. We both live in the precious moment and create memories that will stay with me forever. Our friendship is a kind of beautiful relationship, and I hope any kind will never break these mistakes. Every Sunday, we go together to a playground near our locality, and we spend most of our time there. My parents also like Ganaraj to be my friend. Everyone is happy with our friendship and has a strong bond that never goes down in any situation.

My Best Friend Essay 500 Words

My best friend’s name is Siddhart Jadhav. We have been friends since class 7th A in Alfred Nobel High School. We both studied in the same school in childhood but not in the same class as our sections are different. Later that time, all the students from all the sections are sorted according to the previous academics’ percentages and grades and separated into four different sections. Due to this separation, I met Siddhart in the 7th A, and we became friends at that time. Later, time goes by, and our friendship bond becomes stronger, and we become best friends with each other and spend most of our time together in school, tuition, and extra classes. We also sit on the same bench in the classroom. 

Our likes and dislikes are also common, and we also love to dance and sing. In every annual gathering and other function that is held in our school, we both participate and give our best performances. We never wanted to win the competitions, our intention was to enjoy the gathering. Some of our school teachers don’t like our togetherness and friendship, but some of them loved and always blessed our strong bonded friendship to stay longer and longer. Siddharth and I always talked in the running classroom, and most of the time, our teacher also punished both of us by standing outside the classroom. We always tried to irritate the lecturer in the chemistry lectures by asking tons of doubts and questions. We eat tiffin boxes sitting on the last benches.

Apart from this naughtiness, Siddharth is very punctual, and he is never late for coming to school and attending classes. He always completes his homework at a given time and being with him, I also start studying very well and completing my homework on time. He keeps his books and copies very clean. His writing is very nice and encourages me to write cleanly and clearly for better understanding. My parents also compliment my friend that being with him, I also become responsible and a good student.

Siddharth and I are both excellent football players and athletes. When we both start playing the football game, the opponent team never wins. Our sports teacher always motivates us and tells us that we will become good football players one day. My parents also know Siddharth very much, and they like his pleasant behavior. Feel free when Siddharth and I stay together, whether for playing games, video games, study, or for going out to have fun with other classmates. Siddharth is my best friend, my first friend. He is the one who offers me help in my studies when I need it, supports me and always shows love to me, defends me, and stands by my side in any situation no matter what. 

In academics, my best friend, Siddharth, is chosen to be awarded the best student of the year in the 10th class. He is one of the brilliant students of our school and also won many of the competitions that were held in school. He is like a well-wisher, and I always enjoyed his company. He, too, feels secure and relieved by spending time with me as well. He is like a problem-solving friend to me. I never wanted to lose him in my life.

Every person in the society has their respective wishes. This is all about their futuristic self by becoming someone who is capable of changing the perspectives and lives of other people. Many of us are still hoping that someday, our wish will be granted through the power of luck. Others prefer to work their goals in their own ways to ensure that their efforts and perseverance could pay off and could probably reach their successes in life. As a dreamer, there is nothing wrong when you aspire to something that you are able to achieve with passion and hard work. Wishing is all about increasing your sense of optimism as a way to encourage yourself to become something that you wish for being the person that you are.

My great wish is to complete by academic background by having a degree after college years or even in the graduate studies. The main reason is to become a leader someday that can lead people who will be the future generation if I reach elderly years. This means that my main goal is to achieve something that could enable my aspirations to succeed in the future. After pursuing my college adherence, the most significant step to make is to apply what I have learned from my previous studies to become a successful professional in the future. As a person with a dream that is always wishing that something should happen in the future, I hope that someday, I will be able to ensure that my aspirations will help me become a role model to other people with similar dreams to their lives and bringing their passion into a reality.

As a wish, I know that every goal is not achievable without having the effort to reach for it at any time. In this regard, wishing something special is a great endeavor in your academic life because you are able to prepare yourself for your future battle in the future. Working out in a great position encourages yourself to improve your life after graduation. Your parents or family member will be proud of what you have been accomplishing in your life that will sooner become a supporter with their lifestyle as you will be the next person responsible for becoming the next bread winner.  A wish may not be always granted if you will not work for it because every goal needs a proof that you are serious about becoming something that you love, no matter the situation is.

The learning insight when you want to have a great wish is to become patient while you are longing for something that you want to become someone memorable to others in the future. Graduating in college is one of the most important gifts that no one could replace it. The reason behind is that education is the most significant life changing event that every person must have to treasure. Achieving a degree is your passport to become a successful and influential person someday. With this regard, having the position to succeed in life aims to resonate your capability to become a memorable individual someday. Being a successful individual endure contentment wherever you go because you are permanently holding a precious gift that symbolizes your achievement allow no other individual or group could not take it away from you (Tierney, 2010).
