வீ.ராதாகிருஷ்ணன் என்றழைக்கப்படும் டாக்டர் சர்வபள்ளி ராதாகிருஷ்ணன் அவர்கள் 1888-ஆம் ஆண்டு, செப்டம்பர் ஐந்தாம் நாள் திருத்தணியில் உள்ள சர்வபள்ளி என்னும் கிராமத்தில் வீராச்சாமிகும், சீதம்மாக்கும் மகனாக பிறந்தார். இவரது தாய் மொழி தெலுங்கு.

இவர் தன் இளமைக் காலத்தை திருத்தணியிலும், திருப்பதியிலும் கழித்தார். ஏழை பிராமண குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்த இவர் கல்வியை, உதவித்தொகை மூலமாகவே தொடர்ந்தார்.
