In fact, India is the greatest country. Our culture is great. The sages say that in order to take birth on this holy land, even the deities yearn in heaven because this land is the way to attain salvation and up-class. India is the seventh-largest country in the whole world in terms of area and it has 28 states and 8 union territories in India.

Historical Introduction

In ancient times, there was a majestic king named Bharat, whose majesty was spread over the whole earth like the sun. He established the republic Bharat with his strength and power. All the inhabitants of Jambu Island or Aryavrata were tied in the thread of unity. He loved all the people like his own son. Aryavrata or Jambu Island was named after him in India.

The future child of India was called Bharat. Since then till now this country is called by the name of India. During the Muslim rule, this country was called Hindustan. The British named it India. In the Constitution of independent India, this country was named Bharat. Further, it is famous as India.

Geography and Culture

As we all know that India is the second-largest populated country in the world. People of different religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Jainism, Sikhism, Christianity, and Judaism have lived together here since ancient times. “Vande Mataram” is the national song of India and “Jana Gana Mana” is the national anthem of India. India is surrounded by oceans on three sides are Bay of Bengal in the east, the Arabian Sea in the west, and the Indian Ocean in the south.

The national flag of India is a tricolor consisting of saffron, white, and green colors. The first color in the flag, which is saffron, symbolizes purity. The second color, which is the color white in the middle of the flag, is a symbol of peace. The third color which is the lowest in the flag is green and it symbolizes greenery. In the middle of the flag is the blue Ashoka Chakra, which has twenty-four spokes and is divided equally.

Land of legends

Since ancient times, this country has been the holy land of sages and great men. Such learned men adorned this country. It became the abode of the mode. There is no discipline or art whose knowledge was not here at a high level.

No subject remained untouched by our sages. Literary creation has not happened in any other land as much as it did here in ancient times. Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Puranas are direct evidence of this. In the field of medicine, the sages here made such inventions that are not possible even today. Ayurveda is its direct witness.

Even in ancient times, object art here was at its peak. Science was at an advanced stage. The discussion of aircraft, and ship is available everywhere in old texts. In the field of weapons, it was so advanced that even the devastating divine weapons had been invented here.

The great men here made all-around development of India. Poets like Vyasa, Valmiki, Kalidas, Magha, and Bhavabhuti lived here. Rulers like Ashoka, Harsha, Chandragupta, Akbar, Maharaja Ranjit Singh, and Shivaji were here who gave systematic rule to the country. Social reformers like Buddha, Mahavir, Nanak, Kabir, Dayanand Saraswati, and Vivekananda were born here, of whom India is still proud.

Today’s India

Nature has made India all rich with its resources. But even after attaining independence, India has not been able to progress as much as it should have. Because no country can progress in the absence of skilled and patriotic rulers.

Today the situation has become such that 50% of the population of India is below the poverty line, and does not get enough food. On the other hand, the capital of the capitalists is increasing. The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer. Corruption, dishonesty, and fraud, have increased more among people of higher status. The wealth of the country is increasing on one side.

Today the ratio of the income of the poor to the rich is another lakh. Such disparity is not seen in any country in the world. The reason for this is that our politicians and officials lack national spirit. Our rulers and administrators are following in the footsteps of the British rulers. Only those who have come forward after getting an education from English schools can go to higher positions in India today. English has been made the test of skills.

Children who have acquired knowledge through a foreign language and they cannot have affection and affinity towards the country. Those who do not have affinity and love for the people, cannot have a sense of nationalism. Corruption, malpractice, dishonesty, and fraud, themselves flourish in the absence of national spirit. Today, English has become the basis of qualification for every walk of life, so India is lagging behind in the race for progress.

Today we have to uplift our morals to move towards progress. Unless the administrators love their language, culture, and tradition, they cannot have loyalty to the nation. To take the country to the pinnacle of progress, we have to work diligently in every field with the national spirit. Every citizen of India should be aware at all times. We should get involved in the progress of the country by eradicating mutual discrimination. Even today, we should make India a world guru and spread its fame.

Today, it stands as the world’s largest democracy and one of the fastest-growing economies. The journey of India’s development, however, is a complex tale of triumphs and challenges.

Post-Independence, India adopted a mixed economy approach, combining features of both capitalism and socialism. The Green Revolution in the 1960s marked a significant turning point, enhancing agricultural productivity and ensuring food security.

In 1991, India embarked on a path of liberalization, privatization, and globalization (LPG), opening up its economy to foreign investments. Initiatives like the Right to Education Act, Mid-Day Meal Scheme, and Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act aim to address issues of education, malnutrition, and unemployment respectively.

However, social development has also been hindered by persistent challenges like poverty, illiteracy, and gender inequality. To overcome these, the government has launched programs like Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, focusing on female empowerment and financial inclusion.

Technological Development

India’s technological development has seen a significant leap in recent decades. The success of ISRO’s Mars Orbiter Mission, digital initiatives like Aadhaar and UPI, and the burgeoning startup ecosystem reflect India’s technological prowess and innovation.

India’s development journey is a tale of remarkable achievements and formidable challenges. The key to future progress lies in inclusive and sustainable development. While the road ahead is arduous, the nation’s rich history and resilient spirit give hope for a future where India can fully realize its immense potential.

Different Types of Indian Festivals

India is well known for its cultural and traditional festivals all over the world. As it is a secular country full of diversity in religions, languages, cultures and castes, every month, some festival celebration happens. Among these festivals, some are religious, some are based on the seasons and some are of national importance. Each and every festival is celebrated uniquely in different ways according to the various rituals and beliefs. Each festival has its own history, legend and significance of the celebration. Festivals bring bonding, love, cross-cultural exchange and happiness among people.

National Festivals

Festivals and fairs are significant parts of Indian cultural life. Some of the festivals are celebrated at a national level, whereas others are at a regional level. National festivals such as Gandhi Jayanti, Independence Day and Republic Day are celebrated by people of all religions across the entire nation. These festivals fill us with great pride and remind us of the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to make India independent and free from British rule. The whole nation unites together to celebrate these festivals and the spirit of togetherness, patriotism and nationalism can be found everywhere.

Religious Festivals

There are some religious festivals which are celebrated as a whole by different communities.

These include Diwali, Dussehra, Rakhsha Bandhan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Zuha, Christmas, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc., which are accompanied by religious rituals of one kind or the other. These traditional festivals have two aspects. One is worship which is performed according to specific religious norms. Another is composite culture, as the members of any community can participate in and celebrate these religious festivals. Thus, our festivals represent unity and encourage social bonding.

Seasonal Festivals

In India, most festivals are seasonal in nature. They announce the change in the season and mark the harvesting seasons. All the seasonal festivals are celebrated during two harvesting seasons, Kharif and Rabi. Besides, spring is another period of seasonal festivals. In Punjab, the Lohri festival indicates the harvesting of the winter crop. Pongal, Bihu and Onam celebrations mark the harvesting of paddy crops. Similarly, Holi and Baisakhi are celebrated to mark the harvesting of new rabi crops. Thus, these festivals symbolise the arrival of joy and wealth to farmers’ lives.

It is said that the “Greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals”. India has proved this saying as a variety of festivals are celebrated with full joy and happiness across the country. Different cultures and religions get tied together in bonds of love with invisible threads of celebrations. That’s why India is also known for unity in cultural diversity. Festivals teach us how to fight evil and falsehood and establish the truth. The festivals are marked by fervour, hope, and prayers for a better tomorrow.

Essay on Incredible India

‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ - the most famous saying means guests are like God and it is the spirit of the Indian tradition and culture when they welcome their guests. It truly reflects the rich and cultural heritage and warm hospitality of the people of India. With a civilization of more than five thousand years old, India is a country with an amazing wealth of diversity. India stretches from the eternal snows of the Himalayas in the north to the peninsulas of the south from the arid desert of the west to the humid deltas of the east from the dry heat and cold of the central plateau to the cool forest foothills and the golden beaches. Thus, it offers an incredible choice of destinations for a visiting tourist to relish and enjoy.

India’s civilization is more than five thousand years old. India is the largest constitution and the biggest democracy in the world. India is a country that takes pride in having diverse religions, languages, races, cultures, flora and fauna, etc. The second most populated country in the world after China has twenty-nine states, twenty-two languages, many religions and a number of rivers flowing through it like the famous Ganges, the Indus, the Brahmaputra, etc. Its diversity is the essence of the country.

Lotus flower is the National flower of India. Tiger is the National Animal and the elegantly beautiful Peacock is the National Bird. India has given birth to religions such as Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism. One can find many multiple foreign religions that are flourishing in the country like Islam, Christianity and Zoroastrianism. Each religion has an influence in shaping the culture and architecture of the country, for example, Goa has a Portuguese culture with churches all across the city. Similarly, there are many towns in the state of Uttar Pradesh that boast of an Islamic influence.

The Sun temple, the Khajuraho temples and many more are all the ancient Hinduism imprints of the country. With this large diversity in religion, India celebrates numerous festivals each year like Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas, Guru Nanak Birthday, etc. Each festival celebrated by different religions paints the entire country in its bright shades of colours. India’s constitution recognizes twenty-two languages. These languages further have sub-languages. The state recognizes Hindi as the official language of the country to bind the prolific linguistic diversity into one.

India is also proud of its geographical diversity. Where a northern state like Jammu and Kashmir is all Himalayan mountainous regions, the state of Rajasthan is all desert regions. The states of Kerala and Goa are coastal areas and Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and many other states are all plains.

Racial diversity is another feather in India’s cap. We all know about the Indo-Aryan race migration but besides that, we have the Mongoloid race in the Northeast, the Dravidian race in the South and a fraction of Iranian race too as India is home to a considerable population of Zoroastrians.

India is also a land of diverse climatic conditions. The four seasons of summer, autumn, winter, and spring prevail throughout the year in most parts of the country. Places like Cherrapunji and Mawsynram receive maximum rainfall throughout the year. Then we have the Himalayan region in the north of the country, which serves as a border as well as a natural barrier to the bitterly cold Siberian winds. The coastal areas like Mumbai, Daman and Diu and Kolkata have tropical warm climates throughout.

The Indian Ocean on the South, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the Eastbound mainland of India. The country is bordered by Pakistan to the west, Bhutan, the People’s Republic of China and Nepal to the North, and Bangladesh and Burma to the East.

Diversity can also be observed in food habits and clothing. We have many cuisines like North Indian cuisine, Mughlai cuisine, South Indian cuisine, etc. Gujarati food is vegetarian whereas Bengali food mainly comprises of fish curries. People hailing from North India eat mainly wheat and those in the South are rice-consuming people.

Besides all this variation, all Indians sing the same National Anthem, rejoicing together when the country wins a cricket match. Even the history of Independence has proved that people of all different cultures and religions participated in the country’s freedom struggle.

This unity in diversity is the hallmark of India’s uniqueness. The very fact that India absorbs all this variation into itself is very mesmerizing.

FAQs on Incredible India Essay

1. Why is India known as the land of unity of diversity?

National integration alone, especially in these days of extremism and terrorism, may be the cornerstone of a strong, united, and successful India in India. Mahatma Gandhi sacrificed his life for the sake of communal peace. In our country, however, there are Bengalis, Gujaratis, Punjabis, Maharashtrians, Tamilians, and others. The reality is that humans have coexisted for thousands of years, regardless of divisions and distinctions, caste or creed.

In terms of customs, theology, and rituals, there are distinctions between the Hindu and Muslim groups. However, they have been born and raised in the same motherland for millennia. They share a home and have a great deal of respect for one another. On Muslim celebrations such as Eid, Muharram, and others, Hindus extend greetings to their Muslim friends. On the occasion of Hindu festivals such as Diwali, Durga Puja, and others, Muslims likewise pray for good luck.

This helps to explain India's growing solidarity between Hindus and Muslims. They affect one another on numerous issues and are influenced by oriental civilization's ideals. India is a massive nation. Climate changes occur in different parts of the world. One state's spoken language differs significantly from that of another. They dress in a variety of outfits. They participate in a variety of religious rites and celebrations. Different religious traditions are practiced by people from various cultures. Despite their differences, Indians have a sense of belonging and solidarity. As a result, we might conclude that India is a land of diversity and unity.

2. How is the slogan, “Atithi Devo Bhava”  used with regard to tourism in India?

The concept of Atithi Devo Bhava - Guest is God dates back to ancient times when guests or visitors would pay unannounced visits to their friends, family, or neighbors.

As there were no technologically quick means of communication available at the time, the visits were unannounced. As a result, the philosophy of 'Atithi Devo Bhava,' or 'Guest is God,' has been welcomed by the unplanned appearance of guests.

'The Guest is God,' says the expression Atithi Devo Bhava. This word and its meaning have been a part of Indian culture since ancient times, and it continues to serve as the country's motto for promoting tourism today.

Atithi Devo Bhava is an Indian term derived from Sanskrit literature. In Indian culture and Buddhism, this phrase has a very superior home. 'Atithi' literally means "without a calendar," "Devo" means "God," and "Bhava" literally means "to be or to be."

The persistent focus on this theme in many religious allusions has elevated the concept of 'Guest is God' well beyond tourism. India's inhabitants go to great lengths to strengthen and blossom the host-guest relationship.

They attempt to treat their visitors with the utmost significance, respect, and care by providing them with a variety of resources that they can afford, regardless of their financial situation. The world witnesses a lot of examples of 'Atithi Satkar,' which means to welcome the guest with the utmost respect and importance.

3. Explain the geographical diversity of India

India is a big country with a significant diversity of physical features such as dry deserts, evergreen forests, high Himalayas, a lengthy coast, and fertile plains, spanning an area of 3,287,263 square kilometers. Certain portions of India are so fertile that they are considered among the world's most fertile regions, while others are so barren and unproductive that little can be cultivated there.

The Indo-Gangetic valley region falls into the first group, while some parts of Rajasthan fall into the second. There is a stark contrast in climate; India has a wide range of climates, ranging from the scorching heat of the plains, which may be as hot as the hottest parts of Africa, to the frigid temperatures of the Himalayas, which can be as cold as the Arctic.

The Himalayan hills, which are permanently covered in snow, are extremely cold, whereas Rajasthan's deserts are noted for their heat. As India is reliant on the monsoons, rainfall varies across the country. While regions like Mawsynram and Cherrapunji in Meghalaya, which are regarded to have the highest quantity of rainfall in the world, receive rainfall virtually all year, places like Sindh and Rajasthan receive very little rainfall.

This climatic variance has also contributed to India's diverse flora and wildlife. In reality, India has the world's most diverse collection of flora and animals. The unusual demographics also support a unique ecosystem rich in greenery, fauna, rare herbs, and a diverse range of birds.

4. Explain the cultural diversity of India

Indian culture is one of the world's oldest and most distinctive. In India, there is incredible cultural diversity all around the country. The South, the North, and the Northeast all boast of different cultures, and practically every state has carved out a cultural niche for itself. There is no other culture on the planet that is as diverse and unique as India's.

With its ancient and diverse culture, stunning contrasts, and breathtaking natural beauty, India, a land of endless variation, is fascinating. India is the best site on the planet to witness a variety of cultures, from current to ancient, and to uncover commonalities among them.

5. Explain the linguistic diversity of India

There is a lot of linguistic diversity in India. There were 1652 languages and dialects listed in the 1961 census. In India, there are 58 different languages taught in schools. The number of languages is substantially higher, with 122 languages belonging to five families: Indo-European, Dravidian, Austro-Asiatic, Tibeto-Burmese, and Semito-Hamitic, according to the 2001 Census. Newspapers are published in 87 languages, radio programs are broadcast in 71 languages, and films are produced in 15 languages. The situation was complicated in terms of the number of languages spoken in the country, but there was a consistent pattern in terms of the hierarchy of languages among different communities that prevented India from becoming a "virtual Tower of Babel."  Visit the Vedantu app and website for more information.

new india essay in english 1000 words pdf download

1000-word essays aren’t hard. A student can write one in a day.

All it takes is a solid topic and some planning. Cook up three sources, organize them in a 5-paragraph format, and you’re good to go! But writing a 1000-word essay that’s interesting and meaningful may take more than that. Formatting requirements (MLA) and punctuation-loving professors can make toughen things up.

In our blog, we will explore how to write a 1000-word essay. After covering a few engaging and relevant topics, we’ll jump right into the essay structure. Make sure to stick around for helpful tips at the end. As always, EssayPro — essay service — is here if you need any extra help. Happy writing!

What if I Can't Come up With 1000 words?

The best tip that will shed light in the dark is writing in a non-stop regime. Just start writing without thinking about any word limit. Of course, it seems much more time-consuming and complicated. Nevertheless, this technique will let you understand and determine any gaps in your writing and then fix them in the shorter version of your draft.

Don’t panic if it ends up more than 2000+ words or more. Once you are done with the writing, read it several times, and highlight parts that you believe are worth attention. Then exclude all parts of the text that you think are unnecessary. Next step will be combining, polishing up and connecting them together. Include transitions between paragraphs to make sure that everything flows smoothly.

Useful Tips for Editing and Productivity

How to Write a 1000 Word Essay

The most important parts of writing an essay are organizing and editing. Writing is barely half of the work. We want to share some pro tips to save time writing and make your essay genuinely outstanding.

  • Write an Outline first: Most of the time, a 1000-word essay is an in-class assignment. Scribble an outline on a separate sheet of paper to keep you focused when writing. Essay outlines aren’t made for your professor, and they’re made for you. Without an outline, you cannot see the logical structure of your essay and the progression of your arguments.
  • Write an Introduction last: Starting an essay can be frustratingly hard, and most writers know this. A general rule of thumb is to write the introduction last. An essay introduction sets the tone and introduces the writer’s main arguments. After writing the whole chunk of your paper, you’ll know all your main points and the tone of your writing. Therefore it is best to leave it for last.
  • Proofread Twice before submitting: If your 1000-word essay is an in-class assignment, proofread it. Grammar and logic errors won’t be tolerated by your tutor, besides it will only take a minute. Rewriting the whole paper in class is impossible. Therefore proofreading is the only quality-check you get. If your essay is not an in-class assignment, you have many more opportunities to make it good by proofreading.
  • Use Apps for Proofreading: If your 1000-word essay is a homework assignment, proofread it with apps like Hemingway or Grammarly. They will find errors which you may have easily missed. Additionally, if you wish to upgrade your word choice, use sites like Dictionary.com and Thesaurus for synonyms and words with similar meaning.
  • Ask a Friend or EssayPro for Help: Never be shy to ask a friend or us to read your essay and tell you if it makes sense. EssayPro is service that provides you help with dissertation and it can come in handy if you need help with any type of paper works. Essay on Digital India in Hindi 600 शब्दों में

The Swachh Bharat community continues to increase the number of volunteers who complete Swachh Bharat Abhiyan missions at each location. All these activities aim to connect as many people as possible with the mission and create a mass movement to realize Gandhiji’s clean India dream by 2019.

Clean India-Green India

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan not only cleans the surroundings but also seeks to plant trees, create a dust-free environment, provide sanitary facilities, and ultimately involve people on the road to Swachh Bharat.

Clean India is most important to promote the country as an ideal destination for tourists all over the world. A dirty Indian image is often an embarrassing problem for Indians.

Therefore, this is the right time and opportunity to join Swachh Bharat. This campaign not only helps citizens gain clean habits but also raises our image as a citizen and is a commitment to cleanliness.

Structure of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

The Clean India Mission campaign comprises two sub-campaigns, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Rural) and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan ( Urb a n ). Where ‘Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation’ and ‘Ministry of Rural Development’ connect for rural areas, the Urban Development Ministry handles cities.

Twelve crore toilets are to be constructed across the country by October 2, 2019, with the cost of individual toilets set at Rs 12000.

Make it Happen

Commitment to speed up better handling of solid and liquid wastes. Particular emphasis should be laid on the construction of toilets and their use.

It is heading and overseeing by the Prime Minister himself, so this mission is one of the national priorities. The Prime Minister launched the ‘Swachh Bharat Kosh’ to facilitate contribution and receipt of CSR funds.

Some villages have also declared their cleanliness day and responsibility of changing behavior has been taking by the youth, teachers, and women. The participation of every person and organization in the Swachh Bharat Mission is taking the form of a mass movement.

Importance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is proving to help increase the level of the girl’s education in the country due to the availability of toilets. Despite being a ‘state subject’ of cleanliness, the federal structure is being strengthened by this program prepared and conducted by the central government.

The significant effort to eradicate ‘manual scavenging’ on this head is proving to be a milestone. This campaign has been changing the habit of open defecation and making cleanliness a part of lifestyle for citizens. The goal of construction 12 crore toilets has proved to be a significant employment opportunity in the manufacturing sector.

By linking this scheme with MANREGA, the dilapidated condition of the MANREGA program has also been improving. The area of the Rural Sanitary Mart (RSM) has expanded.

Sulabh toilets currently employed over 50,000 people. This can become significant employment. The market for sanitary pads (related to women, children) may also be more comprehensive.

Challenges in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Sanitation facilities are not a ‘felt need’ for a large section of the Indian public. In some rural areas , the lack of proper acceptance of toilets construction is challenging.

Effective Solution of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Awareness is an effective way to participate. Therefore, the campaign to make people fully aware of the benefits should be made available to them.

It should provide free toilets for Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. With the help of the enlightened, famous people of the society, in local language-culture has to carve and promote ‘cleanliness culture’ among the people.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Essay in English 1000 words

  • “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is not just about cleaning our streets and surroundings, but it’s a movement towards a cleaner and healthier nation.”

Introduction

During his time before India’s independence, Mahatma Gandhi said, “Sanitation is more important than Independence.” Our Bapu, Mahatma Gandhi, was particularly concerned in eradicating, alongside the British, all the dirt and pollutants that afflicted our nation and its people. Our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, started Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, also known as Clean India Mission, on October 2nd, 2014, to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi’s ideal of a “Clean India.”

When did Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launch?

Former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee stated in a speech to Parliament in June 2014, “A Swachh Bharat Mission will be launched to ensure hygiene, waste management, and sanitation across the nation.” This would be our tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary, which will be honored in 2019.” On the 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi (2nd October 2014), Prime Minister Narendra Modi formally launched the campaign at Rajghat in New Delhi in order to accomplish Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of making India an ideal country in the world. Three million government employees and students from around India took part in 4,043 cities, towns, and rural villages. The campaign has been planned for five years, with the goal of completing the recommended plans by October 2nd, 2019, which marks Gandhiji’s 150th birthday. PM Modi launched the mission by sweeping Rajghat Road in New Delhi.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

What is the Objective of the Swachh Bharat Campaign

India, a country of 140 million people, has a major problem with the management of waste. Irresponsible people discard their household waste on the roadways, which leads to dirt and grime and, in turn, a variety of diseases. Thousands of people are affected by malignant diseases caused by poor sanitation and hygiene. The Swachh Bharat Yojana was introduced by the Indian government to address these issues.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan seeks to make India included on the list of “clean countries”.The primary goal of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is to eliminate the harmful practice of open defecation and provide basic sanitation amenities such as toilets, solid-liquid waste disposal systems, and clean drinking water. The Swachh Bharat Mission was established with the primary objectives of creating a nation with an abundance of sanitation facilities and eradicating all unhealthy habits in daily routines. Every Indian village and city must be made clean as part of this mission. Which toilet layout is also featured in every home.

One of the goals of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is to make residents aware of their primary responsibility to preserve cleanliness and prevent pollution from spreading throughout the country.

Initiatives taken under the Swachh Bharat Campaign

The Government of India has taken numerous initiatives to guarantee the successful execution of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Some of the major initiatives under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan are

  • Individuals, organizations, and states that actively participate in the program have received financial assistance and incentives.
  • It seeks to encompass about 4041 statutory towns and cities across the country in order to provide cleaner streets, roads, communities, and public infrastructure.
  • More than 1 crore toilets were built in India’s metropolitan regions as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, while 11 crore 11 lakh toilets were built in rural to avoid open defecation.
  • Aside from that, Community toilets are being developed for residential areas where individual household toilets are scarce, as well as public restrooms at specified locations such as bus terminals, tourist attractions, railway stations, marketplaces, and so on.
  • The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan relies heavily on public participation. Citizens, schools, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and corporate entities have all actively participated in the campaign through cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, and sanitation facility improvement activities.
  • People from many walks of life have made the Swachh Bharat vow to keep their surroundings clean and to actively contribute to keeping India clean.
  • People have also been made aware of the need for cleanliness. People must refrain from open defecation and from throwing waste anywhere. In the countryside and towns, sanitation facilities are constantly being built. Garbage vans were established to tackle the problem of rubbish in metropolitan areas, allowing garbage to be removed from one location to another.
  • Swachh Bharat Kosh and Swachh Survekshan are two projects that have been developed to mobilize resources, raise awareness, and assess the cleanliness of cities and villages. The Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) was founded as the nodal body in charge of organizing and implementing the Swachh Bharat Mission.
  • The F nine people Salman Khan, Anil Ambani, Kamal Hassan, comedian Kapil Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Baba Ramdev, Sachin Tendulkar, Shashi Tharoor, and a team from ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (a popular TV show) were  nominated by the Prime Minister to launch and promote the Swachh Bharat campaign. Later, several important figures and celebrities joined this campaign as National Brand Ambassadors to participate and support the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Benefits of the Swachh Bharat Mission

Since the campaign’s beginning, there have been significant positive effects on healthcare, tourism, jobs, the environment, and the economy.

  • Clean India drew a large number of tourists from all over the world. The tourism industry alone accounts for around 6.6% of total Indian GDP. There is an increase in employment sources.
  • To ensure the hygiene of Uttar Pradesh’s government buildings, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh outlawed the chewing of paan, gutka, and other tobacco products totally.
  • Insufficient and poor health was exacerbated by insufficient hygiene and cleanliness. People’s health improved as a result of this cleanliness campaign, and death rates have decreased since then. Annually. Because of improved health, each household saves Rs. 6,500.
  • To sustain and make this effort successful, the Finance Ministry of India has launched a program called Swachh Bharat cess, under which everyone in India must pay a 0.5% tax on all services (i.e., 50 paise every 100 rupees), which would support the cleanliness campaign.
  • Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen also yielded significant results, with over 10 crore home toilets constructed. In addition, about 6 million communities have been designated as ODF. As of October 2, 2019, household toilet coverage had reached 100%, up from 38.70% in 2014.

As we have all heard the famous phrase, “Cleanliness is Next to Godliness,” we can confidently state that the Clean India Campaign (Swachh Bharat Abhiyan) would bring godliness all throughout the country for years if the people of India adhere to it properly.

Today, India has taken strides toward cleanliness through this effort, but the objective of cleanliness remains a long way off. Achieving the aim of a clean India can never be feasible unless we work together to clean our surroundings and prevent others from making them dirty. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has sparked a nationwide cleaning movement, demonstrating citizens’ common duty to create a cleaner and healthier India.

“A clean environment leads to a healthy life. Let’s join hands and clean our nation.”

new india essay in english 1000 words pdf download

India’s space agency, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), continues to carve its path in space exploration with the eagerly anticipated Chandrayaan-3 mission. Following the successful Chandrayaan-2, this lunar endeavor represents India’s unwavering commitment to scientific discovery and technological innovation.

Chandrayaan-3 has three key objectives. Firstly, it aims to explore the lunar south pole, a region of immense scientific interest. In this area, scientists believe water ice may exist in permanently shadowed regions, which could revolutionize our understanding of the Moon and provide vital resources for future lunar missions. Secondly, the mission intends to conduct comprehensive scientific research, analyzing soil composition, mapping mineral resources, studying geological formations and investigating the lunar exosphere. These studies offer insights into the Moon’s history and its role in the solar system’s formation. Lastly, Chandrayaan-3 seeks to demonstrate India’s technological prowess by addressing past mission challenges and showcasing advancements in landing precision, rover mobility and remote scientific instruments.

The mission features a cutting-edge lunar lander equipped with advanced navigation systems, aiming for a controlled and precise landing on the Moon’s challenging terrain. Accompanying the lander is a sophisticated rover, designed to traverse the lunar surface, collect data and samples and conduct experiments. This rover’s mobility and analytical capabilities are essential for deep lunar exploration.

Chandrayaan-3’s investigations are poised to offer groundbreaking insights. The discovery of water ice on the Moon’s south pole would significantly impact future space exploration, providing resources for lunar habitats and fuel production. Furthermore, the mission’s analysis of rock formations, soil composition and lunar geological history can extend our understanding of planetary formation processes, offering insights not only into the Moon but also into Earth and other celestial bodies.

Precision landing remains one of the most formidable challenges in lunar missions. Chandrayaan-3 addresses this with advancements in landing algorithms, sensors and propulsion technology. Enhanced mobility enables the rover to explore a wider range of geological features, maximizing its scientific potential.

Space exploration is rife with complexities, and Chandrayaan-3 builds on lessons learned from previous missions to mitigate risks. The setbacks encountered during Chandrayaan-2’s landing attempt exemplify the unpredictable nature of space missions. However, ISRO’s resilience, adaptability, and commitment to persevering in the pursuit of scientific knowledge have been unwavering.

Chandrayaan-3’s mission extends beyond national borders. Collaborating with international space agencies fosters scientific cooperation and enriches our collective understanding of the Moon and the broader solar system.

Conclusion: Chandrayaan-3 exemplifies India’s dedication to scientific discovery and technological innovation in space exploration. As it embarks on its journey to the Moon’s south pole, this mission symbolizes the indomitable spirit of exploration, collaboration and scientific curiosity that drives humanity’s quest to unlock the mysteries of the cosmos. Chandrayaan-3 is not just an Indian mission; It’s a global endeavor, and it holds the promise of expanding our knowledge of the Moon, shaping the future of lunar exploration and contributing to the broader body of space science.

India’s space agency, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), has been at the forefront of space exploration, consistently striving to push boundaries and advance scientific knowledge. One of its most ambitious missions, Chandrayaan-3, represents the country’s commitment to lunar exploration and technological innovation. Building upon the successes of its predecessors, Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2, this mission aims to further unravel the mysteries of the Moon and demonstrate India’s prowess in space technology.

Chandrayaan-3 is the third lunar exploration mission by India and is designed to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors while addressing the shortcomings and challenges faced during previous attempts. The mission is set to include a lunar lander and a rover, with the primary goal of conducting in-depth scientific studies of the Moon’s surface and its mineral composition. The mission also aims to build on the technological advancements made in previous missions, incorporating lessons learned to enhance the chances of a successful landing.

One of the key objectives of Chandrayaan-3 is to examine the Moon’s south pole region, an area of great interest to scientists due to its potential water ice deposits and unique geological features. These ice deposits could hold crucial clues about the Moon’s history and the broader understanding of planetary formation. By analyzing these resources, scientists hope to gain insights into the early evolution of the solar system and possibly even discover more about the potential for future human settlements on the Moon.

In terms of technological innovation, Chandrayaan-3 represents India’s dedication to developing cutting-edge space technologies. The mission involves intricate engineering challenges, including achieving a precise soft landing on the lunar surface, deploying a functional rover and conducting complex scientific experiments remotely. These challenges require advancements in navigation systems, propulsion technology, and remote sensing capabilities. Success in these areas not only advances India’s capabilities but also contributes to the global space community.

However, it’s important to note that space exploration is not without its risks and challenges. Chandrayaan-2, for instance, encountered difficulties during its landing attempt, underscoring the complexity and uncertainties inherent in such missions. These setbacks serve as reminders of the unpredictable nature of space exploration and the need for continuous learning and improvement.

In conclusion, Chandrayaan-3 represents a significant step forward for India’s space program and its ambitions in lunar exploration. By building upon the successes and challenges of previous missions, India aims to expand its scientific knowledge, advance technological capabilities, and contribute to the global understanding of the Moon’s history and potential. As Chandrayaan-3 embarks on its journey, it symbolizes India’s determination to explore new frontiers and inspire future generations of scientists, engineers, and space enthusiasts.

Chandrayaan-3: India’s Leap into Lunar Exploration

India’s space agency, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), is gearing up for its next lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3, following the successes of Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2. This upcoming mission exemplifies India’s commitment to space exploration and its determination to unlock the Moon’s mysteries.

Chandrayaan-3 has three primary objectives. Firstly, it aims to explore the lunar south pole, a region of immense scientific interest. Scientists believe that this region may contain water ice in permanently shadowed areas. The discovery of water on the Moon would have profound implications, potentially providing resources for future space missions and advancing our understanding of lunar history.

Secondly, the mission is designed to conduct in-depth scientific research. It will analyze the Moon’s soil composition, map mineral resources, study geological formations, and investigate the lunar exosphere. These studies contribute not only to lunar science but also to planetary science as a whole, shedding light on the processes that have shaped celestial bodies.

Thirdly, Chandrayaan-3 seeks to showcase India’s technological prowess. It addresses challenges faced in previous missions by enhancing landing precision, rover mobility and remote scientific instruments. By demonstrating these advancements, India solidifies its place in the global space community as a capable and innovative player.

The mission features a cutting-edge lunar lander with advanced navigation systems, aiming for a controlled and precise landing on the Moon’s rugged terrain. Accompanying the lander is a sophisticated rover, designed to traverse the lunar surface, collect data and samples, and conduct experiments. This rover’s mobility and analytical capabilities are crucial for deep lunar exploration.

Chandrayaan-3 is poised to offer groundbreaking insights. The potential discovery of water ice on the Moon could reshape our approach to future lunar missions. Furthermore, its scientific investigations have the potential to extend our understanding of planetary formation processes, not limited to the Moon but applicable to Earth and other celestial bodies.

Space exploration is fraught with complexities, as demonstrated by setbacks during previous missions. However, ISRO’s resilience, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to scientific knowledge persist. Chandrayaan-3 is not just India’s mission; it’s a global endeavour, contributing to the broader body of space science and fostering international collaboration.

In conclusion, Chandrayaan-3 embodies India’s dedication to scientific discovery, technological innovation, and international cooperation in space exploration. As it embarks on its journey to the Moon’s south pole, this mission symbolizes humanity’s enduring spirit of exploration and curiosity, striving to unravel the mysteries of the cosmos.

Chandrayaan-3 is India’s ambitious lunar mission, following in the footsteps of its predecessors, Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2. This mission represents a significant step in India’s space exploration endeavors, as it aims to build upon the knowledge and experience gained from previous lunar missions.

Chandrayaan-3’s primary objective is to land on the Moon’s surface, an achievement that eluded its predecessor, Chandrayaan-2, due to a last-minute glitch during the lander’s descent. To achieve this, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has been meticulously working on enhancing the mission’s technology and addressing the issues faced by Chandrayaan-2. The third mission is expected to consist of a lander, a rover, and an orbiter, with upgraded and improved systems.

The significance of Chandrayaan-3 extends beyond scientific curiosity. It holds the promise of contributing to our understanding of the Moon’s geology, water ice deposits, and the evolution of Earth’s closest celestial neighbor. It can also pave the way for future lunar exploration missions and international collaborations.

India’s space program has made remarkable strides, and Chandrayaan-3 reflects the nation’s commitment to advancing its capabilities in space exploration. As the mission progresses, it symbolizes the aspirations of a country aiming for greater heights in the realm of space science, technology, and international cooperation. Chandrayaan-3 represents another chapter in India’s journey to unlock the secrets of the cosmos and reaffirms the nation’s role in the global space community.
