Nearly everyone dreams of building his own house. First, he plants it in his imagination. Then he speaks of it to his friends. He discusses the detail hundreds of times. A house is an important necessity. Your own house will certainly improve your quality of life. My dreams come into reality through my house.  According to our taste, we decorate our rooms. We look after our plants and flowers with loving care.

I have always been living in the same house for a long time.  It will be unjust, if, I only call it a house because it is more like a home. A house is indeed a great blessing.

My house is something very dear and near to me. It holds all my childhood memories. It may lay look very ordinary to an outsider but to me, it is my personal paradise. So, the comfort I feel in my house cannot be compared to any other place.

It has a very nice living room, which has been beautifully decorated by my mother and me. My mother’s crockery is placed in a very alluring and captivating cupboard made up of mahogany wood.

My parent’s bedroom is carpeted wall to wall and has some wonderfully painted beautiful pictures of hills, forests, and seas. My mother’s contribution to this room is in the form of artistically designed and finely sewn curtains across the window. The dining room has a small dining table made up of glass and metal. As we go upstairs, the steps are covered by a thin carpet. The house has long windows, which make it very cool and light up. There are a lot of flowerpots in the house, which makes it a nice fragrance.

The part I love the most about my house is my own room. It is the most beautiful room that I own. Every inch of its decorated according to my own choice. The best thing about it is that it has its own balcony from where I can see the garden of my house. My father and I love to work in the garden. We cut the bushes twice a year and we get our fruit trees sprayed once a month. My mother loves roses and lilies and she looks after the flowerbeds herself from time to time. I take extra care to keep the lawn tidy enough by using a lawn mower. There is a small bench in my garden, which I usually use for relaxing.

The front yard is also great. I usually skate and play with brother my in the front yard. Everything is right in its place and perfect for my family. I love everything about my house. My house is the place where I can be myself. Its atmosphere relaxes my thoughts.

Essay on My House:  The world consists of all types of people. Some are fortunate enough to have amenities while some aren’t. Especially in a country like India, where the majority of the population lives below the poverty line . To own a house here is no less than a luxury, one which I thankfully have. I am blessed to be protected by four walls and a roof.

It is my parent’s hard work that has given us this blessing. Many people in today’s world are always complaining about the things they don’t have. The person who has a house wants a bungalow. The one who owns a bungalow wants a palace. The one living in a palace wants an island. This never-ending cycle goes on. However, if we look at the people below us rather than those who are above us, we will be happier.

An Underrated Blessing

Having a house is an underrated blessing. If you have not realized it yet, you can go and ask any person who doesn’t have a house. Only then will you realize what a great blessing it is to have a house. Houses do not necessarily have to be luxuriously filled with the latest amenities. A house is complete if you have a roof over your head.

Moreover, if you have your loved ones around, then there can be no greater blessing. You must realize the importance of your house before it gets too late. Even I never knew how precious my house was up until one incident that changed my outlook.

We had house help growing up. The maid who used to work for us always came early in the morning and would leave in the evening. Even when my mother asked her to leave early as she completed the work on time, she never did that. On the other hand, she used to do extra work. Later we found out that she never really had a house. It was just a hut which had one chair and one folding. And that she liked spending time most of the time at our house because she had access to all basic facilities like electricity and clean water.

This incident made me realize how I took my house for granted. It is truly an underrated blessing which is overlooked by others. We must value our homes before it gets too late.

I live in my ancestral home with my grandparents, parents, and siblings. My grandfather built this house with his hard work. It has four rooms, one kitchen, two bathrooms, and a patio. My house is at least fifty years old.

House is undoubtedly a necessity of life for shelter and security which is why here we are going to discuss today My House Essay in English For 10 Class. In order to live a comfortable life, a house is very necessary. Nothing in this world is living without a house. Allah doesn’t make any living thing in this world without a house. We may extract an example from animals and birds. Birds and animals are also living in houses in the form of holes and nests. Therefore, the house is mentioned at the top of the list of necessities of life. I have also a very beautiful house which is situated on the bank of the canal. It shows splendid and outstanding views due to the canal. There are so many lush green trees present near my house which adds some extra charm to its beauty.

My house is situated near one of the ideal places such as near the bank of the canal. My house is spread over an area of 700 yards. There are a total of 5 rooms in my house excluding the kitchen and bathroom. Two bathrooms and one kitchen are also available. There is also one storeroom. All rooms are fully furnished with the latest essential goods. Every room has a large airy window. Doors and windows are made up of aluminum metal.

There is also a huge garden in my house. So many types of flowers blooming in this garden. The attractive fragrance of these flowers gives a fresh feel in the morning. The lush green grass of this garden gives an awesome charming look to our house. The walls of my house are painted with a unique off-white color. A big yard is also situated inside my house for parking cars.

There is also a huge tree of guava present in my house. It is 7 feet high and also gives fresh guava in the season of guava. I daily water my house’s garden and grass with fresh water. I live in a small house. It has two-bedrooms, one dining-cum-drawing room, one kitchen, and one pantry beside a bathroom and toilet.

My home is situated on Lawrence Road. It lies in the J.K colony. Previously, it was an ordinary locality, but now it has turned into a posh area.

My parents share one bed-room and I have the other bed-room. We have no separate study room. Thus, I have to study in my room or in the drawing-room. But, I think, my room is quite all right for my requirements, though it also contains a wardrobe in a part of it where the clothes .of all the three members of the family are put.

My house is made of brick, though marble houses are now quite common in this locality. It is an old one and needs frequent repairs. My father says that he will one day pull it down and build a new one in its place.

I, however, love my house and don’t want that it should ever be pulled down. I have, indeed, grown obsessed with it, so to say.

 Although my house is made of brick it is well-plastered and has beautiful smooth floors and walls. The walls are whitewashed and the doors and windows are well-polished.

The house has a courtyard on either side. Behind our back court-yard, there is another house. On both sides also we have houses of neighbors. Thus, our house opens on one side only. On this side, we have a high boundary wall which keeps us almost shut off from whatever may be happening in the street outside.

Since we have no car and have a scooter only, we have no parking problem. We park the scooter in the outer verandah and thus it remains protected against sun and shower.

We are very happy with this house. Thus, I can say that happiness depends upon the attitude of a family and not on the size of the house or other possessions that they have.

I belong to a middle-class family. My home is a cozy little flat on the 1st floor in Dwarka. Our drawing-cum-dining room is tastefully decorated. It has a TV set, a sofa, a refrigerator, and a dining table. The decoration pieces remind me of our visits to different pieces. There are two bedrooms.

One is used by my parents and the other is shared by the three of us. Not only the room but the study-table is also shared by us.

Ours is a small and happy family, where every member has consideration for the needs and comforts of each other. We all share household work, too. Our mornings are usually busy as all are in a great hurry to complete their work. But either it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner time, we all have it together. At that moment we share all that we had enjoyed or suffered during the day.

We always keep our home clean and tidy. Everything is kept in its proper place. I like my home, very much.

Like every fortunate child, I have my loving parents and one brother. My mother is affection personified. My father is a caring as well as a disciplined man. I have tremendous regard for both of them. If ever my mother gets angry with me, I feel restless till I make my mother happy again. My father is a quiet person but at times when he has spare time, he plays with us and tells us many interesting stories. He has laid a very strong moral foundation of our character. And my brother is the cutest creature I’ve ever seen. He is so small but he is quite capable of expressing his concern for me. His giggles make me laugh even when I am in a serious mood. East or West, home is the best”. It is a famous old proverb which is true to the hilt. My house is situated on the main road. It is not far from my school. It is double the storeyed. It is fitted with electricity. There are four rooms in each floor.

There are marble chips on the floor. We have covered the drawing room with wall to wall carpet. The show-cases in the drawing room have been tastefully decorated. It has a kitchen and a bath. It has four bed rooms.

I have a folding study-table in a corner of the drawing room where I study and do my home-work. All the rooms of my house are airy, neat and clean. They are whitewashed every year. We have all the facilities of modern life in our house.

Very nice people live around us. I have grown many beautiful flowers in one corner of my house. Their fragrance refreshes me and my family. I love my house very much. I am proud of my house. God bless our home.

About my house

I am blessed to have a house in the Adarsh colony of Gorakhpur. My house is a small house as we belong to a middle-class family. My house is really a sweet home constituting of my father, mother, we three sisters, and grandmother.

We have two bedrooms, one big veranda, kitchen, living room, washroom, and a small lawn outside for gardening and garage purposes too. My father ensures the whitewashing and maintenance of the house once a year. There is a vacant plot in front of my house which is equipped with different kinds of trees and plants.

This adds more beauty to my sweet small home. We, three sisters, share one room and it is painted blue according to our wish. We use the same room for studying purposes. We keep our room always clean. My mother is a lady with a sense of maintaining cleanliness all around the house and even outside the house.

We are a small but happy family in our small house. My house gives me a feeling of safety and comfort. I love living in my house, my childhood memories are also embedded there. On the occasion of festivals and celebrations we decorate our house, it looks beautiful.

My house is the best place where I can relax. When the name of the house comes to our mind, a feeling of affinity arises. My house is a place filled with positivity and blessings. My family makes my house a beautiful place.

It is usually said that food, clothing, and house are three essential commodities for any person. Usually, we observe that every person struggles for attaining these three aspects and later on fulfills other desires. Description of My House

My house has been constructed in my village area. It happened that during my father’s service we had been living in an apartment provided by the government. But after the service period was over, my parents decided to move to our village to reside there only, as it is a peaceful place. We already had our house in my village.

Attributes – We have five rooms, a kitchen, a washroom, and a big veranda. We also have a small hut there. During summers it proves to be the best dwelling place. The size of the house is larger as compared to the houses in cities. My house is surrounded by lush green fields. It provided us with a sense of beauty. There is a very low pollution level in the village as compared to the city. In spite of having my house in the village, it is equipped with each and every facility. People in villages are of very helping nature.

My house is like a mini-mansion when observed from outside. We managed for maintenance and whitewashing our house every year during Diwali. My family made my house a home for me. It includes my mother, father, two brothers and me. During festivals, all the members of our family reunite and celebrate. There are many of the special memories which we have in our house.

Utilization of Space outside My House

As my house is constructed on our own field; so, there is much vacant space in front of our house. My father used this space for gardening and making small shelter spaces for animals like cows and dogs. A little construction work was also required for the same. We arranged food and water for animals and birds over there. These activities and my family made my house a most adorable place to live. This area is one of my favorite portions of the whole house.

House is a beautiful creation of our parents for us. I love my house as it gives the feeling of safety and liveliness. Family member’s love and affection make our house sweet home.

The construction of a house must be done in a sensible way either it is a smaller or larger one. The creation of a house depends upon needs and imagination. Thus we can see that renovation in the structuring of the house goes on according to the requirements.

I am living in a 1 BHK flat in Delhi, along with my family members. There are four members in my family. Since we are living in a metro city, we get small houses in large rents. We live in a small house not fitting according to the family requirements but the care and affection of family never made us realize the space. There is only one bedroom so we two children have accommodated ourselves in the living area.

We have a proper kitchen, washroom, and a small balcony too. Our house is painted and remains clean always. We do not have much space but it is enough for our small family. We have a park in front of our apartment, which provides a good view. We also have a roof and sometimes we go there for getting good air. I have a small home, but it is properly managed and I love my place.

There is a lot of problem in metro cities if a person is having a larger family. The big flats are costly and thus people are compelled to live in small areas and are more prone to health-related problems due to poor housing.

 A Vision of My Dream House

I wish for my own house in the future, as we are living in a small house. I wish for my dream house to live with my parents and sisters. According to me, house should be equipped with all facilities like proper washrooms, kitchens, and airy rooms. I never dream of a big house, instead of a place which gives me the feeling of happiness and security and affinity. I am enlisting the features of my dream house.

• Good Ventilation and Spaces – My house would have proper ventilation and there must be spaces all around the house. This will help in making the house airy and lively too.
• Space for Garden – My house would have space for gardening, as plants help in air purification and provide a good look.
• A balcony Attached to my Room – My house would consist of a balcony opening through my room; it will provide me with the outside view. My dream house should have a good view in front, either of any park or playground.
• Lively Rooms – My house will consist of lively rooms, by painting them with different shades of colours. I want a reading place to be built in my house.
• Water Harvesting System – My house would have the water harvesting system to collect the rainwater of the roof and save it from wastage.

House is the best place which renders us the feeling of love and affection along with security. It is the place where we feel most relaxed and free. I love my house and all my family members who are making it a sweet home.

Proper education and good company help us to become courteous. We may learn courtesy from other people. The media and T.V. can play their part in making the people courteous. If courtesy is part of our character, we are always successful. A man who is courteous greets others smilingly with open arms. He respects the elders and loves the young people.

He loves mankind and prays for their safety and betterment. He is always ready to help the poor and needy. A courteous fellow is always ready to sacrifice his everything for the welfare of his fellow men. He lives in peace with his neighbors. His mission is to help the needy, protect the weak and be sympathetic to his fellow citizens. Indeed, more courtesy is all that mankind needs.
