Introduction to Health and Hygiene

The term "Health" refers to the body's natural and healthy state. It is a wonderful source of calm and joy. A healthy state of mind and a physically fit body are considered to be free of disorder, illness, or disease. Health refers to a person's physical, emotional, and psychological well-being in basic terms. Cleanliness, adequate wastewater disposal, and safe drinking water supply are all examples of hygiene practices that help to avoid disease and promote good health. It encompasses all activities aimed at enhancing, preserving, and maintaining excellent health.

Health and Hygiene

Health is a positive state of being in which all components of the body and mind are in proper balance and harmony with one another. As a result, all of the body's organs are in good working order. It is well believed that only those people may be considered healthy if they have a healthy mind and a healthy body. For a healthy and happy existence, health and cleanliness are essential. In terms of community hygiene, health education is critical. To avoid disease and have a positive attitude about health, you must have accurate and comprehensive health knowledge.

Hygiene is another word for sanitation and cleanliness. Great personal hygiene is essential for health reasons. One must practice good hygiene. We must cover our mouth while sneezing and immediately wash our hands to prevent the germs from spreading. This shows our consciousness about health through hygiene. Keeping a decent standard of cleanliness prevents the spread of disease. Social awareness must be spread amongst the civilians so that they would realize the importance of hygiene.

What Exactly is Health?

Health is a quality of life that enables you to live a longer life. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as "a condition of complete physical, mental, spiritual, and communal well-being, rather than only the absence of illness."A person is not regarded as healthy if he is free of sickness or in good bodily shape but is stressed, tense, angry, greedy, or in any other way.

Aspects of Health

Let's look at the health concerns for a moment.

Physical well-being

Mental well-being:

Emotional wellness

The well-being of the community

Spiritual well-being

Hygiene is the science and art of maintaining and improving one's physical and mental well-being. Hygiene enables people to have a healthy interaction with their surroundings. It is applicable to both individuals and communities. Recognize the importance of hygiene and sanitation in maintaining good health.

Our hands keep touching so many surfaces such as handrails, smartphones, steering wheels while driving, etc. Hands are the part of the body that spreads germs the most easily. It takes less than a minute to wash our hands; still, many people refrain from doing this. Good hand hygiene is proven beneficial in preventing the spread of diseases amongst society and family. As per the World Health Organization (WHO), washing hands with soap and water is sufficient to prevent the spread of certain diseases by almost 50%. The next important part of the body that needs proper hygiene is the eye. We are all aware that the eyes are the most delicate part of the body. So taking care of it is not only essential but a necessity. We are surrounded by thousands of electronic things which have a bad impact on the eyes. Keeping the eyes clean must be a frequent task in our daily routine.

While playing in the school, kids must take care of their belongings, such as their water bottles. It is important to keep such things in a clean place. Keeping the bottle here and there and then drinking from the same water bottle is harmful to health. Parents and teachers play a vital role in creating awareness about hygiene in kids.

Hygiene is like a preventive measure that keeps us away from diseases and various other health ailments. No matter how much you care about cleanliness, if the potable water itself is not clean, then it is of no use. Water needs to be not only clean but also healthy. Water is used throughout the day, from drinking, cooking to cleanliness activities. Hence, it is important to use clean water.

Civilians must be made aware of how to maintain hygiene in public places like hospitals. Hospitals are generally crowded with patients and it is obvious that the place will be a hotspot of bacteria and viruses. Hence, it is important to use hand sanitisers and maintain a safe distance from visibly sick people. The next critical step towards a healthy life is oral hygiene—proper oral hygiene wards off gum diseases, bad breath and many infections. Understanding the importance of hygiene will make it easier to eradicate the disease from the world.

How Do You Keep Your Hygiene?

The only thing that helps a person feel healthy is good hygiene. Otherwise, bacteria developing in the dirt generate a slew of ailments, and our health suffers as a result.

When we are surrounded by cleanliness, it makes us feel happy and motivates us to complete our tasks. If there is dirt surrounding us, no matter how focused we attempt to work, we will not be able to complete the task successfully. Our health will decline as well.

Hygiene is Crucial!

It helps to lessen the need for medical assistance: we are all susceptible to a variety of ailments around the world. Diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, cancer, gastrointestinal problems, asthma, and lung disorders affect a large portion of the world's population. Some of these diseases are deadly, and there is no treatment that can save a person's life. There are extremely few sicknesses in a sanitary living individual. This person will not require medication to remain healthy. It protects against numerous germs and viruses by preserving personal cleanliness.

Health is more valuable than money, and everyone's health is paramount. It has a strong link to hygiene and health. There will be good health when there is cleanliness. Our health is heavily influenced by our surroundings.

It is health that is the real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver. – Mahatma Gandhi

Health is the mental as well as physical well being of an individual. It is a state in which the person is free from any injury or illness. It also means being socially and spiritually sound and well. Hygiene is a practice carried out to preserve health and prevent diseases. It is dominantly done through the habit of cleanliness .

Characteristics of a Healthy and Hygienic Person

A physically healthy person will always be fit. He or she will neither be too thin nor too fat. One has to keep a balanced and appropriate weight because being obese can lead to several fatal diseases like cancer and diabetes . Obese people are also more prone to the risk of heart attacks. A hygienic person will always wash his or her hands regularly. Washing hands is necessary before and after meals, after coming back home from outside, after playing in the park, etc. This is because various germs get onto our hands and our nails.

Hence it becomes crucial to get rid of them, or they may cause illnesses like stomach aches, diarrhoea, etc. A mentally healthy person is always contented and self-satisfied. He or she is calm, composed and understanding. A mentally well individual has determination and self-respect. He or she continually adjusts with other people and doesn’t believe in complaining. Another trait of a healthy person is stable and regular breathing. The average breath rate is 14 to 20 breaths per minute.

If the breathing of a person is irregular, heavy or unsteady, then that person may be unhealthy and may be suffering from some illness. A hygienic person will always have the basic courtesy to cover their mouth and nose or turn away from other people while coughing or sneezing. Wearing a mask while one is ill can also be a good practice. If this is not done, then the germ droplets can fall on other people’s face, hands or body and thus cause them to fall ill as well.

Factors Leading to ill Health

Certain diseases are known to be hereditary and can cause a negative effect on a person’s health. Genetic diseases include diabetes, schizophrenia, baldness, etc. There are always ways which a person can adopt not to fall victim to these hereditary illnesses. For example, a person who has a family history of diabetes can make changes in one’s lifestyle and cut down his or her fat and sugar intake.

Social factors can also contribute majorly to a person’s health. It can lead to betterment as well as the development of ill health. Worries, anxieties, broken marriages, stress, etc. all lead to ill health. If a person is not satisfied with his or her employment or if the neighbourhood that he or she lives in is not safe, then this can lead to deterioration of the person’s mental as well as physical health.

A person indulged in alcohol, smoking, drugs, weed and other narcotics becomes mentally unstable and physically ill. The reasons for them giving into the usage of these hazardous products can be numerous. It may be peer pressure, broken homes, loss of a near and dear one, getting fired from a job, etc. The intake of these products can lead to permanent damages which can often be fatal to a human body.

Practices to Follow for Good Health and Hygiene

Always follow good and regular oral hygiene. It is the duty of parents to instil healthy oral hygiene practices in their children. Brushing one’s teeth at least twice a day is necessary. Along with brushing, the habit of flossing and rinsing with mouthwash should also be inculcated. Rinsing should be done after the consumption of every meal so that there is no bacteria growth and tooth decay. Good oral hygiene can prevent a person from having bad breath, cavities, etc.

Taking a bath or a shower daily is vital to maintain a clean and hygienic body. Our skin is the largest part of our body, and it is essential to keep it free of germs and other bacteria. A bath helps one have clear skin and body and also gets rid of the old and dead skin cells, thus paving the way for the new ones to take their place. Essay on health hygiene

Essay on Health Hygiene 11 Models

Essay on health hygiene, Health and hygiene are two sides of the same coin, we will present you an essay on  health hygiene. We should all know that without hygiene there is no good health.

Unfortunately, many people do not know the importance of health. We will provide you with the following all the details that make the student  know the importance of hygiene and  how he can clean himself and the place around him.

We will provide several templates so that students can learn how to write an essay on health  and its relationship to hygiene.

Essay on health hygiene

If we look around, we will find that all the heavenly religions call humans to take care of hygiene of all kinds.

There is cleanliness related to the body, as we must clean our bodies on a daily or weekly basis. As for daily hygiene, it is caring for the teeth, as it is necessary to wash them and extract food residues from them.

We must comb the hair more than once a day. As for the face, we will not forget to clean it on a daily basis so that it does not have pimples and skin diseases.

What is the relationship between hygiene and health?

Hygiene and health are two sides of the same coin as they complement each other. When the body is clean, it appears beautiful and healthier.

We start with the teeth that we must clean every day in order to be shiny and not have injuries due to the gathering of mites on them. When the teeth are full of food residues, the mouth smells bad, and the teeth become infected with decay. In order to avoid going to the dentist, we must maintain good oral hygiene.

When a person washes his face and combs his hair after cleaning it with preparations suitable for the type of hair, he protects himself from skin diseases and from insects that live in the hair.

If a person neglects facial hygiene, he will develop painful blisters, which take a long time to treat and leave marks below them on the surface of the skin.

For unclean hair, the insects that live in it feed on blood, causing side effects such as hair loss.

Types of hygiene

There are several types of hygiene, all of which must be taken care of, in order to ensure the preservation of health.

Neglecting any kind of hygiene destroys health.

This neglect of a type of hygiene causes a person to waste his efforts on the rest of the types that he used to maintain cleanliness:

First: body hygiene.

Second: hair hygiene.

Third: keep your hands clean.

Fourth: cleanliness of food and drink.

Fifth: The cleanliness of the surrounding area.

How to clean the body

As for the parts that we must pay attention to cleaning on a weekly basis, they are the rest of the body, where the person who maintains his health showers a number of times that suits the nature of his work and the type of his skin.

If a person goes out to work on a daily basis and is exposed to dust due to the nature of work, he must shower every day after returning home. If he works in a clean place and does not go to work on a daily basis, he can shower 3 or 4 times a week.

As for those who have oily hair or oily skin, it is known that their bodies produce large amounts of fat, which makes them in an uncomfortable state. That is why they should pay more attention to hygiene than others. One of the things they must do is to wash their hair every day.

Those who have an oily body should bathe on a daily basis, so that fat does not accumulate and cause the spread of pimples and unpleasant odor.

Steps to teach children how to maintain cleanliness

In order to be able to teach a young child how to clean himself, we must start with him at an early age. When the child eats, the mother takes him to the bathroom to wash his hands.

Hand washing is the first thing we all learn. One of the benefits of washing hands is that we protect ourselves from pollution and the transmission of germs to the mouth and then to the abdomen.

There are two types of hand washing, including what is done immediately before eating, and its purpose is to remove dust and germs accumulated due to playing and touching dirty things. Another type of hand washing is washing after food to remove food residues that may attract harmful germs and bacteria.

The second stage that parents do in order to teach their children about hygiene is to teach them to brush their teeth and bathe.

Brushing teeth is one of the daily habits that a child must learn at a young age so that he can continue to do so throughout his life.

The benefit that accrues to a person when he brushes his teeth is that his health is better because of the lack of fermentation and rotting of food between his teeth.

As for a person who does not brush his teeth, he will be exposed to diseases due to bacteria and germs that feed on food residues.

At the end of this vital topic, we must all know that health hygiene is one of the most important behaviors that all people should learn. And that the best age to learn health hygiene is young age.

We must know that cleanliness is the main and direct cause of health. When you have a clean body and clean teeth, your health will be in the best condition.

Hygiene is not limited to body hygiene only, but the utensils we use in our food must be cleaned. And we have to clean up where we live, too.

Health and hygiene essay

The human body is exposed to a large number of pollutants that affect it negatively. In order to avoid these pollutants, we must know  the main things that cause a person to get sick.

The main reason a person gets sick is poor hygiene. There are many types of uncleanliness, including not washing hands, where hands are used to hold food, causing it to become contaminated. Therefore, hands must be washed before every meal.

One of the types of lack of hygiene is also lack of attention to the teeth and the accumulation of tartar on them and food between them. This food rots over time, attracting bacteria that feed on the rotting remains.

When a person eats a new food, he mixes the new food with the rotting remains, and this mixture is swallowed.

When this food enters the stomach, it causes various diseases in the digestive system.

10 lines on health and hygiene

Everyone knows that hygiene leads to a healthy body. When a person lives in an unclean place, he is susceptible to diseases.

One of the diseases that afflict people due to the lack of cleanliness of the place is skin diseases. These skin diseases change the shape of the skin and cause annoying itching. Sometimes it  may take a long time in treatment.

There are also respiratory diseases caused by living in a place filled with dust. Places that are not cleaned accumulate a large amount of germs and bacteria. And when a person tries to breathe, these germs enter with the air into the lungs. Thus, the person begins to cough and may develop a fever and go to the doctor. And if a person is lucky, he gets rid of this disease after a short period.

One of the unhealthy things that cause a person to get sick is that a person refrains from cleaning his body. It is a form of lack of body hygiene that a person neglects to shower. Not taking a shower causes dirt to accumulate on the body.

This dirt leads to the infection of the person with boils and the emergence of a bad smell of sweat. As for the hair, not washing it causes lice infestation, then the hairs will weaken and fall out.

Paragraph on health and hygiene

Personal hygiene is one of the most important things that we must all maintain. And it starts  by washing hands with running water and soap.

When a person persists in this healthy habit, his health becomes in the best condition.

After washing hands, the person must keep washing the hair on a weekly basis, in order to get rid of the accumulated fat and dust stuck in the middle of the hair.

And we will not forget to shower intensely in the summer to get rid of the sweat that causes a bad smell and the occurrence of infections in the skin.

In order to maintain healthy skin, you must wear clean clothes and choose fabrics that match the surrounding climate.

There are cotton fabrics suitable for summer and extreme heat.

There are also fabrics suitable for winter and very cold climates. That is why we must maintain cleanliness because it is the main reason for good health.

But if he does not regularly clean his body or neglects the cleanliness of his home, he will suffer from several diseases, including skin diseases and diseases of the digestive system.

Short essay on health and hygiene

When I was a little kid in nursery school, my mom used to teach me how to wash my hands. I’ve been dodging her and not going to the bathroom easily. But she insisted that I go and wash my hands.

One day I evaded her and went to school without washing my hands. And when it came time to eat, I refused to wash my hands in the nursery.

After I ate my food I started to feel pain in my stomach. At first I thought I needed to go to the bathroom, but after a while the pain intensified. I started screaming until the teacher came to help me.

I felt like I was going to pass out, so I was taken to the hospital. The doctor gave me some medicine and called my mom. When she came, he told her that I had gastroenteritis because of eating unclean food.

And then I remembered that the problem was not the contaminated food, but the problem that I ate the food without washing my hands, which caused the contamination to the abdomen.

Dental health starts with their cleanliness, and this is because they are used in chewing food, which makes them the most important organ in the human body. If the teeth are clean, the chewed food is healthy and not contaminated.

You can brush your teeth three times a day, especially in the evening. You can clean food residues using silk floss. All of these steps lead to the protection of teeth from decay, which greatly destroys the teeth.

And not only the teeth, but oral hygiene protects the stomach from unclean food due to lack of oral hygiene. That is why we find a person who takes care of his teeth, someone who is very healthy.

And also when a person cares about body hygiene by removing excess hair and showering sufficiently he protects himself from many diseases that occur due to lack of hygiene and the accumulation of dirt.

Among these diseases is what affects the skin, which is the most common and which takes a long time to treat. Including diseases that target the stomach, causing diarrhea and vomiting. Which is considered a serious disease because of its bad effect, which can lead to serious complications and may lead to death.

Essay on health and hygiene in 300 words

There is no sane person who does not know the direct relationship between hygiene and health. Cleanliness is the reason why a person is healthy or sick.

If a person pays attention to cleanliness in all aspects of his life, he will live in a healthy manner and do not know diseases.

But when a person neglects his cleanliness, whether in general or in some things that he may think are ineffective, this causes him to contract a large number of diseases.

There are several things about a person that must be kept clean. One of the most important of these things is to live in a clean environment that does not have polluted air, because polluted air destroys the lungs.

And he must be in a place with clean drinking water, because polluted water damages the kidneys and causes fatal intestinal diseases.

We will not forget the cleanliness of the house from dust and dirt, as the filthy house is filled with a large number of insects and reptiles that transmit diseases, the most dangerous of which are mice and cockroaches.

In addition to insects, there are organisms that cannot be seen with the naked eye, such as germs and bacteria, which are dangerous organisms and cause fatal diseases to humans who live with them in the same place.

As for the human body, it must receive great care to ensure that it is not exposed to any disease resulting from lack of hygiene.

The human body is divided into several parts, and each part has a specific way to clean it and protect it from attack by disease-causing organisms. The first part is the skin, which needs a routine and a great effort to be taken care of in a healthy way.

The first step to cleaning the skin is to remove excess hair and take a shower regularly.

Health and hygiene paragraph for class 7

The human body is divided into several parts, which makes taking care of it difficult, but not impossible. The body is made up of skin, hair, nails and teeth. These are the parts that should be cleaned regularly. But each part of it has a specific method of cleaning, and a person must be accustomed to it since childhood.

The first place that we clean on a daily basis is the teeth, where the remaining food between them must be cleaned and washed 3 times per day.

As for the hair, it should be shaved at least once a month for men. Hair should be washed about twice a week to keep it clean. It must be combed more than once a day in order to maintain its beautiful appearance and stimulate blood circulation in the head.

As for the skin, a person must bathe a number of times, up to twice a day in the summer, and up to 3 times a week in the winter.

And we will not forget the nails, as they should be cut once a week to ensure that bacteria and fungi do not collect under them, because they cause diseases of the digestive system.

Essay on health and hygiene in 100 words

Medical research has proven that good health can only be achieved in a clean environment. And when the environment is polluted, we find in it several diseases that are difficult to treat without preventing the surrounding pollution. And this is what happens in densely populated cities, where carbon dioxide diffuses into the air, leading to fatal respiratory diseases.

When the waters of the seas and rivers are polluted, the population suffers from serious diseases due to the ingress of carcinogenic substances to the kidneys and stomach.

And in places where garbage accumulates intensively, we find a huge infestation of cockroaches and mice. Cockroaches and mice transmit dangerous diseases to the population, including the plague, which is transmitted from mice to humans.

In the past, the world witnessed the death of millions due to diseases transmitted from animals such as plague and malaria, which were transmitted to humans through mosquitoes.

That is why we must all realize how important hygiene is, in order to maintain it and teach those around us how to maintain it so that we can live in a healthy way without suffering from disease or taking medication.

It is right to start by teaching young children how important cleanliness is, until they grow up accustomed to cleanliness, which will improve their lives later on.

Paragraph on importance of health and hygiene

Of course, hygiene and health are very important, as they are closely related to each other. But how can we know the importance of hygiene and health?

We must look around to know the importance of hygiene and health. When we wake up from sleep we must go to the bathroom, and this is in order to rid the body of the toxic substances remaining after the process of digesting food.

After that, we start brushing the teeth and bathing until the skin is in the best condition, and we rid the teeth of the remnants of rotten food.

The importance of hygiene in general and washing the skin and teeth in particular is to have a clean body in order to ensure good health for ourselves. Thus, we are less prone to skin diseases than people who refuse to shower.

Bathing may be with water only or with soap and water. It is best to use soap and water to eliminate the microorganisms that are attached to the surface of the skin without seeing them.

After we are assured of cleaning the teeth, we must clean the whole body by washing it well with soap and water, especially between the fingers and in the folds of the body.

Including general weakness and inability to walk, which requires intensive care by a doctor or in the hospital.

And when the child is at school, he must keep his hands clean from pollution, and he must wash his hands before eating the food that his mother gave him to eat at school. Most elementary school students get sick because they don’t wash their hands before eating.

Health and hygiene is a vital phenomenon for a healthy and happy life. Health education plays a vital role in community hygiene. To prevent disease and have a positive attitude towards health, you need a correct and complete knowledge about health.

We relate health to cleanliness, and cleanliness is one of the principal ways to defend infectious diseases and self-preservation. In this lesson, we will discuss the real importance of health and hygiene, so we can achieve the goal of good health through healthy habits and a healthy lifestyle.

We need to understand a few things about Health and Hygiene

  • Understand well the concept of health and hygiene.
  • Recognition of the importance of physical, mental, and spiritual health
  • Importance of hygiene.
  • Specify the need for personal, environmental, and hygienic hygiene.

What is health?

Health is a characteristic of life that allows you to live longer. According to the World Health Organization (WHO): Health is a state of complete physical, mental, spiritual, and communal well-being, not just a lack of disease.

If a person is free of disease or in good physical condition but under stress, tension, anger, greed, etc., he is not considered a healthy person.

Therefore, besides physical health, we must also consider mental and emotional health. It only can be achieved if spiritual and social health can be achieved, and can move towards the welfare of society.

Aspects of health

Let us understand the health aspects-

  • Physical health: when the body is free of physical diseases or abnormalities, it is physical health.
  • Mental health: It is a state with no stress, tension, worry, negative thoughts , etc. It is mental health.
  • Emotional health : a balanced state of lack of anger, greed, pride, hate, etc. This is emotional health.
  • Community health is the art and science of maintaining, protecting, and improving people’s health through organized community efforts.
  • Spiritual health : living within oneself with uniformity and harmony is spiritual health. Also, faith in their religion and respect the religion of another person with equal harmony is known as spiritual health.

What is Hygiene?

Hygiene is the science and art of preserving and improving health. Hygiene allows a person to live in a healthy relationship with the environment. It applies to the individual and the community. To be healthy, know that hygiene and sanitation play a significant role.

Health is more than any wealth, and for every person, his health is most important. It closely relates health and cleanliness. Where there will be cleanliness, there will be good health. Our environment has a high impact on our health.

If our environment is clean, then our health will be healthy, and if we pollute the environment , it will have adverse effects on our health. Hygine, whether it is body or home, has a very positive effect on health.

How to maintain hygiene?

Hygiene is the only thing that makes a person feel healthy. Otherwise, because of germs growing in the dirt, creates many diseases and our health gets spoiled.

If there is cleanliness around us, then it feels cheerful and encourages our mind to do every work. If there is dirt around us no matter how concentrated we try to work, even we can do that work in the best way it cannot finish well. Our health will also deteriorate.

As remembering the health and hygiene, the campaign of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has been launched by India Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi.  There is the responsibility of every person in the nation to make the environment hygienic.

Together we should take steps towards cleanliness and health. We should regularly clean our bodies, houses, and neighborhoods. We should eat fresh food.

We should not allow water to collect around us because mosquitoes and flies sit in it which contaminate the food and create many diseases. Our health depends on cleanliness. The more we keep cleanliness around us, the more we will be healthy.

Some say that health is invaluable wealth that lost, everything is lost, and it does not recover quickly in many severe diseases. Therefore, to keep ourself healthy, we need to take care of both cleanliness and health and take steps towards clean India and good health.

Why is hygiene important?

What do you think hygiene matters in our lives?  Hygiene is crucial to lead a healthy life.

Importance of hygiene

It helps reduce the need for medical help: in the world; we are all susceptible to many diseases. A lot of the world’s population suffers from diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, gastrointestinal problems, asthma, lung disorders,.

Some of these diseases are fatal so that no medication can save a life. A hygienic living person has very few diseases. This person will not need to depend on medication to stay healthy. By maintaining personal hygiene, it protects against many bacteria and viruses.

The healthy life saves financial loss against the disease. This helps build confidence: if you take proper care of your health and your surroundings, you can socialize with more confidence. Society enjoys only if a person keeps clean and healthy. No one prefers to mix with an unhygienic and sick person.

It helps raise the level of a joyful life: if a person follows the importance of personal hygiene and healthy life. This helps a better impression among others. Maintaining hygiene and healthy life facilitate the path to success. I hope you liked this informative article, Health and Hygiene Essay.

Health Is Wealth Essay for Students and Children

Growing up you might have heard the term ‘Health is Wealth’, but its essential meaning is still not clear to most people. Generally, people confuse good health with being free of any kind of illness. While it may be part of the case, it is not entirely what good health is all about. In other words, to lead a healthy life , a person must be fit and fine both physically and mentally. For instance, if you are constantly eating junk food yet you do not have any disease, it does not make you healthy. You are not consuming healthy food which naturally means you are not healthy, just surviving. Therefore, to actually live and not merely survive, you need to have the basic essentials that make up for a healthy lifestyle.

health is wealth essay

Introduction

Life is about striking a balance between certain fundamental parts of life. Health is one of these aspects. We value health in the same way that we value time once we have lost it. We cannot rewind time, but the good news is that we can regain health with some effort. A person in good physical and mental health may appreciate the world to the fullest and meet life’s problems with ease and comfort. Health is riches implies that health is a priceless asset rather than money or ownership of material possessions. There is no point in having money if you don’t have good health.

Key Elements Of A Healthy Lifestyle

If you wish to acquire a healthy lifestyle, you will certainly have to make some changes in your life. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle demands consistent habits and disciplined life. There are various good habits that you can adopt like exercising regularly which will maintain your physical fitness. It also affects your mental health as when your appearance enhances, your confidence will automatically get boosted.

To live a healthy life, one must make some lifestyle modifications. These modifications can include changes to your food habits, sleeping routines, and lifestyle. You should eat a well-balanced, nutrient-dense diet for your physical wellness.

Further, it will prevent obesity and help you burn out extra fat from your body. After that, a balanced diet is of great importance. When you intake appropriate amounts of nutrition, vitamins, proteins, calories and more, your immune system will strengthen. This will, in turn, help you fight off diseases powerfully resulting in a disease-free life.

Above all, cleanliness plays a significant role in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Your balanced diet and regular exercise will be completely useless if you live in an unhealthy environment. One must always maintain cleanliness in their surroundings so as to avoid the risk of catching communicable diseases.

Benefits Of A Healthy Lifestyle

As it is clear by now, good health is a luxury which everyone wants but some of them cannot afford. This point itself states the importance of a healthy lifestyle. When a person leads a healthy lifestyle, he/she will be free from the tension of seeking medical attention every now and then.

health and hygiene essay 150 words

On the contrary, if you have poor health, you will usually spend your time in a hospital and the bills will take away your mental peace. Therefore, a healthy lifestyle means you will be able to enjoy your life freely. Similarly, when you have a relaxed mind at all times, you will be able to keep your loved ones happy. A healthy individual is more likely to fulfil all of his goals because he can easily focus on them and has the energy to complete them. This is why the proverb “Health is Wealth” carries so much weight.

A socially healthy individual is one who is able to interact effectively and readily connect with others. Without his ego, he can easily blend with the person in front of him, exuding a nice feeling and energy.

Every human being should participate in sports and activities to get away from the monotony of daily life. It is because sports and games assist in instilling a sense of oneness in people, build leadership skills, and make a person absolutely disciplined.

Moreover, a healthy lifestyle will push you to do better in life and motivate you to achieve higher targets. It usually happens that people who are extremely wealthy in terms of money often lack good health. This just proves that all the riches in the world will do you no good if there is an absence of a healthy lifestyle.

In short, healthy life is the highest blessing that must not be taken for granted. It is truly the source of all happiness. Money may buy you all the luxuries in the world but it cannot buy you good health. You are solely responsible for that, so for your well-being and happiness, it is better to switch to a healthy lifestyle.

Good Health for Children

Childhood is an ideal period to inculcate healthy behaviours in children. Children’s health is determined by a variety of factors, including diet, hydration, sleep schedule, hygiene, family time, doctor visits, and physical exercise. Following are a few key points and health tips that parents should remember for their children:

  • Never allow your children to get by without nutritious food. Fruits and vegetables are essential.
  • Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, therefore teach them to frequently wash their hands and feet.
  • Sleep is essential for your child.
  • Make it a habit for them to drink plenty of water.
  • Encourage physical activity and sports.
  • Allow them enough time to sleep.
  • It is critical to visit the doctor on a regular basis for checks.

Parents frequently focus solely on their children’s physical requirements. They dress up their children’s wounds and injuries and provide them with good food. However, they frequently fail to detect their child’s deteriorating mental health. This is because they do not believe that mental health is important.

Land use/Cover Change in Russia within the context of global challenges. The paper presents the results of a research project on Land Use/Cover Change (LUCC) in Russia in relations with global problems (climate change, environment and biodiversity degradation). The research was carried out at the Faculty of Geography, Moscow State University on the basis of the combination of remote sensing and in-field data of different spatial and temporal resolution. The original methodology of present-day landscape interpretation for land cover change study has been used. In Russia the major driver of land use/land cover change is agriculture. About twenty years ago the reforms of Russian agriculture were started. Agricultural lands in many regions were dramatically impacted by changed management practices, resulted in accelerated erosion and reduced biodiversity. Between the natural factors that shape agriculture in Russia, climate is the most important one. The study of long-term and short-ter...

Land use and land cover change is a complex process, driven by both natural and anthropogenic transformations (Fig. 1). In Russia, the major driver of land use / land cover change is agriculture. It has taken centuries of farming to create the existing spatial distribution of agricultural lands. Modernization of Russian agriculture started fifteen years ago. It has brought little change in land cover, except in the regions with marginal agriculture, where many fields were abandoned. However, in some regions, agricultural lands were dramatically impacted by changed management practices, resulting in accelerating erosion and reduced biodiversity. In other regions, federal support and private investments in the agricultural sector, especially those made by major oil and financial companies, has resulted in a certain land recovery. Between the natural factors that shape the agriculture in Russia, climate is the most important one. In the North European and most of the Asian part of the ...

In recent decades, Russia has experienced substantial transformations in agricultural land tenure. Post-Soviet reforms have shaped land distribution patterns but the impacts of these on agricultural use of land remain under-investigated. On a regional scale, there is still a knowledge gap in terms of knowing to what extent the variations in the compositions of agricultural land funds may be explained by changes in the acreage of other land categories. Using a case analysis of 82 of Russia’s territories from 2010 to 2018, the authors attempted to study the structural variations by picturing the compositions of regional land funds and mapping agricultural land distributions based on ranking “land activity”. Correlation analysis of centered log-ratio transformed compositional data revealed that in agriculture-oriented regions, the proportion of cropland was depressed by agriculture-to-urban and agriculture-to-industry land loss. In urbanized territories, the compositions of agricultura...

Despite harsh climate, agriculture on the northern margins of Russia still remains the backbone of food security. Historically, in both regions studied in this article – the Republic of Karelia and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) – agricultural activities as dairy farming and even cropping were well adapted to local conditions including traditional activities such as horse breeding typical for Yakutia. Using three different sources of information – official statistics, expert interviews, and field observations – allowed us to draw a conclusion that there are both similarities and differences in agricultural development and land use of these two studied regions. The differences arise from agro-climate conditions, settlement history, specialization, and spatial pattern of economy. In both regions, farming is concentrated within the areas with most suitable natural conditions. Yet, even there, agricultural land use is shrinking, especially in Karelia. Both regions are prone to being af...
