How to find AIOU Assignments – AIOU Question Paper Download

Allama Iqbal Open University offers assignments based semesters for distance learning. Students have to download the AIOU assignment question paper and complete the given tasks. The task includes questions related to topics given in the textbook. Students have to submit this assignment to their respective teachers.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD AIOU ASSIGNMENTS QUESTION PAPERS?

If you want to download the AIOU assignments question papers, then follow these steps:

• Visit the Official website of  Allama Iqbal Open University .
• Move to the Examination section and click the Assignments (Question Papers) link.

• Now move to your Semester and Year. (Example Spring 2022 OR Autumn 2022).
• Select your Degree Program from the list and click it.

• You will be redirected to a new page like the one shown below.
• Now, in the list, search for your course codes. (What are my courses codes?) You can find your course codes on the LMS portal along with Tutor names. See  how to find tutor information and course codes .

• Find your course codes one by one and click the download icon in front of the course code.
• A new PDF or DOC file will open. Click on the download icon if the download doesn’t start automatically.
• The downloaded file can be found in the ‘downloads’ folder of your mobile or computer.

For making assignments, students also need to add an assignment covering form with the assignment file. Here is the procedure to download the covering form of assignments.

• Move to the examination section.
• Click Assignment QP.
• Move to your Spring/Autumn 2022 Semester section.

Attaching a covering form with your assignment is a requirement for assignment submission. Any assignment without a covering form may get rejected by the Tutor. So make sure to download and attach the covering form with your assignments.

Preparation for code number 1423 English-I is one of the main headaches for the students. The paper has eight questions . The paper pattern consists of the questions of a letter (formal/informal), conversation, suggestions/questions, writing a paragraph, essay, and tenses ( active/passive voice, sentences , etc). We'll cover all these important questions with their preparation materials in this blog.

Spring Past Papers

Autumn past papers, spring model papers, assignments for code 1423, essay and article writing, letter writing, dialog between people, grammar and tenses (active and passive voice).

To succeed and pass the exam easily we'll take you through the general category of each question and important topics for every question. Before you know the paper pattern, you can browse through the previous papers for the past examinations in the next section.

English-I (Code 1423) Papers

In my opinion, past papers are a big resource for the preparation of the subject when it comes to the minimal time for the preparation. Not only preparation, but previous exam papers also give you a sketch and paper pattern. Due to the semester system of the AIOU past papers are categorized into the spring and autumn sections.

We are also preparing model papers for the AIOU subjects. These model papers are based on important book questions instead of past papers. So, take them as important questions for preparation.

Previous and current semester assignments are great resources for the preparation of the final term exam.

Paper Pattern

So far we've been talking about the preparation materials like past papers, model papers, and assignments. If you've gone through all those above resources, you must have an idea of the pattern of the paper. But, here in this section, we'll go through every type of question in depth.

The main difference between the essay and article is that; essay consists of heading and sub-headings while the article does not.

The essays in general are of the length 200-300 words with the given choice to the students. Usually, there are 4 topics to choose from. You can choose any of the topics you feel comfortable with and write a full essay with headings and sub-headings .

Generally, essays can be categorized as follow:

• A trip to a place/city
• Advantages or disadvantages of a thing/life
• Essay on health, sport

Letters are of two types; formal and informal. Formal letters include letters to the organizations and institutes while informal letters are the ones written to friends, parents, and relatives.

Letter layouts are very important . I highly suggest you go through layouts (commas, breaks, etc) to get easy marks.

Letters can be broadly categorized as follow:

• Letter to your father (tell about your studies, asking him for a fee, etc)
• Writing to a friend (lending, thanking, or wishing him/her)
• Letter to close relatives like a sister, brother, etc

This is a real scenario-based question where students are asked to write the conversation between two friends, brothers, or two entities.

The real hack to this question can be the similar starting and ending of a conversation/dialog. The starting of a conversation between two people will always stay the same (with Salam and respect). Similarly, the ending of a conversation will also be similar no matter what topic students are asked to write on.

Grammar is an important part of the paper. Students don't need to use mind-blowing and difficult vocabulary but they need to use precise and grammatically correct sentences.

The test for the understanding of 'tenses' and grammar is done through the following type of questions:

• Write synonyms of the word
• Correct use of a word in a sentence
• Conversion of active voice to passive voice
• Correction of the verbs in sentences

How to submit AIOU Assignments?

Well, now in this 2002 Allama Iqbal Open University has provided two options to submit their assignments. Either you can use AIOU LMS (Agahi Portal) to submit your assignments or you can send your assignments to your Tutor.

So, first of check your Updated AIOU Tutor Letter record from here.

And, just send these assignments in an envalope at your Tutor Address.

And, the second option is to scan your hand-written assignments to soft-form and upload them on AIOU LMS (Agahi Portal).

Keep remembered that the maximum size for one assignment to upload is 5 MB and only PDF or DOCX files are permitted.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How much assignments marks are added in final result.

It is mandatory for every student to submit the assignments and get passing marks in Assignments. In the final result, 70% Marks are counted from your Final Exams and 30% Marks are counted from your Assignments.

What if I do not submit Assignments?

If you do not submit your assignments or you are failed to get passing marks in assignments then in your result Re-Appear will be written. This means that you have to take the exams again and have to submit your assignments again.

Is it necessary to submit Assignments to Allama Iqbal Open University- AIOU?

Yes, It is necessary to submit AIOU Assignments to your tutor else you will be considered to fail in your final result. You will also get failed in your final results if you are unable to get passing marks in your assignments. Your AOU Tutor marks your assignments in the same way as your papers are checked in the annual examination.

Submission of AIOU Assignment

Submission of Assignments, twice in a semester is mandatory for every student. A student can upload both assignments at the same time or might be one by one, depending on the ease of the student. Assignments provide valuable knowledge and also help to dive into the depth of the topic through proper research. It should be noted that assignments must be without plagiarism or copy-paste content. AIOU Assignment Books

Books play a very significant role in passing the assignment. Sometimes it is very difficult for the student to collect data from the internet, due to limitations of specific material.  Hence, AIOU Books for assignments help to identify a clear roadmap for writing answers of 5 given questions. AIOU Assignment Cover Page

It is the first page of the assignment, usually known as the cover page. There are a few blank rows in it. Candidates have to fill in the student section only. These are the following things which are required:

AIOU Assignment Passing Marks

There are overall 2 assignments for each subject, containing 200 Marks. Passing marks are 100 out of 200, which means 50 marks for each assignment. Now there are also three possibilities:

• First, a student is considered to fail if he/she is unable to submit an assignment on time.
• Second, a student is also considered to fail if he/she submitted the assignments on time but is unable to pass a written examination of the subject. 70% marks weightage is for the final exam result. 30% marks are for the assignments.
• Thirdly, workshops and quizzes are also mandatory for passing, because 5 out of 6 classes of workshops are compulsory to attend. 

AIOU Assignment Format

There are a total of 5 questions in each assignment. 5 out of 5 are necessary to solve to get good marks, around 80-95. Structure the AIOU Assignment in a sequence. First of all, create a cover page, and write all the necessary courses and personal details. The cover page is also known as AIOU Assignment First Page. Then write the first question in bold letters with font 16. Research its answer, and write it in a well-organized pattern. In the same way, write all 5 answers to the given question. 

In conclusion, the Assignments are very helpful in scoring excellent marks in the AIOU Final Result . If you are able to obtain 160-180 marks in the assignment, you will be able to gain 24-26 marks out of 30 in the final numbers. Hence, it is proved that the AIOU assignment format is also very important and very effective in acquiring valuable marks for the finals.

To solve this issue, the open university launched the AIOU Assignment Submission system through AAGHI LMS portal.

If you don’t know how to send assignments online to your teacher then don’t worry, here we will provide you step by step guide.

By using the AAGHI LMS portal the student can easily submit their assignment to the relative teacher for free. You don’t need to physically visit the tutor’s home address.

AIOU Assignment Submission Portal 2024

AIOU LMS is a learning management system that gives control to the student to manage their notes, take lectures, send assignments, take workshops and download papers, etc. The portal is very helpful and candidates of Matriculation, FA, FSC, ICS, ICOM, DCOM, BA, BSC, BED, MA, MED, MSC, PHIL, and Ph.D. students can use it for free.

1.   Through Your LMS Portal:

This is the right and authentic online method to submit your assignments. How so? Let’s discuss this. You can get the result of your assignment side by side as soon as your subject teacher checks you’re that particular subject assignment. On the other hand, you can wait for months to get your assignment result until your final result publishes on the official website of Allama Iqbal Open University.

2.   Through Post Office:

You can also send your assignments to your teachers through the post office. This is a recommended method. Because in this, you can get a receipt after sending your assignment. In case if your assignment will be missing at least you have a receipt for proof.

How to get the assignment result in this situation? You can easily get your assignment result by calling or messaging to our subject teacher, or you may receive your assignment result on the website with your final result. But in the second option, you need to wait for a while until your final result publishes on website.

3.   By Hand:

Third, the last option is to by hand submit your assignment. This method is not authentic because in case if your assignment will be missing you will have no proof for that. Ultimately you are considered absent or your marks will be zero in that particular assignment.

How to Submit AIOU Assignment Online?

It is important to remember university change the system of uploading assignments. The open university removes the individual assignment upload option from the AAGHI portal. Now you need to log in using the Microsoft Team creditals for taking both workshops and submit the assignment. 

• Visit the official  AAGHI AIOU portal  website.
• Scroll down and click on the login button in the Online Workshops + Assignment Submission box.
• If you didn’t find it, you can also directly click on the  AIOU LMS web portal .
• Enter your username and password to login into the dashboard.
• Click on the My Courses link from the top menu and select the course code that you want to upload the assignment.
• Now click on the Assignment 1 or 2 links.
• After that, click on the “Add Submission” button.
• Here you simply drag and drop your assignment file into the box. Or you can also upload it by clicking on the file icon.
• Finally, click on the save changes button and your assignment will be forwarded to your teacher.

Note: Make sure to include your name, phone number, subject code, and address on the assignment. Remember, after uploading the assignment you can’t change it so make sure you upload the correct file.

Aaghi.aiou.edu.pk Login Assignment

The AAGHI portal is the main student portal where they can access their workshop, and face-to-face program and joins Microsoft Team for classes. By using this portal the student can also submit their assignment online.

The user simply needs to login into their Microsoft team app on their desktop or mobile device and then go to the assignment section to submit the assignment.
