We also provide essays in English on various topics like the Rural upliftment program in India, Man, and Environment, Brain Drain, etc.

English Essays For Class 10th: RURAL UPLIFT PROGRAMME IN INDIA

In free India, rural uplift programs were initiated in the year 1952 under the community development program. These were aimed at changing the face of the countryside and building a new outlook among the village folk. Under the Five-Year Plans, a high priority is being given to these programs. Much is yet to be done as most people live in villages. However, a new awakening is growing among the people living in villages.

The goals of the community development program are pretty ambitious. With the advent of scientific methods of agriculture, increased production of wheat, rice, barley, cotton, and other crops has been achieved, and efforts go unabated in this direction. Cottage industries are the backbone of village wage-earners.

A substantial increase in the production of cottage goods based on agro, marine, and natural products or bio-products has generated employment in the rural sector. Co-operative credit societies have sprung up to cope with the increasing demand for capital by small farmers and workers engaged in cottage industries.

Besides this, efforts continue to execute works of common benefit for the village community, such as village roads, tanks, gas plants, technical know-how centers, and adult education units in the rural sector. An increase in agricultural production, rural industrialization, and a change in the outlook of the rural people are thus the outstanding features of the village uplift programs.

The community development program has shown excellent results during the Five Year Plans. Village link roads, rural water supply, sanitation, electrification, and mass education are the areas where much work has already been done. Radio and Television are today as ordinary in rural areas as in towns and cities.

Schools, colleges, and technical institutes are now open in rural and semi-rural areas. There is a spate of tractors, harvesters, and tubewells in villages. Improved seeds and fertilizers are made available to farmers near their homes. Minor irrigation schemes are coming up, and the village industries are booming.

Primary health centers and veterinary health care units are roaring with improved life and livestock. A new awakening has now dawned upon village people heading for a bold advance in the new set-up. Village boys and girls are now teeming with the latest information on various topics touching on science, politics, and life itself.

An essential aspect of community development is the Panchayati Raj has been introduced in all the provinces. The panchayat system has been thought necessary to decentralize and democratize community development administration. The system envisages a far-reaching change in the structure of local administration and rural development.

Its chief purpose is to involve all the people living in rural areas to work for their own development and betterment. This mini-government will now look after rural water supply, irrigation facilities, housing programs, consolidation of holdings, roads, schools, and health centers. In this new set-up, women are more than ever before, occupying exalted positions in these Panchayats.

Banks have also been pressed into service to help entrepreneurs from villages to start new projects and generate job opportunities in the countryside. Banks are advancing vast sums of money at low-interest rates to the rural folk to set up industries by planting seeds and machinery to increase production and launch various development projects.

Because of this massive program launched under different names by different financial institutions, the face of the Indian villages is quickly changing. The government of the day appears to be alive to its duties towards the vast rural population in the country. India, it has been rightly saying, lives not in its towns but in its villages. Therefore, the village uplift program is being taken up as the top priority.

That is why that plans are always afoot to see that the farmer gets a proper price for his produce and all the inputs required by him are made available to him at a subsidized price.

The village uplift program is poised for a bold advance. Much, however, remains to be done. Prosperity has, no doubt, percolated to villages. But the landless agricultural laborers are still a neglected lot. Red tape and unscrupulous and dishonest officers are blocking the roads to the prosperity of villages.

Dirty politics has also crept into the fabric of village life. Vices like drinking, gambling, and litigation still play havoc with the lives of the people in villages. It is time that village people recognized their new role in the new set-up and managed their affairs. Rural employment, health, education, sanitation, cooperative farming, storage of wheat and rice, and an increase in agriculture and industrial production are the areas that still demand their attention. Let us hope that villages in India regain their old glory, health, and prosperity.

English Essays For Class 10th: Man and Environment

“Certainly, this is a duty, not a sin Cleanliness is next to godliness.”

–John Wesley

The problem of air, noise, and water pollution assumes serious proportions. Increasing industrialization is playing havoc on the environment. Industrial waste, smoke, and other gases are polluting the air in a big way. Apart from industries, traffic density also contributes to air pollution.

The emission of smoke and toxic chemicals has been raising the level of sulfur dioxide in the atmosphere. The permissible limits of noise pollution have been exceeded in the cities of Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai. Air pollution is responsible for respiratory ailments, T.B., skin allergy, eye ailments, cancer, and mental retardation in children. The proliferation of chemical industries has accentuated the problem. There are even more dangerous chemicals in use in the country than the MIC of the Union Carbide factory at Bhopal.

River waters have been mainly polluted because of the discharge of untreated industrial wastes, municipal sullage, and drainage of pesticides and fertilizers. All these have adversely affected their self-purifying mechanism by destroying their natural aquatic species.

Exhaust from automobiles is a significant source of air pollution. Many vehicles emit three to four percent of carbon monoxide, which is dangerous to health. An increase of chemicals in the atmosphere causes acid rains hundreds of miles away. These rains damage the soil and destroy vegetation and aquatic species in rivers and seas. They also corrode buildings.

The thin layer of ozone in the atmosphere is a form of life-sustaining system. It cuts out ultra-violet rays and allows the heat-generating infrared rays to reach the earth. But due to industrialization and consequent pollution, the ozone layer’s depletion rate is large. Its inability to absorb ultra-violet rays may lead to the “greenhouse” effect and widespread cancer incidence.

Marine pollution is yet another problem caused by the discharge of sewage and harbor waste in coastal waters. Oil pollution arises from tanker accidents, refinery effluents, and oil pipelines. This results in the destruction of marine life and threatens our ecosystem.

Nuclear pollution threatens life more than any other pollution today. Accidents can happen in nuclear plants, and when these happen, they can be catastrophic for large sections of the people. Nuclear radiation endangers the entire life-support system — plants, vegetation, animals, water, air, and human health.

Apart from all these pollutions, outer space pollution creates a severe threat to the globe. Space debris has become a reality because of the litter and garbage of thousands of space objects, dead satellites, spent rockets, motors, nuts, and bolts.

The release of gases by rockets has adverse effects. Re-entry of large objects into the atmosphere may also affect radio communication. Thus the ultimate victim of every kind of pollution, directly or indirectly, is man himself. Humanity today stands puzzled. A disaster threatens mankind shortly.

Air may become unfit for breathing in just a hundred years, while water may become unfit for human consumption. Scientists today are busy finding ways and means to fight this terrible pollution hazard but have not so far succeeded in their mission.

In the recent past, the Supreme Court of India has noted increasing pollution in the country. Several judgments announced by The court had directed the people to see that pollution of air and water is avoided as far as possible. Vehicles of all types have been required to conform to certain fixed norms regarding the gases added to the air.

Similarly, factories and other commercial units have also been asked to stick to the government’s anti-pollution norms. Local bodies have been asked to use better hygienic conditions. All these steps are likely to go a long way in fighting the menace of pollution, but a lot remains to be done.

English Essays For Class 10th: Brain Drain

Brain Drain is an oft-heard expression used in India. This refers to exporting or going from India’s Indian brains to foreign countries. We term it a drain of the brains because it is believed that, with the going out of these best brains, we, as a country, are at a loss. With our best brains working for other countries, we are left only with mediocre and lesser brains to work and develop with.

At the outset, let us analyze why there is so much of this exodus of brains from India and, without making much of a hullabaloo about the brains, try to check the drain. It is, however, a matter of pride for all of us Indians to realize that the world has, as of today, recognized the Indian brain among the best brains in the world. This is why foreign countries encourage importing the Indian brain.

On the other hand, our brains are also happy to go out because they get a congenial working atmosphere out there. There, in foreign lands, there is an appreciation of good work, and the work environment is friendly, unlike the prevailing conditions in India. Besides this, the handsome pay packets are no match to the slim counterpart of a paid return here in India. With this situation in which the Indian brains and the foreign countries find the business lucrative and very satisfying; how and why should it be stopped?

Regarding the why of the question, I feel it should be curtailed if not stopped because, if the best go out, what are the prospects of development in our own country? For this, again, we, ourselves, are to blame. If we make the atmosphere healthier for good work, I feel at least some of the brains may stay back in India. With all their expertise going out, we have to accept that India is at a loss, but we cannot blame the people going out as, who do not want to improve their standard of life.

The fact of their going out does, on the face of it appear to be unfair to India for, when we have the know-how, the expertise, why should we not reap the benefit of it all; however, to take this advantage of the brains, we have to do something to lure them to stay within, for which I daresay, India has to do a lot of work.

The solution is not simply regarding how this brain drain can be stopped, but it is not impossible. The Government must see that the working environment and appreciation be given to exemplary work.

The pay packets can also be enhanced to attract at least a few brains who may be less ambitious and patriotic. For, I believe that several brains may prefer to stay back in India if the requisite changes are made for them in the the entire system of working patterns.

Thus, to prevent a brain drain from India, it is not sufficient to just shout about it and make an issue of it. We must work towards the goal of providing them with at least the near amenities to them as what they would get in any of the foreign lands they may choose to go to. If we try this, we may succeed in holding back at least a few of them from helping us to develop India.

The brain drain may be causing concern to us as the best of our Indian brains go out of the country. However, there is not only a black cloud of missing out on our best but there is also a silver lining to the drain. The brains that go out of India are by now such a substantial number that they form a vast community in themselves, called the Non-Resident Indians.

These goals are a constant source of income for India in terms of foreign exchange. With their remittances home, they contribute substantially to building up the country’s foreign exchange.

Thus, this brain drain is and will continue unless we put a stopper by providing them with more working facilities at home and giving them more than the other ordinary brains in terms of pecuniary benefits. As long as we can’t do this for them or don’t do this for them, the brain drain cannot be stopped, and the best Indians will continue to find homes abroad.

While they continue to go out, we, the Indians, will have to continue being happy with the fact that they have at least become a force to reckon with, and they get a lot of name and fame.

We have penned down English Essays For Class 10th to improve and enhance the students’ vocabulary and boost their writing skills to attempt questions relating to writing skills. Students will be able to write on various issues and topics promptly hence essay writing topics in English help in improving their brainstorming and flow of original ideas.

Essay No. 01 The Holy Prophet (PBUH)

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the last messenger of Allah. He was born on Monday 12th R.A, 20TH April 571 A.D. His father’s name was Abdullah and his mother’s name was Bibi Amina. His parents died by the time he was six years old. He was looked after by his grandfather Abdul Muttalib and uncle Abu Talib. Both of them did all they could to rear him well. Before his prophethood, he was so honorable and trustworthy that people called him Sadiq and Ameen. People used to refer all the disputes to him for the final decision.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to retire and pray in a cave named Hira. One day the most wonderful incident happened to him. Through the Angel, Gabriel Allah revealed to him the true religion Islam. Thus, he was made a prophet at the age of forty. Immediately after this incident, he started preaching Islam. He taught people that they should worship the one and only Allah. Many people embraced Islam but many more turned against him and started teasing him and his friends.

He was stoned and tortured, but nothing could move him from his right path. He continued his preaching unless he was ordered by Allah to leave Makkah. He left the city of Makkah and migrated to Madina. There also Islam spread far and wide and thousands of people embraced Islam at the hands of the noblest of men. He created harmony and mutual cooperation among the people of Madina. Our holy prophet Muhammad (PBUH) passed away at the age of 63 years. He is the last prophet. There would be no prophet after him. He is for all ages and for all nations of the world.

Essay No. 02 My Hobby

My hobby is watching TV. I like very much to watch TV in my free time. Watching TV is my hobby, however, it never interferes with my study. First, I prefer to complete my school homework and study well, then I watch TV. I think I have a good hobby because watching TV provides me with good knowledge in many areas.

I generally see news and discovery channels including animal planets on the TV. I also watch good cartoons which give me new and creative ideas to make art and cartoons. My parents appreciate my hobby and they become very happy when they listen to all the latest news through me my voice.

Now, I am 16 years old and read in class 10th standard, however, I developed this hobby in early childhood. Watching TV in the right way plays a very important role in our lives. It benefits a lot if used in creative ways. It keeps us updated about all the news and happenings going out all across the world. Having knowledge about the happenings has become a necessity of modern society because of the huge level of competition. It provides a lot of benefits because it improves our knowledge as well as gives information to maintain our lifestyle.

There are various new programs on TV which are especially relaying to increase our awareness about worldwide affairs. There are various subjective programs about history, math, economics, science, geography, culture, etc. relay to increase our knowledge. Due to the above-mentioned advantages, I like and am proud of my hobby.

Essay No. 03 My Ambition in Life

Everybody has an ambition in his life. Life without ambition does not lead anywhere. You do not know where to go and what to do. A person with a set of ambitions sets his goals in advance. He does not lead astray. His eyes are always on his ultimate goal. He cannot be misled by other temptations. He is a master of his luck. He does not believe in destiny. He works very hard. His energy does not go to waste. He goes on and on forcefully. His health does not fail him. Failures do not change his mood to change his track.

I would like to be a doctor. My country has become free. The government has decided to uproot the diseases from the country and improve the health of the people. Hospitals are being opened for this purpose. There is a great demand for doctors. Taking all these things into consideration. I have made up my mind to become a doctor.

Ambition is a great incentive to work. If you have an ambition, you can pursue it all your life and never feel tired. It drives you on and on quite tirelessly. You must decide early in life whether you want to become an engineer, a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, a banker, join Army, Air Force, or Navy or become a commercial pilot, or a scientist, philosopher, writer, or poet, a musician or an artist. The whole world is open before a young man and he should make up his mind about his career as early as possible.

Essay No: 04 My Favorite Book

I like reading interesting and informative books. I have a library at my home. I often read books in my free time. I like all the books, but The Holy Quran is my favorite book. It is the book of Allah. It provides us with the language and messages of God. For more than thirteen centuries, it has guided humanity. It was revealed to Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him), that the last Prophet, in the 7th century, was valid till the world exists.

“The Holy Quran is the greatest book of knowledge and instruction for all humanity and for all time.” The Holy Quran is written in the purest and most perfect form of Arabic. It has been divided into chapters and verses. The chapters are called suras, which are 114 in all. The opening chapter of the Holy Quran is very short, having six verses. We Muslims repeat it several times a day, and it is called the Fatiha, that is, the preface or introduction. It at once affects the feelings of a true Muslim. He cannot do anything evil or bad if he understands its meaning.

The Holy Quran makes it clear that Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him) was bringing Islam back to its first, original purity, the only true religion, which had existed since the beginning of the universe. Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is the last in the line of prophets, going back in time to Adam (AS).

Therefore, the Holy Quran is the last holy book revealed by Allah to his prophets. Whereas the other books changed or got corrupted with time, the Quran still exists in its first original purity. Every word of it is God’s word, perfect and pure. I like this book most of all.

Essay No. 05 My Best Friend

Good friends are very rare in these fast-changing days. Old values have gone, and new ones have not yet come. Still, one must have a friend one can confide in. I am lucky to have a number of friends. Tanveer is my best friend. I am really proud of him. He comes from a respectable family. His father is a retired Education officer. We are class fellows. He is one of the best students in our class. He understands things quickly.

He is a bright and active-minded person. He is very punctual. He is obedient and respectful. He is soft-spoken. He is good at studying. He is not a bookworm. He reads extra books and is not confined to his textbooks. He takes interest in current affairs and often discusses with me the important issues of the day. His approach is direct but impartial. He is tolerant, broadminded, and cooperative. He is fond of visiting a restaurant and he takes his lunch outside on Sundays.

He is also fond of seeing movies. He is also a good player in Cricket. We won many matches under his captaincy. He has a lot of knowledge about Cricket. In fact, nobody is absolutely free from shortcomings, but I never feel anything bad about him. He is very informative. He is always open to arguments. He is a well-mannered boy. I am really proud of him.

Essay No. 06 A Morning Walk

A morning walk is the best exercise. It costs nothing but it is suitable for everyone. The atmosphere at that time was very cool and refreshing. Everything looks fresh and happy. A cool breeze blows and a walk at that time is really very enjoyable. I go out for a walk daily. I never miss it and do it without fail. I get up early in the morning. I put on my clothes and go out towards the canal which is at a distance of two kilometers from our house. The atmosphere is very calm and quiet. I pass through the fields. They look charming and fresh.

Birds chirp and green crops wave in the cool and fresh air. The milk vendors are seen bringing milk from the nearby villages. Vegetable sellers go to the market to sell their vegetables. Dewdrops on the grass look like pearls.

Soon I reached the canal. I take off my clothes and jump into the water. I enjoy a healthy bath. After that, I put on my clothes and say my prayers. By this time, the sun rises and I make my way back home. On my way back, I came across many people going to the canal. A morning walk has many advantages. It keeps us refreshed all day long. We get an early start in the day. It sharpens our appetite and this prolongs life. It is in fact a panacea for all ills.

Essay No. 07 A house on fire

Last Saturday evening, we were having a tea party at our house. All of a sudden, the happy atmosphere of the party was disturbed by a loud noise. The guests at the party started running out of the house in great confusion. I came outside and found that one of our neighbors had caught fire. The flames were rising high up towards the sky. Everybody feared that a big fire would spread to the whole colony. We were anxious to bring the fire under control. The wind fanned the flames. People want to put out the fire with buckets full of water and bags of sand.

The lady of the house was weeping bitterly. Her cries were heart-rending. Her only son was sleeping on the upper story. The fire had not yet reached there. But the cloud of smoke was summing out of the window of that room. Going to that story to save the boy meant sure death. I wanted to rush to the help of the injured boy but I had an injured leg. A young boy offered to risk his life.

The people put a ladder against the wall. The boy ran up like an arrow. He brought the child out of the flames. Both the boy and the child were choked with smoke.

The fire began to die down. It took two hours to bring it down. The building was reduced to ashes. It was a terrible sight. Our neighbor was in great distress. None could say how the fire broke out. Some said that the fire was started by some mischievous people in the colony. Others said that it was due to the carelessness of the servant of the house who left a burning cigarette near some clothes. In any case, the owner of the house suffered a heavy loss. But Allah is thankful there was no loss of life. Everyone praised the young boy for his bravery.

Essay No. 08A Visit to a historical place

Historical heritage is a great asset to a country. Living nations always protect their historical traditions. They feel proud of these works of genius. Pakistani culture is rich in every respect. I love the whole Pakistani culture. The things that attract me the most in this respect are the historical buildings of Pakistan. Last summer, my friends and I made a program to visit the historical places of Lahore. We started from Mardan and reached Lahore in the twilight of the evening. We spent a night in a hotel.

The next day, we were very excited. We decided to visit the tomb of Jehangir. We hired a taxi and reached the tomb. The four minarets of the tomb were presenting a very majestic view. The tomb was surrounded by a wall. Its entrance was very beautiful. There was a park inside the wall. The park was full of blooming flowers. They were spreading their fragrance all around. It was a very charming sight. There were some cool shady trees. Many birds were sitting in the twigs of these trees. They were chirping.

In front of the tomb, there was a beautiful fountain. It was sprinkling its light shower. The drizzling of drops produced a piece of charming music. Soon afterward, we entered the edifice that contained the grave of the emperor. There we pondered over the mystery of death for some time. The room was decorated with colorful designs. We offered “Fateha” and prayed to Allah to bless the emperor with eternal blessings. The building itself is a wonderful place of Muslim architecture.

We went up to the terrace and had a view of the city of Lahore. It was a beautiful sight. The cool breeze and deep blue sky had a magical effect on us. We came down and sat under a tree to take some rest. We ate some food and drank cold drinks. We made some of the floral and mosaic designs that we had seen in the chamber of the tomb. In the evening we returned to our hotel. Our minds were full of solemn thoughts. We were pondering over the mystery of death and the eternity of nature.

Essay no 09 A Visit to a historical place

Every morning I take my school bus from the bus stand which is close to a crossing. One morning as always, I was waiting for my school bus when this accident occurred. One bus crossed the amber light just as it turned red. The traffic policeman on duty blew his whistle loudly but the bus driver did not stop.

The traffic on the side roads had begun to move. One boy riding a motorbike seemed to be in a great hurry. He moved ahead of all the other vehicles with an unexpected start. In this move, he did not notice the speeding bus and before he could apply the brakes the bus hit him. With a jerk, the boy was thrown into the air before he fell on the road.

The motorbike was pulled to a distance by the bus before it stopped. Screams and shouts filled the air for a while. The traffic policeman dashed towards the bus driver. Many people including the passer-by gathered around the boy.

Luckily the police squad in their Gypsy van were close behind in the moving traffic and came to the rescue. They called for an ambulance over their wireless and cleared away the gathered crowd. An ambulance came surprisingly soon but unfortunately, the boy had already breathed his last. Few bus passengers who suffered minor injuries were given quick first aid.

The traffic was held up for more than an hour. My school bus was nowhere in sight and I decided to return home.

Essay No. 10 Our country

Freedom is one of the precious gifts of Allah. Our country is no doubt a symbol of freedom and peace where we can lead an independent life according to the teaching of Islam. This fair country which has been named The Islamic Republic of Pakistan appeared on the map of the world on 14th August 1947. Allama Iqbal was the dreamer of Pakistan. Quaid –e – Azam worked hard to change his dream into reality in the shape of Pakistan where we can enjoy the freedom of thought, actions, and religion.

Pakistan is situated in Asia and is called the future of Islam. It has been divided into four provinces, K.P.K, Punjab, Balochistan, and Sindh. The capital of Pakistan is Islamabad.

In the political sense, Pakistan is a new state but in reality, it is thousands of years old. It is the land of the Indus valley civilization. It is the land where Muhammad Bin Qasim brought the light of Islam.

I love my dear homeland because it has protected me. It is the land of my forefathers. They have tailed here. Every inch of this soil is rich with sweat and blood. They have become a part of this land. For me, this land is most precious and sacred. I am proud of my country, the fairest of all lands. I love my country with my heart and soul.

Essay No. 11 A Picnic Party

Last Monday our principal granted us a one-day holiday because our class had shown brilliant results in the annual examinations. The day was cloudy, and a pleasant breeze was blowing across. Inayat, Tanveer, Nasir, and I were thinking of visiting the zoo in the afternoon. But when I suggested that we should have a picnic on the bank of a river. All of them welcomed the idea.

We set off on our motorbikes in high spirits, each carrying a basket. We took the main road. The green fields of wheat and other crops, waving in the breeze, stretched on either side and greeted us. Some farmers were seen cutting grass and binding them into sheaves. How delightful it was to get away from the noisy streets and in the open fresh air.

At last, we reached the river. The water was flowing quietly. We came upon a grassy spot under a large banyan tree. We disembarked our baskets and kettles. We were now tired and hungry. Tanveer and I went to gather some dry branches.

Nasir lit the fire and placed the kettle on it to prepare tea for all of us. Inayat opened the baskets. O, what a delicious tea it was. I had never tasted one like that before. We opened our lunch boxes and had a hearty lunch of pastry, cakes, bananas, biscuits, oranges, and poori. We made merry for hours. We sang, told stories, and played cards.

In the afternoon we hired a boat and started rowing downstream, Nasir and I took the oars. Inayat was in a jolly mood. He began to sing songs. Suddenly, he fell into the water rolling over the side of the boat. The next minute, we were all in water, struggling for our lives. Tanveer and I could swim. But Inayat was nowhere to be seen.

We all wondered where he had slipped. But just then, we saw his head rise above the surface of the water. I swam up to him, caught hold of his clothes before he could go down again, and pulled him out to the bank.

So, it all ended well. Though frightened, we were tired, so we took a rest for some time. We returned home late in the evening. We were all thankful to Allah that the picnic had ended on a happy note.

Essay No. 12Happiest Day of My Life

There are many days in life that bring joy and pleasure, but some days are the happiest and remain in our minds forever. These days are reminders of the amazing time we have spent. The happiest day of my life is a visit to an orphanage. The happiness I felt that day is no match with any other day of my life.

\My friend likes to help others and he often likes to arrange visits to different orphanages. On one of his visits, he invited us all. As I was free that day, I decided to go. First, I wasn’t excited at all. I didn’t know what I would do when I reached there. It was in the plan to reach the place at 2 p.m. I went before time and started to wait for others. There was a magic show arrangement for the children and the magician was arranging his things. In the waiting area, I saw children watching where I was sitting. Then they called me inside with the other people I was sitting with. When I was with them, they started to ask so many questions about where I was from and why I was visiting them when I didn’t know them. Their questions struck my mind.

When all the arrangements were completed in the hall, the children were asked to go to that area. They divided into groups and selected the person they liked most; they grabbed our hands and took us out. They sat with us and enjoyed the show while talking to us in the way that we were their old friends. They all were very beautiful and just our presence meant a lot to them.

After the show, we played different games and enjoyed different activities. We distributed gifts and sweets, painted their faces with cute butterflies and flowers, applied mehndi on girls’ hands, and ate with them. When it was time, all the children had tears in their eyes and they were taking promised each one of us that we would visit them often. With the promise of meeting again we left the place.

After my first meeting with these children, one thought hit my mind that they were thinking we had made their day but, in reality, they have provided us the way to remain happy forever. I found that true happiness can only be enjoyed when you make others happy and especially those who don’t have anyone to call their own!.

ESSAY WRITING

Essay writing is generally referred to as the writer’s perspective of writing a story regarding an event. Essays can be formal or informal depending upon the topic. The formal essays generally include the academic portion and raise some serious events, or topics whereas, the informal essays include the humorous side of the writer perceiving any event. My self essay for class 10 and Quaid e azam essay in english for class 10 have also been give at Ilmkidunya.

Essays are of different types:

  • Narrative Essays: These types of essays include the writer’s narration of any story or incident.
  • Descriptive Essays: Descriptive essays are a way to convey an event in such a way that the reader may feel the story at the moment.

Some important essays for matriculation board exams include:

  • A Rainy Day
  • Technical Education
  • My House
  • Sports and Games
  • Health is Wealth

Few tips to enhance your essay writing:

  • Attract the readers through an interesting title
  • Make your essays simple and easy to understand
  • Do not fall for complex sentences
  • Quotations make the draft look more interesting
  • Draft a rough draft to make the essay an organized way
  • Have a grip on grammar to avoid mistakes that might distract the reader’s attention

Grammar is the main component of English subjects. Grammar helps to form various structural sentences for different types of writing. With a grip on grammar, students can ace their essay writing, stories, and various others. The English paper includes some questions regarding grammatical errors in which the students have to identify the correct grammatical approach.

A story is usually written to entertain or to convey a point. It is mainly a narration of real or imaginary events providing some sort of a moral lesson. A story is shorter as compared to essay writing. Story writing helps enhance your thinking and creative ability. Some common moral lesson stories for 10th grade are:

  • No Pain, No Gain
  • Honesty is the best policy
  • A friend in need is a friend indeed
  • Haste makes waste
  • Kindness is a Virtue
  • All that glitter is not Gold
