Rüdiger hat uns wieder die Zulassungszahlen für den Lancia Thesis im Januar 2024 organisiert und in einer Tabelle aufbereitet.

Ausserdem hat er bei der neuen Darstellung auch die Veränderungen gegenüber dem Vorjahr angegeben.

Im Januar 2023 waren in Deutschland nur noch 358 Lancia Thesis angemeldet.

Anbei die nach Bundesländern und Motor, bzw. Typschlüsselnummer (TSN) aufgeschlüsselte Tabelle.

Aus Datenschutzgründen sind Fahrzeuge mit einer TSN unter 100 zugelassenen PKW nicht mehr nach Bundesländern ausgewiesen, was inzwischen auf jede Motorisierung des Thesis zutrifft. Darum ist die Tabelle jetzt sehr übersichtlich geworden.

Die Daten in der Tabelle hat Rüdiger wieder nach Absprache mit dem Kraftfahrtbundesamt, aus der Gesamtabelle aller zugelassenen Autos in DE, aussortiert und für die Veröffentlichung auf unsere Hompage aufbereitet, so dürfen wir sie euch hier wieder exklusiv präsentieren.

 Im Januar 2021 waren noch 440 Thesis in Deutschland angemeldet, also 72 weniger als im Vorjahr.

Aus Datenschutzgründen sind Fahrzeuge mit einer TSN unter 100 zugelassenen PKW nicht mehr nach Bundesländern ausgewiesen, was so langsam auf jede Motorisierung des Thesis zutrifft..

Hallo Thesis Freunde,

seit September 2019 hab ich das Problem, das mein Thesis Connect Navi das Datum und die Uhrzeit nicht mehr synchronisieren. Das obwohl der GPS Empfang sehr gut ist und die Navigation problemlos funktioniert.

Nun habe ich zumindest herausgefunden, das es mit dem Alter des Gerätes, bzw. der verbauten Hardware zusammen hängt. Normalerweise sollte sich so ein Problem mit neuer Firmware lösen lassen, aber leider gibt es da seit 2006 nichts mehr von Lancia/FCA. (Frimware Stand V4.32).

Es gibt übrigens keine Möglichkeit das Datum und die Uhrzeit von Hand einzustellen, auch bei den Thesis ohne Navigation nicht, da sie genau das selbe Connect mit GPS verbaut haben.

Ergänzung: Für Thesis die keine Navigation aktiviert haben, hilft es den Stecker der GPS Antzenne zu entfernen. Sobald der GPS Stecker abgesteckt ist, kann man im Setup Menü das Datum und die Uhrzeit normal von Hand einstellen.

Als kleine unschöne Übergangslösung habe ich meine Batterie zur vollen Stunde kurz abgeklemmt und dann die fehlenden Stunden per Zeitzonen Einstellung im Setup Menu angepasst.

Meiner Erfahrung nach funkltioniert die Uhrzeit meist ohne Probleme, nur das Datum hinkt 21 Jahre hinterher.

Ich schreibe euch das ganze hier, da ich inzwischen mit 4 diversen betroffenen Thesis Fahrern zu tun hatte und von meinen 3 Ersatz-Connects auch 2 betroffen sind.

Es geht dabei um die Handhabung des Zeitsignals im GPS Signal.

6. NRW Kaffee Treffen Bad Ems

Anknüpfend an die inzwischen lieb gewonnene Tradition, die Lancia Thesis Fahrer aus dem Raum NRW (Nordrhein Westfalen) im Mai zu vereinen.

Findet am 6. Mai 2017 das 6. Kaffee Treffen (Raum NRW) in Bad Ems statt.

Wie gewohnt trifft man sich zum gemeinsamen Mittagsschmaus, dieses mal in Bad Ems.

Danach geht es gemeinsam auf eine Ausfahrt durch die schöne Gegend mit dem Ziel Concordia Turm , wo das Ganze dann beim gemeinsamen Kaffee ausklingt.

Lancia Thesis Treffen Kalender - 2017

 auch in diesem Jahr hab ich mir wieder etwas Zeit gelassen, aber jetzt ist der aktuelle Lancia Thesis Treffen Kalender für das Jahr 2017 endlich fertig. Naja, er geht nächste Woche in den Druck.

Bei der Auswahl und Anordung der Bilder versuche ich auch den Ablauf des Treffens nachzustellen.

Ich habe wieder eine verkleinerte PDF Version des Kalenders hier hochgeladen und hoffe das er euch gefällt, falls ja könnt ihr ihn wieder direkt bei mir bestellen.

Der Kalender ist wie jedes Jahr wieder in bester Fotoqualität gedruckt und hochglanz lackiert.

Ein wahrer Höhepunkt - 10 Jahre Lancia Thesis Freunde

Das diesjährige 10. Lancia Thesis Jubiläumstreffen war ein Highlight mit ein paar sehr eigenen Höhepunkten.

Rein technisch betrachtet, mit 62 Autos, die meisten Lancia Thesis seit Beginn der Treffen, oder 3 sehr seltene Farben von denen bisher nur einzelne Fahrzeuge dabei waren. (oder 10 jahre lang gar keins).

Menschlich betrachtet, ein Höhepunkt an Freundlichkeit und Wiedersehensfreude und begeisterte Erstteilnehmer.

Hier noch ein kurzer Abrsiss des Treffens:

Am Freitag erfolgte die individuelle Anreise, wir sorgten nur dafür das keiner hungrig ins Bett muss. Inzwischen reisen nahezu alle Teilnehmer am Freitag an, sodass unser Hotelparkplatz schon am Abend gut gefüllt war.

Am Samstag Morgen fuhren wir dann gemeinsam, über fast fremdfabrikatfreie Strassen bis ins Zentrum Bambergs, wo wir etwas Chaos in der Altstadt stifteten.

Mangels Parkmöglichkeiten vorort, suchten wir einen P+R Parkplatz auf, von dem wir mit einem Shuttlebus zurück ins Zentrum gebracht wurden, direkt vor die Haustür des Restaurantes Salino, in dem wir sogleich Mittagessen konnten.

Die Küche händelte die knapp 130 Bestellungen fast ohne Probleme und jeder wurde schnell versorgt.

Mit vollem Bauch starteten wir dann zur ausgiebigen Stadtführung, was ausser uns wohl noch dutzende andere Gruppen taten.

Die Hirne angefüllt mit unnützem Halbwissen ging es per Shuttle wieder zurück zum Parkplatz, wo in einem Quiz dann die restlichen brachliegenden Wissensreste abverlangt wurden.

Dabei wurde sehr spannendes Nischenwissen rund um FIAT und Lancia, sowie anderer Marken abgefragt.

Nach der fast gemeinsamen Rückfahrt zum Hotel gab es noch Zeit für gemeinsames Fachsimplen und anschliessendem Abendessen und Feuerwerk.

Was von manchen Teilnehmern mehr oder minder mit Begeisterung wahrgenommen wurde.

Wer nicht mitgemacht hat, hatte auf jeden Fall viel Spass beim Zuschauen.

Hier wurde dann auch gemeinsam zu Mittag gegessen, was mit anschliessender Siegerehrung den Schlusspunkt des Treffens bildete.

Es waren im Januar 2016 nur noch 785 angemeldet und somit 84 weniger als im Vorjahr.

BeNe Thesis Meeting Alphen a/d Rijn

Bei schönem Wetter, trafen sich 14 Lancia Thesis Freunde und hatten eine schöne Zeit zusammen.

Die Teilnehmer dürften dabei eine Auffrischung ihres Erste Hilfe Kurses mitmachen, den Umgang mit dem Defibrilator kennen lernen, sowie eine praktische Vorführung zum Reinigen des Thesis Wasserkastens.

Das ganze umrahmt von kulinarischenSpezialitäten und einer schönen Ausfahrt an den Kanälen.

5. Kaffee Treffen Bendorf - Sonne und Mehr

Danach ging es dann zwischen Weinbergen und Rhein hoch auf den grössten Hügel, wo wir uns in einer auf Brombeeren spezialisierten Schenke zum gemeinsamen Kaffee und Kuchengenuss einfanden.

Thesis, the last true Lancia

In 2002 with the Thesis, Lancia launched a valid attempt to return once again to the place it rightly deserved in the annuals of the automobile. The endeavour was inaugurated through a new flagship concept that offered a brave and very astute mix of the past and present and encompassed the celebrated legacy of the Turin brand.

The idea first came to light in 1998 at the Turin Motor Show where a concept called Dialogos was revealed, a semi-final prototype of a three-volume sedan with suicide doors and advanced technological components. The Dialogos was warmly received and a large investment was approved to put it into production. Surprisingly, in 2000, a version appeared for Pope John Paul II, which was given the name “Giubileo” (Jubilee).

At its presentation, in 2002, it was clear how Mike Robinson, chief designer at Lancia, wished to combine the stylistic features of the past with more decisive, contemporary touches; the nose that featured a large Lancia radiator grille, the diamond-shaped headlights and the soft fenders were reminiscent of the Aurelia, while at the rear those characteristically thin and innovative LED lights that look like slender fins, recall the Flaminia. The Thesis heralded a new stylistic language that was balanced by the opulent classicism of the interior. A language that was difficult to understand as history would sadly go on to confirm. The Thesis had the difficult task of repositioning the brand and bringing it back to international markets where Lancia had been absent since the early nineties after the Lancia K debacle.

A promise it was unable to fulfil as only 16,000 examples were produced. The rarity that followed, especially for the top-of-the-range versions powered by a 215bhp 3.0 V6 or the 230bhp 3.2 V6, both petrol engines sourced from Alfa Romeo and designed by Giuseppe Busso, makes it a somewhat inexpensive future classic worth betting on.

Il mancato successo di mercato di questa berlina Lancia è per noi uno dei più grossi misteri della storia più recente dell’automobile italiana; superato forse solo da quello, relativo allo stesso fenomeno, riguardante la sua erede: la Thema del 2011. Non che ci si potessero aspettare numeri da Audi, in quegli anni già diventata fenomeno di ipnosi collettiva, ma che in circa otto anni di produzione si siano costruiti a malapena gli esemplari di Thesis previsti per ogni anno, e cioè circa sedicimila, è qualcosa di difficilissima spiegazione.

Secondo noi l’origine di tale clamoroso insuccesso è da ricercarsi nella scomparsa degli autentici Lancisti, quelli che sempre si sono compiaciuti dell’originalità della propria berlina; i loro sedicenti eredi del 2002 potevano innamorarsi solo della Delta HF Integrale, come in effetti è accaduto, ma unicamente grazie alle sue strepitose vittorie rallystiche. Tentiamo questa analisi poiché la Lancia Thesis, dopo la disgraziata K che diede il via al declino della Lancia, era stata progettualmente curatissima e non aveva pecche.

La tanto discussa linea era stata creata volutamente così diversa dalle altre da Mike Robinson; per rendersi infatti conto di come egli fosse in grado di disegnare con canoni di bellezza più immediati basta osservare il suo prototipo Jaguar B99 Bertone; che poi la Thesis non sia stata capita non può significare altro che quanto detto più sopra; chi aveva orgogliosamente acquistato a suo tempo una Lancia Aurelia oppure una Flavia non avrebbe invece potuto che rallegrarsi di tanta personalità.

L’interno era stato curato da Flavio Manzoni, oggi ai vertici del design mondiale quale responsabile dello stile Ferrari; oltre ad essere di un’eleganza ancora una volta molto personale, presentava un’idea grandiosa: la plancia attraversata da piccolissimi fori attraverso cui passa l’aria climatizzata creando un flusso debole ma ampio che mai poteva creare fastidio agli occupanti pur essendo efficacissimo nel regolare la temperatura. Era inoltre impeccabilmente rifinito ed allestito con materiali di prim’ordine: pelle Frau di magnifici colori e modanature in radica, nonché equipaggiato con tutta la tecnologia allora disponibile all’epoca: navigatore satellitare incluso.

Istruiti da quanto accaduto con la precedente Kappa, uccisa sul nascere dall’inaffidabilità del suo primo motore diesel ad iniezione indiretta con precamera, fin dal debutto la Thesis fu equipaggiata con motori di sicuro affidamento; in ordine di potenza il JTD turbodiesel ad iniezione diretta da 150 CV; il 2.4 cinque cilindri a benzina da 170 CV; il 2.0 litri cinque cilindri turbo a benzina da 185 CV ed infine un 3.0 litri V6 di derivazione Alfa Romeo da 215 CV. Come si può notare una gamma molto orientata all’Europa dove si sperava di guadagnare almeno un poco del terreno perduto dopo la scomparsa dai listini della prima Thema; non a caso il cambio automatico era disponibile in opzione su tutte ed il due litri a benzina concepito espressamente per il nostro mercato, pur assolutamente affidabile, si rivelò il meno adatto alla macchina ed il meno venduto tra i motori disponibili.

Se l’auto, infatti, riuscì in qualche modo ad essere commercializzata in Italia lo si dovette essenzialmente alla Turbo Diesel, scelta come benefit aziendale per i dirigenti oppure addirittura venduta ad apparati dello Stato, Presidenza della repubblica compresa, in questo caso equipaggiata col più potente V6 necessario per smuovere la pesantissima versione blindata Protecta. Il comportamento su strada fu subito giudicato ineccepibile: tutto il telaio era nuovo e concepito per offrire al massimo grado quella combinazione di comfort e guidabilità tipiche delle automobili italiane e molto apprezzata da chi ama guidare, pur costretto ad una berlina.

Presentata al Salone di Ginevra del 2001, utilizzò la lunga parte restante di quell’anno, nella messa a punto delle fasi di produzione e nella promozione della vettura con prolungati test da parte della stampa specializzata; la produzione degli esemplari destinati ai clienti non iniziò prima del 2002; è quindi solo da quest’anno che è possibile acquisire una Lancia Thesis ’storica’: occasione da non lasciarsi sfuggire, a nostro parere, per tutti i collezionisti di questo inimitabile Marchio.

A nostro avviso, se a fianco di una Flaminia, una Thema anni’80 può anche mancare, l’assenza di una Thesis sarebbe un peccato. Segnaliamo al proposito, tra le altre, la versione Collezione Centenario del 2006 (poi 100th) con verniciatura bicolore, cerchi in lega specifici da 18” ed interno in pelle rossa; non che sia particolarmente elegante, preferiamo la Lancia Thesis in livrea unica più discreta, ma si tratta indubbiamente di una versione ancora più esclusiva di un’auto rara ed individualistica; è stata disponibile solo Diesel con cambio automatico, ma, conoscendo le doti del Multijet 2.4 20V, non ci pare un problema. Prezzi, per ora, sotto i quattromila Euro.

A city car is reportedly scheduled for mid-2014, a crossover for Q1 2026 and a hatchback, if green-lit, for 2027

Lancia currently has a one-model range that is exclusively available in Italy. However, this is going to change soon as Stellantis has big plans for the historic brand.

Automotive News reports that Lancia will unveil a trio of brand new models between 2024 and 2027: a city car, a compact crossover, and a compact hatchback. Stellantis Global Chief Design Officer Jean-Pierre Ploué will be responsible for the design, after pledging to create a fresh identity for Lancia inspired by its illustrious 115-year history.

The current generation Lancia Ypsilon might be performing well in terms of sales in its home market with more than 3 million units sold in 35 years, but the aging platform won’t hold for much longer. The Fiat 500-based model premiered more than 10 years ago at the  2011 Geneva Motor Show . Since then it has received a series of special editions and updates, including a  facelift in 2015 , the addition of a  mild-hybrid version in 2020 , and another discreet  facelift in 2021 .

According to the latest report, Lancia has already started the development of an all-new city car to replace the Ypsilon with a scheduled reveal in mid-2024. It will be based on a new version of the CMP / eCMP platform currently underpinning the likes of the Peugeot 208 and 2008, Opel Corsa and Mokka, and DS3 Crossback. This means it will be Lancia’s first fully electric model but it will also be available with a petrol engine as an alternative.

Lancia’s second new model will follow in the first quarter of 2026 in the form of a fully electric compact crossover. This one will be based on the STLA Medium platform that will also underpin several future models from the Stellantis brand portfolio. Four of those medium-sized cars will be produced at the Melfi plant in Italy, according to the workers’ unions.

Last but not least, there is another project on the horizon although this one hasn’t been green-lit yet. Rumor has it will be a compact hatchback that could potentially revive the Delta name. If Lancia ensures there will be enough demand for this segment in the future, the hatchback will be unveiled towards the end of 2027.

While nothing is official yet, we would love to see new models proudly wearing the Lancia badge and really hope that those long-term plans materialize. As a reminder, the last time FCA Group tried to revive Lancia was with rebadged Chrysler models for the European market – something that didn’t end up well.

Stellantis has declined to comment on the report but we wouldn’t be surprised if a future strategic plan is announced sometime in the next months. A few days ago, Lancia started publishing episodes of the docufilm “Elegance on the move” exploring the brand’s history. The official 115th birthday celebration is scheduled for the 27th of November 2021.

Either way, Stellantis CEO, Carlos Tavares, has secured 10 years’ worth of investments for Lancia, Alfa Romeo, and DS Automobiles. During that period, the three premium brands of the group need to define their vision, build a roadmap, share development costs, and prove they can be viable in the long term.
