Adobe Acrobat enables you to view a PDF document in full screen view. The full screen view is useful when you are reading an online document or making a presentation using a PDF document. In the full screen view only the pages of the document are displayed with items such as the window controls, toolbars, the title bar, the status bar, and the menu bar hidden. You can also set various preferences for the full screen view such as automatically advancing a page after a specified time duration thereby creating a slide show effect.

- Choose View > Slideshow . The pages of the PDF are displayed in the slideshow. Use the controls at the bottom of the screen to move from page to page or end the slideshow.
Other PDF Presentation Modes

- Rotate the view clockwise or counterclockwise: Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge also have this feature.
- Simple Mode: Present the PDF in the minimized window and hide other components.
- Reverse View: View PDF pages in reverse order.

How to Present a PDF like a PowerPoint
With Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can present a regular PDF in similar fashion to a PowerPoint presentation.
Format presentation
- Under the "Edit" tab, click "Preferences".
- Under the "Full Screen Navigation" Section, you can loop the presentation by checking the "Loop after last page" option.
- You can also set the "speed" of the presentation with the "Advance every [ ] seconds" option.
- It is recommended to leave the "Escape key exits" option checked in order to quit the presentation early.
Present PDF
- Under the "View" tab, click "Full Screen Mode". This will start the presentation.
- In order to end the presentation before it's finished, press Esc

Insert PDF file content into a PowerPoint presentation
Content from a PDF file might be what you need for your presentation, but it’s not as easy to get content out of a PDF file as it is from many other document types. There are two options, which depend on how you want to use the PDF content:
To show content from a PDF on a slide Take a picture of the part of a PDF that you want, and paste it on your slide.
To keep a PDF file as a support document for your presentation Insert the entire PDF into the presentation as an object that you can open and view during your presentation.
Note: Inserting PDF content is not possible when editing a presentation in PowerPoint for the web. You need a newer version of PowerPoint to follow these steps.
Insert PDF file content as a picture
Open the PDF that you want to insert a picture of, and then switch to PowerPoint.
Do not minimize your PDF window, and make sure it's the last window you have open before moving to the next step.
Make sure everything that you want to capture as a picture is visible in your PDF window. You may need to decrease the zoom level in your PDF to see everything you want to capture.
In PowerPoint, select the slide that you want to add the content to, and then, go to Insert > Screenshot .
Note: Depending on your window size, the Screenshot button may appear different.
Your PDF file should be the first thumbnail image in the Available Windows list.
Below the thumbnail images, select Screen Clipping . PowerPoint minimizes and shows the window with the PDF file.
When you stop dragging, the selected area appears on the PowerPoint slide as a picture. You can move it, resize it, crop it, and format it as you like by selecting it and using the Picture Tools Format tab.
Insert a PDF file as an object
Make sure the PDF file that you want to insert is not currently open on your computer.
In PowerPoint, select the slide that you want to add the file to, and then select Insert > Object .
In the Insert Object box, select Create from file , and then enter the PDF file location; or select Browse , find the PDF file, and then select OK .
This makes the PDF file part of the presentation file. The quality of the PDF file is reduced with this method, but you can open the full PDF file by double-clicking the image when viewing or editing in Normal view.
Note: If you receive an error when trying to insert your PDF file as an object, make sure you do not have the PDF file open.
Open the PDF from a Slide Show
To open the inserted PDF file during a Slide Show, attach an action to it.
In Normal view, on the slide with the PDF file, select the PDF file’s icon or image, and then on the Insert > Links > Action .
In the Action Settings box, select the Mouse Click tab if you want to open the PDF with a click, or the Mouse Over tab if you want it to open when you move the pointer over the PDF file icon.
Select Object action , and select Open in the list.

Save PowerPoint presentations as PDF files
When you save presentation as a PDF file it freezes the formatting and layout. People can view the slides even if they don’t have PowerPoint, but they can’t make changes to it.
Select File > Export .
Click Create PDF/XPS Document , then click Create PDF/XPS .
In the Publish as PDF or XPS dialog box, choose a location to save the file to. If you want it to have a different name, enter it in the File name box.
Optionally, if you want to change what the final PDF file is like, do any of the following:
At Optimize for , select Standard for higher quality (for example, if you want to print it). Select Minimum size to make the file smaller (for example, if you want to send it as an e-mail attachment).
Click Options to set how the presentation will appear as a PDF. Here are some of the available options:
To save the current slide only as a PDF, under Range , select Current slide .
To save specific slides as PDF, in Slides(s) , enter the slide number range in From and To boxes.
If you don't want to save slides, but instead only save comments, handouts, or Outline view, under Publish what , select an appropriate option. You can also specify the number of slides to appear in Slides per page dropdown box, and modify the order ( Horizontal or Vertical ).
You can choose to include frame slides, hidden slides, comments, ink, non-printing information such as Document properties or Document structure tags, in your PDF by selecting the appropriate options.
Click Publish .
There are two ways to make your PowerPoint for macOS presentation a PDF.
You can save your presentation as a PDF in File > Save As .
You can export your presentation as a PDF file by going to File > Export .
Both methods do the same thing, so you can choose whichever you're more familiar with when you want to create a PDF version of your presentation.
Method 1: Save your presentation as a PDF
Select File > Save As .
Choose the location where you'd like to save your PDF, and then in the File Format menu, choose PDF.
Method 2: Export your presentation as a PDF
In the File Format menu, choose PDF.

Set the print quality of the PDF
Features such as saving notes, saving slides as handouts, including hidden slides in the PDF, or setting the PDF to a smaller file size aren't available. However, you can set the print quality of a PDF to a higher or lower standard.
Tip: PowerPoint for macOS doesn't preserve hyperlinks in PDFs but if you save your presentation to OneDrive you can open it in PowerPoint for the web and download as PDF from there. PDF files generated from PowerPoint for the web preserve hyperlinks, are accessible, and also tend to have a smaller file size.
You can set the print quality of the PDF to High , Medium , or Low —depending on your need. By default, the print quality is set to High—which is the optimal choice for printing a PDF. Follow these instructions to set the print quality of the PDF:
Click the PowerPoint menu > Preferences .
In the PowerPoint Preferences dialog box, click General .
Under Print Quality (Paper/PDF) , set the Desired Quality to an option of your choice.
Click the File tab, click Download As , and then click Download as PDF . (The file is converted to PDF, and then a dialog box tells you that it is ready to download.
Click Download . A message bar appears to show you that the downloaded PDF file is ready to save to your computer. (The exact message varies depending on the web browser you're using.)
Click Save As , and then a dialog box appears that allows you to specify where to save the file on your computer.

How to View PDF in Full-Screen Mode? (Step by Step)

Are you looking for a way to view your PDF file in full screen on PDF reader to enhance the readability, but not sure how to do it? Here you will learn four different ways to open PDF in full screen. This is a step-by-step guide to view PDF in full screen mode just like how PowerPoint presentations are presented.
Part 1. Open PDF in Full Screen Via UPDF
UPDF is a user friendly and affordable PDF reader and editor. UPDF allows you to view documents in a full screen PDF mode just like any PowerPoint presentation. Also, it is the only app that offers more than just full screen PDF view. You can play with different options on the screen to display the file in full screen in PDF format for an impressive presentation. You can start the presentation from the beginning or on the current page. Even in the full screen mode, it allows you to make annotations like drawing with pencil and there is an option to erase any edits. To view PDF in full screen using UPDF, follow these simple steps:
Step-1. Open your PDF file using UPDF
If you have been using another PDF reader, you may need to right click on the PDF and select " Open with UPDF " option. Otherwise, open the UPDF app and then open the PDF document through ' File ' tab, just like you do with any other office document.
Step-2. Select Slide show
Once your PDF is open, you are in the " Reader " mode and you will find many options on the top.
Click on the far right option " Slide Show ". This will open the PDF file in a separate window in full screen mode.
Also, when you keep the cursor on the slide show tab, a submenu will open with 2 options viz. " Play from the Start " and " Play from the Current Slide ". Picking the first option will start the slide show from the beginning of the file or page one. Picking the second option will start the slide show from the current page.
There is a panel of options, at the bottom left corner. There is a " < " and a " > " icon, which are used to move the pages up and down respectively with the mouse. Also, the pages can be moved up and down with the arrow keys on your keyboard.
The far left " Edit " option has some annotation tools and laser pointer. If you click on the laser pointer option, two more options will pop up on the top of the panel. The red dot pointer option will change the appearance of the cursor to a red pointer.
The other option which looks like a tick mark will allow the pointer to draw a line on the screen when you drag the mouse.
Also, the annotation tools have a pen option with different colors and an eraser to erase any edits drawn on the page.
And if you are the one presenting, you can go to the presenter view. To pick this option, right click anywhere on the screen, click on " Use Presenter View ". Switching between these 2 options can also be done by clicking on the view icon on the top right corner.
To exit the full screen slide show, press " Esc " key.

If you have been using Adobe Acrobat reader, you may not even know that you can actually view PDF in full screen mode, like many of us. Adobe Acrobat also offers the option to view full screen PDF. Here are a few simple steps to do that:
Step-1. Open file with Adobe Acrobat
Open the PDF document with Adobe Acrobat. If you have been using another PDF reader, you may want to right click on the PDF and select " Open with Adobe Acrobat " option.
Step-2. Open full screen mode
Click on the " Menu " tab on the top left corner. From the menu option, click on " View " which will open a submenu. From this submenu, click on " Full Screen Mode ". Once you click on this option, your file will open in full screen mode.
To close the full screen mode, press " Esc " key.
Part 3. View PDF in Full Screen Via Google Chrome
If you do not use any PDF reader installed, do not worry, you can still view PDF full screen on Windows 10 or other versions on your computer using google Chrome. You may already have Google Chrome on your computer, or you can download it. Here is a step-by-step guide to view PDF in full screen using Google Chrome:
Step-1. Open file with Google chrome
If you have been using another PDF reader, you may want to right click on the PDF and select " Open with Google Chrome " option.
Click on the icon with three dots (more actions) towards the right of the window. This will open a drop down menu with " Present " option. If you click on this option, your file will open in full screen mode.
To close the full screen mode, press "Esc" key.
Part 4. View PDF in Full Screen Via Microsoft Edge
If you do not have Google Chrome, you can use Microsoft Edge to read as well as view full screen PDF. It is similar to how Google Chrome works. Here are the simple steps to follow:
Step-1. Open file with Microsoft Edge
If you have been using another PDF reader, you may want to right click on the PDF and select " Open with Microsoft Edge " option.
On the tool bar, towards the right side, there is a double sided arrow tab. If you click on this tab, your file will open in full screen mode.
Like most of us, you may not even be aware that you can view PDF in full screen mode before you stumbled on this page. You can use any method mentioned above. If you want to share your presentation with someone that doesn’t have Microsoft PowerPoint, you can save and share the file as a PDF. You can also adjust the way the slides appear on the PDF. Here's how.
When you save a PowerPoint presentation as a PDF file, the layout, format, fonts, and images of the presentation will remain the same. This lets users without access to PowerPoint view the presentation (though they are unable to edit it).
First, open the PowerPoint presentation to be saved as a PDF. Select the “File” tab and then click the “Export” option in the left-hand pane.
You’ll then be at the “Create PDF/XPS Document” tab. Here, select “Create PDF/XPS.”

Window’s File Explorer will appear. Select the location in which you would like to save your new file. You can see that the “Save as type” is now PDF. You can also rename the file as you like.
You may also notice the “Optimize for” options at the bottom-right of the window:
- Standard: This is a high-quality version of the document, ideal for when you only plan to publish it online or print it out.
- Minimum Size: This is a lower-quality version of the document. It’s also suitable for publishing online, but ideal for when you need to send the document as an email attachment, as it reduces the size of the file .
You can also set specific options to adjust how the file appears. To do this, click the “Options” button underneath.
The “Options” window will appear, and you have several options to choose from. Here’s a brief overview of what’s available:
- Range: Export all slides, the current slide, or a selection of slides from your presentation.
- Publish Options: You can choose to export only comments, handouts, or outline view here by selecting the “Publish What” option. You’re also able to dictate how many slides appear on each page, flip the slides horizontally or vertically, or give the slides a frame.
- Include Non-printing Information: Include document properties or structure tags.
- PDF Options: Make the document PDF/_A compliant.
Once you’ve adjusted the options, click “OK.”
Finally, back at Windows File Explorer, click “Publish.”
Your PDF is now ready to share.

How to View a PDF in PowerPoint
PowerPoint gives you the option to implement all kinds of objects in your presentations, like photographs, movies, animations and even PDFs. If you need to display a PDF in your presentation, you can simply insert it so its first page displays in a slide or you can create a hyperlink that will open the PDF when you click it during a presentation. In the latter case, the PDF will open in your default PDF viewer, which is most likely Adobe Reader.
- Open the PowerPoint file you need to insert the PDF into.
- Navigate to the slide where you want the PDF.
- Click the "Insert" tab near the top of the window.
- Click "Object" in the "Text" group. The "Insert Object" dialog box will open.
- Click "Adobe Acrobat Document" and then "OK." A new window will open.
- Browse to the PDF file you want to insert. Click it and then click "Open" to insert the PDF.

If you insert a PDF into your presentation, changes to the original file will not affect your presentation.

Here, we can already see the limitations of the traditional Industry 4.0 approach. According to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs :
“Digitalising production is gaining a new level of quality with global networking across corporate and national borders: the Internet of Things, machine-to-machine communication and manufacturing facilities that are becoming ever more intelligent are heralding a new era: the fourth industrial revolution, Industry 4.0.”
In other words, technology, technology, technology. Industry 4.0 is the brainchild of the Industrial Revolution of the early nineteenth century. It is focused on technology.
That said, warehouse workers who had their clipboard replaced with an RF scanner are not necessarily better off. Even if the scanner is connected to the internet, the workers will still have their hands occupied by a piece of "tech."
