Saving Sharks from the Extinction Essay

Sharks are vibrant apex predators, which are generally important in the maritime lifecycle. However, the larger ones are worn-out quicker than they are expected to breed. In fact, this portends the dependability of aquatic ecosystem around the globe.

It is zealous having sharks given that for more than forty million years, they have been necessary for the well-being of the sphere, surroundings, and have fashioned the maritime as well as oceanic lifestyles. Moreover, sharks have both natured and nurtured the continued existence of human race in the long run.

Thus, it is significant for the marshals to guard and secure the naval areas to uncover the abuse and intervene to discontinue the vicious killing of sharks. Sharks continuously rambled marine from the periods when dinosaurs were known to be the most exhilarating water animals.

However, their extensive reign at the zenith of the oceanic food chains might be culminating with time as the species become gradually extinct. The population of sharks for the last sixty-one years has dwindled considerably due to the inception of industrialized fishing. It is indeed imperative to save sharks from the extinction threats that make thirty percent (30.0%) of sharks and other rare species more susceptible to killing for commercial purposes.

This dream can only be realized through the support of International Nature Conservation Union . The commercialization or consumption of shark fin has resulted into a tremendous toll on sharks’ killers as they reduce sharks populace. Shark finning entails an act of fishing the shark, cutting off the fins, and disposing the body remains in the deep-sea.

While running and maintaining worldwide shark fin trade, approximately seventy four million sharks are primarily slayed per annum. For instance, shark fin soup is cherished in the lieu of the Asian delicacy. Generally, over a long period of time and in their entire lifespan, sharks reproduce very few young ones, propagate slowly, and take time to reach maturity stage.

Hence, it is ideal to stop killing sharks given that it exposes them to a state of sluggish recovery from depletion, and extinction besides making the species susceptible to overexploitation. The entire shape of deep-sea ecology faces jeopardy from the diminution of sharks, which are the main predators.

An essential habitat often becomes vanished provided the tiger sharks are killed for broth such that they cannot control their preys’ foraging. In fact, the tiger sharks are interrelated to the eminence of the oceanic lawn beds. Thus, the despair is evident through their kill, green sea turtles, and dugongs, which feed on these seabeds.

Shark slaughter must be stopped if we want to survive, otherwise, the marine will not be able to conserve the healthy steadiness of the oceanic life expectancy. Furthermore, there will be no more shark fin soup, and the disappearance of other seafood species will emerge globally.

To boost the existence of sharks, we should be jointly cautious about the killing and consumption of shark fin broths. Definitely, the flavor of shark fin is no longer shark, but it is typically poultry soup. Nonetheless, the elevated levels of nourishment ingredients are not contained in the shark fin.

Even though the consumption of shark fin broth is perceived to have some customary value attachment, it is not indispensable. We should think about consuming the simulated shark fin if we constantly desire to consume shark fin soup. This follows the fact that different groups get worried distinguishing the dissimilarity from truth as soups are reasonably priced.

The appreciated principles of customary approaches to life are moderation and balance. Hence, we should take decorum and pride in augmenting our ecosystem’s stability via deciding not to devour sharks. In conclusion, in the present-day, it is a critical for us to reverse the universal deterioration of shark populace.

We have to work jointly to inspire the accord associations and fishing states to direct and manage soaring aquatic fisheries. Besides, we ought to campaign for transnational shark preservation and proclaim shark scenery reserves in kingdoms whose static waters have sundry shark population. Surely, sharks are endangered species across the globe.

Are you learning Urdu and need to write your first essay in the Urdu language? It won’t be as easy as ABC because you must do much research to complete a high-quality paper. Urdu refers to rare languages and has distinctive features and peculiarities. More and more students decide to contact professional academic writers at essay writing services not to fail and submit a flawless essay in Urdu. Want to write an insightful essay that will be evaluated positively? You’ve come to the right place. Here is a collection of expert writing tips from SmartWritingService that will make the essay writing process easier and more effective.

Choose the Topic You Know the Best

First, choose the topic you can reveal in the Urdu language. If you are a beginner, you shouldn’t pick complex topics. It will be hard to discuss them, and you won’t be able to give information on all the topic issues. Don’t choose too broad or too narrow topics. Brainstorm ideas on the topics you are interested in and feel passionate about discussing. Ensure you know all the necessary Urdu words and terms to discuss the chosen subject.

Conduct Research and Analysis

The second thing you need to do is to search for credible sources of information. You need to use only educational websites and electronic libraries with trusted sources. Don’t use any facts or data until you make sure all the information is true. You can use books, articles from newspapers, and web sources. The more sources you use, the better. Collect all the information on the topic you can find and analyze what pieces of information are valuable for your essay.

Write a Detailed Essay Outline

Now you have a topic and enough material to get started. Make an essay outline to have a clear picture of how to structure your essay paper. Using a good outline you won’t miss any important ideas on the subject.

Divide Your Content into 3 Parts

Your essay should consist of 3 parts: an introduction, the main body, and the conclusion. You should start with an engaging opening paragraph. The main key to success is to include interesting facts or a story about your topic. You should structure your essay, so the content is easy to perceive and understand. There is a wealth of literature in Urdu. This is the literature of Indian Muslims that dates back to the 13th century. Until the beginning of the 19th century, it was represented mainly by lyric poetry on religious-philosophical themes and was strongly influenced by Persian poetry. It’s a good idea to include poetry in your essay. Find several lines that reflect on your essay topic and use them at the beginning of your essay paper.

Write a short introduction to attract the reader’s attention and proceed to the main part of the essay. Here, you need to discuss all the key issues, give arguments for each of the discussion points, and start any new idea from the new paragraph. Finally, conclude your Urdu essay with several sentences that will make it clear to the reader why he/she has spent time learning the topic. Write about the possibility of further research on the topic. The conclusion should be brief, clear, and concise.

Pay a Special Attention to Grammar in Urdu

The grammar of Urdu is generally similar to that of Hindi; however, due to the cultural separation of Muslims from Hindus, Urdu has incorporated some elements characteristic of the grammar of Arabic and Persian.

  • Nouns, pronouns, and verbs change in numbers (singular and plural) and cases (direct, indirect, vocative), verbs, some adjectives, and nouns also in gender (masculine and feminine). Some postpositions also vary in gender and number.
  • Urdu pronouns are classified into several groups of meanings. Urdu has no negative pronouns; instead, negative constructions with indefinite pronouns are used. By the nature of the changes and functions in the sentence, pronouns are divided into pronouns-nouns, pronouns-adjectives, and pronouns-numerals. There are several types of participles in Urdu. The participles combine verbal and nominal signs. Foreign language (Arabic, Persian) participles in Urdu are used as ordinary adjectives.
  • There are several types of verb tenses in Urdu. In terms of the present, there are two kinds, in terms of the past – three, and in terms of the future, the kind can both be expressed (in three forms) and remain unexpressed. Most tenses are formed by creating a nominal predicate from a participle and an auxiliary verb. The imperative mood has several forms, which differ in the degree of politeness. Also, in Urdu, there are “intensive verbs” – combinations of the stem of a verb with one of the 12 service verbs. As a result of this combination, the main verb receives a refined shade of its meaning. Intensive verbs are usually not recorded in dictionaries, they are not separate verbs, and in each particular case, they are formed directly in speech.

Proofread and edit the essay, if necessary. Make sure it doesn’t contain grammar errors, and that the whole essay sounds logical. If you lack essay writing skills or knowledge of the Urdu language, don’t hesitate to ask custom writers to check your paper and make it error-free. Experienced writers will provide a high-quality essay sample on the necessary topic to get inspired and learn how to express your thoughts in Urdu.

Essay on Quaid e Azam in Urdu

(Conclusion)

Allama Iqbal was a philosopher, poet, and politician in British India who is widely regarded as having inspired the Pakistan Movement. He is considered one of the most important figures in Urdu literature, with literary work in both the Urdu and Persian languages. Iqbal is known for his poems, which are written primarily in Persian, that discuss themes of spiritual awakening, the nature of God, and the role of Muslims in the world. He is also known for his political activism, particularly his support for the creation of a separate Muslim state in the northwest of British India. Iqbal was born in Sialkot, in the Punjab region of British India, in 1877, and studied at some of the most prestigious universities in British India and Europe. He was a member of the All India Muslim League, and his ideas and writings continue to influence political and religious thought in South Asia and beyond.

Allama Iqbal was never formally titled “Sir”. The title “Sir” is typically used as a honorific for knights in the British honours system, or for other individuals who have been knighted by the British monarch. As far as I know, Iqbal was never knighted and therefore never held the title of “Sir”. Iqbal was a philosopher, poet, and politician in British India, and he was known for his political activism and his poetry, but he was not a knight and did not hold the title of “Sir”.

It is not clear how many sisters Allama Iqbal had. Iqbal was born into a family of nine siblings, but the exact number and genders of his siblings is not known. Some sources indicate that Iqbal had four brothers and four sisters, while others suggest that he had three brothers and five sisters. Without more specific information, it is difficult to say for certain how many sisters Iqbal had.

Allama Iqbal was born in Sialkot, in the Punjab region of British India, in 1877. Sialkot is a city in the northeast of modern-day Pakistan, near the border with India. Iqbal’s family was part of the Kāshmirī Pundit community, a Hindu minority group that had converted to Islam several generations before Iqbal’s birth. Iqbal grew up in Sialkot and studied at some of the city’s most prestigious schools, before going on to study at universities in Lahore, Cambridge, and Munich. He returned to Sialkot after completing his studies and spent much of his life there, before moving to Lahore in the 1930s.

It is not clear on which day Allama Iqbal was born. Iqbal was born in 1877 in Sialkot, in the Punjab region of British India. While the exact date of his birth is not known, it is generally accepted that he was born in November of that year. Some sources indicate that he was born on November 9, while others suggest that he was born on November 11. Without more specific information, it is difficult to say for certain on which day Iqbal was born.

It is not clear whether Allama Iqbal drank alcohol or not. There is no mention of alcohol consumption in his biographies or personal writings, and it is not considered to be a part of his personal or religious beliefs. Iqbal was a devout Muslim, and as such, he would have been expected to follow the Islamic prohibition on the consumption of alcohol. However, without concrete evidence one way or the other, it is difficult to say for certain whether he drank alcohol or not.

If you are interested in learning more about the Urdu poetry of Allama Iqbal, there are several resources that you can use. One option is to look for books or articles that provide analysis and explanation of Iqbal’s poetry. You may be able to find these at a local library or bookstore, or you can search for them online. These can be a good source of information and can provide insight into the meaning and significance of his work. You may also be able to find recordings or videos of Iqbal’s poetry being recited, which can provide a deeper understanding of his work.

Allama Iqbal is revered in Pakistan as its national poet. So many schools, public institutions and even a province are named after him. But the information about his life is scarce. Few people are aware that allama iqbal was born in 1877 at Sialkot, in a house on a hill overlooking the city. The house is now a school called ‘Allama Iqbal Academy’ but the house holds very few memories of the poet.

Bombay heart, Urdu ink: A guide to reading Saadat Hasan Manto

One and only.

In 1948, Urdu writer Saadat Hasan Manto boarded a ship from Bombay (now Mumbai) for the newly created nation of Pakistan.

His wife and daughters had already relocated, but in an essay written years later, Manto would recall that his decision to leave his favourite city behind had been sudden, provoked by the simmering tensions between Hindus and Muslims in the wake of the Indian subcontinent’s Partition.

Manto would never return to the country of his birth, but on his death in Lahore in 1955 at the young age of 43, he had left behind a body of work that unflinchingly captured the horror and madness of that defining period, establishing his legacy as a bold chronicler of the Partition era.

In a rare instance of a writer getting his due on India’s silver screen, Manto’s life has inspired a new biopic, directed by Nandita Das, which opens in cinemas today (Sept. 21). Coming a few years after a Pakistani film on him, Das’s movie is an opportunity to rediscover the master storyteller who’s been compared to Guy de Maupassant, Anton Chekhov, and even F Scott Fitzgerald.

Manto was born in what is now the Indian state of Punjab on May 11, 1912, to a middle-class Kashmiri family. A disinterested student and college drop-out, he started out translating Russian and French literature into Urdu at the urging of a friend, who eventually convinced him to start writing his own stories. Later, Manto would work as an underpaid film journalist and screenwriter in Bombay, where he lived until Partition tore India apart.

In his over 250 stories, plays, and essays, though, Manto captured much more than the violence of 1947. He wrote frankly about sex and desire, prostitutes and alcoholics, drawing protests from conservative critics who labelled his work pornographic. He was tried for obscenity several times, and six of his stories were banned, the first three in colonial-era India, and the rest in Pakistan. But decades later, these stories would be among those that established his reputation as one of India and Pakistan’s greatest writers.

Wondering where to start with Manto? Here’s Quartz’s handy guide:

Manto on Bombay

Manto arrived in Bombay in 1936 to work for the film weekly Mussawar , and the city quickly became what he described as his “second home,” a place he would write about in countless stories and long for after he moved to Pakistan.

“That piece of land had offered shelter to a family reject and it had said to me, ‘You can be happy here on two pennies a day or on ten thousand rupees a day, if you wish,” he wrote in a letter to readers, published in the appendix of a short-story collection in 1952.

Life in Bombay wasn’t easy as Manto started out on a salary of Rs40 a month and often had to sleep in the office. Even when he began working for the film industry, money was scarce, and as he describes in the endearing essay  The Story of my Wedding ( published in Why I Write , edited and translated by Aakar Patel )  it took all kinds of luck to make things work in the maximum city. But after he moved to Lahore, his nostalgia for Bombay inspired some of his best stories, which he set in a city peopled by prostitutes and pimps, aspiring actors, and migrant workers.

For a trip back to an unfiltered Bombay seen through Manto’s eyes, start with  Bombay Stories .

Manto on Bollywood

The film industry was a big part of Manto’s life in Bombay, and he would even write several successful movies while working for Filmistan, a company set up by friends he had made at the famous Bombay Talkies.

The film world also features in  Bombay Stories , but some of his most fascinating pieces about the industry were non-fiction. In the gossipy collection  Stars from Another Sky , translated by Khalid Hasan, Manto takes the reader behind-the-scenes with some of the biggest names in 1940s Hindi cinema, including Ashok Kumar and Nargis, and captures a time now long gone in Bombay.

The most poignant piece of them all is titled  Shyam: Krishna’s Flute.  It was written after the tragic death of Manto’s close friend , an actor whose grand romances, heavy drinking, and various highjinks are fondly remembered. The story also captures the mounting communal tensions in post-independence Bombay, and the sudden spark that prompts Manto to quit the city, and India, for good.

Manto on Partition

Manto’s brilliant and best-known short story,  Toba Tek Singh,  in which the Hindu and Muslim inmates of a lunatic asylum contend with the Partition of India, is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his incisive writing on the events of 1947. In numerous other stories, he would capture the chaos that reigned at the time, but it’s his brief sketches, first published as  Siyah Hashye,  that are particularly haunting. Some are just a paragraph long, but the looting, rape, and murder they reveal are all the more horrifying because they are told in such spare sentences.

In the introduction to Bitter Fruit: The Very Best of Saadat Hasan Manto , which includes the sketches, editor and translator Khalid Hasan writes that Manto chose not to identify the characters in them by their religion to emphasise that murder was murder, regardless of who committed it.

“If a man killed, it did not matter whether he killed in the name of gods or for the glory of his country or his way of life. To Manto, he was a killer. In his book, nothing could justify inhumanity, cruelty or the taking of life,” Hasan writes.

Manto on Pakistan

Years after leaving Bombay, Manto would write  (paywall) that “Despite trying, I could not separate India from Pakistan, and Pakistan from India.” To compound the problem, his financial situation in Lahore was especially precarious as he got hardly any work and was unofficially banned from writing for the radio, the main means by which other writers made money.

Nostalgic for Bombay and hurtling towards the alcoholism that would eventually lead to his death, Manto still managed to write some of the most memorable stories of his career in Pakistan. But at this time, between 1951 and 1954, he also wrote a series of comic “ Letters to Uncle Sam ,” in one of which he somehow managed to predict the future of Pakistan, suggesting that the US “will definitely make a military aid pact with Pakistan because you are really worried about the integrity of this largest Islamic sultanate of the world and why not, as our mullahs are the best antidote to Russia’s communism.”

And in the provocative satirical essay God is Gracious in Pakistan , collected in  Why I Write,  he painted an alarming picture of the country that Pakistan could become, a country in which poetry, music, and art were increasingly censored on the grounds of blasphemy. In this, too, he proved to be remarkably prophetic.

Sun: Short Essay on Sun

An Essay on Allama Iqbal in Urdu

The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam

Allama Iqbal Essay in English

Allama Iqbal , distinguished not only as a remarkable poet but also as a philosopher and politician, played a pivotal role in the inception of Pakistan. Born on November 9, 1877 , in Sialkot, Punjab, British India, he hailed from Kashmiri Brahmin ancestors who embraced Islam in the 17th century . Proficient in Arabic, Persian, and Urdu, Iqbal received his education from his family, a local madrasa, the Scottish Mission School , and the Government College Lahore, earning his B.A . and M.A. degrees in philosophy.

Enriching his knowledge in Europe, Iqbal explored Western philosophy and literature, obtaining another B.A. degree from Trinity College, Cambridge, and a law degree from Lincoln’s Inn in England. He furthered his academic pursuits with a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Munich in Germany, focusing on “The Development of Metaphysics in Persia.” Returning to Lahore in 1908, he engaged in roles as a lawyer, teacher, and writer.

Iqbal’s poetic prowess extended to both Urdu and Persian languages, with his verses standing as exemplary works of the 20th century. Through his poetry, he articulated a cultural and political ideal for the Muslims of the British Raj. Regarded as the poet-philosopher of the East, he addressed the Muslim ummah, inspiring a revival of their faith, identity, and self-respect. Recognized as the spiritual father of Pakistan, Iqbal proposed the concept of a separate homeland for Indian Muslims in his renowned Allahabad Address in 1930.

Among his notable works are “Asrar-e-Khudi” (The Secrets of the Self), “Rumuz-e-Bekhudi” (The Secrets of Selflessness), “Payam-e-Mashriq” (The Message of the East), “Zabur-e-Ajam” (The Persian Psalms), “Javed Nama” (The Book of Javed), “Bang-e-Dara” (The Call of the Marching Bell), “Bal-e-Jibril” (The Wings of Gabriel), “Zarb-e-Kalim” (The Rod of Moses), and “Armaghan-e-Hijaz” (The Gift of Hijaz). Additionally, he delivered six lectures on “The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam,” later published in English.

Iqbal was more than a poet; he was also a thinker and a reformer. He called for the revival of Islamic thought and culture in the modern world. He criticized the stagnation and decay of the Muslim civilization and urged them to adopt rationality, creativity, and dynamism. He also stressed on the concept of khudi, or selfhood, which means to discover one’s hidden potential and achieve excellence through love and devotion to God. He believed that khudi is the source of all power and freedom for an individual and a nation.

Iqbal passed away on 21 April 1938 in Lahore after a long illness. He was buried near the Badshahi Mosque in a tomb that is visited by millions of his fans every year. He is widely honored and celebrated as a national poet and a hero in Pakistan and other Muslim countries. His poetry has been translated into many languages and has influenced many poets, writers, scholars, and leaders across the world. He is also remembered for his patriotic song Sare Jahan se Achha (Better than the Whole World), which is still popular among Indians.

Allama Iqbal was an amazing person who left a lasting impact on the history and culture of South Asia. He was a man of vision, wisdom, and courage who awakened the Muslims from their slumber and gave them a new direction and hope. He was a true representative of the East who enriched both Urdu and Persian literature with his sublime and profound poetry. He was a genius who combined art and message in his works and created a unique style that is admired by all. He was Allama Iqbal, the pride of Pakistan and the glory of Islam.
