There are many problems with the environment, and they are all connected to each other in such a way that we need a comprehensive, scientific, and long-term plan for managing the environment. The goal of the Master of Science (Environmental Science) Program is to train people who have the skills to deal with the growing environmental and development problems and changes that come with moving toward a sustainable society. This show will explain the social and economic causes of pollution and the degradation of the natural environment, as well as the effects on people, the atmosphere, the ecosystem, and other living things. Learners will get the tools they need to build the skills they need to be able to evaluate environmental issues on their own. Learners will also be able to analyse and evaluate environmental systems and problems, come up with sustainable solutions to environmental problems, and help make policies and plans for planning the environment. Environmental science is an interdisciplinary field of knowledge that includes specialisations with a wide range of fields of study. In these specialisations, students will learn how to deal with the challenges of maintaining the integrity of the environment for sustainable development in relation to human activities. The goal of the programme is to give learners knowledge and understanding of the physical, chemical, and biological processes of the environment, to introduce them to the theoretical principles of air, water, and soil pollution and monitoring systems, to stress the principles and practises of sustainable natural resources management and environmental management, and to teach them about impact assessment, environmental audit, and life cycle assessment.

I got admission on 3 September 2022, for July 22 session still I have not received the study material. Now last date for examination form is comming neither I have books nor assignments. There is a practical component for MSCENV Program. The Study centre is in the process of scheduling the same. This is to assure you practical component will be organised within minimum duration for the Program itself considering all prevailing situations. All the concerned may not the following

A. A dedicated webpage is created on this website for updating information regarding MSCENV practicals, Schedules etc.

B. There are two components of evaluation 1. Guided Experiments 70% weightage; 2. Unguided Experiments 30% weightage.

C. Attending practicals is mandatory for appearing in the evaluation (unguided experiments section).

D. Practical Record Book - Please maintain a complete and upto date record of laboratory work. You need to prepare and bring a laboratory practical note-book for writing and porting the work you have carried out in each practical session. The note- book should contain alternate pages of ruled and untitled pages (Its is suggested to buy a 100 page practical note-book for this purpose). 

E. You are advised to prepare the page (such as principle and or theory, requirements, procedure, observations and calculations, result etc.) for recording the laboratory exercise (as available in practical manual/s). For each exercise, you should write down title of the exercise, date and time of the exercise along with results obtained and your observations. What you need to submit and write in the note-book is given at the end of each exercise.

F. Submission of Your Practical Record for Evaluation - You need to submit the practical note-book and other required items to the counsellor for evaluation and grading. Marks will be allocated based on the successful experiment and for recording the results and observations in the note-book in a proper manner as asked.

G. In the best interest of learners information will be provided in digital platforms including youtube channel of centre, centre website, applicable dedicated Whatsapp groups, Google Classroom as applicable. 

H. Learners need to carefully read and follow instructions reflecting, enrolled in a post graduation program.

Undoubtedly, the earth is finding itself difficult to sustain a growing human population. The issues concerned with the environment are many and are interconnected so much so that a holistic, scientific and sustainable environmental management strategy is the need of the hour. Master of Science (Environmental Science) Programme aims at generating skilled man power to tackle the growing environmental and developmental problems and changes arising from the transition to a sustainable society. This programme will give an insight into the socio-economic causes and the characteristics of pollution and degradation of the natural environment, including the effects on human beings, the atmosphere, ecosystem and the other organisms. The programme will provide learners with the necessary means to develop the capacity to carry out independent assessments on environmental issues. In addition, learners will be well equipped to analyze and assess environmental systems and problems; be able to propose sustainable solutions to environmental problems; and contribute to the development of policies and strategies for environmental planning. Being an interdisciplinary field of knowledge, environmental Science includes specializations with multidisciplinary scope in which the students will learn to address the challenges of maintenance of environmental integrity for sustainable development in relation to human activities.
