Applied Research Associates Wins Potential $582M Contract to Support DTRA R&D Directorate

Applied Research Associates has won a potential 10-year, $582 million contract to provide operational support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s research and development directorate
The New Mexico-based company will implement R&D enabling capabilities for the directorate, which is tasked with helping the U.S. military counter weapons of mass destruction, the Department of Defense said Friday.
ARA will primarily perform contract work at White Sands Missile Range and Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico.
The award has a five-year base period, valued at $281.3 million, and five option years that would extend services until August 2032.
DTRA received two bids for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
ARA is an Albuquerque, New Mexico-based company that offers scientific research, engineering and technical assistance across national security, infrastructure, energy environment and health care areas.
