नई दिल्ली. टीवी से ओटीटी तक अपनी एक्टिंग से लोगों के दिलों पर राज करने वाले एक्टर ऋतुराज सिंह का निधन हो गया है. 60 की उम्र में उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली. ऋतुराज सिंह इन दिनों टीवी के लोकप्रिय शो अनुपमा में नजर आ रहे थे. अभिनेता की अचानक निधन की खबर सुनकर टीवी इंडस्ट्री में शोक की लहर है.

एक्टर ने कई और लोकप्रिय टीवी शोज का हिस्सा रहे और अपनी दमदार एक्टिंग से लोगों के दिलों पर राज करते रहे. ऋतुराज सिंह के अचानक निधन की खबर सुनकर इंडस्ट्री के लोग ही नहीं फैंस भी गमगीन हैं.

कैसे हुआ ऋतुराज का निधन ऋतुराज को 19 फरवरी को कार्डियक अरेस्ट आया था, जिसके बाद उन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था. एक्टर पिछले काफी समय से बीमार थे. वह अग्राशय संबंधित समस्याओं से जूझ रहे थे. एक्टर की अच्छे दोस्त अमित बहन ने उनके निधन की खबर की पुष्टि की और दुख जताया है.

टीवी और फिल्मों का रहे हिस्सा ऋतुराज सिंह टीवी के कई पॉपुलर शोज का हिस्सा रहे हैं, जिसमें ‘अपनी बात’, ‘ज्योति’, ‘हिटलर दीदी’, ‘शपथ’, ‘वॉरियर हाई’, ‘आहट’ और ‘अदालत’, ‘दीया और बाती हम’ जैसे हिट शोज हैं. इन शोज में उन्होंने अलग-अलग किरदार निभाए हैं. ऋतुराज अब तक कई हिंदी फिल्मों में काम कर चुके थे, जिनमें  ‘राजनीति’, ‘बद्रीनाथ की दुल्हनिया’ आदि फिल्में शामिल हैं.

Rituraj Singh was born Rituraj Singh Chandrawat Sisodia [2] Madhavi Narulla on Saturday, 23 May 1964 ( age 59 years; at the time of death ) in Kota, Rajasthan, India. His zodiac sign is Gemini. He did his schooling at Modern School on Barakhamba Road in New Delhi, India. He moved to the United States from Kota, Rajasthan, during his school days.

He returned to India when he was 12 years old and started learning theatre. Later, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the Hindu College, University of Delhi. [3] Madhavi Narulla Singh then worked in theatre in Delhi for 12 years with Barry John’s Theatre Action Group (TAG).

Rituraj Singh dies at 59; Varun Dhawan, Arshad Warsi, Rupali Ganguly mourn his passing: ‘We lost a good human being and a great actor’

Television actor Rituraj Singh passed away on Tuesday after suffering a cardiac arrest. The actor, who was seen in the popular series Anupamaa, and has been part of several shows in his three-decade career, had recently been hospitalised for a pancreatic illness. Several colleagues and friends from the television industry took to social media to express their condolences over the shocking news.

Rupali Ganguly also posted a few pictures of Rituraj from the set and penned a heartfelt note, she wrote, “It was an honour to share screen space with you, like an enthusiastic student getting to learn her favorite subject from a teacher who has taught many others, I was overjoyed. You said you had seen my work and yet I wanted to prove to you that I could earn my place in the frame standing next to one of the legends of television whom I had watched growing up… your all-knowing smile after our scenes and your words of encouragement was like a report card to me. I was thrilled by your kind words… but there was so much more to learn Sir. These pictures I had taken of you when you wore the chef cap, I was tardy in sending it to you, never thought these would be put up here as a remembrance. Your life stories, quirky sense of humour, immense knowledge about world cinema, and talent shall always be remembered. Thank you for being Yashpal Sir to my Anupamaa. Thank you for the words that left an indelible mark.”

Actress Sneha Wagh also expressed shock over Rituraj’s demise and said in a statement, “It’s just a couple of days ago that my first Hindi TV series Jyoti completed its 15 years of launch, and today this news of Rituraj ji passing away has had me in shock! I was very young and I remember him mentoring us like we were little kids. He played an important role in the show. When we were on set, his cheerful laughter changed the whole environment. He made sure that everyone was in a good mood. It’s not okay to wake up to such sad news. Recently I saw him in a lot of movies and OTT shows. He was doing well. I wish he had taken better care of his health too. My condolences to his family and friends. We never know what times are ahead of us, let us pray for each one of us to gather the strength to face the realities of life.”

Actor Varun Dhawan , who worked with Rituraj Singh in Badrinath Ki Dulhania remembered the actor in his Instagram story and wrote, “#RIP Rituraj sir had such a wonderful time working with him and had Just meet him few months back on the sets of baby john – Om Shanti”.

Actor Arshad Warsi wrote on X, “I am so saddened to know that Ritu Raj passed away. We lived in the same building, he was a part of my first film as a producer. Lost a friend and a great actor… will miss you brother…”

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta expressed shock in a post on X as he wrote, “Rituraj!!!! Can’t believe this! I directed him briefly in a daily soap called K Street Pali Hill but in the process we became good friends. Been a while since we hung out but I have such fond memories. Untapped actor and a warm human. Gone suddenly and too early.”

Actor Hiten Tejwani, who worked with Rituraj in Kutumb, told indianexpress.com , “I don’t know what to say. It’s sad. We lost a good human being and a great actor. My heartfelt condolences to the whole family.”

Rituraj’s close friend and actor Achint Kaur spoke about her friendship with the late actor, and said, “How to explain a friendship of more than 25 years. My first friend on the first of my shoot. All he wanted was to make every moment matter. We laughed and fought equally. A person with no judgment, sharp, witty and intelligent. So so giving and full of love. I am sure he would have started creating chaos up there by now. May his soul find what it was looking for. Praying his family finds the courage to deal with this loss.”

Actor Lillete Dubey paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor by sharing some old pictures with him. In the caption, she wrote, “Lost an old friend and co actor Rituraj Singh today.. and was very sad..we had worked together in theatre since he was in his 20’s .. endearing, affectionate and a terrific actor on stage, he also straddled TV & films later and I always felt he never got the parts that really shone light on his immense talent .. met him very recently after ages and we promised to catch up properly ..a promise that will be fulfilled elsewhere now I guess ..RIP dearest Ritz ..Will miss you ..The pic is from a play he did for me ‘ On a Muggy night in Mumbai ‘ by Mahesh Dattani , in which he was wonderful!”

Rituraj’s death was confirmed by his friend and actor Amit Bahl. Amit told indianexpress.com that Rituraj Singh died at 12:30 am. In a statement, he said, “He was unwell. Was hospitalised 15 days back due to some pancreatic issues. Was back home few days back, but yesterday was feeling really weak and they rushed him to hospital. But he got the attack before reaching hospital.”

Actor Sandip Sikand told indianexpress.com, “I am shocked and heartbroken on hearing the news. Someone posted the news on one of my WhatsApp groups early in the morning and since I have just been in shock. I have worked closely with Rhitu in Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii, he was one of the only actors who gave me a warm welcome on the show. To say that he was a brilliant actor is an obvious thing, but more than an actor he was one of the finest human beings that I know. I am really saddened by the news. May his soul rest in peace and may his wife and kids get the strength to deal with this loss.”

Rituraj Singh is a popular actor associated with Hindi soaps. He is also an accomplished theater artist who has been associated with Barry John in Delhi for 12 years. He was seen in the popular play - Tol Mol Ke Bol. Jyoti, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Hitler Didi, Shapath, Warrior High, Aahat, Adaalat etc are some of his popular soaps, where he played a varied range of emotions. One of the popular actors at present, he currently plays the role of Kabbadi Coach Mahendra Singh in the popular series of Star Plus - Diya Aur Baati Hum since 2015. His entry to the show has given a few twists as well. He has also appeared in a few episodic shows like Shapath, Sssshhh... Phir Koi Hai , Warrior High etc. He was also seen in the National award winning English feature film - Miss Beatty's Children .

His parental house is in Khatipura of Jaipur, Rajasthan. He has moved to Mumbai around 25 years ago. Though busy with shooting schedules, he used to give surprise visits to his parents when they were alive.
