Park is a place where we can enjoy and have a good time with our family and friends. I visited a park with my family in the month of spring. It was a very pleasant day and I had lots of fun by playing near the seesaw.

While we were entering the park we were given pamphlets which contained information as to why this park was built and it was written that "This park is built in the memory of Mary who loved parks and greenery". Mary was the president's daughter. Then, later on, my best friend also joined me in the park and we played together many fun games and had a jovial time. My mum prepared delicious sandwiches, salads and fruit juices.

In the middle of the park, my friend Amy and I saw an arch which was decorated with carnations and creepers, it was looking extraordinary and we started taking pictures by standing near the arch. There was a beautiful pond nearby with ducks and frogs, it was a really beautiful scenery. The greenery in the park was very soothing to the eyes. We bought ice creams and popcorn to munch on. There was another large pond where we did boat riding, Amy and I were very excited to ride the boat. My family members also did boat riding which they enjoyed a lot. There were many beautiful flowers and plants in the park like roses, lilies, sunflowers, lotus, marigold, ferns etc.

Recently, I got a wonderful opportunity to get together with my high school friends and spent a great time with them in that water park, I hardly could have denied such an option and readily agreed. It was also a moment of nostalgia since these friends live far away without that old bonding. We arrived as one of our friends has already got our tickets. We opted for the rollercoaster ride, although it rose great fear and excitement in us. It was as majestic as it was fearful.

Once into it, we realized how beautiful the company was. We were thrilled with joy and enjoyed all the water rides with extreme fun. The summer heat no longer felt tormenting us as the mirth filled the air. After completing the rides we changed our dresses and quickly visited the dance p[platform. We enjoyed each other’s company and forgot the passage of time. Happiness, like bubbles, brewed up till we returned back and parted our ways.

Visiting a water park that day was not any show of our sophisticated taste. But it was god’s grace that all our long-lost friends got reunited. Those lost memories were once again relived and cherished as if it was anew. I still can feel the happiness of that day and will never forget this wonderful memory.

A park is a place where we can sit, walk or play with friends and family. There are a lot of plants and trees and the ground has grass all over. I visited the ‘Hathi Park’ in Lucknow in winter vacations.

It was a very big park and it also had different swings for children. On the entry gates, there was a big board hanging above. It was written on the board that the park was built in the memory of B.R. Ambedkar. There were a lot of people in the park.

Children were playing games and some people were there for a picnic. We carried Ball and Discus Throw with us. My parents sat on a bench and my brother and I went to play. We threw and caught the disc and after that, we played with the ball. We then asked our mother to take us on the Elephant Statue. We climbed the statue and we could see the entire park from there.

My father clicked many pictures of us. After that, we went on to the playground to enjoy the Swings. We swung on Sea-Saw and then I went to a Slide which is my favourite. We joined other children on Merry-go-round and laughed a lot. My parents then asked us to eat something and we went to the Food Stalls. We ate oodles and I had Chocolate Shake. After we were full, we all went for a walk.

There we saw many types of flowers there were Tulips, Daffodils and Roses of all colours. The wall was covered with Climbers and it looked beautiful. After coming back from the park, I told my mother how much I loved that park and she promised that she will me take me there again soon.

The Park is a vast and beautiful place. It is a place for both kids and adults to go during their leisure time and relax. They enjoy the time spending there. The Park generally has trees, plants, flowers, a play area, exercise area, yoga hall, etc…

Entering the Zoo:

We reached the gate of the zoo in a taxi around 10 am. One has to buy tickets to enter the zoo. A number of visitors were already standing in a queue before the ticket counter. We stood behind them, got our tickets and entered the big arena of the zoo.

Various Types of Birds and Animals:

Then, we came across a beautiful lake in which some water birds like ducks and swans were present. There were some migratory birds as well. But the owls were sitting with their eyes closed as if they were lost in deep thought. The chirping of the birds went on ringing deep in my heart. In their songs, I heard the voice of nature to which the whole universe surrendered. I felt that all was right with the world.

We visited the tigers, lions, zebras, giraffes, rhinos and elephants. Roars of the lions and the tigers were deafening. We found a tiger pacing restlessly with its bloodshot eyes. It was strongly built.

Then we came across a garden in which stags and deer were frisking about. These animals were very agile and beautiful.

Our next halt was at the aquarium section. There were fishes of many species and colours. To see them swimming to and fro in the water was really a rewarding experience. Just beside this enclosure, was the cage of a black bear. It attracted a mammoth gathering. The bear was playing many tricks that thrilled us. Some people offered it eatables which it gulped at once.

Leaving the Zoo:

At about 2 pm, feeling tired, we rested and relaxed on the grassy ground for half an hour. The fragrance of flowers coming from somewhere was really soothing. We again began to stroll around the zoo after having our lunch. We saw a variety of amphibians like crocodiles, snakes, frogs, and a variety of other creatures. Then we hired a boat and enjoyed a short pleasurable ride in the canal. It was around 5 pm when we came out of the zoo. We boarded a bus, casting our last and lingering look on the zoo.

Conclusion:

I reached home in a cheerful mood. This visit refreshed my mind and deepened my awareness of the animal world.

Moscow is the capital city of Russia, being the biggest country in the world expanding across the entirety of northern Asia and much of eastern Europe. Just as curious as I am, Russia has always been a place in my wish list and voila, here I am!

Upon arrival, I find this place to be in a different world in comparison to Europe. Why? Firstly, it gives me a sense of communism and people gives each other a serious expression that they tend to smile less with strangers. However, I knew their intent were actually friendly and helpful inside them. For instance, my first bus ride was scary as this lady with a serious face who came talking to me as if I did something wrong; but in fact, she was trying to tell me that there is a cool helicopter taking-off at the back of me view *what a relief*.

Do not underestimate Moscow geographically and ideally, you may need about 4 – 6 days (depending on the group size) in Moscow to really see what they are made of. This delay is due to landmark sizes (eg. Kremlin) that takes you long enough as a trip to visit. Also, language may be a barrier at times as not everyone speaks English.

PLACES TO VISIT AND THINGS TO DO IN MOSCOW

State historical museum & kazan cathedral.

The State Historical Museum and Kazan Cathedral are located just next to each other and they are the first few buildings you will walk-by upon getting into the Red Square! Crowded it is, isn’t it?

Tip: Be cautious of a group of people wearing royal-like costumes and they would approach to take pictures with you and after that, asks you for money. They may somehow start to demand RUB3,000 and if you ever fell for this trap, try to bargain to RUB500 – RUB1,000 rather than paying a hefty price. If you had a tripod, they may automatically stand at your tripod and take pictures of you which will cost you money too!

St. Basil’s Cathedral

This is it, one of the most important landmark in Moscow, has always been an iconic structure that most visitor are keen of visiting. Located inside the Red Square, it is no surprise that the St. Basil Cathedral is packed with visitors.

The interior is an eye-opener, similarly to any other cathedrals that are filled with many portraits in comparison to any other cathedrals in Europe. Some rooms within the St. Basil Cathedral doesn’t allow the use of cameras.

During my visit, I had to take my winter jacket off just to take really good pictures with it even with my sleeves off! Some others looked at me as if I am an insane man. Well, who cares? 🙂

Vladimir Lenin was a Russian communist revolutionary, politician, and a political theorist whom served as the head of government of Soviet Russia from year 1917 to 1924. Hence, you shall find Vladimir Lenin’s body being carefully preserved in the mausoleum and the purpose of this was to enable government officials or visitor to pay their respect to Vladimir Lenin.

Inside the mausoleum, using of cameras are strictly prohibited while the place was well-guarded and bag checking will be done at the front. You ought to keep silence too!

HOW DO I GET INTO THE KREMLIN?

Some may not know how to find the entrance to get into the Kremlin because the walls were long stretched and it’ll be a long walk before you find the door. Hence, you can find the entrance at the middle of the western Kremlin walls, along the Alexandrovsky (Alexander) garden. From there, you ought to buy your tickets from the ticketing counter before heading into the Kremlin!

I felt like an achievement unlocked having to visit the Kremlin as I was so curious of how it looks like in reality. Overall, it was an eye-opener though the museums (cathedrals) seems to be a bit ordinary but heck, I am in the Kremlin yo!

Thereafter, its remains were relocated next to the Kremlin walls to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the battle.

You may take a really good stroll within the Zaryadye Park and it was really breezy at night. If you’d keep an eye, there will be a platform that sticks out above the Moscow river where you could take really nice pictures of both river directions.

Tverskaya Street is the main street of Moscow and just like any main streets, you will have good accessibility to public transports (buses) and metro stations as well. I find everything in Russia to be really colourful, one of which is its buildings and interiors, same goes to Matroshka nesting dolls. Each time I look at Izmailovo Kremlin, it’ll remind me of the colours of St. Basil’s Cathedral.

Next to the Kremlin is where you could spend all your time exploring and buying local souvenirs from stall vendors and if you ever plan of buying them in bulk, you may need to plan your bargaining skills in advanced!

By far, I find everything here to be reasonably cheaper than anywhere else and it is a good place if you plan to buy souvenirs for your fellow friends and colleagues!

Prior to visiting the Tsvetnoy Central Market, it gives me an impression that this is another casual ordinary market where you could find cheap foods and souvenirs. However, it turned out to be a classy shopping mall and during my visit, most items were on sale due to Black Friday.

Arbat Street (Pedestrian Street)

Just like any pedestrian street, you will find a range of souvenir and boutique stores, as well as restaurants of different cuisines!

Moreover, Moscow’s Hard Rock cafe is also located in Arbat Street where you could grab its own “Moscow” merchandises as collections!

Just opposite to the Kremlin’s Armoury (exit area), you will see the Monument to Prince Vladimir in which the huge statue is in relevance to the deepening of Russian – Ukraine split.

Around the statue, you will also see huge pieces of artwork that are displayed on several buildings.

World Clock Fountain

No, I do not know much about the world clock fountain. Nevertheless, it is located on the roof area just opposite of the State Historical Museum.

Gorky Park is a central park in Moscow and you may spend a good walk at night while you could find fun activities to do (eg. ice-skating).

River Cruise with Flotilla Radisson Royal

If you’d have some spare time for the evening, you may take a river cruise along Moscow River. However, my experience cruising with Flotilla Radisson Royal was ordinary and nothing to shout about. Well, I could probably be bias as I had really great cruises elsewhere; like the ones in the fjords of Norway, or along the Danube River of Budapest in Hungary.

If you are cruising with Flotilla Radisson Royal, you ought to be seated in the dining area as you are not allowed to get on top of the cruise; which many other cruises in other countries allows you to do so. However, there are space available at the front that you could get out and take some pictures.

The river cruise costs RUB750 per adult and it cruises for about 2 hours. There is also a hired photographer that take photos of you; before you could choose to buy them for a fee. Also do take note of your point of departure as I get on-board the cruise from the Gorky Park.

The Sanduny Bath House is a cultural and architectural landmark in Moscow that was founded in year 1808. It follow the traditions whilst its interior were very historical. Bathing here costs you a lot of money but it outweighs a lifetime experience!

One of the best places I have ever eaten in Moscow is a meal in Lavkalavka restaurant. It was a hidden gem and every plate that were served to us were delicious.

Although it is a little bit more expensive dining-in, the experience were still great that I couldn’t get them out of my mind. The servers were actually friendly and helpful by walking you through the menu although the Russian themselves don’t really put a wide smile on their faces with strangers.

The service were top notch and there are several halls within (eg. Pharmacy Hall, Fireplace Hall, The Library and The Mezzanine, and The Summer Terrace) located within the mansion. Yes, dining-in can be really pricey but worth the try!

Shake Shack is actually an American chain serving burgers and fries where you don’t see them on Southeast Asia’s market. Hence I’d give it a go!

Overall, the burgers were average but I’d say that the cheese fries are superb.

RECOMMENDED MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION

You may forget travelling from one location to another, except they are close enough like landmarks in Red Square and its Kremlin.

With the Troika card (as mentioned in the typical costs section below), you may hop into buses as well if you find your metro station is located really far away. Weird thing that inside these buses are installed with a rail where you are only permitted to enter upon paying your fares.

Here is the catch: You may use 1 Troika card for 2 persons by tapping onto the tapper twice (one person at a time) but there will be a cooling down period of 3 minutes before you can get the 2nd person in. At this stage, the bus is actually moving to the next station and you will cause a congestion at the front while the passengers of the following station hops in.

To fix this, you can either get yourself (2nd person) stuck at the front until 3 minutes ends and thereafter, re-tap your card to get in. Otherwise, 2 persons goes in tightly by only tapping onto the tapper once.

This way, you’d save one person’s fare but it may not be a correct thing to do although I have seen some locals doing like this. Otherwise, you’d just get 2 Troika cards and avoid the embarrassment.

Visiting & Travelling with Metro

It was said that by touching them, it gives you good luck!

By far (till date), I find Stockholm and Moscow’s metro stations to have really beautiful interiors and worth to alight at every station just to see how it looks! However, Moscow’s metro stations gives a sense of communism and that was something different to keep your eyes open!

Nevertheless, its metro has a huge network and it expands throughout the city centre. You may visit Moscow Metro – Network Map for more information on its network map.

TYPICAL COSTS AND MONEY SAVING TIPS

Hostel prices.

Shared dorm rooms: Starts at RUB350 per pax/night, but RUB600 – 700 is average .

I am not too sure about hosteling in Moscow as the above gives you an insight of how much hosteling would have costs. Furthermore, prices may vary depending on your hostel’s location.

Hotel Prices

Hotel rooms: Starts about RUB700 per night but a room at a 3-star hotel could possibly be about RUB2,700 – RUB3,300 at average per night for 2 persons. During my time in Moscow, I have stayed in Legendary Hotel Sovietsky and this hotel was founded in year 1951, being a grandiose building in the style of the Soviet classicism. Typical restaurant: An average meal could cost about RUB500 – RUB800; and
Good restaurant: Could start as high as RUB1,200 – RUB2,000 for an average meal .

Transportation

Troika Card: You may get this card at the ticketing counter “Kacca” by making a refundable deposit of RUB50. With this, you can reload your Troika card with credits and a single ride will normally cost RUB28 per adult.

Tips: You may use 1 Troika card for 2 persons by tapping your card twice before getting in. Next, you should be able to estimate how many rides you will take and so you will not be overloading your Troika card with credits.

Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport to City Centre: You may take the Aeroexpress train from Sheremetyevo Airport to Moscow City Centre (Belorussky station) for RUB500 per adult/way + 1 bus/metro ride for RUB60 (optional). Here is how Aeroexpress train looks like:

The Aeroexpress train takes about 35 minutes journey ride and you may visit Aeroexpress Train – Timetable for more information on its timetable. I highly recommend taking the Aeroexpress train as it got to be one of the most convenient and fastest transport you can take to Msocow city centre.

Vilnius to Moscow (Aeroflot Airlines): If you happen to be travelling from the Baltic States (eg. Vilnius) to Moscow, you may take the Aeroflot Airlines as I booked mine for RUB6,838 per adult/way. Glad it includes check-in baggage as it is a full-service airline!

The flying time takes about 2 hours and 30minutes.

Fans of Taylor Swift often study up for a new album, revisiting the singer’s older works to prepare to analyze lyrics and song titles for secret messages and meanings .

“The Tortured Poets Department” is getting much the same treatment, and perhaps no group of listeners was better prepared than the students at Harvard University currently studying Ms. Swift’s works in an English class devoted entirely to the artist . The undergraduate course, “Taylor Swift and Her World,” is taught by Stephanie Burt, who has her students comparing Ms. Swift’s songs to works by poets and writers including Willa Cather, Samuel Taylor Coleridge and William Wordsworth.

On Thursday night, about 50 students from the class gathered in a lecture hall on campus to listen to Ms. Swift’s new album. Mary Pankowski, a 22-year-old senior studying history of art and architecture, wore a cream sweatshirt she bought at Ms. Swift’s Eras tour last year. The group made beaded friendship bracelets to celebrate the new album, she said.

When the clock struck midnight, the classroom erupted into applause, and the analysis began. First, the group listened through the album once without discussing, just taking it all in.

Certain lines, however, immediately caused a stir, said Samantha Wilhoit, a junior studying government — like a reference to the singer Charlie Puth and the scathing lyrics to the song “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” Ms. Wilhoit, 21, said.

A line from the song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” in which Ms. Swift sings, “I cry a lot but I am so productive,” also seemed to resonate, Ms. Wilhoit said, laughing.

A smaller group of students, including Ms. Pankowski, stuck it out until the early hours of the morning waiting to see if Ms. Swift would drop additional music. At 2 a.m., they were rewarded with an additional “volume” of 15 tracks called “The Anthology.” Ms. Pankowski said she didn’t go to sleep until hours later.

Speaking with The New York Times together on a video call Friday morning, several students from the class discussed their thoughts on the 31 new songs and brainstormed their final papers, which are due at the end of the month.

“The song ‘Clara Bow’ reminded me of ‘The Song of the Lark,’” Makenna Walko, 19, said, citing the Willa Cather novel that follows the career of an aspiring opera singer, Thea Kronborg. “She’s talking about a girl trying to make it out of her small town and trying to get to Manhattan, and what it’s like to have these big, musical dreams and try to pursue them,” she continued. “That’s a narrative that has shown up a lot in Taylor’s own life, over the course of her own career. In a lot of ways, it’s Taylor’s story, too.”

Lola DeAscentiis, a sophomore, zeroed in on the song “But Daddy I Love Him,” comparing it to the Sylvia Plath poem “Daddy.” She plans to explore the link in her final paper.

“I hesitate to say that the song was anywhere near the genius of Sylvia Plath — no offense to Taylor Swift — but I can definitely see some similarities in the themes, like sadness, depression and mental health,” Ms. DeAscentiis, 20, said. (Ms. DeAscentiis also drew a distinction between being a fan of Ms. Swift and being a devoted Swiftie. She said she identified as the former.)

“The way that Taylor overlays her relationship with the significant other that she’s talking about in the song with the relationship that she has with her father — I think that was very Plath,” she added.

Another student, Ana Paulina Serrano, echoed Ms. DeAscentiis, noting that the class had learned about the genre of confessional poetry. “Is Taylor considered a confessional poet?” Ms. Serrano, a 21-year-old junior majoring in neuroscience, asked the group on the call. In support of her own position, she offered as evidence Ms. Swift’s song “Mastermind,” a track off “Midnights,” in which Ms. Swift reveals herself to have calculated and plotted the outcome of a relationship.

“Sometimes she’s confessing things that we, like, already knew or assumed, but she often seems to feel this need to explicitly tell us,” Ms. Serrano added.

Isabel Levin, a 23-year-old senior studying integrative biology, said she thought Ms. Swift’s delivery on several tracks had a spoken-word quality. She wondered if maybe some of the lyrics had initially begun not as songs but as more traditional poems.

Ms. Swift has said she categorizes her songs by the type of pen she imagines using to write each. A “frivolous, carefree, bouncy” song is a glitter gel pen song, while a fountain pen song might be more “brutally honest,” according to Ms. Swift . Quill pen songs are “all old-fashioned, like you’re a 19th-century poet crafting your next sonnet by candlelight,” she explained during her acceptance speech as songwriter-artist of the decade at the Nashville Songwriter Awards in 2022.

“Underscoring NXP’s innovation and leadership in developing advanced RAIN RFID technologies, our UCODE DNA was chosen to be incorporated with the FEIG and ISBC implementation of the contactless identification system in the prestigious Moscow-City,” said Mahdi Mekic, marketing director for RAIN RFID with NXP Semiconductors. “This exciting project represents yet another successful deployment of NXP’s contactless portfolio, and showcases our continued ability to meet the high-security requirements of highly demanding applications without compromising user convenience.”

“UCODE DNA is considered the only identification technology to match the physical protection of a barrier with the cybersecurity necessary to truly protect entrances from unauthorized access,” said Manuel Haertlé, senior product manager for FEIG Electronic. “As a respected contactless payment technology company, FEIG applies security know-how from its payment terminals, which are fully certified according to the latest high-class security standards, into our RFID systems. FEIG vehicle access control RFID readers incorporate advanced secure key storage elements, supporting various methods for secure key injection.”

FEIG’s partner ISBC Group provided the knowledge and support for this successful implementation using FEIG’s long-range UHF RFID . The resulting system enables authorized vehicle entry into areas reserved for private residential use or corporate tenants, while also allowing availability of temporary, fee-based visitor parking. Thanks to the cryptographic authentication of UCODE DNA, both the tag and reader must go through an authentication procedure before the reader will validate the data from the tag, which is transmitted wirelessly. This level of authentication is typically used in the most secure data communication networks.

“The system’s two-step authentication means that only authorized equipment can handle the secure protocol and the data exchange with the UCODE DNA based tag. Without the required cryptographic secrets, other readers would query the tag in vain, because the tag’s response cannot be interpreted or understood,” said Andrey Krasovskiy, director of the RFID department at ISBC Group. “On top of this, each data exchange in the authentication process is unique, so even if a malicious actor were to intercept the communication, the transmission is only good for a single exchange and the tag’s unique identity is protected from cloning.”

Established in 1992 and still growing, Moscow-City is the revitalization and transformation of an industrial riverfront into a new, modern, vibrant and upscale business and residential district. A mix of residential, hotel, office, retail and entertainment facilities, it is located about four kilometers west of Red Square along the Moscow River. Twelve of the twenty-three planned facilities have already been completed, with seven currently under construction. Six skyscrapers in Moscow-City reach a height of at least 300 meters, including Europe’s tallest building, Federation Tower, which rises more than 100 stories.
