Kolhan university phd admission 2022-23 eligibility criteria.

• Master’s degree or equivalent professional degree with at least 55 % marks in aggregate or its grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade.
• Candidates who have cleared the M. Phil / M. Tech./M. E./M. S./M. D. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate; or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale in a grading system) and have successfully completed the M. Phil./ M. Tech./M. S. Degree shall be eligible to work towards the Ph. D.
• A relaxation of 5%, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as decided by the Commission from time to time.

Selection will be on the basis of KU PhD Entrance Test (KUPET) & interview.

Exemption From Entrance Test

Candidates fulfilling one of the following criteria shall be exempted from Ph. D. entrance test (KUPET)

• Completed an M. Phil. or equivalent Degree from any other recognized Universities in India as per the UGC guidelines from time to time.
• Qualified in GATE/SET/NET (JRF) Examination.
• Teachers, who are in service in the Kolhan University, may directly appear for interview.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the PhD program:

• You should hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate, or its grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade.
• Candidates who have completed M. Phil, M. Tech, M. E., M. S., or M. D. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate (or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale) and have successfully obtained the M. Phil, M. Tech, M. S. degree are eligible for PhD.
• A relaxation of 5% (from 55% to 50%), or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be granted to candidates from SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), differently-abled, and other eligible categories, as decided by the Commission.

Exemption from Entrance Test

You may be exempt from the PhD entrance test (KUPET) if you fulfill any of the following criteria:

• Completed an M. Phil, M. Tech, M. D., M. E., M. Pharm, M. Arch, or equivalent degree from any recognized Indian university in accordance with UGC guidelines.
• Qualified in GATE, SET, NET, JEST Examination, or hold a teacher fellowship.
• Hold a scholarship from national apex bodies such as DST, UGC, CSIR, ICAR, ICMR, DBT, NBHM, MOTA, AYUSH.
• Hold the position of a scientist in a national-level research laboratory and have published at least one research paper in refereed journals.
• Are a foreign national holding research visas issued according to HRD Ministry guidelines, provided all other eligibility conditions are met.
• Teachers currently in service at Kolhan University may directly appear for an interview.
• Scientists and professionals working at R&D institutes of the Government of India or State Government may directly appear for an interview or e-interview, subject to fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria.

Exemption from PhD Course Work

Candidates with an M. Phil, M. Tech, M. D., M. S., M. Des., or equivalent degree are exempt from course work. However, they must participate in an interview, prepare a synopsis, and make a presentation.

If a candidate has already completed the Pre-Ph.D. Course work or a post-PG Scientist training program or an equivalent post-PG training program lasting one year (two semesters) at any government university, centrally funded institution, or research institution, they may also be exempted from course work with the approval of DRC.

THE KOLHAN UNIVERSITY JHARKHAND.

I like the campus and the Playground here and different zones for girls and boys .

Parents and Guardians could come here and feel free to roam around anywhere in the campus

There's nothing much to dislike but the hostel need to be neat and clean.

Also the Peon's Salary should be increased so that they don't hate this work.

I have chosen this college because many of my friends graduated from this College and had positive reviews about admission, teaching, and extracurricular activities. The teachers here are kind and are a kind of motivation to all the students here. They always talk about our future and give us nice advice about how to take decisions for a better future. Overall I love this college and most of the teachers serving here.

Kolhan University offers admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and research-level degree programmes. Admission to some of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the university will be done based on the CUET 2024 entrance examination. The CUET UG 2024 and CUET PG 2024 entrance examinations were conducted earlier this year and the results for the same are still awaited.

The courses are available in a wide variety of specialties, and candidates are chosen based on the marks they received in their previously passed qualifying exams. To be eligible for the courses, the candidates must meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the college. The application form must be completed and submitted on the official website when the eligibility requirements are satisfied.

Students must have completed Class 10+2 grade level/diploma or Bachelor’s degree from a recognized educational board with a minimum of 45-50% aggregate marks to meet the basic Qualification and Eligibility standards for enrollment in the University's several programmes.

The college provides training programmes and career counselling to assist students in defining their identities and pursuing their vocations. Students are accepted into any academic programme of their choice if they fulfil the university's requirements for admission given to several programmes.
