Enhancement of Transportation Safety for School Children using RFID

This project implements a system to enhance the safety of the transport system for school children using RFID technology . By using this system, we can monitor the pickup and drop off the school children. This system includes two major units like a school unit and a bus unit.

The bus unit is used to notice the children when they board or leave the bus. If the children did not board or leave the bus, then this information can be transmitted to the school unit immediately.

Implementation of Mobile Technology for Atomization of Vehicle Parking System

This project implements the parking system to make the existing system easier to use. In this system, the user has to book a parking slot through an SMS. Once the user gets a password then he has to enter the parking area so that he will get access to park the vehicle.

Design of ATM Terminal using Fingerprint Recognition

Generally, the traditional ATM terminal-based customer identification system mainly depends on bank cards, passwords. So such kind of methods doesn’t measure perfectly and functions are extremely single. To solve the bugs in traditional systems, a new customer identification system using the ATM terminal is implemented by using a fingerprint to provide the security.

Detection System of Accident using Accelerometer

This project implements a detection system for the accident of the vehicle using an accelerometer. We know that vehicle security or traveling is the main worry for everybody. Once the accident occurs, then an accident detection system updates the police control room.

The sensor like an accelerometer is used to detect the sudden change of gravitational force in the vehicle because of the accident, and then the microcontroller switches the GSM modem to send an SMS to a concerned mobile number. The reliability and stability of the system can be tested through the product design in different conditions.

FIR Filter Investigation for Improving Delay Reduction & Power Efficiency

FIR design can be done with the help of adders, multiplications, and coefficients. The algorithm like MCM (Multiple Constant Multiplication) is used while designing the FIR filter to reduce the circuit complexity, increase the delay & multiplication using the huge area. These issues are optimized by employing a new method like digit-serial MCM like delay, utilization, and complexity.

Partial Reconfigurable based FIR Filter Design using FPGA

This project designs a partial reconfigurable based FIR filter with systolic DA (Distributed Arithmetic) design optimized for field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). A completely pipelined architecture is used for implementing low power, efficient computationally, high-speed FIR (Finite Impulse Response) filter. A new design is implemented for the LUT (Look-Up Table) in distributed arithmetic for decreasing the limited reconfiguration time.

This filter is reconfigured dynamically to understand the characteristics of LPF & HPF by altering the coefficients of FIR within the partial reconfiguration module. The implementation of this design can be done with the help of an FPGA kit like XUP Virtex 5 LX110T. The design of the filter will show the development in design time & efficiency.

Health Monitoring System in Emergency using IoT

This project implements a system to monitor the patient’s body in 24X7 through an IoT. By using this system, the patient’s physiological parameters can be monitored every 15 sec. The proposed system is accountable for gathering the data from the heartbeat rate, pulse & temperature of the body & transmits the collected data to the IoT Cloud platform through WIFI-module.

At last, the patient’s health condition can be stored within the cloud. This system allows the concerned person like a medical specialist to check the patient’s health and condition continuously on the cloud server. This project provides effective and suitable health facilities for the patients.

Autonomous Farming Robot using WSN & IoT

Emerging technology like IoT (Internet of things) shows the upcoming of networking & computing. The best application of IoT based WSN is the monitoring of agricultural from a distant area. The IoT based WSN faces many problems because of the drastic changes within the atmosphere. This proposed system implements a network for a mobile robot using an IoT for farming applications.

The robots like master and slave use the WSN which are connected through the NRF protocol to share the reliable sensor data. This project uses image processing and sensors where image processing is used to detect the weeds & sensors are used for detecting light, humidity, moisture, etc

Integration of Solar PV & Battery Storage using NPC Inverter with a Three-Level

This project is used to implement a grid-connected system like an NPC inverter by integrating a solar PV system through battery storage. In this project, a control algorithm is presented to control the power transmission among the PV of solar, grid, and battery which instantaneously provides MPPT (maximum power point tracking) operation of the solar PV.

This system’s effectiveness can be investigated through the simulation of numerous situations like charging and discharging of the battery in different solar irradiation levels.

PF Correction for 3-Phase PWM AC Chopper based Induction Motor Drive System with HBCC Method This project proposes a system like a drive system for induction motor fed from a 3-phase PWM AC chopper. This project is used to attain input PFC of an induction motor drive system based on various operating conditions.

This power factor correction can be achieved through constantly forcing the actual 3-phase current supply through the equivalent reference currents, which are produced in phase with voltage supplies by using HBCC (hysteresis band current control) method.

Intelligent Controlling of Maximum Power Tracking & Inverter Hysteresis Current for PV Systems Connected by Grid

This project implements a tracking system for maximum power point using neural networks for a PV system connected by the grid. This system is built with a PV array, a 3-phase inverter, a boost converter & a grid.

The neural network in this system can guess the necessary terminal voltage in the array for attaining the highest power. In this system, the duty cycle can be measured as well as the switches for the boost converter are controlled. Hysteresis current method is given to the 3-phase inverter so that the converter output voltage remains stable at any necessary set point. The whole system can be simulated through MATLAB or SIMULINK software under unexpected changes in weather conditions.

External Inductor Design for Improving Voltage Controlled DSTATCOM Performance

The term DSTATCOM stands for distribution static compensator. It is mainly used for load voltage regulation & its performance mainly depends upon the feeder impedance. But, a voltage regulation study for analyzing the DSTATCOM performance mainly depends on the parameters of the network. This system provides a complete design study, operation & flexible control of a DSTATCOM operating in voltage control mode.

A complete voltage regulation capacity analysis for DSTATCOM is presented in this system under a variety of feeder impedances. After that, a standard design process to calculate the external inductor value is presented. A generation system for dynamic reference load voltage is also implemented. This system allows DSTATCOM to give backload reactive power in normal operation & also gives voltage support throughout disturbances.

Optimization of Parameter in a Permanent Magnet Brushless Motor for Fuzzy Logic Control

This project implements a method for optimizing different parameters in a very fuzzy logic control of a Permanent Magnet Brushless Motor. This system utilizes an optimization of a neural network to conclude all the fixed parameters in the control strategy of fuzzy logic.

The vector control analysis system & the fuzzy controller are demonstrated using the MATLAB simulation to equivalent their performance. The main purpose of this project is to enhance the fuzzy logic management system performance.

Dynamic Voltage Restorer Real-Time Simulation using RTDS & dSPACE

The proposed system uses DVR (Dynamic Voltage Restorer) for balancing the disturbances of the electric power grid to protect sensitive loads.

The dynamic voltage restorer includes different power electronics converters like AC to DC, DC to AC converters, control system & a series transformer. This management system was simulated on RTDs (Real-Time Digital Simulator) using HTL (Hardware in the Loop) on dSPACE.

In Real-Time Digital Simulators, the power circuits were designed and control logic was developed on dPSACE. To examine the dynamic performance of the dynamic voltage restorers, the simulation tests are executed.

MPPT in Grid Connected Wind Plant by using Switched Reluctance Generator & Intelligent Controller

This project implements intelligent controllers like an MPPT system for an SRG (switched reluctance generator) driven through a wind turbine for obtaining the highest power. The smart controller systems are the ANN controller (artificial neural network) & the FL controller (fuzzy logic). These controllers will control the rotational speed of the wind turbine by altering the turn-off angle in the switched reluctance generator.

The wind plant can be allied to the grid by using two maximize power transformers and a DC-AC inverter system. The simulation of these systems can be done using MATLAB.

Solid State & Soft-Switching Transformer

This project implements a new topology for a completely bidirectional solid-state & soft-switching transformer. The features of minimum topology are 12 major devices & a transformer with high-frequency. It does not employ an intermediate DC voltage link but gives sinusoidal i/p as well as o/p voltages.

These transformers are mainly configured for interfacing with two or multi-terminal DC, single or multiphase AC systems. The circuit-like auxiliary resonant is used to create a zero voltage switching states for major devices & helps in managing interactions through parasitic parts of the circuit. The modularized structure allows series or parallel stacking of converter cells for high-voltage and high-power applications.

Open-Loop Stepper Motor Modeling &Controlling

This project implements a system for modeling and controlling a stepper motor. With the arrival of industrial automation as well as microprocessor applications, the attention within digital motion-based control systems is also extended. Hybrid stepper motors are extensively used in the applications of an open-loop position.

This proposed system implements an outline of a hybrid stepping motor. The drive strategies of this motor are presented like backstepping and full stepping. The characterization of system methods is described & response characteristics results of experimental and simulated results are evaluated to check the model. This project demonstrates that a stepping motor with an open-loop will be the right simulation to calculate the performance of the real hardware.

This is one of the latest Mtech projects involving MEMs fabrication . This project involves designing a MOSFET-based sensor, which is based on the fact that drain to source current of the device changes with the application of stress. The integration of CMOS electronics with the MEMs sensors facilitates the development of a low cost, accurate, and high sensitive signal conditioning circuit.

Design of a Wireless Body Area Network

This project is proposed to design a wireless monitoring system wherein the body parameters in the form of raw data, from different patients are multiplexed and transmitted to the monitoring station, where they are analyzed and processed using software like MATLAB. The project also involves the use of biomedical sensors and RF module for wireless communication.

Design of a Fingerprint System Using Capacitive MEMs Touch Sensor

This project is proposed to design a fingerprint sensor by designing, simulating, and fabricating a capacitive array of sensors using MEMs fabrication techniques . This system involves the detection of ridges and valleys on the silicon layer using the sensors.

Mobile Sensor Navigation System

This is one of the embedded projects used in applications like Robotics, surveillance, wildlife monitoring, where there is a requirement to track mobile targets. The Mobile sensor navigation system uses a semidefinite programming technique that involves the estimation of the location of the target based on the TOA measurement model. This model takes into account the presence of noise in sensor data.

This project proposes the use of a neural network architecture involving dynamic functioning, which is based on fuzzy sets, to develop an anti-collision prediction system. This system is basically proposed to reduce the number of road accidents due to the collision.

RF Radiation Package

This project is designed to develop an RF radiation system with highly strict packaging issues and a high pulse repetition rate. It is designed to achieve field strength up to 4700KV/m.

The RF radiation package involves batteries, a power supply unit, a Marx generator unit, and antennas directly incorporated as output to the Marx unit. This system can also be used in other electronics and communication projects .

Energy-Optimized Driving System with Autonomous Vehicle

This project is designed to develop an energy-optimized driving system based on information from the traffic signals. It involves the development of a wireless communication system between the vehicles and the traffic control unit.

The system also involves the use of sensors to detect the surrounding environment and to get the local traffic information. Based on the sensor’s inputs, a Metaheuristic approach to develop an optimized driving system is proposed.

360 Degrees of Robotic Rotation

This project is proposed to develop a complete automatic Robot that can not only sense the objects in its path, but also can pick up the objects and place them at other locations, or change its course of direction like a pick and place robot . This system targets to achieve a 360-degree rotation of the robot wherein the robot can rotate in all directions on its own. This is also one of the popular types of embedded projects.

Android-Based Wireless Thermal Printing System

This project is designed to develop a wireless thermal printing system using Bluetooth technology. It involves the wireless transmission of the data from an Android-based application to the controller by using the Bluetooth technique and then printing the data using a thermal printer.

This project is proposed to design a biometric system that involves human identification based on their iris structure. This biometric system uses a high-resolution imaging technique with the IR illumination method to get images of the iris, and then processes the images using digital technology to obtain the details of an individual. Iris Movement Based Wheelchair Control using Raspberry Pi – A Start of Art

Being disabled makes people be dependent on others to do their day to day work. Aiming to help such people, so that they can do the task independently, many methods and projects are being proposed. Paralysis is the medical condition that also leaves people disabled. One of such paralysis is Quadriplegia. In this, the whole body gets paralyzed except eyes.

This project is proposed to help such people suffering from Quadriplegia. Here, the movement of their wheelchair is controlled by their eye movements. To implement this idea IR camera module is used and image processing is done using OpenCV. Raspberry Pi programmed with python is used to control the system.

Smart Harvest Analysis using Raspberry Pi based on the Internet of Things

Agriculture is the basic source of income in many countries. With the growing greenhouse effect and pollution, our weather cycle is changing randomly and climatic conditions are becoming difficult to predict. This change in weather conditions highly affects the growth of the crop. In this project, a machine learning algorithm is used to predict the right crop to be grown depending upon the collected topological data, soil, and weather conditions.

Aiming to help farmers to get high yield, this system( SHARP) can monitor the crop for water level management, automatic irrigation, and manual/automatic control of motors . Raspberry Pi is used to collect the data, send it over the server, and update the database. This data is used for prediction and can be viewed on the mobile phone.

Hazard Reconnaissance Rover using Raspberry Pi and Multiple Sensors

The most challenging work for rescue teams during natural or manmade calamities is to find people among the debris. During such a situation, there are also some dangerous and confined spaces where the rescue team cant reach. this project is designed to be helpful in such hazardous situations. Designed using Raspberry Pi this four-wheeled Rover has a compact body with multiple sensors such as Temperature sensor , Humidity sensor, Gas detector, and a Night vision camera.

 Real-time Robotic Car Control using Brainwaves and Head Movements

In this project, the robotic car is controlled using head movement and blinking of eyes. Emotiv Epoc Headset is used to obtain the gyro and EEG signals. These signals are used to determine the direction of the robotic car.

Threshold values are decided using the maximum and minimum amplitude values of the gyro signal and ratio of beta waves and alpha waves. Arduino UNO is used for the implementation of this project due to its low cost and programming flexibility. Thus, in this project, the real-time control of the robotic car is done using head movements.

 Monitoring System for Solar Panel using Smartphone-based on Microcontroller

With the depletion of fossil fuels, we are moving towards the harvesting of energy through natural energy sources. Some of the natural energy resources are wind energy, solar energy, tidal wave energy, etc… Solar power harvesting can provide the best solution to meet our energy demands in the future. Many countries have already laid solar power plants to harvest solar energy.

With this, it becomes crucial to monitor the photovoltaic cells and measure the power generated by them. In this project, a real-time monitoring system is proposed that can monitor the performance of the solar panels using a smartphone. Arduino Atmega 2560 along with voltage sensor, current sensor, and temperature sensor is used to implement the system. The wifi module is used to connect the system to the smartphone. Blynk app is used to display the measurements of voltage, current, and temperature of the solar panels.
