Several analysis studies have been carried out with a view to providing valuable knowledge into the existing research outline of the performance appraisal and employee motivation. The current study systematically reviews and synthesizes the performance appraisal and employee motivation aiming to provide a comprehensive analysis of 27 articles from 2015 to 2020. The research will aim to establish the impact of performance appraisal fairness on the employees’ motivation in an organization. To achieve its objective, the study will adopt descriptive research. It will be informed of a survey, and there will be a sample selection to make the process economical. This shows that there will be a use of different techniques of information collection since the data to be collected a primary data. There will be interviewing of the sample size, and their responses will be noted down. The presence of the researcher may influence some people, and this necessitates the use of questionnaires for the respondents to fill on their own. In addition, most of the analyzed studies were conducted in Malaysia, China, Pakistan, and India. Besides, most of the analyzed studies were frequently conducted in job satisfaction and performance context, employee motivation followed by organizational effectiveness context. To that end, the findings of this review study provide an insight into the current trend of how performance appraisal affects employee’s motivation.

The study aims to focus on resource management aspect in leather industry in Bangladesh.Leather industry in Bangladesh was developed on a large-scale basis from 1970's. Most of the industries are export oriented and about 95% of leather and leather products in the form of crust leather, finished leather, leather garments and footwear are marketed abroad. Value addition in these exports averages 85% local and 15% foreign. About 40 to 100 tannery units among 206 are now in operation in the sector. Most of the industries are located in the Hazaribagh area of Dhaka city. This sector has emerging opportunities to contribute to our economy due to the availability of raw materials. But due to the improper utilization of our resources, this highly productive sector is in risks. This study focuses on the crucial point of use of our available resources and find out the way of overcoming management technique helping this sector to retain on the track. Strategic of resource management, human resource planning, recruitment, training and development and job evaluation are main aspect of resource management aspect.

■ This research addresses the competencies organizations use through project manager job advertisements. We develop a list of project manager job competencies; break down the competency components into knowledge, skills, and abilities; and conduct a comparative analysis of the use of these competencies. We examine the online contents of project manager job advertisements in the public domain. Analysis shows that industry job advertisements emphasize " soft skills " and competencies in a manner different than that in the literature. Additionally, differences are found across countries and between industries. Implications from the findings highlight the incongruent dissemination of project manager competencies, regional and industrial demands, and the recruitment of project managers.

Considered being the first and primary practice of human resource management, human resource planning holds a huge role to play. Theoretical bases of HR planning practices have been investigated in detail in this article. Authors have made an attempt to cover and present comprehensive literature on this important practice of HR. The importance of HR planning, its strategic objectives and factors influencing it are all covered in this literature study. Also, the study covers HR planning frameworks and models and tells the processes to retain and motivate the workforce of the organization.

Today, competencies are used in many facets of human resource management, ranging from individual selection, development, and performance management to organizational strategic planning. By incorporating competencies into job analysis methodologies, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has developed robust competency models that can form the foundation for each of these initiatives. OPM has placed these models into automated systems to ensure access for employees, human resources professionals, and managers. Shared access to the data creates a shared frame of reference and a common language of competencies that have provided the basis for competency applications in public sector agencies. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
