Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

Posted by Amazing Traveler | May 24, 2017 | America | 0 |

Majestic scenery, wilderness, and wildlife make up the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Millions of people travel to the United States to visit Yosemite National Park every year, but for me, it was more than just a national park, it was the most beautiful place I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Drenched in history, the Yosemite National Park was first discovered by Native Americans over 10,000 years ago, and we can thank President Abraham Lincoln who first signed a grant in 1864 to permanently protect the land. Yosemite was one of the first territories preserved for its scenic beauty, public use, and continued enjoyment.

The Yosemite National Park is renowned worldwide for being one of the most beautiful national parks to visit. It situate in Central Sierra Nevada of California, and 95% of the park officially class as wilderness (that is huge considering the entire park covers 1200 square miles)!

Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

I will never forget to look up to witness the most incredible, dramatic waterfalls pounding down from sheer cliff edges. Awe-inspiring granite cliffs and crystal clear streams surrounding me and putting the power of nature into perspective. If you have ever considered exploring the Yosemite National Park, please give yourself plenty of time to do so. A week was not long enough for me!

Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

Placing the enchanted landscapes to the side; my main inspiration to visit Yosemite stemmed from all the stories I had heard of wildlife living in peace and protection in their natural habitats. I had read about wild coyotes, black bears, mountain lions, river otters, pumas, panthers and over 200 species of birds circling the area! Of course, you are not guaranteed to see everything, but by giving myself a week there, I was able to see quite a lot.

Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

Useful & Interesting Fact!

According to various articles, there are approximately 400-500 black bears in Yosemite but it is important you know what to do should you ever come face-to-face with one of them. Yes, they are gorgeous to look at and watch (I had the pleasure of seeing four black bears during my time there) but, as you will be aware, they can be dangerous if you find yourself too close. Maybe easier said than done but try not to show fear if this happens. Stand your ground, raise your arms and make almighty loud noises!!! It says that bears will most likely be scared away.

Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

My top 5 things to do in Yosemite National Park:

Visit yosemite valley.

Described as the most stunning location in the whole of America, the Yosemite Valley is of course not to miss. It is seven miles long and less than a mile wide accommodating the Merced River which flows through it. Here I was lucky enough to witness how the deer and coyotes live; to say this was an enjoyable experience would be an understatement.

Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

Visit Yosemite Falls

It is the highest waterfall in the Yosemite National Park and the fifth-highest waterfall in the entire world. The impact of the water as it hits the base of the lower fall echoes through much of the valley and if you are lucky you will witness the most magical rainbow on a sunny day. It is a common sight for explorers!

Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

El Capitan Rock Climbing Mecca

Rising more than 3,000 feet straight up from the Yosemite Valley floor, this is said to be the single largest piece of granite in the world! This world-class destination for experienced climbers is a wonder to climb, and I loved every second of it.

Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

Yosemite Tunnel View

This iconic scene is one of the most stunning things I have ever seen. It allows the perfect balance of sights including El Capitan on the left, Half Dome in the center and Bridalveil Fall on the right! It’s one of the first views you will encounter upon entering the Yosemite Valley and will leave you speechless.

Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

Mariposa Grove

Just wow! Have you ever had the pleasure of seeing the majestic Redwood Trees? These are known to be the largest living thing in the world and can grow up to 85m in height. Visit the Mariposa Grove for a full dose of these enormous trees and the ‘Grizzly Giant’ which is believed to be over 2,700 years old.

Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

Are you an adventurer, an explorer of all things wild and beautiful? I sure am.

Hiking, backpacking, and skiing are all possible at this magnificent area of the world. I spent time indulging in the action packed sports activities such as snowboarding, white-water rafting, hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing the sheer cliff edges at the Yosemite National Park! The wilderness is a real escape from the stresses of modern day civilization, and you can rely on the bubbling natural hot springs to soothe your mind and energy. It is just my experience of this mind-blowing landscape; there is so much more fun to have.

Essay: Most Beautiful Place I Have Ever Seen

The Yosemite National Park is the most beautiful place I have ever seen, and I recommend it to you.

Describe A Place That You Have Visited And Particularly Liked.

You should say:

  • When you visited there
  • Who you went with
  • What was most memorable
  • And explain what you liked most about this place.

Sample Answer 1

Lately, I visited the Glacier National Park. The trip gave me immense pleasure after a long time period. This is one such area where nature has bestowed her exquisiteness to the mountains. The place is ideal for hiking and trekking. I consider myself fortunate that I got an opportunity to visit this place.

For long, I have been travelling to nearby places, sometimes alone, other times with my family. However, to the Glacier National Park, I visited alone. The area is rocky and filled with natural beauties. Thus, as per my perception, the best time to visit this park is during winter. This opinion may differ accordingly. I can guarantee that the best time is winter as I have visited this place in varying seasons but found the end of the year to be the perfect time. So, my last visit was somewhere in the middle of December.

To visit this place all alone, there were several reasons. I wanted to spend some quality time by myself. In my office, I had a massive workload. Being a professional in an IT agency, I had to work under stringent rules and regulations. Keeping all of this in mind, I was too exhausted to spend another week in the office. So, to rejuvenate myself, improve productivity and get back my strength, I decided to take a week off and travel.

As far as my experience is concerned, I found this place to be a naturally tranquil one. I found serenity by spending time in this place. The wilderness of the mountains simply flabbergasted me. The carved valleys and peaks were magnificent. Moreover, I had some good time hiking and riding on a boat. There were also camping services, but I was unable to avail them. Cycling was another adventurous activity I could find there. The night was bright and the million stars soothe your anxiety in no time.

I also liked the lakes and wide glaciers of the park. Out of all, I liked the mountain ranges the most as they were different from others that I have seen.

Sample Answer 2

India is an amazingly beautiful country. It is bounded by the Himalayan range in the north and is covered by the Arabian Sea in the west, the Bay of Bengal in the east and the Indian Ocean in the south. I have visited many places in India. I have always been a mountain person. On that note, I visited Sikkim last winter. It was a beautiful trip of 20 days. I don’t clearly remember the exact date, but it was in May, 2019.

The weather was very chilly there. I visited the place with my family, which includes my parents and my sister and it was a beautiful experience. I have realised that you can have the most adventurous and daring trip with your friends, but it’s a different kind of fun with your family. When you are out with your parents, you might not be allowed to do daring things like you can do with your friends but you can have a safe and beautiful trip. You can always notice a change in parents’ behaviour, especially when you are on vacation. Neither do they scold their children to be disciplined nor follow the house rules. They shed off their strict self and tend to become friends and enjoy the beauty of nature along with you. I had my sister, who was my best friend too. We were always together.

Visiting a mountain region in winter is a challenge. It was extremely cold and snowy everywhere. We were visiting the place for the second time. So we didn’t go sightseeing and stayed and visited the local places which we missed. It was as if the snow-capped mountains were calling us. We visited a village and decided to spend the entire afternoon with them. The people there were so humble. They offered us food. It was the most memorable incident there.

Sikkim is one of the smallest states of India, situated in the Northeastern part. Since my childhood, I was drawn towards mountains more than I was towards the sea. Mountains are always the most peaceful and calm place one can ever be, and I think it is the most attractive part. After we returned, we relived the old memories. I loved that place. We watched the photographs that we clicked. Those are the only memories we can ever get hold of.

Sample Answer 3

Although I am not a religious person, The Golden Temple has attracted me since I began to explore. I had expressed the wish of visiting the temple to my parents multiple times, but we could not plan a single trip to Amritsar due to my busy schedule. So, they decided to surprise me and fulfilled my wish by ending our Himachal Pradesh trip in Amritsar.

My parents, and rarely, some of my close friends, had been my constant travel companion and so, no one else could accompany me on one of my dream trips other than these special people of my life.

As usual, our Himachal trip was a huge success, but I was excited to go back home after the 20 days trip to celebrate my 25th birthday with my near and dear ones. Therefore, I was irked when we took a detour, which was already planned and I was unaware of. However, when we landed in Amritsar, I became ecstatic. As aforementioned, they had planned to make my birthday memorable by visiting the Golden Temple. Everything went as planned, and at the end of the day, seated by the Amrit Sarovar with my pillars by my side, brought happy tears to my eyes.

The Golden Temple or Harmandir Sahib is not only a pious place for the Sikhs but is also a symbol of brotherhood. It was first built by Guru Arjan, the fifth Sikh Guru, in 1604, while the foundation was laid by Mian Mir, a Muslim aesthetic from Lahore. It has faced defacement by various Afghan invaders and was finally rebuilt by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. This amalgamation of various cultures is respected and celebrated in the architecture and philosophy related to this monument. What I like the most about this place is that anybody, irrespective of their caste, religion, or race, is welcomed, offered food and can find solace without hindrance. For me, it is a symbol of humility, equality, and fraternity in a country that houses heterogeneous cultures and beliefs. This visit to one of my favourite places gave me the strength to fight all odds and calmed my anxieties.

IELTS Cue Card Sample Answer One: Describe a Place You Visited on Vacation

Today I would like to tell you about my trip to Manali. Everyone needs a break in this busy lifestyle. My cousins decided to go on a vacation to Manali. It was my and my sister’s choice as we always have been listening to the charms of Manali.

When did You Go There?

Luckily in the summer of 2019, our parents agreed to the vacation tour. Manali is a beautiful place and two years back we got this opportunity to visit there.

Where is It?

Manali is a high-altitude town in Northern Himachal Pradesh. The beauty, climate, and tradition of this town make it unique as one of the most wanted places to visit.

What did You do There?

My sister and I carefully planned our trip for 2 weeks so that we can enjoy this one at maximum potential. The day passed and the day of the trip arrived. We arrived at the railway station on time and boarded the train. We Indians have a special spot for the train and by travelling we generally choose the train for transportation.

Manali is a place where you can visit any time in the year but summer is usually regarded as the best time to visit. India is a tropical place and summers are sometimes unbearable. But parallel to summer heat prevailing in the country, this place has cool and relaxing weather for its tourists.

We reached Manali on time and directly went to our hotel as we were really tired from the journey and wanted to get rest. Rest was very important because the next day we were going to have an adventurous day.

The next day we decided to have a little adventure and then we reached Solang valley to try one of the most exciting adventurous sports, paragliding. Solang valley is famous for adventure sports and paragliding is the foremost activity opted by tourists.

The birds-eye view and the cold, chilly weather rushed our adrenaline, and yes this was the most memorable experience of my life. Afterwards, we decided to go trekking and camping.

We decided to trek from Solang valley to Beas Kund. We somehow knew that this was going to be the best part of the trip as we were going to do trekking and camping for 2 days. We went along the Beas river experiencing beautiful pine trees and rocky trails. At night we built our camps and cooked our meals. We danced and sang along the bonfire.

After reaching Beas Kund we were in awe to see the beauty. Yes, we were tired but this was a beautiful journey where the destination, as well as the journey, was equally beautiful and amazing.

After this, we reached our hotel and were completely out for one whole day. After an ample amount of rest, we resumed our trip and visited the Buddhist monastery of Gadhar Thekchhokling Gompa and also Himalayan Nyingmapa Gompa. We also visited Lord Narayan temple, Van Vihar, Museum of Himachal culture and folk art, Jayatsukh, and many more.

All we know about Manali and the love of tourist forest and after this visit I can completely agree to the praises of the tourists.

IELTS Cue Card Sample Answer Two: Describe a Place You Visited on Vacation

Today I would like to speak about my trip to Meghalaya. Usually, people visit North India but after my exams are over, I convinced my family to go to North-East India.

Once I read about Meghalaya and the best place to visit. I was completely mesmerized by the location and reviews of The tourist and therefore we decided to plan a trip to Meghalaya in February.

Meghalaya is a state of North East India. This state was made from carving two districts out of Assam.

First, we departed to Kolkata from my town, and then from there, we took our train to Guwahati.

After this, we booked a room in the hotel, and then early in the morning, we reached Shillong. The distance between Shillong and Guwahati is around 100 km.

We reached Shillong at 6 a.m. and checked in the rules while at the guest house. I have heard about this hotel in the same article I have read before the trip. The hotel was more like a homestay and also had a beautiful garden attached. After resting for 1 hour we ate our breakfast. We had delicious Puri bhaji and jalebi.

Then we decided to visit the famous elephant falls. It is one of the major tourist attractions in Shillong. This three-tier what to call got its name due to the presence of elephant-shaped Rock.

However in 1897 due to an earthquake, this got integrated and washed away. It is a perfect spot for photography and people around us were busy clicking photos and we’re excited to see the beauty and the calmness of the water.

After this, we went to Shillong peak. This is the highest point of Shillong at the height of around 1965 m above sea level. We were amazed to see the whole city from this breathtaking side. There were also telescopes available for bird watching. We spent over one hour here. Then we travel 23 km South to Shillong to view the sunset at Laitlum Canyon.

This is a beautiful secluded place and is a perfect time to spend your evening relaxing and view the side of nature. Also, it is the perfect destination to watch the sunset.

After this, we went to our hotel and enjoyed it and then went to bed to rest.

In the morning we decided to start our day with a beautiful sunrise view at Umiam lake. This lake is situated at a distance of 15 km north of Shillong. Our local guide has suggested we visit there to watch this nature treat.

I am a nature lover and hence we agreed to go there even though we have to wake up early. The lake was beautiful and mesmerizing. We also did boating and other water sports activities over there. Also had packed a little lunch and therefore we had a little peaceful picnic over there.

Then we visited the Don Bosco Museum. This museum represents the beautiful culture and tradition of Northern India. It is a clear insight into the daily routine of northeastern people. For example, we also visited Lady Hydari park, a Japanese-themed garden. Here we relax and enjoy strolling around for the staff. We also visited a museum and a mini zoo inside there.

During our trip we covered the tourist attractions of Shillong including Cherrapunji, seven sister falls, Ramkrishna mission, and many more.

IELTS Cue Card Sample Answer Three: Describe a Place You Visited on Vacation

Today I would like to talk about my recent visit to Jaipur.

Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan and last November I got the chance to visit this magnificent City.

Our family loves travelling and every year we go to some places and this year was their time to visit Western India. Rajasthan is a perfect place to visit to explore the rich and traditional culture of Rajput and others full stop. It is known for its historical forts, palaces, and of course the Thar desert.

Jaipur is the perfect choice for tourists to see a glimpse of all as you can find in this city different palaces, forts, and rich culture. And if you are a lover of architecture and culture like my parents it is a dream destination for you.

There on the day of our trip, we went to the railway station and bought it on a train for Lucknow and then to Jaipur. On the first day, we decided to visit the prime destination of the city, Ajmer fort. This beautiful and magnificent palace lies at the top of the Aravali hills for a stop. It is also known that it was built by Maharaja Mansingh, general of Akbar, a Mughal ruler. It was used as the main residence of the Rajput rulers.

We went to eat around 11 a.m. We were amazed by the aesthetic architecture. There were many magnification paintings on the wall of Rajput. My attention especially went to the beautiful red sandstone and marble works.

The fort was so huge that we did not get to know how four hours passed just to look around the fort. Then we visited Jaigarh fort which is around 900 meters far from Amber fort. It is located at the hilltop and you can take a glimpse of the whole city over hair fall stop. Here I got to know why Jaipur is called a pink city.

The next day we visited Hawa Mahal. It looked beautiful in person and in photographs. Then we visited City Palace which is also a museum for Rajput and Mughals belonging. Later we went to Jantar Mantar and Jaipur zoo.

The next day was the shopping day. Explore the bazaars of Jaipur. It was full of colourful small shops. We bought some colourful bangles, a pair of mojris, and imitation jewellery. Also, I got myself a beautiful Kurti of Rajasthani touch.

We also visited different public spaces such as Gem Palace, Ramgarh Lake, Sanganer, Sheesh Mahal, and many more.

I particularly enjoyed the popular cuisines of Rajasthan. This includes Dal Bati, Churma, Mawa kachori, Mirchi Vada and many more.

Today I would like to talk about my recent journey to Kerala. We went there in September 2019.

Kerala is the state of Southern India. It is famous for its tropical climate, spice tea and many more. Moreover, it is the state with the highest literacy rate.

On 15 September 2019 be boarded a flight and land the next day. On the flight, I read a magazine about Kerala. In it, I read about Kerala and how it is regarded as God’s own country.

This state lies between the water of the Arabian sea and the last of Western ghats. It is full of networks of rivers, lagoons, forests, wildlife backwaters, beaches, and many more.

We checked into a hotel and freshened up for an exciting day. It was a sunny day so we decided to visit Kovalam beach. We had a sweet time over there. We made sandcastles, played in the water and rested on the beach.

After this, we went straight to the hotel. There we got to know that a stage performance of Kerala folk dance is going to happen by eight o’clock. We ate our dinner and went down to see the performance. Hair we saw different graceful dancers performing Kathakali and other folk dances on soothing music.

The next day we went to Peerumedu hills. It is a lovely hill station of Kerala and a heaven for a nature lover. We started our track from Peerumedu to Kuttikanam. It was a small track of around 3 km but was full of beautiful and exciting scenes of tea plantation, pine forest, breathtaking views, and many more. The next day was a religious day and we went to explore 20 different temples. This includes Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, Chottanikkara temple, Thali temple, Tirunelveli, and many more.

The Place I Have Visited: Kyrgyzstan Essay

One of the most beautiful places I have visited is the country of Kyrgyzstan. It lies in a mountainous area with stunning landscapes and nature untouched by humanity’s footprint. Kyrgyzstan is one of the former Soviet republics, which declared its independence in 1991 and joined the CIS. The country is unique with its pristine nature and numerous biosphere reserves. Besides, the Kyrgyz culture represents the nomadic lifestyle and rich history of the people. Along with an authentic cultural experience, Kyrgyzstan offers a great backpacking adventure for those who pay a visit.

When I first saw the beauty of the country’s nature, I was genuinely impressed. The picturesque scenery made me feel like I found myself in a storybook or a fairy tale. The open space seems to have no limits and stretches as far as the eye can see. Many countries are known for their beautiful nature, but the experience in Kyrgyzstan is unlike any other. As Stamboulis (2018) stated, the country is not highly populated, and no strict regulations prevent locals and tourists from exploring the countryside in its beauty, which, nevertheless, is not harmful to the wildlife. In such conditions, nature is blooming, the air always smells fresh, and clear water runs in rivers and streams.

Kyrgyzstan is often referred to as the “Swiss Alps of Central Asia” because of its location. The country lies between the Tien-Shan and the Pamir-Alay mountain ranges and encompasses a variety of ecosystems, among which mountain glaciers and arid canyons, alpine pastures and valleys, lakes and rivers (Jenish, 2017). The continental climate adds up to the unique experience one can get in the country, as various activities are available in different seasons, from swimming and horse riding to snowboarding and skiing. Kyrgyzstan cannot be boring, because wildlife is abundant and worth sightseeing in the country.

Visiting Kyrgyzstan is like being alive a hundred years ago, living in a country that is pure and innocent. As I arrived in Kyrgyzstan, the atmosphere of people’s life there astonished me. Even though the country has become more progressive, some locals still practice a semi-nomadic lifestyle, allowing the tourists to learn about the Kyrgyz culture and traditions. Apart from hiking in the mountains, another remarkable experience was tasting beshbarmak, a dish made of meat and noodles. It is meant to be eaten with hands, without cutlery, to focus on the flavors. However, it is difficult to name just one notable thing about Kyrgyzstan, since many experiences come to my mind. During my trip, I saw ancient petroglyphs of an old civilization and the historical routes of the Great Silk Road, tasted blini (traditional pancakes), touched the waters of Lake Issyk-Kul, and got a chance to see the works of local artisans. The hospitality of the Kyrgyz people, direct descendants of Genghis Khan, to westerners made my experience unforgettable.

To sum up, Kyrgyzstan is a country of friendly people and beautiful views, attractive for tourists who want to expand their horizons and come into contact with nature. The Kyrgyz culture has developed over the centuries, but the influence of nomadic life can be tracked up to today. This feature makes the country a fascinating destination for people who like to learn something new about other nations. The country is highly underrated as a tourist landmark, but visiting it is a remarkable experience.

There are a lot of beautiful and wonderful places all over the world, and every living soul on this planet must have a place he/she would love to return to at least for a moment. And such places do differ with people; as for me, I am deeply keen of nature, mountains especially. The place that I was and am quite astounded with is located on the very border with Canada in the region of San Juan Islands, some 100 miles from Seattle, WA, and is called the Orcas Island. Quite interesting is the name of the island, and it actually stands for itself – there are a lot of orcas in the waters of Eastsound (I was lucky to come across couple of them while travelling with a ferry). When you come to the island, the first thing you notice is how green the whole place is. I mean, that part of the U.S is incredibly green comparing it to other states, but the Orcas Island does differ with its pure, rich with oxygen air, crystal blue (when it is not raining) sky, with view so picturesque you want to stay and never leave the place. The house we were staying in was located on the top of the hill at the very edge of the island, so, that when you look straight ahead, all of the neighbor islands become visible, with vast waters surrounding them, and stretching for miles. The whole island is full of tall pine trees that make the air so clean, you will think you have never truly breathed before. The island’s nature fully reveals itself early in the morning (especially during the sunrise); when you wake up and go outside, first thing you will see is fog, as it is quite foggy there. But later, as it starts to dissolve, the vast shapes of the nearby islands with their hilltops start to come into view; then whole islands become visible, with water all around them. At the daytime the temperature rises, and you might be able to enjoy the time being outside, if you are lucky enough not to get caught up in the rain. But we did actually catch the rain in one of days spent there, and quite frankly it was even more beautiful for me, as I just love to see Mother Nature in action. Sitting on the front porch, looking into the deep and watching the storm slowly coming towards you, with lightning and thunder seen and heard somewhere far, but so close, is an amazing feeling that leaves you breathless. During daytime it is quite nice to simply wander around the forest, and to be able to feel all the might of those huge old pine trees. Here and there you can see some animals that despite the disturbance carry on with their activities. In the evening, when the sun goes down another view becomes revealed, the view that can be seen only in the highlands or in the mountains. As this place is higher above the sea level than most of our cities, stars here are bigger and brighter, so that during a clear night you can take your sleeping bag, and watch this night theater till the morning comes. Such is my favorite and the most beautiful place and those days will stay in my memory for the time to come. And when I have a slight chance to go there, I use that chance, admiring the breathtaking beauty of the place as if for the first time.

The most amazing place I have ever visited Sri Lanka

Frequently I’m counting holidays in the calendar & planning outings because traveling is my favorite. During these outings, the most amazing place I have ever visited is The Sinharaja Rain forest. It is unique with the biodiversity as well as with a vast variety of flora and fauna.

This is Sri Lanka’s largest remaining tropical rain forest & a well known UNESCO World Heritage.

Camping in the woods for two-three days is really awesome. I have no words to express my love for this place.

Sinharaja_camping_site

How to enter the forest?

There are four main ways to enter the forest. One way is via Neluwa Kosmulla road. Another is via Deniyaya Pitadeniya road. also can enter via Weddagala Kudawa road. & Finally, the Rakwana Morning side which is known as the hardest way to enter. At the entrance have to buy the entrance tickets.

I have been to Sinharaja twice & my next trips will be entering the forest via Rakwana Morning side & Weddagala Kudawa roads.

We have to discover the forest on foot with the supervision of a guide. There are so many villas & beautiful cottages established near the forest border for accommodation & food.

what to see in the forest?

There are a variety of birds, bigger size squirrels, dusky-stripped jungle squirrels, badger mongooses and variety of monkeys & many more endemic spices & mammals can be seen.

What I love most are the fascinating waterfalls. Waterfall Hiking is superb through the narrow paths with roots & crossing river rocks.

I used every chance given to have a great swim in this freezing water.

However through our journey we have to be more cautious about leeches.

There are about 27 nos of waterfalls & I got to know some names of those such as,

essay about the best place i have ever visited

On the way of my visit to Neluwa Duli Ella, I have visited a Buddhist monastery called “Sinhalena Thapowanaya”, a place inspired peacefulness & simplicity.

Villages in Sinharaja,

There are two villages situated in the forest which are known as Warukandeniya & Kolonthotuwa.

Including these two there are about 40 villages around the forest border. These villagers are amazing with their qualities &  they are the guardians of the forest. They take care of the wood as worshiping to a god. Their lifestyle & the economy was build up with the forest. Most of them attached to industries like trickle honey, tea, cane products, making Ayurveda medicine, etc.

I have visited Lankagama one of the most serenity villages in the border. Tasted & purchased the most delicious honey & jaggery made out of trickle (Kithul).

At the conclusion I have to say this was a mind blowing trip which filled me joy & with lots of memories.

IELTS Speaking Sample Answer # Travel

You must have traveled to some or the other place. We all do. Travelling is that one thing that allows us to explore not only about the place but so much about ourselves and the people we travel to. Let us today have a look at some of the questions related to traveling and their possible answers.

Do you like to travel?

I love to travel, to explore new places and meet new people. It is so much fun for me and something I really love doing.

Where was the last place you visited on a holiday?

I remember going to Nainital with my father few months back. It was an amazing trip. The weather was great that day and we were on our bike, driving at a very slow speed, enjoying the journey and boating and eating corn and drinking tea. It was surely one of a great day.

What kind of places have you visited in your life?

For most of the time, I have visited only the places near to my granny’s house or the places where my father got located. But, since I have started working now, I am going to places I really want to. So, recently, I went to Mysore and I am planning to go Bhubaneswar next.

Which place would you really like to visit? Why?

I would one day love to visit Kashmir. People say that it heaven on Earth and I want to see and experience Kashmir for myself. I want to meet the people and know what is exactly in their minds regarding the heat in between India and Pakistan related to them and how is it like to live in what is considered to be heaven on Earth.

What is the best place you have ever visited?

For all the places that I have ever visited, I would say, Mysore was really beautiful. It is truly one of the safest cities that I have come across in my life and also very peaceful and full of history and culture. So, there is this Mysore palace and then Jagmohan Palace. Also, there are so many near by cities to it. You can go to bangalore or koorg or the waterfalls. It is truly amazing. The weather is great, people are nice and food is truly amazing.

Has a foreign visitor ever stayed at your home?

Well, not really, but I would always welcome any foreign person to my home and country.

What is the best way to save money while travelling?

I think the best way is to plan. When you have planned the entire journey, it becomes easier for you to travel cheaper because you know so much more about the journey. You know the places, the train tickets, the bus tickets, you know. So, you wait for some time and then take the best option.

What are some of the problems of long distance travelling?

I think the only problem with long distance travelling is that one tends to get bored after some time. But, if you are with your friends and your family members, I think there is no issue then. Apart from this, the other issue at hand is that some people tend to have some sort of ailments and travelling long distance is quite tiring.

Has the way people travel change over the last few decades?

I think it surely has changed. Their was a time when people preferred trains over flights. But with flight rates going down and so much offers being provided, also the economy of the country rising, I think people are now taking flights for longer distances. Even more, the economic condition of middle class people has risen, so now you can see them travelling in a better condition, as compared to the one may be a decade back.

What do you do while travelling?

Well, it all depends. If I am travelling alone, I tend to either read books or listen to music. I often also start writing about things here and there. But, when I am travelling with my friends or family members, we are mostly talking and playing games through out the journey. It is like when I am alone, I am usually making notes and doing some serious travel blogging thing, but with friends it is more about making memories.

100 Words Essay On The Most Beautiful Place I’ve Visited In English

The most beautiful place that I’ve had the pleasure to visit would, undoubtedly, be Bangalore. Oh, what a city it is!

With culture and art overflowing, it is the perfect tourist spot. In fact, the Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, Sultan’s palace, and Ulsoor lake are popular tourist haunts known for their exquisite beauty.

Aside from its physical beauty, the city is a beautiful amalgamation of people who speak Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Telegu, and more!

Everyone should visit Bangalore in their life at least once and take in its beauty and bustle! After the movie ‘Bangalore Days’, I was mesmerized by the wonder of Bangalore that has captivated many!

A Visit to a Historical Place Essay: 100 Words

Recently our school organized an educational trip to the Taj Mahal, Agra. The Taj Mahal is the most beautiful monument built in the Mughal period. It is one of the wonders of the world. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

This gateway of Taj Mahal is built with the use of Red Sandstone. There is a beautiful garden that begins at the main gateway and ends at the base of the monument. The building is made of pure white marble. It took twenty thousand workmen and twenty years to build. The monument is built on the bank of the river Yamuna.  It was the most beautiful building I had ever seen.

Last Sunday, we went to the Red Fort by a specially hired bus. Along the entrance two rows of shops selling various objects of art besides selling handicrafts. During the Mughal times, this was known as Meena Bazaar. After crossing the lawn, we reached the historic building known as ‘Naubat Khana’. Then we saw ‘Diwan-e-Aam’ or the Hall of Public Audience.

Then we went to the ’Rang Mahal’ which was a place of pleasures and richly inlaid with precious stones in the Mughal period. There is a ‘Khas Mahal’ beside the Rang Mahal. It has a beautiful marble screen. The Red Fort also has the War Memorial Museum where weapons used in the First World War are exhibited. We got to see many historical things that we read in our books. We enjoyed the trip very much.

Essay on a Visit to a Historical Place: 150 Words

My dream came true when last month our history teacher arranged a trip to Agra for us. It was 24 October when we reached there. That very afternoon we went to see the famous Taj Mahal. It is a masterpiece of architecture-all in marble. We admired the four more mosques with tall slender minarets and the huge central dome. The surroundings lend beauty to it. The mausoleum stands in the center of a big garden with marble water channels, rows of fountains, and stately cypress trees.

The tombs of Shah Jahan and his wife lie beneath the dome. We went to see the Agra Fort too. When Shah Jahan was confined there, he spent his time gazing at the mausoleum of his creation from his prison window. We saw things that we had read about in our books-the Dewan-i-Am, the Diwan-i-Khas, the Pearl Mosque, and the Shish Mahal. A visit to a place of historical importance does make history real and interesting. It was a wonderful trip.

A Visit to a Historical Place

A Visit to a Historical Place Essay: 200-250 Words

A visit to a historical place is very educative. It instructs as well as entertains us. I am fond of visiting historical buildings. Last year, I went to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. In the evening, we went to see the Taj Mahal. I had heard a lot about the beauty of the Taj Mahal. But reality surpassed the descriptions that had been given to me.

It is a wonder in marble, a specimen of Mughal art. Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in the sweet memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It was built about three hundred and fifty years ago.  It stands on the right bank of the river Yamuna. The gateway which is made of red stone is very beautiful. The garden is very lovely. The tall dark cypress trees, smooth green lawns, and the beds of flowers are pleasing to the eyes. The fountains flow here and there.

The main building is made of white marble. It stands on a raised platform. At its four corners, there are four stately towers. Inside the tomb, Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved Mumtaz Mahal lie buried side by side. This monument tells us about the expertise of the artists and craftsmen of that era. The visit to the Taj Mahal was a wonderful experience for us. It was both enjoyable and educational.

The best place i have ever visited – Istanbul

Filed Under: Essays Tagged With: roman empire , travel

There always has to be a place where people spend an amazing time to investigate or just to have the memory of what happen in that particular place and has a significant meaning. I never had one of those favorite places before I visited an unforgettable place, Istanbul, Turkey Honestly, I didn’t have too much curiosity to visit it, but when I already visited my point of view completely changed. Many people would ask why especially Istanbul, but there are 3 main reasons that I am going to describe to prove my opinion. First of all, Istanbul is a historical place and literally history is everywhere. As known Istanbul served as the capital of four empires: the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, the Latin Empire, and the Ottoman Empire so having all of these cultures combined in one place and their magnificent landmarks everywhere through the past made it a famous old city.

There are many ancient buildings such as Topkapı Palace (or as known in Turkish Topkapı Sarayı), Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Camii), Galata Tower (Galata Kulesi), and Maiden’s tower (Kız Kulesi).

Also there are many old and modern museums such as the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum and Istanbul Modern. In addition, if you are looking to go shopping, there is simply just one place to head to – Istanbul. Istanbul is full of old and modern shops with affordable prices.

Moreover, many of these shops are famous such as the Grand Bazaar (KapalıçarĆŸÄ±), Taksim Square (Taksim Meydanı), and Istanbul Sapphire which is the seventh tallest skyscraper in Europe. Also as a tourist, I would highly recommend using the many transport systems available in the city including The Metro System and the Sea bus. As a busy city like Istanbul, traffic sometimes gets the better of you and can really cause problems. Therefore, many people choose to hop onto a Sea Catamaran to zip across the Bosphorus or the Sea of Marmara to get to your desired location.

The Essay on The Reason Why Cambodia Is a Great Place to Visit

Since Cambodia is a developing country, it has gradually became popular with many tourist destinations. Cambodia has a lot of beautiful scenery and historical places. Also the people there are very nice. The culture and the dishes are really special. There are three reasons why Cambodia is a great place to visit. The first reason Cambodia is a great place to visit is the tourist destinations. ...

As a conclusion, Istanbul is the best place I have ever visited because it is a combination between past and present, old and modern and it is the place that any human would dream to live at. In my opinion, I would totally support the famous statement that Napoleon Bonaparte once said, “If the whole world was one country, Istanbul would be its capital.”

What is ChatGPT? Here's everything you need to know about ChatGPT, the chatbot everyone's still talking about

  • ChatGPT is getting a futuristic human update.
  • ChatGPT has drawn users at a feverish pace and spurred Big Tech to release other AI chatbots.
  • Here's how ChatGPT works — and what's coming next.

Insider Today

OpenAI's blockbuster chatbot ChatGPT is getting a new update.

On Monday, OpenAI unveiled GPT-4o for ChatGPT, a new version of the bot that can hold conversations with users in a very human tone. The new version of the chatbot will also have vision abilities.

The futuristic reveal quickly prompted jokes about parallels to the movie "Her," with some calling the chatbot's new voice " cringe ."

The move is a big step for the future of AI-powered virtual assistants, which tech companies have been racing to develop.

Since its release in 2022, hundreds of millions of people have experimented with the tool, which is already changing how the internet looks and feels to users.

Users have flocked to ChatGPT to improve their personal lives and boost productivity . Some workers have used the AI chatbot to develop code , write real estate listings , and create lesson plans, while others have made teaching the best ways to use ChatGPT a career all to itself.

ChatGPT offers dozens of plug-ins to those who subscribe to ChatGPT Plus subscription. An Expedia one can help you book a trip, while an OpenTable one will get nab you a dinner reservation. And last month, OpenAI launched Code Interpreter, a version of ChatGPT that can code and analyze data .

While the personal tone of conversations with an AI bot like ChatGPT can evoke the experience of chatting with a human, the technology, which runs on " large language model tools, " doesn't speak with sentience and doesn't "think" the way people do.

That means that even though ChatGPT can explain quantum physics or write a poem on command, a full AI takeover isn't exactly imminent , according to experts.

"There's a saying that an infinite number of monkeys will eventually give you Shakespeare," said Matthew Sag, a law professor at Emory University who studies copyright implications for training and using large language models like ChatGPT.

"There's a large number of monkeys here, giving you things that are impressive — but there is intrinsically a difference between the way that humans produce language, and the way that large language models do it," he said.

Chatbots like ChatGPT are powered by large amounts of data and computing techniques to make predictions to string words together in a meaningful way. They not only tap into a vast amount of vocabulary and information, but also understand words in context. This helps them mimic speech patterns while dispatching an encyclopedic knowledge.

Other tech companies like Google and Meta have developed their own large language model tools, which use programs that take in human prompts and devise sophisticated responses.

Despite the AI's impressive capabilities, some have called out OpenAI's chatbot for spewing misinformation , stealing personal data for training purposes , and even encouraging students to cheat and plagiarize on their assignments.

Some recent efforts to use chatbots for real-world services have proved troubling. In 2023, the mental health company Koko came under fire after its founder wrote about how the company used GPT-3 in an experiment to reply to users.

Koko cofounder Rob Morris hastened to clarify on Twitter that users weren't speaking directly to a chatbot, but that AI was used to "help craft" responses.
