About the author

Nishant Jain is a young Author. He is an IAS officer by profession and a Writer by heart. He has authored many non-fiction books in Hindi and English. He loves writing non-fiction books and poems.

Nishant was born in October, 1986 at Meerut City in Uttar Pradesh state of India. Coming from a humble family background, he qualified the prestigious UPSC Indian Civil Services Exam with Rank 13.

His academic qualifications include M.Phil. in Hindi Literature from University of Delhi. He was also awarded 'Masters in Public Management' by LBSNAA/JNU.

His self-help book 'Ruk Jaana Nahi' and 'Don't You Quit' (published by Westland Books & Hind Yugm) have been very well received by young readers and also figured in 'Amazon Best Reads' many a times. His academic book 'Rajbhasha ke roop me Hindi' ('Hindi as official language') is published from National Book Trust- NBT, India. Besides this, collection of his Poems for Children 'Shadi Bandar Mama ki' is also published.

He wrote a Bestseller book on strategy to prepare for UPSC Exam; 'Mujhe Banna Hai UPSC Topper' (English version: 'All About UPSC Civil Services Exam') published by Prabhat Books. Nishant believes that to do well in UPSC candidates require a certain level of maturity and method of approach. Many students can get this at the age of 23 a good deal may not, but age alone will never be the determining factor.

He emphasises on saying stress-free before the exam and the exam date. He recommends students to do Nishkama Karma Yoga to battle stress.

To qualify, the prelims round students must be a keen learner. He or she should be able to study different subjects and grasp concepts easily. Students must try to connect all the topics to each, as this may allow them to be further ahead in the race of UPSC.

With a change in paper format from 2013, textbook learning is not sufficient for UPSC. students must learn the necessary writing skills and abilities required in the exam.

Nishant Jain Biography

Nishant was born in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh and he hails from a middle- class family. His grandfather was a junior court officer. His father was grade X pass out and his mother held an arts degree.

He had decided to become a government officer in his 9th grade when he realised that there is a need for change in the system.  He was very inspired by the collector of Meerut and had decided that he would set into this field.

Be an avid reader like Nishant. Nishant Jain the IAS officer spends a lot of his time reading books, not just for studying but even for leisure.

Follow a certain format for your essay writing skills. Maintain a certain system of flow and it will help in writing the exam easily.

When it comes to the interview round, Nishant believes that students must always be themselves. They should not try to bluff the board and should be very patient and listen to the board very well.

Remember, you are going there to learn and show that you have the ability to be a civil servant.

Nishant Jain,  the UPSC AIR 13, had written his UPSC in Hindi and is a very respected officer. His current posting is in Rajasthan as of now, and he is in level 11 of the pay commission.

Nishant Jain has written many books, and few are for UPSC preparation. Students can use them to understand various aspects of the exam. Students should be inspired by him and understand his tips and strategy to do better.

Nishant Jain

Nishant Jain is a young Author. He is an IAS officer by profession and a Writer by heart. He has authored many non-fiction books in Hindi and English. He loves writing non-fiction books and poems.

Nishant was born in October, 1986 at Meerut City in Uttar Pradesh state of India. Coming from a humble family background, he qualified the prestigious UPSC Indian Civil Services Exam with Rank 13.

His academic qualifications include M.Phil. in Hindi Literature from University of Delhi. He was also awarded 'Masters in Public Management' by LBSNAA/JNU.

His self-help book 'Ruk Jaana Nahi' and 'Don't You Quit' (published by Westland Books & Hind Yugm) have been very well received by young readers and also figured in 'Amazon Best Reads' many a times. His academic book 'Rajbhasha ke roop me Hindi' ('Hindi as official language') is published from National Book Trust- NBT, India. Besides this, collection of his Poems for Children 'Shadi Bandar Mama ki' is also published.

He wrote a Bestseller book on strategy to prepare for UPSC Exam; 'Mujhe Banna Hai UPSC Topper' (English version: 'All About UPSC Civil Services Exam') published by Prabhat Books. He also compiled a book of 101 Essays on contemporary issues, named as 'Civil Seva Pariksha ke liye Nibandh (Essay for UPSC Civil Service Exam), published by Akshar (Rajkamal Prakashan)
