Working From Home Essay

In this working from home essay for IELTS you have to discuss whether you think that working from home has more advantages or disadvantages.

This was a recent question from the test. Take a look at the essay question:

These days, many people have their own computer and telephone, so it is quite easy for them to do their job at home.

Does working at home have more advantages or more disadvantages?

In this essay you have the following task:

  • Does working at home have more advantages or disadvantages?

ielts essay on work at home

This suggests that there are both pros and cons of working from home as you are asked which there are more of.

So in your answer to this working from home essay it's better to discuss both but write more about the side that you think there are more of so that the essay content reflects your opinion.

Try then to think of one reason for one side of the argument and two for the other side.

Organisation

It's usual in academic writing to start with the opinion that is the one you don't support so start with that one.

So based on this, the sample working from home essay is organised as follows:

  • Have more control of time ( advantage)
  • Loneliness (disadvantage)
  • Less influence in the company ( disadvantage)

So in this case, the writer thinks of course that there are more disadvantages and this should be clearly stated when you give your opinion in the introduction and / or conclusion.

Now take a look at the model answer.

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Write about the following topic:

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.

Write at least 250 words.

Model Answer:

In the present age it is common for people to work from home because of advances in technology. On balance, I would argue that this has more negative impacts than positive.

One advantage of working from home is the freedom it provides. Home workers can organise their work around their home life as they can stop or start work as they please, and thus if, for example, they have children, they can easily arrange to take them and pick them up from school. They can also undertake any other tasks that they need to do during the day, such as doing the laundry or shopping, and then finish work later. Overall then, employees have more control over their lives.

Despite these positive factors, however, there are a number of  disadvantages. The first of these is the fact that those who work at home nearly all the time will not be mixing with colleagues. When people are at work, they are always surrounded by others, but at home, an employee is likely to be alone most the time. This may lead to feelings of loneliness due to a lack of interaction.

Another drawback is the fact that one may have less influence in the company. It is often the case that important decisions arise on the spur of the moment as unexpected issues arise. If an employee is not there, others may have to step in. If this occurs on a regular basis, the employees contribution to the company may decline, meaning a higher probability of getting overlooked for things such as promotion.

In conclusion, although there are positives and negatives related to working from home, there are more negative impacts. Employees should therefore consider carefully whether working from home is the best choice.

(293 Words)

This working from home essay would get a high score as it meets the requirements of the task, which is to discuss the pros and cons of working from home and state which there are more of.

It is also coherent and cohesive, with paragraphing used to good effect and good linking within and between sentences.

There is a good range of lexis (vocabulary) in the essay and it is used accurately with good collocations.

There is also a good mix of complex sentences and structures and again the grammatical accuracy is very good.

Working from home (Corrected Essay)

Working from home (Corrected Essay)

Some say that it would be better if the majority of employees worked from home instead of traveling to a workplace every day. Do you think the advantages of working from home outweigh the disadvantages?

Office has no longer been the only work place since many people are considering working from home. Some may argue the majority of employees should change their work place from office to home. In my opinion, the benefits of working from home can surely surpass the drawbacks due to the following reasons:

Office has no longer been the only work place since many people are considering working from home. Some may argue the majority of employees should change their work place from office to home. In my opinion, the benefits of working from home can surely surpass offset the drawbacks due to the following reasons: various reasons.

The first sentence is not accurate. It implies that people did not work from home in the past; however, throughout history, many people did work from home, for example, the classical novelists and artists.

“ Can surely ” is an informal expression and does not contribute anything to the preciseness of your writing.

The correct verb to follow the word “benefit” is not “ to surpass ”, but rather “ to offset ”, “ to outweigh ”, or “ to exceed ”.

Do not end your sentence with a colon ( “:” ), unless you want to provide a list of items immediately after that.

Working from home is a lot more comfortable for lots of people. Employees can save a great deal of time and money since they do not have to travel so often, which means people will have more time for work and for themselves, too. Less travelling will also help reduce traffice traffic jam congestion and pollutants to our environment environmental pollution . Besides, working at home does not mean staying inside all day long, people can choose to work in their garden or backyard, wherever makes them feel convenient to work. Moreover, employees are under less stresses stress since they get to decide when to work and when to take rest with a flexible working schedule . These things will help giving out better perfomance to tasks.

Words like “comfortable”, or “convenient” are too generic to use in an IELTS writing context. Generally, it’s better to use other words.

Lengthy phrases like “a great deal of time and money” (7 words) are considered as informal and ambiguous. Try to use shorter expressions, for example “time-saving and cost-efficient” (3 words only).

In a formal context, “ traffic congestion ” is more preferrable than “ traffic jam ”. When being alone, the word “ jam ” can be understood as a type of food. It’s always better to use a word that only has one meaning, regardless of the context.

The third sentence in this body paragraph is an example of poor cohesion. “ Traffic jam ” is not parallel to “ pollutants to our environment ”. “ Traffic jam ” is a condition (abstract), not a physical material (touchable by human) like “ pollutants ”. Therefore, you need to use another condition that is parallel to “ traffic jam ” (“ environmental pollution ”)

The fourth sentence (“ Besides, working at… ”) should be placed in the second body paragraph. The author is tailoring his ideas by providing the advantages of working from home in the first body paragraph, then listing the disadvantages in the second body paragraph while attacking those disadvantages notion at the same time. This kind of idea (“ to play the devil’s advocate ”) is good, but the execution isn’t. Insufficient coherence like this will hamper your score in Coherence & Cohesion criterion.

“Stress” as in “psychological stress” is an uncountable noun.

Try to improve the conciseness of your essay by rewritting a sentence clause (S+V) into a noun phrase. For example, “ since they get to decide when to work and when to take rest ” can be shorten into “ with a flexible working schedule ”.

The last sentence is redundant and ungrammatical.

To be fair, There are still some disadvantages that home-working could bring of teleworking . For instance, working from personal space will reduce direct face-to-face interactions among colleagues. But However, the problem is solved thanks to the Internet. As for now, people from around the globe can easily contact and work with others from distances. Another drawback is that some people may get distracted from work by external factors. This situation requires employees to be highly awared awarded of what they should and should not do for their paid jobs.

The accurate way to describe the act of working from home is not “ home-working ”, but rather “ teleworking ” or “ telecommuting ”. The author has miss his chance to improve the Lexical Resource score.

Generally, in a writing context, do not start your sentence with a short subordinate conjuction (“ and ”, “ or ”, “ but ”, “ for ”).

The third sentence in this paragraph is very unclear, especially when the followed sentence does not provide a good explanation. The author has to elaborate more on the Internet’s merits (social softwares such as “ instant messaging ”, “ collaborative software ”, etc)

The author has failed to provide a counter-argument for the notion of “ people may get distracted from work by external factors ”. Not to mentions he does not elaborate what is the “ external factors ”. Again, weak cohesion.

Do not simply stating “ this ” as a sentence subject. This type of grammatical mistake is called “unclear antecedent”, or “unclear aphoric noun”, and should be avoid by extending the subject with a word like “ condition ”, “ situation ”, “ issue ”, etc.

In conclusion, working from home should be encouraged because the advantages overcome the disadvantages.

The conclusion is coherent with the introduction and the two body paragraphs. Though, it is a little bit too short.

(Words: 261)

Overall: 6.0

Task Response: 6

✓ addresses all parts of the task although some parts may be more fully covered than others (the author has written more than 250 words and addressed the topic question)

✓ presents a relevant position although the conclusions may become unclear or repetitive

✓ presents relevant main ideas but some may be inadequately developed/unclear

Coherence and Cohesion: 6

✓ arranges information and ideas coherently and there is a clear overall progression (the ideas in each paragraphs are coherent with eachother)

✓ uses cohesive devices effectively, but cohesion within and/or between sentences may be faulty or mechanical

✓ may not always use referencing clearly or appropriately (the author usually fails at providing good supporting evidence for his argument)

✓ uses paragraphing, but not always logically (the fourth sentence in Body Paragraph 1 should be placed in Body 2 instead)

Lexical Resource: 5

✓ uses a limited range of vocabulary, but this is minimally adequate for the task (all the vocab used in this essay are very generic) ✓ may make noticeable errors in spelling and/or word formation that may cause some difficulty for the reader

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: 6

✓ uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms

✓ makes some errors in grammar and punctuation but they rarely reduce communication

IELTS Writing task 2 | Working from home

work from home

In this IELTS writing task 2 example, we give you two questions that look very similar, but in fact one of them is much more difficult than the other. Once you’ve read them and thought about them, see our video analysis of the questions and our model answer for a very difficult question!

WRITING TASK 2

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Question 1: This difficulty is typical of the real test!

Write about the following topic:

New technologies for communicating and working remotely have led to an increase in the number of people working from home.

Do you think the advantages of working from home outweigh the disadvantages

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Write at least 250 words.

Question 2: This question is as hard as it could get!

New technologies for communicating and working remotely have led to an increase in the number of people working from home, affecting both businesses and their employees

Do you think the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages

Video analysis and model answer

Band 9 model answer.

The growth of digital technologies and the Internet have drastically altered people’s working patterns. Applications for video conferencing, team collaboration and cloud computing mean that people are now able to do work anywhere, which has allowed more people to work from home. This has significant impacts, both positive and negative, on companies and their employees.

Working from home has a large effect on the costs borne by both employers and their staff. There are some extra costs for companies, including software licences to allow remote working and cloud infrastructure to provide secure information access. However, these are actually lower than the cost of renting and powering a large office space in a city centre. Similarly, employees may spend more on their energy bills as they spend all day at home, but this is outweighed by not having to pay for train or bus tickets, or to buy coffee or lunch near their workplaces. As a result, home working offers multiple financial advantages for both companies and their staff.

As more people work from home, they spend less time in contact with their colleagues. For individuals, this lack of personal contact could cause feelings of isolation which can make people depressed. For companies, there may be a decrease in team cohesion and collaboration can be more difficult, resulting in lower productivity. To offset these impacts, companies should invest in video conferencing software and schedule daily meetings to help people to work efficiently. They must also organise regular team-building exercises and require employees to attend at least once a week. In this way, the disadvantages of working from home can be reduced.

In conclusion, working from home is highly beneficial for both companies and their employees. It does have drawbacks, including the need for expensive new software for companies and energy bills for employees, and could affect mental health and productivity. However, the cost savings in business rent and employee commuting and living costs are greater, allowing businesses and staff to save money, and solutions can be used to improve collaboration and ensure workers maintain active social contact with their colleagues.

Band 9 essay sample: Advantages and disadvantages of working from home

by Manjusha Nambiar · Published November 16, 2015 · Updated November 16, 2015

Essay topic

Modern technology, such as personal computers and the internet, has made it possible for many people to work from their home. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this situation?

Sample essay

Technology has changed the way we work. The advent of the internet and networking solutions has made it possible for people to work from their home instead of their offices. In my opinion, this development has more advantages than disadvantages.

Perhaps the biggest advantage is that people can work flexible hours. This arrangement is especially helpful for women who have young children. Many of them who quit their job after the birth of their children are now back in the job market. Obviously, they are looking for positions that allow them to work from their homes.

Male employees also benefit from working from home. In big cities like Mumbai or Bangalore, people spend hours commuting to work and home. If they get an opportunity to work from their home, they can save a lot of time. This will improve their work-life balance and overall sense of wellbeing. Employers also benefit from this arrangement. When employees work from their homes, the cost of running the business comes down. Working from home also saves valuable resources. Less commuting means less travel. This can result in significant fuel savings and cleaner air.

There are a few challenges as well. Employees working from home may have difficulty building a rapport with others in their team. In addition, they may find it difficult to get instant support when problems arise. However, an efficient management can easily take care of these problems.

To conclude, there are several benefits to working from home. Many employers have already realized this and started encouraging their workers to work from home. In the future, we will certainly have more organizations taking this route.

Essay#83 | Working From Home

Writing tip.

Be careful with punctuation. You must use a  comma  after the following words and phrases when they are used at the start of a sentence:  Also, Secondly, For example, On the other hand, Finally, However, In my opinion, Similarly, Furthermore, Unfortunately, To summarise, Therefore, To sum up, In conclusion , e.g.  In conclusion, I believe that while many workers welcome the opportunity to go out to work, others would find the chance to work from home very convenient.   NOT   In conclusion I believe that…

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Write about the following topic:

Computers and modems have made it possible for office workers to do much of their work from home instead of working in offices every day. Working from home should be encouraged as it is good for workers and employers.

Do you agree or disagree?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Write at least 250 words.

Model answer.

In recent years the vast expansion of information and communications technology has made teleworking much more practical. Although in many cases office workers could be made geographically independent by using modems, faxes and cell phones, few companies or employees take full advantage of this possibility.

There are a number of strong arguments in favor of allowing workers to work from home. Firstly costs for employers would be reduced  because  businesses would require less office space, which is often situated in the center of large cities.  Secondly , worker’s lives would be improved in a variety of ways.  For example , they would not need to travel to get to work, which would give them more free time.

Also , they could combine their work with their family life, which is a major advantage if they are parents of young children or they have old people to look after.  On the other hand , traveling to a centralized workplace also has a number of points in its favor.  The first is that  many employees would miss the social aspect of work  such as  seeing colleagues and meeting customers.  A further point is that  employers would need to be able to trust their workers to work at a high standard and finish their work on time,  since  supervising teleworkers is even more complicated than supervising workers in the same office.

Finally , working from home might inhibit teamwork and creative work and so perhaps so only really suitable for people doing routine office work.

In conclusion , I believe that  while  many workers welcome the opportunity to go out to work, others would find the chance to work from home very convenient. Where possible, I think workers should be offered the choice, but not forced to work from home unless they wish to.

IELTS speaking vocabulary: talking about working from home

Home  »  IELTS speaking  »  IELTS speaking vocabulary: talking about working from home

IELTS speaking part 1

Examiner: Do you prefer to work from home or at an office?

Flavia: I most certainly prefer working from home. It gives me flexibility I would never have in an office environment. Plus, my work-life balance has never been better; I can get in a workout in the morning, pick my daughter up from school, plus I don’t have to spend time and money commuting to an office.

There may be some added distractions at home while I should be working but overall working from home has kept me from office burnout . To be honest, I found more distractions when I work from an office!

Examiner: Why do you think some people prefer to work in an office?

Polina: Well, there are definitely benefits! For one, you develop a sense of commu nity with your colleagues . There is the banter, the camaraderie … even the gossip! You have an atmosphere of teamwork in a conventional work environment whereas working from home can really lead to isolation .

Examiner: Do you think more people will work from home in the future?

Thuy: The global pandemic forced many people to work from home – for some it was successful and for others less so. So I think that future trends will depend on what outcomes we see from the shift to wfh during COVID-19. IF institutions found it worked for them without a drop in productivity or an increase in costs then we may see the home as the workplace of the future.

IELTS speaking part 2 (cue card)

Describe your ideal job

You should say

  • What the job is
  • What skills are necessary to do the job
  • Where the job is done

And why you think this job would be interesting to do

The job I think would be interesting to do would definitely be something involving writing. I have always loved to write but what makes it ideal is that this job allows a tremendous amount of flexibility .

A writer can work either in an office or remotely . One day you might be writing from Paris and the next day from New York! Your office is wherever you are and thanks to modern technology, telecommuting works like a breeze!

Furthermore, you’re not tied to a desk 9 to 5 . A writer can create a schedule that works for him or her. Personally, I am a night owl so I like working late into the night – you couldn’t do that in an office job!

IELTS speaking part 3

Examiner: Many people believe that for companies to improve their carbon footprint they should allow more employees to work from home. Do you agree?

Jorge: Working from home does have a number of s ustainability benefits . When employees work from home, there is a reduction in carbon monoxide emissions from cars, so in that sense, working from home is environmentally friendly .

Also, everything must be done electronically – so there’s no unnecessary waste of paper by printing work documents. Plus, businesses can move into smaller spaces that use fewer resources like heat, water and electricity, so it’s also really financially viable .

Examiner: Why do you think some employees resist working from home?

Salima: To be honest, it can be a challenge to feel motivated when you are working without any supervision so it’s easy to slack off and some employees might not want that.

Another issue is that there is no separation of your home and work life so that might lead to burnout .

In some professions, working from home is difficult because they may not have the office equipment required to do their job properly. Of course, we can’t forget the social component of the workplace which is paramount for lots of people.

Examiner: How do you predict work will change in the future?

Min: Well, I think lockdowns have taught us a number of lessons that we will take with us into the future. For example, I think we’ll start seeing hybrid work become more common.

This would involve working both from home and from an office on certain days of the week, for certain functions, like meetings or events.

If this does happen, I think it will be a wonderful development as it really embraces the needs of the employee as an individual, different personal obligations, working styles, timetables and so on.

We’re realizing the Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 model does not fit everyone so I think embracing hybrid work more will give people the autonomy to create a work schedule that works for them, resulting in higher productivity and happier employees – and happier companies.

Nowadays it is becoming increasingly common for people to do their work at home IELTS Essay

ielts essay on work at home

IELTS Essay Topic

Nowadays, it is becoming increasingly common for people to do their work at home rather than going to their place of work.

What reasons are there for this? Is this a positive or negative development?

Sample Answer   1

Working from home is quite popular in today’s era rather than going to the office for work. This essay will suggest that the principal cause of this issue is reducing office expenses for companies. It is a positive development because it helps to save time the employees spend on travelling.

To begin with, people do not go to their workplaces because companies prefer to let their employees work from home. After all, it reduces the company’s cost of offices or workplaces. The big companies hire so many workers to work for their company, and they need to rent a place to work and pay other office expenses such as electricity bills, computers, Wifi and other important tools for the office. For example, Rogers is a big mobile phone company and has thousands of employees working for them from home, which reduces their operating costs drastically.

It is a positive development because it helps employees to save their time. If they go to the office, they must prepare for that and travel to their office. So, if they work from home, they can use that time to do something productive. Especially for mothers, it is easy to balance their working life and family life. For example, the research showed that people working from home have more healthy relationships with their families than people staying away from their family members.

To conclude, it is beneficial for companies to let their employees work from home because it has numerous benefits. Moreover, it helps the staff to save their time and travel costs.

2. IELTS Part 1: Working from Home

Q1. Do you prefer to work from home or at an office?

I most certainly prefer working from home.

Q2. Why do you think some people prefer to work in an office?

Well, there are definitely benefits! For one, you develop  a sense of community  with your  colleagues . There is the banter, the  camaraderie … even the gossip! You have an atmosphere of  teamwork  in a conventional  work environment  whereas working from home can really lead to  isolation .

Q3. Do you think more people will work from home in the future?

The global pandemic forced many people to work from home – for some it was successful and for others less so. So I think that future trends will depend on what outcomes we see from the shift to wfh during COVID-19. IF institutions found it worked for them without a drop in  productivity  or an increase in costs then we may see the home as the  workplace  of the future.

Sample Essay

While it is argued that a distinguished career is regarded as the most pivotal thing in a person’s life, I firmly believe that there are other factors which can make people’s lives  meaningful.

On the one hand, it cannot be denied that working plays a vital role in one’s life. According to an annual survey carried out in the UK, a person spends about 25 or 30 years on their occupation, hence working time accounts for nearly one-third of a person’s life. So if people obtain a worthwhile job that blooms , their lifetime is likely to be filled with human well-being . Additionally, the state of being stuck in an unsuccessful career might have a destructive influence on people’s spirits. Those with turbulent career or experience of job dissatisfaction could suffer from chronic stress and discouragement, which affects   their mental and physical health adversely, as well as making them have a negative outlook on their lives.

On the other hand, I contend that there are more desirable goals rather than a successful career to attain in our life. A vast majority of people perceive  a meaningful life as helping others living in poor and underprivileged conditions . They spend most of their lifetime devoting to charity work. Furthermore, there are other people who do not enter the workforce but seem satisfied with their lives. In some Asian countries such as Japan, dual-income families are not as common as that in Western nations. Take Japan as a telling example;  men are often the breadwinners while women stay at home, take over the responsibilities related to household chores and childcare, which make them feel content as a well-established tradition .

In conclusion, while undoubtedly people can benefit enormously from a glittering career , there are still a lot of significant factors which might enable them to lead a happy life.

In an extremely competitive and contending world that we are residents of, especially in the terms of success and growth, it is obvious for people considering a successful career to be a synonym of a fulfilled life. However, I find myself in contrariety to the very statement as one dynamic of life can’t define the wholesome purpose of it. In the forthcoming paragraphs, I shall be reflecting on the same.

Often people are found assuming materialistic things and subsets of life to be the only purpose of it, which is an extremely erroneous and flawed notion. An enriching job and the associated nuances of it for that matter is just one factor of a sound lifestyle that can’t compensate and rule out the other aspects and aspirations of one’s life. Social well being, physical fitness, emotional stability are a few of the broader categories of a conventionally presumed healthy lifestyle, and in such a scenario, catapulting one’s whole life in hounding up the capitals, as is evidently observed, corrodes one’s life, which gets culminated into realisation in the later stage of one’s life.

People involved in altruism and philanthropy often consider themselves to be substantially content and satiated with their life. Also, the anchorites and sages who neglect the extrinsic opulence of their life and inclined more towards the philosophical sea apparently enthral themselves, as they often alleged, in the true gist of life. Moreover, the wealthy households or individuals, successful in their career are often ostensibly pronounced to be thoroughly accomplished in all walks of life that might be true in some cases, are not necessarily happy in the core of their personal well being. Suicides, depression, anxiety, etc. are some of the evidential nemeses of dissatisfaction that one might be going through.

Although, good career, sound wealth, career aspirations and growth are important, encompassing life around a mono-subset is shallow lectured and a failed ideology and a snag for one’s wholesome journey.

Conclusively, ordaining one’s life unsuccessful and ignominious just by the definition of career curve is utterly wrong and unpragmatic.

  • Lifetime (noun) the period of time when someone is alive
  • Distinguished career (phrase) successful career
  • Carry out (phrasal verb) conduct
  • Account for (phrasal verb)   supply or make up a specified amount or proportion of
  • Human Well-being (phrase) is understood as a a state of health, happiness and/or prosperity
  • A dual – income family  (phrase)  a family that gets money from two separate incomes
  • Take something/someone as a telling example (phrase) Consider something/someone as a strong, important example

ielts essay on work at home

Posted on May 26, 2022

Some people believe that having a job is the most crucial thing in one’s life because without it life becomes unpurposed. In my opinion, going to work daily provides everyone a new energy to live their life to the fullest and hence I completely agree with the given statement. This essay will outline the reasons in regard to the view mentioned above. To begin with, having work, eliminates the feeling of being dependent; people become self-sufficient in handling their spending. Moreover, it evokes a sense of responsibility within them as they start paying their own expenses like house rent, electricity bill etc.

Furthermore, having a good career life shapes the personality of an individual in several ways. For instance, when faced with challenges at work, people tend to become more persistent and determined. Consequently, a successful work life makes people more confident and disciplined. Additionally, throughout the career one can find true friendship that they could cherish for life. In contrast, unsuccessful people end up feeling unworthy, due to sitting all day long and doing nothing; they can also indulge in overthinking which can have negative impact in their lives. Also, they are often judged by our society, for not having a goal in their life which eventually makes them feel tensed and depressed.

To sum up, being focused and ambitious is one of the most important element of the life skills, people without it are considered to be complete failures and hence having a successful career makes life meaningful and world, a better place to live.

For the same question, I have written my own answer. Can you please give me feedback on the same.

The question of success in career makes people’s life adorable and in the other hand, there are many things which can make people’s life meaningful. I generally believe that, Success in career is important for survival of life. However, life becomes meaningless without happiness and peace. The one should survive by following his dreams and passion instead of routine job. In our past generation, most of them are dependent on agriculture and they live a happy life with their families. In current situation, I agree that career plays a crucial role in people’s life to achieve their goals and to accomplish family needs and for good health. Perhaps, if he wants to live a lavish life then money is much needed in that case career is most important. Now a days, I believe that People are more interested in creativity, arts, fashion or any other different lively jobs rather than doing a nine to six job. And more people are interested in travelling. In that they can make plenty money as well as job satisfaction. Because, they are loving what they are doing as a job. In my opinion, work is not the only option to make life meaningful. Bunch of things are there in this adorable world that can make people’s life wonderful. There are things like traveler, Vlogs, influencer etc., they are earning sufficient for living and they are living joyful life comparing to the normal job holder’s life. Finally, I strongly believe, career is not making people’s life meaningful rather lively things makes people’s life Meaningful.

Tasks at Home and Work are being performed by Robots

In conclusion, although developing robots might seem scary, their benefits are way pronounced as it will allows people to have more time and creates alternative careers.

IELTS Essay Topic Robots

It is becoming increasingly common for homeowners and businesses to use robots to deal with daily tasks. I believe this trend is wholly positive because it saves individuals time and allows businesses to better allocate resources. ieltsxpress

In the past, a sizeable percentage of operating budgets went to labour but as this number begins to dwindle we will see a concomitant rise in investiture in areas like research and development. Large companies such as Amazon, Google, Apple and automobile manufacturers can now invest in developing artificial intelligence, improving existing products, making safer cars, and so on. Over time, these benefits will add up to hasten both the pace of technological development and the speed with which new advances reach consumers. Robots will replace jobs reliant on manual labour and divert those wasted dollars to more important, creative areas that elevate human endeavours.
