• Use A4 Size Paper

• Leave Margins

Leaving a 1-1½ inch margin on the left side of the paper is essential. This space allows instructors to add comments and feedback, ensuring that your assignment is evaluated effectively.

• Maintain Adequate Spacing

To enhance readability, leave at least four lines of space between each answer. This practice helps instructors easily distinguish between different sections of your assignment.

• Separate Assignments

Plagiarism is a serious offense in academics. Never copy from another student, as it can lead to returned assignments or reduced marks. Maintain the integrity of your work.

• Add Your Signature

A personal touch to your assignment is adding your signature at the end. This serves as confirmation that the work is your own and authenticates your submission.

• Keep a Copy

Always retain a copy of your assignment for your records. This precautionary measure ensures that you have a backup in case the original gets misplaced.

• Acknowledgment Form

IGNOU Assignment Submission 2024 can be done by IGNOU students online through IGNOU official Website, Google Form & Email (if available).

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is the largest university in the world in terms of student enrolment, with over 40 lakh students enrolled in its various programmes at Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and Doctoral levels.

IGNOU assignments are an important part of the final grade card and they are usually submitted at the end of each semester before the conduct of Term End Examination (TEE) which is conducted twice a year.

IGNOU assignments can be submitted online as well as offline. However, online submission may take time and marks may not be updated if done incorrectly.

Submitting IGNOU assignments online properly will ensure that IGNOU students are properly assessed for each semester and are also eligible to appear for the upcoming TEE.

IGNOU assignment submission last date for the Term-end examination (TEE) June 2024 has been extended until 30th April 2024 . This allows IGNOU students to ensure their eligibility to appear in the upcoming June 2024 exams by submitting their assignments.

IGNOU uses a variety of methods to deliver its programs to students, including self-study materials, print and electronic media and regional study centres.

Front page of IGNOU assignment should have all the necessary details such as Name, Enrolment number, Program, Address of the study center, Mobile number and Email address etc.

How to Submit IGNOU Assignment 2024 Online

IGNOU students can submit their IGNOU Assignment 2024 by 3 ways as given below:

• Submit IGNOU Assignments through IGNOU Website
• Submit IGNOU Assignments through Google Form
• Submit IGNOU Assignments through Email (if available)

Submit IGNOU Assignment 2024 through IGNOU Website

Steps to submit IGNOU Assignment 2024 through IGNOU website are as follows:

• Visit IGNOU official website (ignou.ac.in)
• Access the student portal by clicking on the ‘Student Zone’ link in the menu.
• Log in using your enrollment number and password to enter the student portal.
• After log in, click on the ‘Assignments’ tab to proceed with your IGNOU assignment submission process.
• Click on the ‘Submit Assignment’ link.
• Now, select the assignment code and session for which you want to submit the assignment.
• Upload a properly scanned copy of your assignment in PDF format to the IGNOU portal.
• Finally, click on the ‘Submit’ button to successfully upload your IGNOU assignment 2024 for evaluation.

Submit IGNOU Assignment 2024 Through Google Form

Steps to submit IGNOU Assignment 2024 through Google Form are as follows:

• IGNOU students should click on the link provided to their dedicated regional center.
• Now, fill the google form with all the required information correctly, such as Name, enrollment number, section, subject name, subject code, course name, course year etc.
• Ensure that your assignment is scanned and saved in PDF format before uploading it to the submission portal 3 .
• Upload a properly scanned copy of your assignment in PDF format.
• After uploading your IGNOU assignment, verify all the details and click on ‘Submit’ button to finalize your IGNOU assignment submission process.
• Click on the ‘send a response on the mail’ option to get a copy of your response.

Submit IGNOU Assignment 2024 through Email (if available)

IGNOU Students have the flexibility to submit their assignments via email but this option may not be available for all assignments as it varies based the faculty and how they want their assignments.

It is essential to confirm the availability of the email submission option bia email and ensure that the correct email ID is used for submission.

Important Guidelines to Remember Before Submitting IGNOU Assignment 2024

IGNOU Students must follow all important guidelines before submitting their assignment online to avoid rejection of their IGNOU assignment 2024.

• IGNOU only accepts handwritten assignments and typed assignments are not permitted.
• IGNOU assignment document must be in a PDF format.
• Ensure that the scanned assignment is clearly readable and avoid submitting blurry images in the assignment pdf to avoid loosing marks.
• IGNOU assignment pdf file should be saved with your name and the maximum assignment file size limit should be under 100 MB.
• IGNOU students should only enter their email ID while submitting their IGNOU assignment
• Do not submit the IGNOU assignment pdf multiple times to avoid any confusion.
• If a student has submitted a hard-copy of their IGNOU assignment then online submission is not needed.
• IGNOU students should ensure that only the required assignment pdf are submitted and not any other projects or documents.
• In case of issues with online submission of IGNOU assignment, students can also submit a hard copy of their IGNOU assignment directly to the institution.
• IGNOU students should avoid submitting locked or password-protected IGNOU assignment pdf files because assignments with such restrictions will be rejected.

How many times can you Submit IGNOU Assignments in a Year?

The number of times IGNOU students have to submit their assignments are determined by the type of program they are enrolled at IGNOU as it has 2 systems of programs: semester and year.

• If you are appearing for IGNOU exams twice a year such as for courses like BCA, MCA, MBA, B.Com and M.com then you are in a semester program and you have to submit your IGNOU assignment twice a year.
• If you are appear for IGNOU exams only once a year then you are in an annual program and you have to submit your IGNOU assignment once a year.

IGNOU students must login to their admissions portal to check if their program is half-year (semester) or full-year (year).

When to Submit IGNOU Assignments Online?

IGNOU Students should always refer to the IGNOU website to find the most up-to-date information regarding IGNOU assignment submission deadlines. Generally, the deadline for the June session is in April and deadline for the December TEE is in October.

Check the official IGNOU website regularly for any changes or updates is crucial to ensure timely submission of assignments.

How are IGNOU Assignments Evaluated?

IGNOU students should follow all the IGNOU Assignments Evaluated criteria upon which assignments are evaluated by IGNOU faculties to achieve high marks in their IGNOU assignments submitted online or offline.

IGNOU Assignments Evaluated criteria are as follows:

• Content : The faculty will evaluate the accuracy, comprehensiveness, and relevance of the assignment’s content to the given topic.
• Grammar and Spelling : The teacher will evaluate the grammar and spelling of the assignment to ensure that it is free of errors.
• Structure : Faculty will evaluate the structure of the assignment to ensure that it is well-organized and easy to follow.
• Originality : Faculty will check the originality of the assignment to ensure that it is plagiarism free.
• Presentation : Faculty will evaluate the presentation of the assignment to ensure that it is neat and well-formatted.

How to Submit IGNOU Assignment for TEE June & Dec 2024?

IGNOU Assignment Submission Methods 2024 – As per the regular schedule of the IGNOU Assignment submission, the university going to accept the IGNOU Assignment for the Term-end examination June 2024 till 30th April 2024 so the students can submit their assignments latest by 30th April 2024 to get eligible to appear in the upcoming TEE June 2024 . It is also noted that the given last date is subject to change or extension that should not be treated as the final date of submission.

The university may extend the assignment submission date so candidates have to wait for the official announcement from IGNOU after they missed the due date. The students now can also submit their assignments online if they are not able to visit their respective centers.

So, now there are three different ways how the students can submit the assignments based on their convenience.

• IGNOU Assignment 2023 (Last Date)
• IGNOU Assignment Status 2023 (UPDATED)
• IGNOU Project 2023 (Online Submission)

Through Offline Mode

This is the usual way through which the students usually submit the assignments. The students have to finish answering the questions of the assignments and then submit them to the study center. While preparing the assignments, you should make sure that the very first page of the assignment should have all the necessary details.

• The name of the student
• Enrolment number
• Program and Code code
• Name, Code, and address of the study center where you are submitting the assignment
• Mobile number and email address of the student
• IGNOU Assignment Front Page (PDF)
• IGNOU Study Centre List

If you are submitting the assignments directly through offline mode, the person at the study center will offer you a receipt that you need to keep safe till the result is not declared.

Through Online Mode

For students who are not able to visit the study center to submit the assignments can also submit them online now by following any of these two methods. It is noted that both of the methods are subject to availability at the respective regional centre.

Google Form

The very first method is that of Google Forms. The students can visit the respective regional portals of IGNOU and then submit the assignments. You can follow the below steps for the successful submission of assignments through Google Form.

Step – 1 – First of all, have a look on the list of IGNOU Regional Centres at the Official Website of IGNOU and go to your RC website.

Step – 2 – On the homepage of RC’s official page, go to the section of News and Events.

Step – 3 – You should get the option of Assignment Guidelines or Assignment Submission on which you have to click.

Step – 4 – As you click on the link, the Google form will get open in the browser.

Step – 5 – Now now start filling the form with proper details such as your name, enrolment number, subject code, and others.

Step – 6 – Carefully upload the scanned copy of your assignment and submit the form.

Instructions to Follow

While you are submitting the assignments through Google Form, make sure that you follow these important instructions.

• You have to fill a new form for each subject.
• Make sure that you are uploading the assignment files correctly.
• You need to scan the handwritten copies of the assignments and upload them.
• The scanned copy of assignments should not be more than 100MB.
• You should only submit the PDF format of the scanned copy.
• Though you will be entering the basic details in the Google Form, it is also a great idea to mention the same details on your assignment copy also.
• The option of submitting the assignments through Google Forms will be available only when the quota of email submission is over.

Through Email Address

Though IGNOU has started the option of submitting the assignments through Google Forms, it will be not available in all the regional centers. The option of Google Forms will be only applicable if the email quota of a regional center is over and they are not more able to receive assignment emails from the students.

Here is the method that you need to follow to submit your assignments through email.

Step – 1 – Mention all the important details on the front page of your assignment that you would do in the case of offline submissions such as name, subject name and code, program and course code, study center name and code, contact details, and others.

Step – 2 – Scan your handwritten assignment copy and get it in PDF format. Each subject assignment should be in each PDF copy.

Step – 3 – Find out the email address of your regional center from Google in the same way how you search for the regional center portal link.

Step – 4 – In the body of the email, provide all the details in a listicle format that you have mentioned on the front page of your assignments.

Step – 5 – Now attach the PDF formats of your assignments and send the email to the respective regional center email address.

After you have sent the email, you should receive an acknowledgment. It may take a few hours to get this acknowledgment email. But if you have still not received it, you should check whether the regional portal has shared the link for Google Forms or not and should upload the assignments there too.

It is also noted that the many of the regional centre of IGNOU is not sending any confirmation or acknowledgment after the submission of IGNOU Assignments so you don’t need to worry about it instead of keep checking the status of your assignments to get the result.
