Tiktoker queen paloma reacts after being trolled for leaving ‘toxic’ marriage.

Queen Paloma

TikTok star Queen Paloma made headlines when she announced that she is leaving her 6-year marriage.

She announced this when she posted a video talking to her children about why they are moving to a new house.

In the viral TikTok, she explained to her children that the new house may not have all the amenities they are used to but things will eventually be better when she gets on her feet and replaces them.

Her children were very understanding of the situation which left Paloma very emotional.

Later Paloma went on TikTok live and asked her followers and fans to help her fundraise to relocate to a different country where she can start life afresh.

However, Paloma is yet to relocate and this has puzzled her followers who contributed money for her.

Since then, she has been dealing with trolls asking her what happened.

In a recent TikTok Live session, Queen Paloma said, “I have decided not to respond to any personal questions because everything I say is misconstrued and twisted out there.”

Adding, “Then you start asking me to send you back the money you contributed.”

One fan asked her if she got a visa to leave the country. In a sarcastic tone, Paloma responded, “Which visa? I have no idea.”

She noted, “People got to know about my story halfway and did not take time to understand it and now I don’t want to respond to anyone when they ask personal questions.”

Paloma continued, “I’m good to those who are good to me. To those who love me, I love them back and those who know me personally know the kind of person I am.

She vowed not to return even a single cent.

“People come to insult and abuse me and they did not contribute anything.”

Paloma is still in the country and is still active on her TikTok page as a content creator and social media influencer.

Before they were royal: The life of Queen Letizia of Spain

queen paloma biography

Born Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano on 15 September 1972 in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain, the future royal was the eldest daughter of the journalist Jesús José Ortiz Álvarez and registered nurse and hospital union representative María de la Paloma Rocasolano Rodríguez. Letizia has two younger sisters, Telma and the late Érika.

Her compulsory education saw her attend the public La Gesta School in Oviedo, as well as the Alfonso II Institute, before moving to the Ramiro de Maeztu High School in Madrid when she was 14.

When Letizia was in her late 20s, her parents divorced. Her father would remarry in 2004 to journalist Ana Togores – just a couple of months before her wedding to the then Prince of Asturias.

Following in her father’s footsteps, Letizia decided to enter the world of journalism after receiving her bachelor’s degree in the subject from the Complutense University of Madrid. She later obtained a master’s degree from the Institute for Studies in Audiovisual Journalism in audiovisual journalism. It was during her studies at university that she began her career, first at the newspaper  La Nueva España  and later  ABC  and news agency EFE. While completing her final year of university, Letizia worked in the international edition department of EFE News Agency. The future Queen of Spain would later travel to Mexico to begin her PhD studies; she also worked with newspaper Siglo 21 while in the country.

Letizia began her journalism career in Madrid working for the city’s branch of Bloomberg TV. According to Casa Real, while employed there, she specialised “in the economy, finance and the markets, under the supervision of the EFE News Agency.” Her career would next see her working for a private channel as a reporter, editor, and broadcaster for CNN+.

By 2000, she was working for Televisión Española on the editing team for Telediario Segunda Edición and served as the presenter of the programme Informe Semanal. The future Queen of Spain was also the presenter for the morning programme  Telediario Matinal . Letizia travelled the world reporting on significant events including to the United States after the September 11, 2001, terror attacks. While with the news organisation, she later joined the editing team for the society, education and science department.

Letizia would later rejoin  Telediario Segunda Edición to co-anchor and be part of the editing team once again. Her hard work did not go unnoticed, and she was rewarded for her skill and dedication when she won the Larra Prize by the Madrid Press Association – given to the most outstanding journalist under 30 for the year.

Letizia would marry in August 1998 to the high school teacher, Alonso Guerrero Pérez in a civil ceremony. The couple had been together for ten years. However, the marriage would only last a year, and they divorced.

The award-winning journalist met then Prince Felipe at a dinner set up by a fellow journalist at Felipe’s request in late 2002. They exchanged numbers but didn’t begin dating right away (Felipe had to ask at least four times for her to agree to a date). Felipe and Letizia were able to date in secret until they shocked most of Spain with their engagement announcement – as most had no idea the future monarch was dating the journalist they were used to seeing on their screens. Their engagement was announced on 1 November 2003 with a confident Letizia telling Felipe during their meeting in front of the media, “Let me finish.”

Letizia and Felipe married on 22 May 2004 with Letizia becoming the Princess of Asturias upon marriage. The couple has two daughters, Leonor, Princess of Asturias (b. 2005) and Infanta Sofía (b. 2007). Upon the abdication of his father, King Juan Carlos, Felipe became the King of Spain with Letizia becoming Queen in 2014.

Everything You Should Know About Queen Letizia of Spain

By Madeleine Luckel

Queen Letizia

If you’re semi-familiar with Princess Charlene , Princess Caroline , and the royal princesses of Sweden , chances are that you’ve at least heard of Spain’s Queen Letizia. Perhaps you saw her recent stylish turn in an olive-green cape dress , or perhaps you have a faint recollection that she used to be a journalist. But compared to royal heavy-hitters like Kate Middleton , she is relatively unknown on this side of the Atlantic.

So, what exactly should you know about the Queen of Spain? Queen Letizia was born Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano in Oviedo, Spain in 1972. She was the first child of Jesús José Ortiz Álvarez and María de la Paloma Rocasolano Rodríguez, who went on to have two more daughters together. Her mother worked as a nurse, while her father pursued a career in journalism. Letizia, for her part, went on to follow in her father’s footsteps. She reported for a series of newspapers, before ultimately working in Spanish broadcast television. Notably, she was an anchor for Telediario, a nightly news program in Spain, and covered the 2000 U.S. presidential election.

In 2003, she became engaged to Felipe, Prince of Asturias. The engagement came as a surprise to many, not only because Letizia is one of the few non-royals to become engaged to a royal , but also because she had been previously married. In 1998, Letizia wed teacher Alonso Guerrero Pérez. The marriage ended in divorce the following year.

Upon her marriage, Letizia became Princess of Asturias. In 2005, the couple welcomed their first child together, Princess Leonor. And in 2007, their second daughter, Princess Sofia, was born.

After ten years as Princess of Asturias, Letizia became Queen in 2014. She assumed her new title when her father-in-law, King Juan Carlos, abdicated the throne, and her husband became King Felipe VI of Spain. At the time, there was much speculation as to how Letizia could in fact boost Spain’s fashion industry . And if her style—and that of her family —is any indication, she may indeed be well on her way.

Queen Letizia of Spain celebrates her 51st birthday today

It is an important day for one of the world's most glamorous royals as Queen Letizia of Spain , the radiant wife of King Felipe VI, celebrates her 51 st birthday.

Born on 15 September 1972 as Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano, the queen came from a middle-class family in Otezia, Northern Spain. Her parents were journalist Jesús José Ortiz Álvarez and nurse María de la Paloma Rocasolano Rodríguez.

Much like her father, Letizia harboured ambitions to become a journalist, ultimately pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the field at the Complutense University of Madrid. After the end of her degree, the future queen doubled down, gaining a master’s degree in audiovisual journalism from the Institute for Audiovisual Journalism Studies. On graduating, she worked at both the Spanish language versions of both Bloomberg and CNN . During her time as a journalist, she reported on major events including 9/11 and the Iraq War. In 1998, she married Alonso Guerrero Pérez, a writer, but they divorced just one year later.

In 2004, she married then Prince Felipe of Asturias, son of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain. The couple had met at a mutual friend's dinner party two years prior. It was a happy and glamorous day that felt like a fairytale and made headlines around the world due to the queen's status as a ‘commoner’ and her previous career in journalism, which she was forced to give up for royal duties.

Letizia became the Queen of Spain in 2014 when King Juan Carlos abdicated in favour of his son. The couple share two children, Princess Leonor, 17, and Infanta Sofia, 16. Felipe and Letizia were recently pictured together, waving off Leonor who just began her required military training. The two have been praised for their work as king and queen, particularly for their recognition of the LGBT community.

To celebrate Letizia's birthday, Tatler presents a gallery of the life and times of one of the world’s most popular royals.

Paloma Rocasolano, the mother of Queen Letizia, ‘invisible’ at the Princess of Asturias Awards

Paloma Rocasolano, the mother of Queen Letizia, ‘invisible’ at the Princess of Asturias Awards

The grandmother of the heiress to the throne always maintains a very discreet role in the ceremony.

Furthermore, the eyes were also set on the Queen Sofia and the rest of the Royal Family , which met in one of the most complicated moments as a result of the scandals related to Don Juan Carlos I. However, there was another guest who also stood out despite her intention to go unnoticed: Paloma Rocasolano .

In addition, in her desire not to attract attention and to diminish the prominence of her granddaughter Princess Leonor, Paloma Rocasolano attended the ceremony completely alone, without the company of her new partner Marcus Tokuaboh Brandler , a British businessman who trades in cocoa, coffee, tea and spices.

Nor could this year count on his mother, Menchu Álvarez del Valle , who died last July. It has also highlighted the absence of Telma Ortiz , who did attend on previous occasions with her boyfriend Robert Gavin, with whom she just had a daughter whose name is still unknown .
