२) मोर हा शांतता आणि सौंदर्य यांचे प्रतिक आहे तसेच तो भारतीय संस्कृतीमध्ये फार पूर्वीपासून अस्तित्वात आहे.

३) त्यामुळे २६ जानेवारी १९६३ रोजी भारत सरकार द्वारे मोर हा भारताचा राष्ट्रीय पक्षी म्हणून घोषित करण्यात आले.

४) मोर हा पक्षी सर्व पक्षात खूपच सुंदर आहे त्यामुळे त्याला पक्षांचा राजा असे देखील म्हटले जाते.

५) मोर हा नर पक्षी आहे. मोराच्या मादेला ‘ लांडोर ‘ असे म्हटले जाते.

६) मोराचे आयुष्य जवळपास २० ते २५ वर्षांचे असते आणि त्याचे वजन ३ ते ५ किलोच्या दरम्यान असते.

६) मोर हा पक्षी भारतभर जवळपास सर्वत्र आढळून येतो. हा पक्षी बहुदा दऱ्या खोऱ्याचा परिसर, नदीकाठी दाट झाडीत, आणि राना वणात आढळून येतो.

मला पक्षी खूप आवडतात. मला रानावनात हिंडून विविध पक्षी पाहणे आणि त्यांच्या सानिध्यात राहणे खूपच जास्त आवडते. मी उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्टीत आमच्या गावाकडे गेल्यानंतर दररोज शेतात जाण्याचा दिनक्रम ठरवतो. शेतात गेल्यानंतर मी रानावनात राहणाऱ्या पक्ष्यांसाठी पाणी आणि अन्न याची व्यवस्था करतो. त्यासाठी मी पाण्याने भरलेले डबके झाडाच्या फांदीला अडकवून ठेवतो आणि झाडाच्या बुंध्यावर अन्न ठेवतो.

तसे तर मला सर्वच पक्षी आवडतात. पण मोर हा पक्षी मला सर्वाधिक जास्त आवडतो. मोर हा पक्षी मला आवडण्याचे कारण म्हणजे त्याचा रंगीबेरंगी पिसारा. मोराचा विविध रंग छटाणी नटलेला पिसारा मला खूपच मोहक वाटतो. मी सुट्टीत गावाकडे शेतात गेल्यानंतर रानावनात हिंडून मोराचे पीस गोळा करणे हा माझा नेहमीचा उपक्रम असे. मी हे मोराचे पीस गोळा करून माझ्याकडे संग्रहित करून ठेवतो.

मोराच्या पाठीवर मोराचा सुंदर पिसारा असतो त्यात १०० – १५० मोराचे पीस असतात. मोराचे हे पीस हळूहळू गळायला लागतात व त्याच बरोबर मोराला नवीन पीस देखील फुटत असतात. मोराच्या पिसाच्या टोकाला डोळ्यासारखा आकार असतो. त्याच्या आजू बाजूचा परिसर काळया, निळ्या, पिवळ्या आणि सोनेरी रंग छटानी नटलेला असतो.

त्याचा हा पिसारा फुल्यानंतर तर आणखीनच उठून दिसतो. मोर पावसाळा ऋतूमध्ये नृत्य करतात. मृग नक्षत्राच्या पावसाच्या वेळी मोर पिसारा फुलवून नृत्य करतात. त्यांच्या या नृत्याला ‘ मयुरनृत्य ‘ असे म्हटले जाते. मोर ना हा प्रसंग खूपच सुंदर डोळ्यात साठवून ठेवावा असा असतो.

मोराच्या डोक्यावर सुंदर तुरा असतो. हा तुरा देखील मोराच्या सुंदरतेत भर पाडतो. मोराची मान उंच आणि लांब लचक असते आणि ती निळ्या रंगाची असते. त्यामुळे मोराला ‘ नीलकंठ ‘ असे देखील म्हणतात.

संपूर्ण मोर जरी सुंदर आणि मोहक असला तरी त्याचे पाय मात्र कुरूप असतात. पण त्याचे कुरूप दिसणारे हे पायच त्याला अनेक संकटातून वाचवतात.

मोर हा बहुदा जमिनीवर राहणारा पक्षी आहे. त्याला पंख जरी असले तरी उंच आकाशात भरारी घेऊ शकत नाही. त्याचे वजन आणि मोठा आकार यामुळे तो फक्त काही अंतर उंच उडू शकतो. तो इतर प्रण्याप्रमाने हवेत तरंगत देखील राहू शकत नाही. त्यामुळे मोर हे बहुदा रानावनात हिंडताना च दिसून येतात.

मोर हा हवेत केवळ २० ते २५ फूट उंच उडू शकतो. तो त्याच्या शत्रू पक्षी आणि प्राण्यांपासून वाचण्यासाठी उंच झाडावर निवास करतो.

मोर हा माझा आवडता पक्षी आहे. मला मोर हा पक्षी खूप खुप आवडतो. मोर हा पक्षी भारत देशाचा राष्ट्रीय पक्षी देखील आहे. मोर हा पक्षी त्याचे सुंदर आणि मोहक सौंदर्यासाठी जगभर प्रसिद्ध आहे. मोर हा भारताप्रमाणेच म्यानमार देशाचा देखील राष्ट्रीय पक्षी आहे.

मोर हा मोर, मयुर, नीलकंठ, सारंग, शिखी यासारख्या अनेक नावाने ओळखला जातो. मोराला इंग्रजी मध्ये peacock असे म्हणतात तर त्याला संस्कृतमध्ये ‘ मयुर ‘ असे नाव आहे. हा पक्षी संपूर्ण भारतभर आढळून येतो. मोर हा पक्षी मुख्यतः नदी खोऱ्याच्या क्षेत्रात आणि रानावनात आढळून येतो. तसेच भारताबाहेर देखील म्यानमार, पाकिस्तान, नेपाळ आणि भूतान यासरख्या देशात देखील मोर हा पक्षी आढळून येतो. काही देशात पांढरा रंगाचे मोर देखील आढळतात आणि ती मोराची फारच दुर्मिळ प्रजाती आहे.

मोर हा पक्षी मूळचा भारताचाच आहे. प्राचीन भारतीय संस्कृतीमध्ये देखील मोराचे अस्तित्व आढळून येते. पूर्वी अनेक राजांच्या काळातील नाण्यावर मोराचे चित्र दिसून येथे. तसेच मुघल बादशहा शहाजहान देखील मोर पिसंपासून तयार करण्यात आलेल्या राजसिंहासनावर बसायचा. विद्येची देवता असणारी सरस्वती माता आणि भगवान गणेश चा भ्राता कार्तिक यांचे वाहन देखील मयुर म्हणजे मोराच आहे.

मोरांचा पिसारा आणि त्याचा डोक्यावर असणारा तुरा मोराची शोभा वाढवतो. ज्याप्रमाणे कोंबड्याच्या डोक्यावर तुरा असतो त्याचप्रमाणे मोराच्या डोक्यावर देखील तुरा असतो. पण मोराचा तुरा हा नाजुक आणि अतिशय सुंदर असतो.

हिंदू संस्कृतीमध्ये मोराच्या पिसाला खूप जास्त महत्व आहे. मोराचे पिस पवित्र मानले जाते त्यामुळे ते अनेकवेळा देवघरात ठेवले जाते. काही लोकांना मोरपीस खुप आवडते त्यामुळे काही जण ते पुस्तकात ठेवणे देखील पसंद करतात. पूर्वी मोरपिसाची वापर लिखाण करण्यासाठी केला जायचा.

मोर हा पक्ष्यांचा राजा म्हणून ओळखला जातो. मी पहिल्यांदा मोर शाळेत असताना पहिला होता. मी इयत्ता सातवी मध्ये असताना आमच्या शाळेची सहल रायगड जल्ह्यामधील कर्नाळा पक्षी अभयारण्य पाहण्यासाठी गेली होती. त्यावेळी आम्ही सर्वांनी एका गाडीमध्ये बसून कर्नाळा पक्षी अभयारण्य पाहिले होते.

त्यावेळी आमच्या सोबत एक टुरिस्ट गाईड देखील होता. जो की आम्हाला अभयारण्यातील प्रत्येक पक्षी आणि प्राण्याबद्दल माहिती देत होता. त्यावेळेस सायंकाळी अभयारण्यातून बाहेर पडते वेळेस आम्ही एक मोरांचा गट पहिला. त्यातील एक मोर सायंकाळच्या वेळी पसारा फुलवून खूपच सुंदर नृत्य करत होता. तो प्रसंग पाहून मन खूपच उल्हासत झाले.

बघता क्षणी तो क्षण माझ्या डोळ्यात साठवून गेला. आजही तो मोराचा नृत्य आठवला की संपूर्ण प्रसंग माझ्या डोळ्या समोर येतो आणि मन अगदी प्रसन्न होऊन जाते. आम्हाला गाईड कडून माहिती मिळाली की असे मोराचे नृत्य पावसाळा ऋतूमध्ये खूप पाहायला मिळतात, इतर ऋतूमध्ये असे क्षण क्वचितच पाहायला मिळतात. मोर मादीला उल्हासित करण्यासाठी अशा प्रकारचा नृत्य करत असतात.

मोर हा राष्ट्रीय पक्षी असल्याने त्याच्या संरक्षणासाठी भारत सरकारने अनेक निर्बंध लादले आहेत. मोराला मारणे कायद्याने गुन्हा आहे, असे केले तर जेलमध्ये देखील जावे लागू शकते. तसेच एक भारतीय नागरिक या नात्याने आपल्या राष्ट्रीय पक्षी मोराचे संरक्षण करणे हे आपले कर्तव्य आहे.

मी पहिल्यांदा पाहिलेला मोर मला अजूनही आठवतो. मला नृत्य करणारा मोर पाहायला खूप खूप आवडतो.

मित्रांनो शाळेच्या परीक्षेत निबंध हा एक महत्वाचा भाग असतो, प्रत्येक परीक्षेत कुठल्याना कुठल्या विषयावर निबंध लिहिण्यासाठी सांगतात, शाळेत असतांना परीक्षेतच काय तर कुठल्या हि स्पर्धेमध्ये निबंध स्पर्धा हि असतेच, हीच गोष्ट लक्षात ठेवून आम्ही आज आमच्या या लेखात “माझा आवडता पक्षी: मोर” या विषयावर निबंध घेऊन आलो, चला तर पाहूया.

नाच रे मोरा आंब्याच्या बनात नाच रे मोरा नाच……..

सर्वांनी ही कविता नक्कीच ऐकली किंवा गायली असेल. मोर एक छान, सुंदर, आणि आकर्षक पक्षी. सुबक आकार, रंगबेरंगी पिसारा, डौलात चालणारा हा पक्षी. शिवाय आपल्या ग्रंथ आणि पुराणांमध्येदेखील मोराचा उल्लेख आहे. माता सरस्वती आणि शिवपुत्र कार्तिकस्वामी यांचे वाहन म्हणजे मोर. भगवान श्रीकृष्ण यांचे डोक्यावर नेहमी मोरपंख दिसते.

मला मोर आवडतो या मागे अनेक कारणे आहेत. सर्वात प्रथम म्हणजे त्याचा रंग. गर्द निळ्या रंगाची त्याची मान, हिरवा आणि अनके रंगांनी सजलेले त्याचे पंख आणि विशेष आकर्षण म्हणजे त्याचा पिसारा आणि डोक्यावरील तुरा तसेच पिसाऱ्यावरील छान डोळे.

हा मोर जेव्हा गाणे गातो तेव्हा त्याचा आवाज खूप मनमोहक वाटतो. त्याच्या या गाण्याला ‘केकावली’ असे म्हणतात. एकंदरीत काय तर कितीही वर्णन केले तरी संपणार नाही असा एकमेव पक्षी म्हणजे मोर.

जेव्हा आकाशात ढग दाटून येतात आणि पाऊस पडण्याचे संकेत मिळतात, त्यावेळी मोर आपला पूर्ण पिसारा फुलवून छान नृत्य सादर करतो. यावेळी हा नजारा बघण्यासाठी खरोखरच नशीब असावं लागतं. मोर आपला पिसारा फुलवून मादीला म्हणजेच ‘लांडोर’ला आपल्याकडे आकर्षित करत असतो. लांडोरला मोरासारखा आकर्षक पिसारा नसतो. तसेच लांडोरचा रंग मातकट असतो.

मोर हा लहान-सहन किडे, कीटक, धान्य आणि फळ वगैरे खातो. इतर प्राणी आहे पक्षांपासून आपले रक्षण करण्यासाठी तो नेहमी उंच झाडावर राहणे पसंत करतो. तो जास्त वेळ उडू शकत नाही. परंतु जेव्हा धावण्याचा प्रश्न येतो तेव्हा तो खूप जलद गतीने धावतो.

मोर हा सहसा गट करून राहतो. या गटामध्ये एक नर तर ३ किंवा ४ मादी असू शकतात. शेतीचे नुकसान करणारे किट मोर खातो त्यामुळे त्याला शेतकऱ्याचा मित्र देखील म्हणतात.

दरवर्षी मोराला नवीन पंख येतात. त्यामुळे अगोदरचे पंख गळून पडतात. या पंखांचा उपयोग अनेक सजावटीच्या वस्तू तयार करण्यासाठी केला जातो. या पंखांपासून हातपंखे तयार करण्यात येतात. पंचकर्म क्रियांमध्ये मोरपंखांचा उपयोग केला जातो. असं म्हणतात कि पुस्तकात किंवा वहीमध्ये हे पंख ठेवल्याने सरस्वती माता प्रसन्न होते.

मोरपंख एवढे आकर्षक आहेत कि स्वतः मुघल बादशहा शाहजहान यांना देखील या पंखांचा मोह आवरला नाही. त्यांनी देखील स्वतः साठी मोराच्या पंखासारखे दिसणारे मयूरासन बनवून घेतले होते.

मोर हा भारतातील जवळपास सर्वच राज्यांत पाहायला मिळतो. मोर हा विशेषतः जंगलांमध्ये किंवा आरक्षित वनांमध्ये पाहायला मिळतो. पूर्वी सर्वत्र अगदी सहजपणे वावरणारे मोर आज पाहायला मिळत नाहीत. यामागचे कारण म्हणजे शिकार. काही मांसाहारी लोक केवळ आपली भूक क्षमविण्याकरिता पक्षांची शिकार करतात. त्यामुळे आज मोरांची प्रजाती विलुप्त होण्याच्या मार्गावर आहे.

या आकर्षक पक्षाची दाखल भारत सरकारने देखील घेतली. मोराची अप्रतिम सुंदरता आणि त्याचे धार्मिक तसेच सांस्कृतिक महत्व लक्षात घेता १९६३ सालापासून मोर हा भारताचा राष्ट्रीय पक्षी म्हणून घोषित करण्यात आला. त्यानंतर मोरांच्या विलुप्त होत चाललेल्या प्रजातीचे संरक्षण व्हावे म्हणून १९७२ साली ‘मोर संरक्षण कायदा’ संपूर्ण देशभर लागू करण्यात आला. संपूर्ण भारतात मोराच्या शिकारीवर बंधन आहे.

तर अशाप्रकारे, सांस्कृतिक आणि राष्ट्रीय महत्व मोराला देण्यात आलेले आहे. दिसायला सुंदर, आकर्षक आणि मनमोहक प्राणी जर कुणाला आवडत नसेल तर नवलचं!

निसर्गामध्ये विविध पक्षी बघायला मिळतात त्यातील काही पक्षी दिसायला अतिशय कुरूप तर काही पक्षी आहे खूप सुंदर असतात. विविध रंगाच्या आणि विविध आकाराचे हे पक्षी निसर्गाची शोभा वाढवित असतात. मला रंग खूप आवडतात. सर्वच रंग एकत्र पहायचेयचा असेल तर एक इंद्रधनुष्य पाहावा आणि दुसरा म्हणजे मोर.

विविध रंगांच्या पिसांनी सौंदर्यपूर्ण असलेला हा मोर पक्षी माझा आवडता पक्षी आहे. मोराच्या सुंदर ते मुळे माझा आवडता पक्षी मोर आहे.

मोराला इंग्रजीत पिकॉक ( Peacock ) म्हणतेत. तर शास्त्रीय भाषेत पावो क्रिस्टेटस (Pavo cristatus) असे म्हणतात.

मोर पाहताच माझे मन अगदी आनंदित होते.आणि लहानपणीची ती बाल कविता “नाच रे मोरा” मला आठवायला लागते. मोराचा तो हिरव्या निळ्या रंगाचा पिसारा आणि डोक्यावर असलेला तुरा सार्वांनाच मोराच्या प्रेमात पाडतो. मोर हा पक्षी घनदाट जंगलाच्या ठिकाणी आणि शेतीच्या आजूबाजूच्या परिसरात आढळतो.

मोराची लांबी साधारणता ‌200 ते 250सेंटीमीटर असते. तर मोराचे वजन हे पाच ते सहा किलोपर्यंत भरते. मोर पक्षाच्या मादीला लांडोर असे म्हणतात. मोराला पाऊस खूप आवडतो म्हणून रिमझिम पावसाच्या वेळी मोर नेहमी नसताना दिसतो.

आणि पावसाच्या वेळी मोर आपला पूर्णता पिसारा फुलवून नाचतो. यावेळी मोराचे सौंदर्य बघण्यासारखे असते. मोर आपला पिसारा फुलवून लांडोर पक्षाला आपल्याकडे आकर्षित करतो.

मोर पक्षी भारतात सर्वत्र आढळतो. सोबतच ऑस्ट्रेलिया, श्रीलंका, नेपाळ, भूतान, ब्बंगलादेश अशा देशात सुद्धा आढळतात. मोर दिसायला जेवढा सुंदर आहे तितकाच त्याचा आवाज सुद्धा सुंदर आहे. मोर म्याव ssम्यावss अश्या आवाजात ओरडतो . मोराच्या सुंदर दिसण्या मुळे काहीजण मोराला पाळण्याचा विचार करतात. परंतु भारतात मोराला पाळणे हे कायद्यानुसार गुन्हा आहे.

मोर किडे ,साप, उंदीर ,आळ्या यांना खाद्य म्हणून खातो. म्हणून मोराला शेतकऱ्याचा मित्र असे म्हणतात. त्यासोबतच मोर धान्य,बिया, शिजवलेले अन्न हेसुद्धा खातात. विविध फळेसुद्धा मोर खातात.

मोर नेहमी झाडावर समूहाने राहतात, मोरला जास्त उंचावर उडता येत नाही. त्यामुळे मोर नेहमी झाडावर किंवा जमिनीवर आढळतात. मोर ला प्राचीन काळापासूनच खूप महत्त्वाचे स्थान आहे कारण मोर माता सरस्वती चे आणि कार्तिक देवाचे वाहन आहे .

तसचं मोराच पिस हे भगवान श्रीकृष्णाच्या डोक्यावरती पहायला मिळते. त्यामुळे काहीजण मोराची देव समजून पूजा सुद्धा करतात. मोराचे सुंदर रूप आणि रंग पाहून मोराला पैठणी या मराठी महावस्त्रावर स्थान देण्यात आले आहे. प्राचीन काळात सुद्धा मोराची काही छायाचित्रे आढळली आहेत.

या सर्व कारणांमुळे मोराला भारत देशाचा ” राष्ट्रीय पक्षी ” म्हणून मान मिळाला आहे.

तसेच सम्राट अशोक यांच्या नानांवर मोरा चे छायाचित्र आढळले. पूर्वीचे राजा महाराजे यांच्या राजवाड्यात मोर पाहायला मिळत. पूर्वीचे राजे हे मोराचे छायाचित्रास असलेल्या सिंहासनावर बसत.

आजच्या काळातील सिनेमांमध्ये मोर वरती  काही गाणे काढण्यात आलेली आहेत. मोराला नेहमीच बहुरंगी आणि आनंदाचे प्रतीक मानले जाते. त्यामुळेच आपल्या भारतीय संस्कृती मध्ये मोराला खूप महत्त्वाचे स्थान आहे.

मोराचे मोरपीस हे सर्वांनाच आवडते. त्यामुळे मोरा लहानांपासून मोठ्यापर्यंत सर्वांचा आवडता पक्षी आहे. चित्रकारांचे पहिले चित्र हे मोराचे च असते. कारण मोराचे रूप पाहून सगळेजण मोहित  होतात.

अशाप्रकारे सर्व दृष्टीने सुंदर असणारा हा मोर माझा आवडता पक्षी आहे. परंतु अलीकडे होणाऱ्या मोराचा शिकारी मुळे मोरांची संख्या कमी होत आहे. आदिवासी लोक मोरांची शिकार करून त्यांचे मांस खातात. तसंच आणि कडे वाढते प्रदूषण आणि वृक्षतोड यामुळे मोराच्या प्रजाती नष्ट होण्याच्या मार्गावर आलेत.

मोर नेहमी झाडावरच राहतो मग झाडांची संख्या कमी झाल्यानंतर मोराने राहायचे कुठे?

मोर हा  सगळ्या पक्षांची शान आणि आपल्या देशाचे सुद्धा शान आहे. त्यामुळे मोराच्या संरक्षणाची जबाबदारी आपल्या सर्वांची आहे. सामान्यता सर्वांनाच मोर हा पक्षी आवडतो.करण मोराचे रूप हे सर्वांनाच आकर्षित करते.

त्यामुळे माझा आवडता पक्षी मोर आहे.

Peacock Information in Marathi आपल्या सर्वांना माहीतच आहे कि मोर हा आपल्या देशाचा राष्ट्रीय पक्षी आहे आणि मोर असतो. या पक्ष्याचा रंग निळा आणि हिरवट रंगाचा असतो, मान लांब, डोक्यावर तुरा, लांब आणि मोहक पिसारा असे या पक्ष्याचे वर्णन आहे. मोर त्याचा पिसारा फुलवून पावसामध्ये नृत्य करतात (काही लोक असे म्हणतात कि त्याच्या साथीदाराला आकर्षित करण्यासाठी पिसारा फुलवून नृत्य करतो) आणि हा त्याचा फुललेला पिसारा पाहून मन अगदी प्रसन्न होते. प्राचीन काळापासून मोराने आपल्या तोऱ्याने आणि सुंदरतेने अनेक कवींचे, योध्यांचे आणि देवांची माणे सुध्दा आकर्षित केली आहेत. मोर हा पक्षी फॅजिअॅनिडी या कुळातील असून या पक्ष्याच्या ३ जाती आहेत.

मोर कुठे व कसे राहतात ( habitat ).

मोर हा पक्षी थव्यामध्ये राहतो त्यामध्ये एक मोर आणि तीन ते चार लांडोरी असतात. मोर हा पक्षी पानझडीच्या जंगलामध्ये किवा शेतामध्ये पाहायला मिळतात आणि या पक्ष्यांचे निवास स्थान नदी किवा ओढ्याच्या किनारी असते. मोर हा पक्षी रात्री झाडावर झोपतो.

मोर हा सर्वभक्षी पक्षी आहे आणि या पक्ष्याला धान्य, कीटक, साप, सरडे, झाडाची कोवळी पणे या प्रकारचे अन्न खाण्यासाठी लागते.

मोर या पक्ष्याचे 3 प्रकार ( types of peacock bird )

मोर या पक्ष्याचे मुख्यता प्रकार आहेत ते म्हणजे आणि ते म्हणजे इंडियन पींफॉल, ग्रीन पींफॉल आणि कांगो पींफॉल

1.इंडियन पींफॉल मोर ( indian peafowl peacock )

इंडियन पींफॉल या मोराला सामान्य मोर किवा निळ्या रंगाचा मोर म्हणूनही ओळखले जाते. इंडियन पींफॉल मोर हा भारतीय उपखंडातील मुळची जात आहे. या प्रकारचा मोर आपल्याला भारतामध्ये सगळीकडे पाहायला मिळतो आणि या जातीचा मोर हा भारताचा राष्ट्रीय पक्षी आहे. त्याचबरोबर या जातीचा मोर श्रीलंका, दक्षिण आशिया आणि पाकीस्थान मध्येही आढळतो. या पक्ष्याचा रंग निळा आणि हिरवट रंगाचा असतो, मान लांब, डोक्यावर तुरा, लांब आणि मोहक पिसारा असे या पक्ष्याचे वर्णन आहे या पक्ष्याच्या पिसाऱ्याने अर्धे शरीर झाकलेले असते. मोर त्याचा पिसारा फुलवून पावसामध्ये नृत्य करतात. नर आणि मादी हि दिसायला वेगवेगळे असल्यामुळे यांना ओळखणे खूप सोपे असते.

2.कांगो पींफॉल मोर ( congo peafowl peacock )

कांगो पींफॉल मोर या मोराला आफ्रिकन पींफॉल या नावानेही ओळखले जाते. या जातीच्या मोराचे शास्त्रीय नाव आफ्रोपावो कॉन्गेन्सीस असे आहे. हा एक मोठ्या आकाराचा मोर आहे तसेच या पक्ष्याचे पंख हे हिरवे आणि व्हायलेट रंगाचे असतात आणि या मोराची मान लाल रंगाची असते, राखाडी पाय, १४ पंख असलेली एक काळी शेपूट आणि मुकुट उभ्या पांढऱ्या लांबलचक केसासारख्या पंखांनी सुशोभित केलेला असतो, हिरव्या रंगाची पाठ, तपकिरी रंगाची छाती, काळ्या रंगाचे उदर असे या पक्ष्याचे वर्णन आहे.

3.ग्रीन पींफॉल मोर ( green peafowl peacock )

ग्रीन पींफॉल मोर हे उष्णकटिबंधिय प्रदेशमध्ये राहणे पसंत करतात आणि या प्रकारचे मोर हे दक्षिण आशियामध्ये मोठ्या प्रमाणात आढळतात. या प्रकाचे मोर हे धोक्यात आले आहेत या प्रकारच्या मोरांची संख्या खूप कमी झाली आहे आणि हे आययुसीएन च्या रेड लिस्ट मध्ये आहेत. हे मोर देखील इंडियन पींफॉल मोरासारखे दिसायला असतात पण या मोरांचा रंग हिरवट असतो. या प्रकारचे मोरांमध्ये नर आणि मादी दिसायला एक सारखेच असतात.
