Arasu (2007 film)

Arasu (King) is a 2007 Indian Kannada -language romantic drama film directed by Mahesh Babu. It features Puneeth Rajkumar in the title role as the son of a business tycoon who leaves his inherited wealth to make a living on his own upon being rejected by a girl played by Ramya who he proposes to in marriage. [1] [2] When a middle-class girl played by Meera Jasmine (who appears as a parallel lead opposite Puneeth) enters their lives, it soon turns out to be a love triangle . Srinivasa Murthy , Komal and Adi Lokesh appear in supporting roles. Kannada film actors Darshan and Aditya made cameo appearance. Actress Shriya Saran also made a cameo appearance in the film, her first Kannada language film. [3] [4] [5]

Plot [ edit ]

Shivaraj Aras is a non-resident Indian from a rich business family who idles away spending their money. He is advised to return to India by his manager Ramanna to run the well-progressing companies he heads. Once in India, Aras finds it hard to adjust after living a luxurious and carefree in America. He falls in love with Ramanna's daughter Shruthi and proposes marriage, but she blasts his spoiled lifestyle and challenges him to earn at least ₹ 5,000 for a month on his own before she can think of considering his proposal, and also makes a caustic remark on the company. This startles Aras who takes up the challenge quitting the company and goes in search of a job.

Now on streets without a single penny in his pocket Shivaraj struggles hard. Hungry, he asks for a meal at a hotel and is surprised by the low prices there, but gets thrown out when the hotelier does not believe his promise to pay them back a hundredfold. He finds an old lady selling bananas. He repeats the same and eats two bananas and promises Rs. 200,000 for the old lady after a month. At this stage he finds an ordinary girl Aishwarya. The muscle power of Shivaraj when the rowdies attack her earns good name. Shivaraj also gets a job as a sales representative in the saree shop where Aishwarya is working. He finds a place to live in the small room of Aishwarya. Aishwarya turns very sympathetic and Shivaraj decides to stay in the house for one month. Shivaraj sleeps on the floor and his wonderful behavior and lot of help for the people in his colony gives him a comfortable standing. He owes a lot for Sruthi for her remark that has changed his life style and he is extremely happy with Aishwarya for supporting him in knowing the hard realities in life.

Shivaraj is liked immensely by Aishwarya in this one month. On the other hand, Sruthi is also in love with Shivaraj and ready to marry him. It turns out that Sruthi and Aishwarya are actually very close friends. Shivaraj is not aware that Aishwarya is in love with him but Aishwarya declares to Shruthi that she is in love with Shivaraj that surprises her. Now Sruthi decides to give up his love for the sake of her friend Aishwarya. On the other hand, Aishwarya knowing that Sruthi is ready for marriage with Shivaraj also comes forward for sacrifice of her love. Not knowing what to do the intelligent Shivaraj takes a bold step. Without revealing his decision he convinces both to marry his good friends Vijay and Vinay. In return, the friends arrange for another woman Arpitha to come to Shivaraj, with Arphitha suddenly driving in and proclaiming her love for him as the film ends.

‘Roopanthara’ movie review: Raj B Shetty stars in an engaging anthology on self-transformation

The four-story kannada anthology isn’t revelatory, yet director mithilesh edavalath makes the film consistently engaging thanks to the solid execution of his ideas.

Mithilesh Edavalath’s Roopanthara (Transformation) is a fine example of how an idea is as good as its presentation. The four-story anthology, starring and co-written (dialogues and additional screenplay) by Raj B Shetty, is an interesting film on the importance of self-transformation. 

Nothing in Roopanthara is revelatory, but Mithilesh treats each of his stories as mini-epics and makes them engaging, even if you get constantly reminded of the rudimentary nature of his writing. Take, for instance, the episode involving a beggar’s (Lekha Naidu) arrest for the alleged crime of kidnapping a baby.

An influential and retired army man calls these downtrodden people “elements” to be eliminated from the world. He wants her in jail because his privilege makes him see her as a confirmed criminal.

Roopanthara (Kannada)

It’s an open secret that affluent people have their say in police stations. So, the core of the story is basic, yet the proceedings inside the station are immensely watchable because of the director’s execution. The dialogues are sharp and witty, reflecting the frustrated state of the cops. The casting is brilliant, as the actor who plays the influential man is perfectly suited to portray an annoying character; you feel like punching him for insensitively flaunting his privilege.

Mithilesh treats this episode like a thriller, with Praveen Shriyan’s intentionally shaky camerawork adding much-needed intensity to the scenes. The director uses a constable (Bharath GB) as the story’s narrator, and the innocent new joinee keeps asking his senior how the case will unfold.

In the story of a boy with a troubled childhood, Mithilesh unravels the episode like a ticking time bomb, aided by Midhun Mukundan’s dramatic background score. The boy, a drug addict, gets into anti-social activities, and becomes a threat to society. The character, portrayed in a dark tone, comes across as believable, considering what he has undergone as a child.

The best episode involves an old couple from a village. The banter between them is terrific as the improbable dreams of the duo outshine their poverty-stricken life. The director beautifully avoids melodrama until we find out that the wife is ailing from a terminal illness. Her biggest desire, to enjoy a day in Bengaluru, is shattered. But the idea also seems like a lost opportunity as the director fails to organically generate sympathy for the characters.

In the fourth story, Raj plays a goon who gets into a needless brawl with an IT employee (played by Jaishankar Aryar, director of Shivamma). Again, a seemingly ordinary idea is made interesting through a realistically choreographed scuffle between the two, and its outcome is something you never would have imagined.

As with most anthologies, the stories don’t conclude as effectively as they should. Another complaint, especially against new-age Kannada filmmakers, is their overemphasis on philosophy. In a futuristic portion, the director repeatedly conveys his disappointment that the world has become an ugly mess. He uses the idea of a humble worm turning into a butterfly as a metaphor for the need for people’s transformation to make the world a better place. Somehow, you feel a conscious effort by him towards spoon-feeding this idea and drilling home his philosophy about conscience. Why not just narrate a story and leave it for the people to reflect upon it?

Nevertheless, Mithilesh makes a confident debut. He shows enough signs of a director skillful enough to execute his ideas with conviction; it’s his thoughts that need to get more edgy and daring.

ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ಗಣೇಶನ್ (ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಬಾಲನ್) ಹಾಗೂ ಅನಿರುದ್ಧ ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ಜಿ (ಪ್ರತೀಕ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ) ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಮನೆಯವರ ವಿರೋಧದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ತಮಿಳಿನ ಕುಟ್ಟಿ. ಅನಿ ಬೆಂಗಾಲಿ ಬಾಬು. ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಈ ಮದುವೆ ಕೊಂಚವೂ ಇಷ್ಟವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಅನಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ವಹಿವಾಟನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.  ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ಕೂಡ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದು ಮನೆ ಕೊಂಡು, ಇಎಂಐ ತೀರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ವ್ಯವಹಾರದ ಜಂಜಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿ ಒದ್ದಾಡುವ ಅನಿ ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಯ ಕೊಡಲು ಸೋಲುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಅಂತರ ಇಬ್ಬರ ನಡುವೆ ಮೂಡಿ ನಂತರ ಅದು ಇಬ್ಬರ ಇಗೋಗಳಿಂದ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಕಂದರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದರೂ ಇಬ್ಬರ ನಡುವೆ ಭೂಮ್ಯಾಕಾಶದಷ್ಟು ಅಂತರ, ಊಟ ತಿಂಡಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಏನು ಬೇಕೋ ಅದು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ತಮ್ಮ  ಪಾಡಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರುವುದು. ಅದು ಮನೆಯಾಗದೆ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಉಳಿಯುವ ತಾಣವಷ್ಟೇ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳಿಗೆ ಮಗು ಬೇಡ. ಇದು ಕೂಡ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಅಸಹನೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಲು ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಮಂಚದಲ್ಲೇ ಮಲಗಿದರೂ ಅವಳ ಮುಖ ಆಕಡೆ ಇವನ ಮುಖ ಈಕಡೆ. ಒಂದೊಂದು ದಿನ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಮುಖ ಒಬ್ಬರು ನೋಡಿರುವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. 12 ವರ್ಷದ ಅವರ ದಾಂಪತ್ಯ ಏಕತಾನತೆಯಿಂದ ಬೋರು ಹೊಡೆಸುತ್ತ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂಥ ಅಸಹನೀಯ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಬೇರೋಬ್ಬರು ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.  Raj B Shetty Film Review: ರೂಪಾಂತರದ ವಿಷಾದವನ್ನು

ನೋರಾ (ಇಲಿಯಾನ ಡಿಕ್ರೋಜಾ) ಒಬ್ಬ ರಂಗನಟಿ. ಅನಿಯ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದರೆ, ವಿಕ್ರಂ (ಸೆಂತಿಲ್ ರಾಮಮೂರ್ತಿ) ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಿ ಇಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಮೊದಮೊದಲು ಏಕತಾನತೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರ ಬರುವಂಥ ಒಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಆ ಮದುವೆಯಾಚೆಗಿನ ಸ್ನೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಸೋತು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ವಿಕ್ರಂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಫೋಟೋಗ್ರಾಫರ್. ನ್ಯೂಯಾರ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ಮುಂಬೈಗೆ ಯಾವುದೋ ಕೆಲಸದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾಳನ್ನು ನ್ಯೂಯಾರ್ಕಿಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲು ತುದಿಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾದಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇತ್ತ ನೋರಾ ಸಹ ಅನಿಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಲು ಕಾತರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ನೋರಾ ಅನಿಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಲೂ, ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ವಿಕ್ರಂ ಜೊತೆ ವಿದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾರಲೂ ಕಾನೂನುಬದ್ಧ ವಿಚ್ಛೇದನ ಬೇಕೇ ಬೇಕು. ಆದರೆ ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನಿ ವಿಚ್ಛೇದನ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಯಾಕೋ ಹಿಂದೇಟು ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಈ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ತಾತನ ಸಾವಿನಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ತನ್ನ ಹುಟ್ಟೂರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ತಾತ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾವ್ಯಳ ಅನುಬಂಧದ ಅರಿವಿದ್ದ ಅನಿ ಕಕ್ಕುಲಾತಿಯಿಂದ ತಾನೂ ಕಾವ್ಯಳ ಜೊತೆ ಊರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅದೇ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ಅನಿ ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳ ತವರು ಊಟಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭ. ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ 12 ವರ್ಷ ಕಳೆದು ಈಗ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ನಡುವೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪುಳಕಗಳಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ತವರಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಅವಳ ಹೆತ್ತವರು ಅನಿಯನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಕಾತುರವಂತೂ ಇದ್ದೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳ ತವರಿನ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಲಾಸ್ ಏಂಜಲೀಸ್‌‌ನಿಂದ ಬರುವವರಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ತಾತನ ಅಂತ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ತಡವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳ ತಾಯಿ ಅನಿಯನ್ನು ಅಳಿಯನಂತೆ ಕಂಡು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಆದರ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆದರೆ ತಂದೆ ಬಿಮ್ಮಗೆ ಬಿಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆ ಕಾವ್ಯಳಿಗೂ ಅವಳ ತಂದೆಗೂ ಸದಾ ವಾಗ್ಯುದ್ಧ. ಈಗಲೂ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಪ್ಪನಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೋಪ ಆರಿಲ್ಲ. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಕಾವ್ಯಳನ್ನು 12 ವರ್ಷದ ನಂತರ ನೋಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತ್ಮೀಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅನಿಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕಾವ್ಯಳ ಗಂಡ ಎಂದು ಉಪಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತಂದೆಯ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಗಳದಿಂದ ಬೇಸತ್ತ ಕಾವ್ಯ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಅನಿರುದ್ಧನೂ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದು ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಹೋಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಇರವನ್ನು ಮರೆತು, ಮೋಜು ಮಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಕುಡಿದು ನಶೆಯಿಂದ ತೂರಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಮೇಲೂ ನಶೆ ಇಳಿದಿರದ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಸರಸವಾಡಲು ತೊಡಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಎಷ್ಟು ಮೈಮರೆತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದರೆ ತಾವು ಸರಸವಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜಾಗ ತಾತನ ಶವ ಇರಿಸಿದ್ದ ರೂಂ ಎನ್ನುವುದನ್ನೇ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಮರೆತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಮನೆಯವರ ಕೆಂಗಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಕಳ್ಳದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ನೋಡುವುದಂತೂ ವಾಹ್!  8 AM Metro: ಒಂದು ಆತ್ಮಸಂಗಾತದ ಕಥೆಯ ಮೂವಿ ರಿವ್ಯೂ ಇದು

ತಾತನ ಅಂತಿಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರದ ನಂತರ ಮುಂಬೈಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವ ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆ ಅಂತರ ಇದ್ದುದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಮರೆತು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಆಕರ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಮತ್ತೆ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ನಡುವಿನ ವೈಷಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗೌಣವಾಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಬೇಗ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರುವುದು, ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅಡುಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವುದು, ನಗುನಗುತ್ತಾ ಹರಟೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ, ಟೀ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದು ಇವೆಲ್ಲ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಮೊದಲು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಬದನೆ ಕಾಯಿ ಪಲ್ಯ ಕೂಡ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ತಿನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆ ವೈಮನಸ್ಸು ಇತ್ತೆಂಬುದೇ ಮರೆತು ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಖುಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಗೆಳೆಯ ಗೆಳತಿಯರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನೆಪಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಅವೈಡ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿಕ್ರಂ ಒಂದು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸಲು ಯೋಚಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅದರ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಫೋನ್ ಕಾಲ್ ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆ ಫೋನ್ ಕರೆಯನ್ನು ಅನಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಾಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬರ ಸ್ನೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆಘಾತವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನಿಗೆ ಹಣಾಹಣಿ ಜಗಳವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅನಿ ಕೂಡ ಜಗಳದ ಭರದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ನೋರಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿರುವುದು ಹೇಳಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಈಗ ಶಾಕ್ ಆಗುವ ಸರದಿ ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳದು. ‘ನೀನು ಮಗು ಬೇಡವೆಂದು ಅಬಾರ್ಷನ್ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆ’ ಎಂದು ಅವನು ದೂರಿದರೆ, ‘ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಸಮಯವನ್ನೇ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ನೀನಿದ್ದೂ ಒಂಟಿತನ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಿ?’ ಎಂದು ಅವಳು ತರಾಟೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಬೇರೆಯಾಗುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರವರ ಸಾಮಾನು ಸಂರಂಜಾಮು ಪ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ನಂತರ ಕಾವ್ಯಾಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಫೋನ್ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಫ್ಲಾಟ್ ಮಾರಾಟವಾಗಿದೆಯಂತಲೂ ಆ ಹಣ ಅವಳ ಭಾಗದ್ದು ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳ ಖಾತೆಗೆ ಜಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಫೋನಿನ ಆ ಕಡೆಯ ಧ್ವನಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ಕೊನೆಯ ಬಾರಿ ತಾನು ಅನಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾಸಿಸಿದ್ದ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಬರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಖಾಲಿ ಮನೆ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲೂ ತುಂಬಿದ ಧೂಳು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಅಣಕಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಅವಳ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಬಾಲ್ಕನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧೂಳು ಕೊಡವಿ ಕುಳಿತು ತಾನು ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದಿದ್ದ ತಿಂಡಿಯನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತ ಇರುವಾಗ ಅನಿಯ ಫೋನ್ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅನಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅನಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದೇ ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ವಿಕ್ರಮನ ಸಂಗವನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೋ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತಾಳೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನೋರಾ ತನ್ನ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯಿಂದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಟಿಯಾಗಿ, ಅನಿಯನ್ನು ತೊರೆದಿರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ಅನಿ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ನಗಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಡೀ ಜೀವಮಾನ ಕೇಳಲು ತಯಾರಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಅನಿಯ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ನಗುತ್ತ ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ತಿಂಡಿಯ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ತಾಟನ್ನು ಅನಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ನಗಡುತ್ತಾ ಕಾಲೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ತಿಂಡಿ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಜಮೀನುದಾರರ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ, ಪಾಳೆಗಾರರ ಅಟ್ಟಹಾಸ; ರಕ್ತದೋಕುಳಿ ಹರಿಸುವ ಮಿರ್ಜಾಪುರ್

ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರತೀಕ್ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಬಹಳ ಲವಲವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಕೆಮೆಸ್ಟ್ರಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ.  ‘ದೋ ಕಿನಾರೆ ಅಲಗ್ ಹೋಗಯೀ ಔರ್ ನದಿಯಾ ಖೋಗಯೀ’ ಈ ಗೀತೆ ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕುವಂತಿದೆ. ಯಾವುದೇ ಮಸಾಲೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಅಪ್ಪಟ ಮನರಂಜನಾ ಚಿತ್ರ ಎಂದು ಧಾರಾಳವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಬಹುದು. ಸಣ್ಣಪುಟ್ಟ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಚ್ಛೇದನ ಬಯಸುವ ಈಗಿನ ಯುವಜೋಡಿಗಳು ಈ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಒಮ್ಮೆ ನೋಡಬೇಕು.
