Essay on Environmental Protection

Environmental protection is improving, defending, and maintaining the quality of the environment. The main methods of environmental protection are recycling, reusing, and reducing; however, some other methods such as Green Energy production, green transportation development, and eco-friendly industrialization also exist. Not only residents but also businesses and industries should play their basic roles to improve the environment.

The History of Environmental Protection

Humankind has always been concerned about the environment. The ancient Greeks were the first to develop environmental philosophy, and they were followed by other major civilizations such as India and China. In more recent times, the concern for the environment has increased because of growing awareness of the ecological crisis. The Club of Rome, a think tank, was among the first to warn the world about the dangers of overpopulation and pollution in its report "The Limits to Growth" (1972).

In the early days of environmentalism, people thought that the best way to protect nature was to set aside areas where humans would not disturb the environment. This approach, which is known as preservation, was given a major boost in the United States with the establishment of the National Park Service in 1916.

The modern environmental movement began in the 1960s when concerns about the negative impact of humans on the environment began to increase. In response to these concerns, governments around the world began to pass legislation to protect the environment. In the United States, for example, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was established in 1970.

The Principles of Environmental Protection

There are three fundamental principles of environmental protection:

The precautionary principle: This principle states that if an activity has the potential to cause harm to the environment, then steps should be taken to prevent that harm even if there is no clear evidence that the activity is damaging.

The polluter pays principle: This states that the party responsible for causing pollution should be held responsible for cleaning it up.

The public right to know the principle: This principle states that the public has a right to know about any potential threats to the environment and what is being done to address them.

The goals of Environmental Protection

There are three main goals of environmental protection:

To protect human health: This is the most important goal of environmental protection because humans cannot survive without a healthy environment.

To protect ecosystems: Ecosystems are the foundation of life on Earth, and they provide many benefits to humans, such as clean air and water, food, and fiber.

To promote sustainable development: Sustainable development is a development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Environmental protection is about keeping our air, water, plants, and animals safe. It means taking care of our planet so that it can stay healthy and beautiful for everyone. Just like we keep our homes clean, we also need to keep our environment clean.

Why is it Important?

Our environment is where we live, eat, play, and grow. If it gets dirty or harmed, it can make us sick, and it can also hurt the animals and plants that we love and need. Clean air helps us breathe better, and clean water is important for drinking and swimming. Healthy plants and animals make the world a nicer place to live.

What Can We Do?

Everyone can help protect the environment. Turning off lights when we leave a room saves energy. Walking or riding a bike instead of using a car helps keep the air clean. Recycling things like paper, plastic, and glass means less trash in the landfills. Planting trees is also good because trees give us clean air.

Together We Can Make a Difference

When we all work together, we can do a lot to protect our planet. Schools can have recycling programs, and towns can have days when everyone helps clean up parks and streets. Even small things like not littering can make a big difference. If we all do our part, we can keep our environment safe and beautiful for ourselves and the animals we share it with.

500 Words Essay on Environmental Protection

Environmental protection is the process of keeping our air, water, and land clean. It makes sure that plants, animals, and people are safe and healthy. Just like we keep our houses clean, we need to keep our planet clean too.

Our environment gives us food, water, and air. If it gets dirty or harmed, we might not have these things anymore. We need fresh air to breathe, clean water to drink, and safe food to eat. If the environment is not protected, we could all get sick.

Problems We Face

There are many problems that hurt our environment. Factories can send smoke into the air that makes it dirty. Cars also add to this air pollution. Water gets dirty when people throw trash into rivers and oceans. Cutting down too many trees can make it hard for animals to find homes.

Everyone, including kids, can help protect the environment. We can turn off lights when we leave a room to save energy. Walking or riding a bike instead of asking for a car ride helps keep the air clean. We can also reuse things like bottles and bags instead of throwing them away.

Recycling means taking something old and making it into something new. Instead of throwing away a plastic bottle, we can recycle it. Then, it can be made into a new bottle or even a toy. Recycling helps because it means we don’t need to make as much new stuff. This saves energy and keeps the earth cleaner.

Protecting Wildlife

Animals and plants are important to our environment too. We can help them by not littering and by planting more trees. Trees are homes for birds and many other animals. When we protect animals and plants, we keep the environment healthy.

Learning and Sharing

Learning about the environment is another way to protect it. When we understand how important it is, we can tell others too. Sharing what we know with friends and family can make a big difference. If more people know how to help, the earth will be a cleaner place.

Environmental protection is a big job, but even small actions can make a big change. We all live on this planet, so it is our job to take care of it. By doing simple things like recycling, saving energy, and learning more, we can all help protect our home, Earth. Let’s all do our part to keep it clean and safe for everyone.

So it is none but the only human beings who can play a vital role in the conservation of the environment. A US-based organization the Environmental Protection Agency is doing a lot to spread awareness among people to conserve the environment.

In the Indian constitution, we have environmental protection laws that try to protect the environment from the cruel clutch of human.

(Very Short Environmental Protection Essay)

Image of Environmental Protection Essay

The environment has been providing free service to all the living organisms on this earth from the very first day of this earth. But now the health of this environment is seen deteriorating on a daily basis due to the negligence of men.

The gradual deterioration of the environment is leading us towards doomsday. So there is an urgent need for environmental protection.

A number of environmental protection agencies are formed across the globe to protect the environment from being destroyed. In India, the environment protection act 1986 is forced in an attempt to protect the environment.

This environmental protection law is implemented after the Bhopal Gas Tragedy in 1984. All these efforts are only to protect the environment from more degradation. But still, the health of the environment has not been improved as expected. A united effort is required for environmental protection.

Environmental Protection Laws in India

There are six different environmental protection laws in India. These laws not only protect the environment but also the wildlife of India. After all, wildlife is also a part of the environment. The environment protection law in India are as follows: –

  • The Environment (Protection) Act of 1986
  • The Forest (Conservation) Act of 1980
  • The Wildlife Protection Act 1972
  • Water ( prevention and control of pollution) Act 1974
  • Air (prevention and control of pollution) Act 1981
  • The Indian Forest Act,1927

( N.B.- We have only mentioned the environmental protection laws for your reference. The laws will be discussed separately in the essay on Environmental protection laws in India)

Conclusion: – It is our responsibility to protect the environment from being polluted or destroyed. Life on this earth can never be imagined without the environmental balance. Environmental protection is required to survive on this earth.

We should minimize the use of Disposable paper plates: – Disposable Paper plates are mainly made from wood, and the manufacturing of these plates contributes to Deforestation. In addition to that, a huge amount of water is wasted in the production of these plates.

Maximize the use of reusable products: – One-time usable products of Plastic and paper have a very bad impact on the Environment. To replace these products, we must use reusable products in our homes more and more.

Use Rainwater harvesting: – Rainwater Harvesting is a simple method of collecting rainfall for future uses. The collected water by using this method can be utilized in different works like gardening, rainwater irrigation, etc.

Use eco–friendly cleaning products: – We must maximize the use of eco-friendly cleaning products rather than traditional products that rely on synthetic chemicals. Traditional cleaning products are mostly made from synthetic chemicals which are very dangerous to our health as well as our environment.

Environmental Protection Agency:-

How the Environment is a Vital Part of our Lives The environment is a vital part of our lives. The air we breathe, the many items we use every day that depend on natural resources, and our very survival all depends on the environment of planet Earth. As the current worries about global warming clearly indicate, the Earth is fragile, and we can do it irreparable damage by allowing pollution and emissions to grow unchecked. We rely on the atmosphere for the air we breathe, the rivers and streams for our drinking water and fishing, the woodlands for our housing and building, and so many other natural products for our everyday life. Maintaining and protecting the environment just makes sense, because it ensures our own survival. If we do not protect and maintain the environment today, there may not be a tomorrow for our children and our children's children. In conclusion, environmental….

Also, the Inspector General's Act Amendments of 1998 require that the EPA provide a report to Congress "twice a year and that the OIG reports to Congress annually on the status of audits and... corrective actions" ("U.S. Environmental," 2006, Internet). Of course, like all governmental agencies, the EPA has been mandated to be accountable for using its "resources wisely" in order to achieve programs results. This is due to the 1993 enactment of the Government Performance and esults Act (GPA) which requires all government agencies to "develop plans for what they intend to accomplish," how well they perform at attempting to achieve the desired results, "make appropriate decisions based on information" gathered from research and exploratory committees and provide their findings to Congress and the general American public via brochures, newsletters and the Internet. The GPA also requires the EPA to develop five-year-long strategic plans for long-term goals and objectives….

Florida Department of Environmental Protections

Budget Despite cutbacks in the current economic climate, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection has enjoyed a fairly substantial budget, including over two billion dollars annually for various projects over the past several years. Budget allocations are relatively specific, with large amounts of money being devoted to land purchasing and preserving programs that form the bulk of the Department's protection efforts. In keeping with the concept of small government that is a part of the Department's mission statement, rather than overregulation the state attempts to simply purchase land and water resources to prevent development that would cause pollution, and devotes a great deal of its resources to rehabilitating these areas once they are purchased. There are other significant budget items as well. Other major spending items in the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's budget include improving public access to nature areas and ensuring public as well as wildlife safety in places like….

Human Rights Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development

International Law and Organization UNDESTANDING CIVIL, POLITICAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC IGHTS Understanding Civil, Political, Social, and Economic ights There is a professional and figurative difference, which in most cases is theoretical, between civil and political rights and the social and economic rights. The distinction is limited to the statements, the structures that underpin these rights, and the overall functionalism. Nonetheless, these types of rights are interdependent in the sense that they reinforce one another. The understanding of the term rights applies to all the types of the rights that are there. The definitions and the general objectives are related as they help in serving a common purpose. Nonetheless, this purpose has been diversified to cater for the differential human needs and specifications. In the modern day society, the classification of the human needs has led to the generation of different rights and practices, most of which have resulted to these rights. A right….

How Canadian Provinces are Protecting the Environment

A Comparative Review of EIA Processes in British Columbia and AlbertaToday, climatologists warn that the adverse effects of global warming are threatening the future of humankind, and governments around the world have responded by implementing various mitigation strategies and environmental impact assessment processes (Mann et al., 2022). To determine how these processes operate in real-world settings, the purpose of this paper is to provide a discussion about environmental impact assessment (EIA) processes and how EIA processes differ depending on the Canadian jurisdiction. To this end, an overview of EIAP processes as well as the provincial EIA processes that are used in British Columbia and Alberta are compared and contrasted, followed by a discussion concerning their respective similarities and differences. Finally, the paper provides a summary of the key findings that emerged from the research in the conclusion.Environmental Impact Assessment OverviewRegardless of the jurisdiction, the systematic, step-wise EIA process is essentially….

Environmental Policies Give an Example

The 1980s (the period when onald eagan was the U.S. President) witnessed a series of government measures targeting environmental regulations. This resulted in public outrage against the anti-environmental policies of the government leading to a renewed interest in nature clubs and groups and the formation of radical groups who led strong movements to protect the environment. (vii) the post- eagan resurgence (1990s onwards) - President Bush and President Clinton did not take the radical stance of their predecessor. However, President George W. Bush has taken many measures which have weakened the environmental movement instead of strengthening it. This includes opposing curbs on greenhouse emissions via the Kyoto Protocol, supporting oil drilling in the ANW or Arctic National Wildlife ange, weakening clean air standards and lifting the ban on logging in forests. 3) How does economics determine the public's opinion regarding environmental issues? Discuss the values of the dominant social paradigm….

Environmental Genetic Factors That Influence Health in

Environmental Genetic Factors That Influence Health in Le oy, New York, 2011, a mysterious medical The relationship between an environmental agent and a health problem discussed within this document is the effect of air pollution on asthma. This effect is certainly a noxious one, as certain air pollutions have been known to cause asthma in those who did not previously have this condition, exacerbate it in those that did, and induce asthma attacks. In researching this relationship it is necessary to provide a brief overview of both asthma and air pollution. It is also prudent to discuss some of the more salient health disparities that emerge within a population that is related to aspects of genetics or environment. Asthma is the constriction of the respiratory system with mucus. It is a serious cause of childhood morbidity (Islam et al., 2007, p. 957). Environmental Risk Analysis Process

Environmental isk Analysis Process Environmental isk Analysis (EA) is "a process for estimating the likelihood or probability of an adverse outcome or event due to pressures or changes in environmental conditions resulting from human activities" (Ministry of Environment, Land, and Parks, 2000). EA should be a scientific process, when that is possible. "In general terms, risk depends on the following factors: How much of a chemical is present in an environmental medium (e.g., soil, water, air), how much contact (exposure) a person or ecological receptor has with the contaminated environmental medium, and the inherent toxicity of the chemical" (United States Environmental Protection Agency, 2012). All of these factors help the assessor determine the "potential adverse effects that human activities have on the living organisms that make up ecosystems. The risk assessment process provides a way to develop, organize and present scientific information so that it is relevant to environmental decisions" (United….

Environmental Concerns in 1900 the

Firstly, it is crucial to raise awareness and to actually make people listen, care and then act accordingly. verybody needs to understand that the environment should be everyone's concern because it truly affects all of us as we are all inhabitants of the same planet. This is achieved through information which in turn, is achieved through long-term campaigns which have the mission to reach as many people as possible. This is where the civil society needs to really step in and help improve the quality of information as not everything we hear or see on television is actually scientific information. In fact, spreading untrue or simply unscientific information can be very harmful to society and its attitude towards the environment because people do not know what to believe. On the other hand, there is the danger of over exposing a certain topic, in this case environmental issues, which leads….

Environmental Case Study Ten years ago, the United States Environmental Protection Agency established the Heavy-Duty Engines and Vehicle Standards and Highway Diesel Sulfur Control equirements. The rule accomplished a comprehensive single national program to control emissions of heavy-duty vehicles by regulating the both the vehicles and the diesel fuel used in the engines. The aim was to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOX ) by 2.6 million, non-methane hydrocarbons by 115,000 tons, and particulate matter by 109,000 tons by 2030. By 2006, most areas of the country sold only ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel. By 2007, the only new diesel engines sold required ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel. One looming problem was that diesel engines are durable and have a long product life -- the change to cleaner engines would take until about 2020. Problem Statement Diesel fuel is the cause of one-third of the nitrogen oxide (NOX) and one-fourth of the particulate matter that come from….

Environmental Security the Environment and

The author therefore appears to suggest that the holistic approach poses a risk of costly time delays for approval that might prove too little too late for any true difference to be possible. Brown (2005) asserts that the political involvement of security in natural resource issues holds the risk of conflict and insecurity. Indeed, competition relates to power and control issues arise where resources are abundant, while competition for resources occur where these are scarce. Brown, like Levy, asserts that there is little question that security and environmental issues are integrated. The risk lies in whether security is specifically integrated in mitigation measures, and the degree to which this is done. It has been mentioned above that the environment directly affects human survival and well-being. Brown further addresses the interrelation between the environment and security be asserting that they are interdependent: in other words, the environment can cause insecurity, while insecurity….

Additionally, Bollier further states the contrail emissions to cause warmer weather. The duration of contrails in the atmosphere can last for days, according to (Harris, Kuper, Lebel, 2010). Trails may last for days and spread over hundreds of miles. According to Patrick Minnis, senior research scientist at NASA's Langley esearch Center in Virginia, "It helped us get a very good handle on the relationship between natural cirrus clouds and contrails, and separate the two effects. We estimate that contrails have an overall warming effect which is at least the same as aircraft CO2 exhaust, if not more." (Harris, Kuper, Lebel, 2010) The white streaks (Murray, 2006), which characterize the contrail left by a flying aircraft is suggested by Murray to be removed as a contaminant by lowering the altitude of the aircraft during flight. Environmental Crimes and Health and Safety Law Violation With the current changes in weather patterns, strange climatic conditions and other uncontrollable natural disasters, there has been a lot of attention directed towards the environment and the way people may be contributing to the degradation of the environment in small ways that is summed up results into the disasters that we see on daily basis. The environment is becoming unpleasant on an increasing trend each and every day, this is a cause to worry about for each government that cares to see the consequences of our careless handling of the environment. There are also man's contribution to the insecurity that surrounds us on a daily basis since people no longer care for the safety of the workers that work in their industries and sadly to some extent, some don care even about themselves and the safety that may be protecting their very being.….

Essay on Environmental Protection For Students

Environmental Protection is the need of today. The following essay is written on topic environmental pollution. It explains the importance of environment, causes and impacts of environmental pollution to our earth. The essay is quite helpful for children and students.

Life on Earth depends on a healthy environment. There are visible signs that it is deteriorating. Yet, there has been no noticeable change in our lifestyle to prevent the condition from getting worse than it is now. Putting a strain on the environment through things like working in factories, commuting in fuel-powered cars, and using air conditioners has become an essential part of our everyday lives. The amount of energy we use is essential and cannot be replaced. Following is a reality check of how we contribute significantly to environmental degradation despite knowing how important it is to protect the environment & wildlife

Overpopulation

Humans are overpopulating many parts of our planet. This means there are more demands and less supply . The result is an imbalance in the ecosystem, and the habitats of birds and animals are destroyed, thus threatening human survival. Also, this leads to an increase in fossil fuel consumption and its harmful effects on the environment.

Population growth leads to more waste, so supplies must be provided at a faster rate. As a result, air and water become polluted. The pollution issue is so bad that to date, 2.4 billion people live in areas without clean, drinkable water. As a result of human activity, irreplaceable resources such as water, soil and the air are constantly being polluted. This process takes millions of years to complete. The human race is not only responsible for air, water and soil pollution, but also noise, light and radiation pollution.

Global Warming

The major reason for this is the increased level of CO2, which is caused by the increasing burning of fossil fuels. Over the past 400 years, CO2 levels have surpassed all records. This has led to a rise in earth’s temperature, which has led to the melting of glaciers and a rise in ocean levels.

Non-Veg Diet :

Humans have a long digestive system like that of herbivores, but a majority of the population still consumes non-vegan food. One kilo of wheat is required to raise a chicken, but one kilo can satisfy the hunger of two people. Therefore, a non-vegetarian diet is really costly to the environment.

Deforestation :

In order to build roads and houses, land must be cleared for deforestation. This destroys the habitats of wild animals and birds. The carbon dioxide level rises because no trees are available to absorb the gas, causing global warming.

Excess Usage of Useless Commodities :

We use luxury commodities like leather shoes, belts, jackets and belts made from animals’ skins for vanity’s sake without considering the impact on the animals. Because of this, animals suffer, while we adorn decorative items made from their nails and tusks.

Human activities are in charge of destroying the environment and eradicating humanity, so we know how to do that. We must acknowledge and understand the importance of protecting our environment and take action.

Short Essay on Need For Environmental Protection

In the last several decades, humanity has systematically degraded the resources and environment of the mother earth in the name of technological development. While we are on the way to increasing our standard of living unknowingly, we are hampering it further. As a society, we have come so far that we no longer need to debate about better living, we can now just live.

Nature has an amazing ability to revive itself when subjected to changes made by natural and manmade factors, but it too has a saturation point, and perhaps we have crossed that already. We have damaged it beyond repair. In addition to deforestation, we have impregnated the water resources with hazardous wastes to the point that they cannot purify the water further on their own. The soil has degraded to a point where it is no longer cultivable. There are too many problems to count, and a perfect solution has yet to be found.

It is already too late and we have gone too far. We won’t have tomorrow to repent if we don’t start working now. It is no longer just about protecting the environment, but about preventing us from getting into more danger. Now is the time to make amends with nature in order to extend the time we can live on Earth for few more centuries.

Therefore, it is amply clear from the facts above that the survival of humanity lies in the fact that we collectively contribute to the cause of protecting our environment. It is a collective issue that needs to be addressed from a developed country to the developing or underdeveloped one. The highly developed countries should not remain in illusion that the environment is purely an underdeveloped world issue! No, together we can survive, if we collectively work to nip this issue in bud.

Environmental Protection Agency Essay

Introduction, how the epa came to exist, legal protections of the epa, reference list.

On the 2nd of December 1970, the USA Congress passed and established rules and regulations that were proposed by President Richard Nixon to ensure the nationals and the environment was safe from harm and health complications. These laws and regulations included protection from harmful contact with hazardous chemicals, noise-control act, marine protection, and air-pollution prevention. It is the work of the Environmental Protection Agency, Washington DC, to administer these laws on the citizens and institutions.

The EPA rules came as a result of previous incidents in the USA that threatened human life and destroyed plant life, causing deaths of plantation and people from toxic wastes from industries. Back in the early 1950s, an incident occurred at a city called Love Canal in the surroundings of Niagara Falls, where a chemical company called Hooker Chemical Company sold its damp site filled with waste and covered with clay to a desperate-for-land Love Canal.

The pollution saw its residents lose lives and experience multiple miscarriages during the session, lasting till 1970 after the purchase of the land. Other than these, there were birth defects and vegetation deaths with waste puddles coming up. The residents were helped and evacuated upon President Jimmy Carter’s administrative commands. The chemical reeks that came up from underneath in school compounds and crop fields were cleaned up.

Another incident at Times Beach around 1980 lead the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) to form Superfund to enhance EPA performance and enable population evacuations. Massive and rampant pollution caught the attention of environmentalists like Rachel Carson, who in 1962 exposed the harmful effects of DDT on wildlife, especially birds. Campaigns sprouted from this marking world revolution, when many activists started to look into the health of the environment, thus the term ‘ecology.’ She died prematurely in 1964, with followers behind her cause despite skeptical criticism.

EPA at first instituted programs to enact legislation like NEPA, whose primary objective was an improvement of the environment generally. By 1972, the Federal Environment Pesticide Control Act, the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act were enacted by EPA (Stephenson, 2010). Now, more than hundreds of programs are managed by EPA to ensure careful attention is paid to cater to and preserve the natural environment.

There came a time in 1969 when the United Nations got concerned and alerted the general public requesting mankind to avert his ways to prevent a foreseen demise that would occur if he did not change his polluting and destructive habits over the environment. President Nixon appointed a Citizens Advisory Committee and a Cabinet-level Environmental Quality Council, which were both superseded by a White House Committee appointed to empower the first two.

A milestone achievement that has been set by the EPA is the introduction of Energy Star, which modifies electrical appliances used in homes reducing their energy consumption and thereby lowering the running costs. This, in turn, minimizes consumer spending and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. Energy Star is an initiative of the United States Department of Energy. A separate initiative of the EPA was set up in 1990, limiting the emission of nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide, dubbed the Acid Rain Program. EPA also came up with the Endangered Species Protection Program for protecting organisms and plants in their natural habitats.

This program limits the use of hazardous chemicals and pesticides that threaten the existence of other organisms. The Food Quality Protection Act also brought up by the EPA, required the use of national pesticides to be looked into to ensure their use does not contravene with the general good health of the environment. Asbestos Program was initiated by EPA to ensure people and industries recognize and limit the use of asbestos.

Before the EPA was formed, there was an unprecedented failure in the implementation of tasks of the ECQ. President Nixon merged a few federal programs into a federal government‘s pollution- control apparatus that would later lead to the birth of EPA. He appointed ahead and enforcer for EPA, William Ruckelshaus. William managed to subdue the Union Carbide in Ohio to bring down sulfur oxide emissions from the Marietta plant to 30 percent. This set a new milestone in proving GHG emissions could be brought down in compliance with the Clean Air Act. Some widely alarming air-pollution based incidences that occurred in Donora, Los Angeles, and London led to the deaths and suffocation of more than 4400 people.

The Federal Water Quality Administration was as well-formed due to the heightened levels of untreated sewerage and water pollution, not forgetting drying rivers and natural water reserves, back in 1948. The government got involved in legislation of the EPA regulations in a few major areas, ensuring clean and safe air for the whole planet, safe drinking water, and clean fish habitats, reduced water pollution laws were implemented, protecting endangered species of animals, and wildlife. Other aspects of legislation include the prevention of hazardous waste. These lead to the generation of new laws and regulations geared towards a unilateral effort at maintaining the balance between nature and man (Ahuja, 2009).

Up to date, the EPA has established measures that minimize human encroachment on natural habitats and reduces carbon emissions as well as fuel consumption. Alternative energy sources are being sought with the aim of eliminating fossil fuels. Fossil fuels combust to release energy and carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, and the result is the greenhouse effect, where carbon molecules in the stratosphere prevent penetration of reflected radiation from the earth’s surface. The surface warms up, leading to a situation known as global warming. The resulting rise in temperature breaks the water reservoirs at the north and south poles leading to climatic changes. Habitats are destroyed, and deaths arise due to rising sea levels, as well as rampant destructive storms and hurricanes.

Last updated Friday , 15-03-2024 on 11:15 am

Essay on environmental protection is an article that deals with the details of environmental protection law.

Where we will talk about environmental conservation, where we will focus our talk on an article on environmental protection  1986.

And we will not forget to talk about an essay on environmental protection and waste management. In an essay on environmental protection in Canada, we will talk about environmental problems in a 500 words essay on environmental problems .

That is why everyone who cares about the environment should follow the following.

Essay on environmental protection

We will learn about everything related to the environment in an essay on environmental protection. The importance of the environment is due to the fact that it is the place in which all living things live, and it is what provides them with all the necessities of life. We will know its importance and the dangers it faces.

There are many dangers that negatively affect the environment, but no one realizes that they are so dangerous.

There are also people who have become aware of the growing environmental dangers, and therefore they have already acted to stop these growing dangers.

What is meant by environment?

The environment is for living organisms such as the egg shell that protects the fluids inside it. When this outer shell is damaged or part of it breaks, what is inside is exposed to danger. This is what happens when the environment is polluted in any way.

When the air is polluted, for example, it threatens the life of living organisms, because there is not enough oxygen to perform the breathing process. This is what happens when the environment is exposed to any pollutant of any kind.

What distinguishes the environment?

What distinguishes the environment is that it is one entity connected to each other, as it is like an octopus that has one body and several arms. The environment is a body and several branched arms. The arms of the environment consist of air, water, soil, living organisms, and everything that makes life as we know it now.

Because of the interdependence of the elements of the environment with each other can not be separated. This causes the rest of the parts to feel damaged if part of them is damaged, which affects life significantly.

What is the importance of the environment for living organisms?

The environment protects living organisms from all the dangers that surround them from every direction. Living beings in order to live in peace must have several ingredients for life. One of the most important of these ingredients is clean water that is found in rivers and lakes. Which a living organism cannot do without.

There is also the air, which must be clean and free of any pollutants. And we will not forget the soil that must be non-toxic in order for a healthy and clean plant to grow as a source of food.

What are the dangers facing the environment?

There are several dangers facing the environment and surrounding it from everywhere, including water pollution

where humans used to throw their waste into water sources, whether fresh or salty water.

And ancient civilizations, such as the ancient Pharaonic civilization, punished those who polluted the Nile water, and this is because of the ugliness of this act.

There is also air pollution, which started with the industrial revolution and has not stopped until now. As for soil pollution, it occurs due to the burial of toxic waste in it, which kills plants.

What should be done to preserve the environment?

Governments must come together and protect the environment from pollutants. After humans have reached all this technological development, they must use modern means to detect pollution. The factories and water sources should be monitored. Those who throw garbage into the water or pollute the air must be criminalized.

And any machine that emits poisonous smoke must be replaced with another machine that runs on fuel that is called environmentally friendly.

Environmental Protection Law

After governments realized the importance of preserving the environment, it was necessary to launch a law to protect the environment in all countries of the world.

This law gives environmental specialists the right to go to places where factories pollute the environment and inspect them.

These observers take samples from the soil and water, and by examining the sample, it is clear whether it is contaminated or clean.

If the sample is contaminated, legal action must be taken with those who caused the contamination of these elements.

environmental protection in Canada

Because of Canada’s large area, which makes it the second largest country in the world, and its great industrial development, which made it confused because of the environmental pollution that threatens it. Canada is trying to reconcile progress with conservation. Therefore, great efforts are being made to maintain its progress over the countries of the world without harming the surrounding environment.

Canada educates citizens and launches the slogan “Connecting Man with Nature”. It reduces emissions that harm the ozone layer and causes global warming, and prevents waste from being dumped into the water in order to preserve fisheries and marine life.

Canada launched the Environmental Protection Act in 1999, which is concerned with preventing any gasses or emissions that cause global warming.

It is also trying to reduce the use of carbon that comes out of the electricity, energy and transportation sectors. Try to use environmentally friendly alternatives.

At the end of our interesting Essay on environmental protection, we learned about the importance of the environment. And we talked about the environmental dangers that occur around us. In the end, we tried to find solutions to these pollutants and the dangers that may negatively affect all living organisms.

And because our planet is the only planet in the solar system that is fit for life, because of the presence of all the elements of life on it, it was necessary to preserve it and not destroy it.
