Relatable AF Memes About Homework
By Kim Bongiorno
If you thought homework was a pain in the butt when you were a kid, just wait until your own kids are old enough to get assignments. Whether they’re the little kids’ coloring pages or the older kids’ humanities service projects, or—every parent’s worst nightmare—reading logs, homework makes after-school time the worst time of the day. There will be tears, tantrums, and even some time-outs for all parties involved, but at least we can laugh about it through the medium of relatable memes. Misery loves company, right?
So come commiserate with some of the funniest parents sneaking onto the world wide web in between their Google searches for how, exactly, to multiply fractions. Their hysterical memes cover the full range of the homework hell that is our burden to bear.

21 Hilarious Homeschool Memes for Moms and Teachers
Homeschool memes are in a league of their own.
It’s not easy being a homeschool mom, is it? Especially in the last weeks of homeschooling, we need additional motivation to get through the time that separates us from a well-deserved vacation!
We all know how rewarding homeschooling is, and of course we appreciate its benefits, but it can also be really stressful! A good laugh helps to relieve this stress and put us hard-working homeschool moms in a better mood.
This list of 21 homeschool memes has me laughing so hard, I’m almost in tears.
I’m sure you’ll say “this is me!” more than once!
Who Is Homeschool Spanish Academy? We’re an online Spanish school committed to empowering parents and their children to live happier lives, enjoy stronger learning outcomes, and experience real success. Learn more about our classes. ➡️
Hilarious Homeschool Jokes for Belly Laughs
Grab your coffee or cup of tea and relax! You’ll find a bit of everything from stay-at-home mom memes to teacher appreciation memes. And many more!
1. The Coffee is Gone
Ouch. Just ran out of your energy elixir before you’re even halfway through the morning?
Been there!
With your demanding schedule, it’s too easy to feel like you don’t have enough energy to get through the day. Take care of yourself and make sure you’ve got plenty of coffee beans to grind and big mugs to fill.
2. Day 7 of Homeschool Biology
I love this one, because it’s hilarious. Not because you should try this at home!
What a creative way to teach science in your homeschool, right? This resourceful mom needs a break—but she doesn’t sacrifice her chance to teach a valuable lesson at the same time.
Oh, and I checked it on Reddit: chloroform does have a smell, similar to disinfectants.
3. Homeschool Moms Be Like
Ironic, isn’t it? Non-homeschoolers think it’s a disadvantage for our kids to be raised and educated “outside the box,” meanwhile that is quite literally the entire reason why we do it. That’s the point!
Hear Your Child Speak Spanish! Your Free Trial Class Is Waiting ➡️
4. Home Economics
One of my favorites. This homeschooled kid got played by his smart mother!
Jokes aside, it’s a brilliant home economics lesson to calculate, measure, and mix ingredients for a family dinner. Combining math, science, literacy and fine motor skills with a slightly burned, oversalted meatloaf? Bring it on!
5. Homeschool Never Gets Canceled
The beginning of the COVID lockdowns saw public school students suddenly “school-less” and they seemed happy about it at the beginning. Sporting events were also canceled and life as we knew it stopped. But not for homeschool kids!
6. Teacher Appreciation Meme
Some parents tend to blame the teachers for their children’s shortcomings at school (you know who they are). But during the obligatory quarantine for coronavirus, it likely dawned on them that it wasn’t the teacher’s fault after all.
7. Homeschool Co-op meme
Sometimes you join a homeschool co-op for socializing reasons—that aren’t necessarily for the kids!
Every homeschool parent deserves to have interactions with other adults to feel sane.
8. Non-Homeschooling Mom vs Homeschooling Mom Meme
A big round of applause for us homeschooling moms! We know what “tired” really means.
9. It’s Pajama Day Every Day
When you homeschool, you know this isn’t true—but it’s a pretty hilarious inside joke. We know that pajamas aren’t the “uniforms” for homeschooled kids, but non-homeschoolers insist that they are!
Hand-picked for you: 10 Sample Homeschool Schedules You Can Copy
10. It Takes a Village To Raise a Child
Yes, it takes a village to raise a child—but what if you don’t like the village? You homeschool.
11. Homeschooling Takes a Toll
Ironic memes always get a chuckle out of me.
It only takes five days of homeschooling your own kids to make you look 50 years older than you really are. But kudos to you! Keep it up and you just might make it to 100 by week two.
12. Homeschooling Dad Memes
It’s not all power-napping, spitting contests, and house fires when dad’s in charge of homeschooling. While the homeschooling dad memes are hilarious, it’s true that dads don’t get enough credit or recognition for their hard work when they’re the primary educator at home! But, just in case, make sure you’ve got a fire extinguisher refilled and at the ready when dad’s leading the science experiments!
13. And the Best Thing ABout Homeschooling Is…
…no homework obviously!
There’s no homework to forget because all your schoolwork is kind of homework at the same time, and after your homeschooling day is over, there’s nothing left to be done.
14. Homeschool Socialization Meme
Apologies to all the Karens.
Somehow, non-homeschooling parents think that homeschooled kids have no opportunities for socialization. Like if there were no neighbors, siblings, cousins, other co-op kids or friends from extracurricular activities.
It’s “homeschooling” not “caveschooling”!
15. Homeschooling Parent-Teacher Conferences Meme
Obviously there’s no need for infamous parent-teacher conferences in the homeschooling environment but it’s hilarious just to imagine them.
16. Homeschooling STEAM Activities Meme
Homeschool parents are good at inventing creative and educational activities on a budget. This project was a solid lifesafer during the coronavirus TP shortage!
17. Homeschooling Methods Meme
You don’t need to be a teacher to homeschool your kids . It’s even difficult to find one single method of homeschooling as all kids and all families have very specific needs. That’s why you can do really well without knowing the whole philosophy behind what you’re doing.
18. Homeschool Projects Meme
Same idea as the “Home Economics” meme above—smart moms use their child’s learning opportunities to get things done at home.
I’m sure you agree that matching the tupperware lids is definitely an advanced project!
19. Homeschool School Reunion Meme
It’s like parent-teacher conferences. There’s no need for school reunions when you homeschool your own kids, but if we had one, would the name tags be necessary?
20. Mornings in Homeschooling Houses
The wild-eyed insanity of getting the kids ready for school and out the door before it’s too late and they’re marked tardy by their teacher. Nope, I don’t miss it.
Hand-picked for you: 8 Amazing Benefits of Homeschool vs Public School
21. A Homeschooling Mom’s Love
In my case, I love them so much that I would skip it! Just kidding—but I would definitely get a tutor for this part. Math was never my strong suit.
Did You Have a Laugh?
Being a homeschooling mom has its tough moments, but overall it’s the best decision for you and your kids and you know you love it! These hilarious memes reflect the good times and the bad, as well as the creative charm of educating our kids at home. I hope you got a good laugh from some of these and that they charged your batteries!
Don’t hesitate to share these funny memes with your homeschooling parent friends. I’m sure they need a break as much as you do!

“It’s a great way to learn Spanish, from native Spanish speakers in a 1-on-1 environment. It’s been fairly easy to schedule classes around my daughter’s other classes. The best value for us has been ordering multiple classes at a time. All the instructors have been great!”

We have seen his confidence increase as well as his pronunciation improve, because he learns from a native Spanish speaker. HSA has quick, personal customer service. Our family has been very pleased with our experience so far!”

The Funniest Work From Home Memes for Parents
Inside: Funny work from home memes for parents that will make you laugh so hard you forget that everything, including working from home with kids, is impossible right now.
Remember a few years ago when we all laughed until we cried watching this BBC work from home interview ?
Working from home with kids who are able to bounce their way into your video conference was a delightfully funny scenario from afar. And that little girls’ spunk was amazing. Not to mention the super mom who comes flying in after the baby…
Honestly, I can’t even recap this any further. I’m laughing too hard.
Working from Home Got Real, Real Fast
Fast forward three years and now working from home with kids is our reality for the foreseeable future. Schools are shut down. Businesses have sent workers home. We are social distancing and flattening that curve like responsible citizens.
But it’s hard.
Not hard compared to the hard others face around the world in war-torn countries, but hard compared to our normal lives of getting the kids on the bus and going into the office.
We are attempting to fit 8 hours of work into a day in addition to entertaining/feeding/teaching our children. Our tiny pupils are feeling restless. And even the introverts among us are already looking forward to hitting up a networking event with strangers just for some social interaction.
Work from Home With Kids Memes & Videos to Bring Some Humor to our Lives
There’s going to be a lot of fixing to do after this whole thing is over.
People will be recovering, the economy is going to need a boost, and kids will need to relearn a lot of math. But we need to deal with the here and now, and the best way I know how to deal with the here and now is to take it one day at a time.
And to laugh. A lot.
We need humor to make us feel less alone when we’re struggling. We need humor for our mental health. We need humor always, and I think now more than ever.
So as we do what feels impossible over the next (???) weeks, let’s lean into some funny work from home memes, shall we?

We Can Do This!
I’ll close with this.
These memes are funny because they are true. We are all simply trying our best in less than ideal circumstances and our best is absolutely good enough.
And don’t forget, even when you feel like you’re messing up, I bet you’re doing a great job. Because working parents multitask like bosses.
You can do this. We can do this!

Homeschooling is hard.
Maybe you’re debating about homeschool vs. public school and somedays you might feel like you’re not sure how much more of the chaos you can take.
Homeschooling was supposed to be hard because you’re changing your child’s life (for the better). But before you give up on homeschooling, give up on your approach first.

Every time.
Every parent who has thought about homeschooling their child has heard this argument.
There’s a myth that homeschoolers don’t have any friends.
This argument is such a lie! My children socialize more now that they’re homeschooled than they did in the public school system!
There’s ballet classes, BMX racing, church, library visits, grocery shopping…and let’s not mention youth groups, writing pen pals, visiting grandparents, or hanging out with friends.
So, do they socialize? Yes, yes homeschoolers are professionals when it comes to socialization.

If you’ve ever participated in a Zoom meeting with kids, you know that they can be absolutely hilarious.
From the kids who show everyone around their house to the child who forgets to mute their mic, there’s never a dull moment.
Moms often start the day feeling like Mary Poppins and end the day feeling like Cruella deVil.
But all good intentions, right?!
One of the best things about homeschooling is that you never know what’s going to happen.
It can be a total mess one day and the next day you’ll find yourself in tears. But that’s just part of the journey, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Homeschooling moms would have a greeting more like…
“Hello fellow homeschooling mom! I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say welcome to the wonderful world of homeschooling! It’s been an amazing journey for me and I’m sure it will be for you too. If you ever need any advice or just someone to chat with, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d be more than happy to help in any way I can.”

Homeschooling lessons aren’t always purely academic.
Often times helping our children learn through real life experiences helps them well into their adult years.
Even the family’s dog got in on the homeschooling action. (But in all seriousness, our kids would be grounded and be giving the dog a bath if they did something like this).
“Feeling guilty about your kids watching too much tv? Just mute it and put the subtitles on. Boom! Now they’re reading.”
Follow along for more practical and humorous homeschooling tips.
How some moms homeschool versus how I homeschool…somedays can feel like both days all wrapped up into one.
For the homeschooling children who didn’t have school canceled due to the coronavirus…
In all seriousness though, studies are coming out this year about students who stayed through the public school system during the pandemic. Their test scores are significantly lower.
You and your children will reap the benefits of homeschooling if you are able to make it work for your family.
Well, that’s an interesting question…usually when a homeschooling child is asked what grade they’re in, the answer comes as no surprise. “I’m not quite sure because I’m in all of them.”
Even though these funny memes give us a laugh through our homeschooling journey, the beautiful thing about homeschooling is your child isn’t held back by “grade levels”.
Homeschooling is a great way to provide your child with an individualized education. Your homeschooled student can learn at their own pace and never be held back by grade levels,
What’s not to love about friends? Homeschoolers have a diverse group of people who they can talk freely with, without any judgement.
Stay home sick from school: same room.
And the best part is, you can keep their books where they are because when a child feels better – whether it’s after an illness or injury-they’ll be ready to learn again.
If homeschoolers went to public school for a week: but what about second breakfast?
And just like that you know the difference between a public student and homeschooling child’s eating habits.
And just like that, nobody ever asked a stay-at-home mom what she does all day ever again.
Perception of homeschool moms last week versus perfection of homeschool moms now.
There’s a lot that goes into homeschooling.
When the coronavirus has parents teaching math and their child says, “That’s not how my teacher shows us.” Math is math!
I wonder if children will do the same thing to their teachers when everyone’s back in the classroom. “That’s not how my mom/dad shows us.”
Homeschooling is not for the weak. No, seriously, it takes major biceps to haul all those bags of library books. Consult a physician before you begin.
And just like that, a library becomes a homeschooling moms favorite place in the world.
The smell of new books, the feel of pages between your fingertips. This is a library in its purest form-a gathering place for readers and thinkers alike!
When you overhear someone making a stereotypical joke about homeschooling.
The pandemic has shown us that these jokes happen more than we think. And thanks to it, people are starting realize the impact of what they’re saying and doing!
Homeschool Moms: Those crazy chicks that get excited for their kids to stay home ! Yay!
And in truth, homeschool moms can sometimes seem like they’re off their rockers, but in reality these crazy chicks are some of the most caring people you’ll meet!
I mean, mom bought a world map and some new pjs. So, I guess you could say this homeschool thing is getting pretty serious.
And this is how you know homeschooling just became serious business.
Homeschool truth #674: The next time someone asks about “socialization,” remember: if we can get along with the family, we can get along with anyone.
The anatomy of a homeschooler.
I feel like library books doesn’t have enough representation and unfinished math books needs to be higher.
And yes, I’ve never met a homeschooling parent who hasn’t had an overdue library book (or two, or ten).
Homeschool problem #638,292,828: When you say you’re homeschooled and the first image that pops into people’s minds are that you live on a farm 120 miles away from the nearest Walmart.
I sent my son next door with luggage, they called and asked why. I said, “Foreign exchange student.” Homeschool: level pro.
Homeschooling has its perks (and so do understanding neighbors).
When a public schooler uses “homeschooler” as an insult. You keep using that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means.
If you’re a homeschooling mom, you know that it can be tough. But it’s also filled with hilarious moments. These funny homeschool memes perfectly capture the messy days and the tender moments of homeschooling your children.
We hope you were able to take a well deserved break, laughed, and enjoyed these hilarious homeschooling memes!
And don’t forget to share them with your friends – we guarantee they’ll get a good laugh out of them, too!
