ROOM ASSIGNMENTS: April 2024 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE)

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases the room assignments for the April 2024 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE)  a few days before the examination.

This year’s first Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE) will be conducted on April 20 & 21, 2024.

The said licensure exam will be conducted in the following testing centers: NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga,Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Room Assignments

Below are room assignments for the April 2024 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE) :

• Butuan – Advisory
• Cagayan de Oro
• Davao-Advisory

Examinees shall report before 6:30 in the morning on the said date because latecomers will not be admitted.

Things to Bring Examination day

Here are the things to bring during the examination proper:

• Notice of Admission
• Official Receipt
• One (1) piece of metered-stamped window mailing envelope
• Two (2) or more pencils (NO. 2)
• Ball pens (black ink only)
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
• Health Forms (Pursuant to Memorandum No. 68, series of 2020)
• Negative RT-PCR Test Results, if applicable, or Certificate of Quarantine (Pursuant to Memorandum No. 68, series of 2020)

Dress Code on Examination Day

Here are the specified dress codes from PRC:

• For male examinees, tucked-in white polo shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark); decent pants or slacks
• For female examinees, tucked-in white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark); decent pants or slacks

Prohibited Items Inside the Exam Rooms:

• Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded information or formulas
• Calculators which are programmable or with embedded functions, especially CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus
• Apple, Samsung and other smart watches, cellular phones, ear plugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth and other electronic devices which may be used for communication purposes;
• Bags of any kind (place your documents inside the transparent/plastic envelope)
• Other examination aides not stated in this program

All personal belongings of the examinees shall be surrendered to the proctor and shall be placed in a secured space within the examination room.

The rules on the conduct of bodily search, an inspection of personal belongings of the examinees, and the seizure/confiscation of prohibited items during the licensure exam (Annex A of PRC Memorandum Order No. 57, s. 2020) shall be strictly observed.

Exam Coverage

The April 2024 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE)  will cover the following topics:

• Mathematics, Surveying and Transportation Engineering (algebra, plane and spherical trigonometry, analytics, descriptive and solid geometry, differential and integral calculus, highway and railroad surveying, plane topographic and hydrographic surveying, advanced surveying, design and construction of highways and railroads, piers, ports and wharves)
• Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering (fluid properties, hydrostatic pressures, fluid flow, buoyancy and flotation, relative equilibrium of liquids, hydrodynamics, water supply soil properties, soil classification, fluid through soil mass, stresses in soil mass, soil strength and tests, bearing capacity, compaction, consolidation and settlement, lateral earth pressures and slope stability)
• Structural Engineering and Construction (engineering mechanics, strength of materials, theory of structures, analysis and design of concrete, steel, timber structures and foundation with the application of the governing codes of practice)

During the PRC licensure exams, the following precautionary health and safety rules must be followed at all times:

• Observe physical distancing of at least two (2) meters between examinees.
• Examinees shall be restricted to their assigned seat;
• Wear face mask (at least 3-ply surgical mask, preferably N95 mask) and face shield at all times; 
• Bring 70% ethyl alcohol for hand disinfection;
• Avoid close contacts like “beso-beso”, hugging, handshake, and directly touching other persons;
• Avoid touching one’s eyes, nose, and mouth;
• When sneezing and/or coughing, facial tissues must be used to wipe the nose and mouth areas. Dispose of used facial tissues properly; and
• Avoid spitting in public, on floors, and along corridors.

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases room assignments and instructions for the April 2024 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination (CELE).

The first Civil Engineering board exam this year will be conducted in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga on April 20 and 21.

Where to check or verify room assignments?

Check or verify your school/building assignments at the PRC official website (www.prc.gov.ph) or through the Notices/Announcements to be posted at the PRC premises two (2) to three (3) working days before the date of the examination.

What time should examinees report to the testing centers?

Report to the school/building assignment before 5:30 A.M. on the first day of the examination to verify your room and seat number. Be punctual. Late examinees will not be admitted once the examination has already started unless there is a valid reason.

What to wear on examination day?

Examinees are required to wear the following attire every examination day:

Male examinees : Tucked-in white polo shirt with collar (without any seal, logo or mark); decent pants or slacks

Female examinees : Tucked-in white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo or mark); decent pants, slacks or skirts; pony-tailed long hair

What should examinees bring in the examination?

Bring the following on examination day:

a. Notice of Admission

b. Official Receipt

c. Two or more pencils (No. 2)

d. One (1) piece long brown envelope

e. One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)

f. Non-programmable calculators. Only one (1) basic calculator shall be allowed inside the examination room. Calculators shall be inspected by the examination personnel.

What are the prohibited items inside the examination room?

The following items are strictly PROHIBITED inside the examination premises/rooms.

a. Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded data/information/formula.

b. Calculators which are programmable.

c. APPLE, SAMSUNG AND OTHER SMARTWATCHES, CELLULAR PHONES, EARPLUGS, TRANSMITTERS, PORTABLE COMPUTERS, BLUETOOTH, AND OTHER ELECTRONIC GADGETS/DEVICES WHICH MAY BE USED FOR COMMUNICATION PURPOSES

d. Bags of any kind (place your documents inside the transparent/plastic envelope)

The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 4,436 out of 7,005 passed the Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination and 629 out of 1,220 passed the Registered Master Electricians Licensure Examination given by the Board of Electrical Engineering in N. C. R. , Baguio , Butuan , Cagayan de Oro , Cebu , Davao , Iloilo , Legazpi , Lucena , Pampanga , Rosales , Tacloban , Tuguegarao , Zamboanga and Puerto Princesa , Palawan last April 2024 . The results of examination with respect to thirty-four (34) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

The members of the Board of Electrical Engineering who gave the licensure examinations are Engr. Francis V. Mapile, Chairman and Engr. Jaime V. Mendoza , Member.

The results were released in three (3) working days after the last day of examinations.

Starting June 17, 2024, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line.  Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.  Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope.  Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examinations WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER .
