Short Essay on A Visit to a Park in 100 Words

All of us need some sort of entertainment in our lives. We tend to visit several places to spend some quality time with our parents and family. Visiting a park is one of the most fantastic attractions in all of them. I recently saw a water park in Kolkata to boost myself up after long-drawn pandemic jeopardy. Visiting there with my friends was an additional reward.

We enjoyed each other’s company, laughed, played, and hyped the energy. It was such a bliss to be out in the open sun. Everywhere there was mirth and playfulness. I felt how even a small excuse of visiting a park can bring together so many people. The visit appeared to be more like an unbridled and happy social meeting.

Short Essay on a Visit to a Park in 200 Words

Entertainment is a mode to unleash all our suppressed passions and desires and enjoy a short moment of life with fun and happiness. For that visiting parks, places of heritage, zoos, museums, or having a simple picnic can be those several ways to enjoy our vacations and pass times. For me visiting a water park is great bliss.

Recently I and my friends went to a nearby water park in Kolkata that is well known for its water slides, fun, games, and also the ambience of happiness. We readily agreed to visit the park and make the day memorable. Reaching there we bought ourselves tickets and took some costumes to enjoy the water slides. We felt both excited and terrified viewing the giant rollercoaster and the ups and downs of the ride. Yet gathering all our courage we went on.

We got into it consecutively and as soon as the ride started we felt the greatest enjoyment of our lives. Each and every ride was wonderful, especially the water slip and the pool rides. In fact, the park also accommodated some really cool cocktail outlets and a platform to enjoy the music going on. The entire environment was one of mirth. After losing time in the pandemic, the water park visit became a fruitful experience get-together, as many friends came together who would have otherwise been disconnected for a while.

Short Essay on a Visit to a Park in 400 Words

Taking any journey with people we love is always a rewarding experience. Whenever we find ourselves in a pensive mood, we feel desperate to attend a place of fun and excitement. Visiting a park, be it any local ground or an exclusive park with sophisticated rides and slips, strolling at parks is always a great exercise for the mind and body. It releases all our clogged emotions and makes the mind as free and wide as a huge green field. Visiting parks has often been a medicative remedy.

Many old people along with kids practice visiting to park in the morning and dusk. It enables them to maintain a healthy body and mind and feel carefree. Similarly for me visiting a park has also a great purpose. Recently I went to a famous water park in Kolkata, that is quite renowned for its water rides.

The park also has a separate underground base station for dance and music, where young people can spend their quality time. The entire park is well decorated with cartoons and animals, which in turn become viable for little kids. The park’s beauty attracts lots of visitors every summer. Also, the cocktail outlets lying adjacent to the water park add up to its beauty.

Recently, I got a wonderful opportunity to get together with my high school friends and spent a great time with them in that water park, I hardly could have denied such an option and readily agreed. It was also a moment of nostalgia since these friends live far away without that old bonding. We arrived as one of our friends has already got our tickets. We opted for the rollercoaster ride, although it rose great fear and excitement in us. It was as majestic as it was fearful.

Once into it, we realized how beautiful the company was. We were thrilled with joy and enjoyed all the water rides with extreme fun. The summer heat no longer felt tormenting us as the mirth filled the air. After completing the rides we changed our dresses and quickly visited the dance p[platform. We enjoyed each other’s company and forgot the passage of time. Happiness, like bubbles, brewed up till we returned back and parted our ways.

Visiting a water park that day was not any show of our sophisticated taste. But it was god’s grace that all our long-lost friends got reunited. Those lost memories were once again relived and cherished as if it was anew. I still can feel the happiness of that day and will never forget this wonderful memory.

Experience at an Amusement Park (Sixflags)

To begin with, the world of entertainment excites me much, and I can hardly find anyone in my surroundings who does not want to experience the flow of adrenalin throughout body and mind as well. I am talking about my personal experience while visiting the amusement park Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles.

The motions are incredible to explain or even give a little bit of those states of my psyche which were constantly changing with characteristic ups and downs in direct and figurative sense of this expression. I would like to describe every feature of my impression while visiting this park and my after-effects which are lasting even now in their euphoric colouring.

When I was going to this place I was constantly thinking of my would-be impressions while riding on the roller coaster or attending the aqua park with chilling patterns at the end of riding. I was confused when the flow of my thoughts deepened too much and when I finally reached this place and sighed because of the huge size of the park area and its attractive outlook with perpetual screaming heard here and there.

For sure, it made me speed up at the cash control point. I even asked people standing before me in the queue to let me through, because my sister could not find the way out. Of course, it was a joke, but a rather effective one. It stimulated me to reach to the roller coaster, and I by means of self-persistence and a sort of ruse got the roller coaster.

When the coaster started to move I did not know what to imagine when it reached the highest point from where my journey could begin with temporal short adventure with an effect of when life comes through before your eyes. It is not surprising that I experienced such feelings.

Moreover, the movement of the cart was hastening with every split second. I screamed every now and then I was afraid of any other turn on the way of the cart and these incredible and strong feelings of fear as well as excitement were emphasized when hearing the same loud scream coming from your neighbours.

This unrestrained torrent of emotions and high spirits was felt in the atmosphere. Believe me or not, but at that moment I took pity that I had not gone and powdered nose before coming to the attraction. One man sitting near to me was screaming definitely like a girl.

There is no doubt, that after roller coaster his vocal cords changed their sounding. When all turns were omitted and the ups and downs were behind there came a sigh of relief out of me unintentionally. In fact, I did not perceive myself in that reality. I felt noise and shiver and could not think of something until an instructor unlocked safety belts for me to get off the cart.

Then I just visited aqua park with drops of water being everywhere on me and it reminded me the picture of my childhood when we used water guns and tried to hit each other in the backyard. I ate a great amount of cotton candy and also drank a lot of coke. All in all my opinion is rather high and positive due to unforgettable emotions which I experienced there.

A Visit To An Amusement Park (Essay/Paper Sample)

A VISIT TO AN AMUSEMENT PARK

It was one boring Saturday, just a few days after my summer holidays began. I had travelled to Toronto to stay with my mum. She is an artist and she wanted me to help her develop a collection for her next art exhibition. As always, if I wasn’t reading a novel, I would be busy painting or drawing. But that day was kind of different. I sat on the couch at corner, held my laptop, read several art blogs and posted comments. I tried social media, even funny posts could not move me. I was just so uneasy and bored. Was it the heat or what? I couldn’t really figure it out.

“Paulette and I are going to the amusement park at Vaughan. Want to come?” mum asked. She stood leaning against the wall, dressed in denim jeans and a loose white chiffon top. She loved heels but that day she was in oxfords. Her hair was loosely held in a bun and her beautiful watery hazel eyes looked directly at me, behind sunglasses though. She was just like a model awaiting a photo shoot. “You look great ma!” I could not help but comment with an awe expression on my face “and yes, I am going with you guys.” I replied.

Canada’s Wonderland Amusement Park was our destination. At first I felt like amusement parks were for kids but that day I got the best shock of my life. Trust me it is fun and adventurous. It feels like going to the moon and back. Paulette, my mother’s best friend, was particularly out of control. All she did was take photos, run around the vast parking lot and shout, “Oh girls, I am so excited!” We finally bought tickets, got a map and went in.

There were too many rides in the park. We started with the Flight Deck. For a moment, I felt my heart throb hard against my chest at an increasing pace as if it wanted to come out. Cold sweat trickled slowly down my spine. The palm of my hands got wetter as seconds passed as I clung tightly to the rail. I could feel a great gush of adrenaline in my system and I did not even notice when and how I started to scream so loud like a banshee. What an experience that was! Time Warp was not so different. We just had to lie on our bellies instead of sitting. All I could do was close my eyes, hold my teeth together and pray that the whole affair ends so quickly. I could not handle any more circular movements. The little strength I had left was preserved for the Leviathan, the longest roller coaster in the park. That was the climax, the mother of all rides. I left that place momentarily deaf, because tears blocked my ears and my eyes were slightly watery and my throat was sore from all the screaming.

A ride on the bumper cars made me feel 15 years younger. Mum opted to take photos of us as we (Paulette and I) bumped into each other’s rides. We made a lot of noise. I felt like a kid once again. After all the fun, we were really tired. It was getting late already. We had to go back home. I really had lots of fun. If being a child could give one such pleasure and happiness, I would not really wish to grow up any time soon. I promised myself to go back and cover the places I did not go to. I could not wait to brag to my friends about my experience.

There were many big and small rides. There was a big roller-coaster and a giant wheel. Small rides like caterpillar coaster, pony ride and octopus ride were fun. There was a big swimming pool. It had four slides and people were having fun sliding down and jumping into the pool.

My parents take me to the park every day, and I love it. It helps me clear my mind, spend time with my friends, and feel good. I love checking out the basketball court and look forward to using the swings. Sometimes we go boating together since my park has a beautiful lake. A lot of grownups come here to do birdwatching and catch the sunrise. My day would be so dull if parks didn’t exist. The park I visit adds colours, fun, and meaning and gives me something to look forward to in the evenings. A day at the park is like spending a day filled with fun and games. There’s nothing but tons of entertainment and recreation! I made a few new friends, and we used the see-saws together. No vehicles are allowed in the park; the best part is that it is always so clean. The cotton candy seller is nice and gives me great discounts whenever I visit. I regularly visit the park nearby and bring plenty of snacks from home to share with my friends. Sometimes, I go for an after-meal walk with my parents. It is so satisfying and calming. Playing in the park is so much fun!

The primary purpose of visiting a park is to take the time to unwind and relax. Here is a long   essay for class 3 kids on parks:

We love watching the sunrise, and the red glow is magical.

We once had a picnic at the park last summer. It was great, and I enjoyed the food while exploring all the different paths. I think parks set an example for society and teach us how to look after the earth. Life would be dull if parks didn’t exist. After studying for hours at home, all I want to do is play at the park. I see many vendors come here and sell snacks, and my parents sometimes give me pocket money to enjoy them. My favourite snacks at the park are popcorn, cotton candy, and gummy bears. I love using the hanging bars at the park and hanging on for as long as I can! It’s a great exercise and it helps me stretch. Sometimes I walk to the park with my parents at night, which is fun because I get to spend quality time with my family.

Setting Description Thesaurus: Amusement Park

October 11, 2008 by BECCA PUGLISI

descriptive essay on visit to an amusement park

Ferris wheel, roller coaster, haunted house, log ride, tea cup ride, sizzler, swinging pirate ship, mazes, fun house mirrors, Psychic tent, spinning apple ride, airplane ride, pony ride, boat rides, water gun boats, mini golf, go carts, bumper cars, merry-go-round, slides, kiddie ball pit/climbing area, carnival games: ring toss, guessing games, floating duck fishing…

Too-loud music, screams, laughter, cheering, chanting, singing, bells, crying, clanking ride chains, whooshing of air brakes, chugging machinery, squealing brakes, feet running, people calling out to each other, corn popping, fries/donuts sizzling in vats of oil, pinging sound of game targets, pinball machines, balls rolling and thudding down game chutes or hitting the booth backdrop, balloons popping, the jingle of change…

Cigarettes, cotton candy, popcorn, french fries, mini donuts, grease, sugar, hot pavement, oiled machinery…

All manner of food & drink: popcorn, cotton candy, candy apples, burgers, corn dogs, doughnuts, ice cream, chocolate, fries, chips, pop, slushies, water, lemonade, rock candy…

Metal bars, seats with cracked padded cushions, handles with chipped paint, seat bets, plastic steering wheels & levers, worn balls, smooth plastic rings, greasy food, dripping ice cream, blotting blobs of ketchup off a shirt, crinkling up a hamburger wrapper, the icy cool of holding a fresh water bottle on the fingertips, thirst…

Helpful hints:

–The words you choose can convey atmosphere and mood.

Example 1: At the top of the Ferris wheel, the musical roar of the carnival dimmed, letting in the sound of the Amy’s excited giggles and the crinkle of paper from the rolled-up bag of popcorn she held tight in one small fist. We shared a grin as she kicked her feet out at the open air. I loved this moment, I lived for it every year–when we reached the pinnacle of the rotation as the carriage opposite us stopped to exchange passengers. I pulled in a deep, clean breath. For one moment everything seemed so clear, so full of potential. So reachable. I could do anything I put my mind to.

The wheel shuddered to life, pulling forward, and then down. As we sank toward the ground my mind returned to the fight I’d had with Mary right before I left home, the constant buzzing of my work phone in my pocket. As we descended I grew heavier, the fog of music and noise enveloping me, dropping me back into reality….

–Similes and metaphors create strong imagery when used sparingly.

Example 1: (Metaphor)  Joel shoved his broom against the dirty concrete, shuffling along the peanut shells, candy wrappers and bottle tops. After the rides were grounded and the music silenced, the fairground show its true colors. Not many saw it as he did, when the wind brushed hot dog wrappers up against greasy smeared tent flaps and the moonlight pointed out the faded signs and peeling paint. Once the last echos of laughter had disappeared along with the flashing lights and colorful balloons…well, peel back the carnival glitz and all you find is a corpse staring back at you….

Personally, I prefer seaside amusement parks. 🙂 Ironically enough, when this posted, I was at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk riding rides and eating food that I’d never eat at home. Coney Island and Santa Cruz have places in my heart. Even though Coney Island is slowly being dismantled. *grumble* But one of my favorite smells is that amalgam of fried food, sweets, cotton candy, salt water taffy and everything else that’s sold on the Boardwalk. That combined smell is sucha comfort.

You gals are wonderful. I hope you know you are helping a whole generation of upstarts to become better writers, and will probably have a hand in much of the richer literature to come.

Becca, only the finest cuts of meat go into hot dogs–everyone knows that the whole ‘gristle and butt meat’ is an Urban Myth.

Another wonderful post! Just reading all the descriptive words I was there, in the amusement park.

October 11, 2008 at 7:43 pm

Wonderful, Angela. Would you like to tell us what they put in hot dogs and ruin that for us, too?

Oh Marian. Marian, Marian, Marian. Have you never made doughnuts or seen them being made?

You know what…never mind. We’ll live the fantasy together!

YES Doughnuts are baked. Perfectly healthy, full of broccoli and spinach and other good things! Eat!

October 11, 2008 at 9:30 am

Until now I didn’t know donuts were fried in “vats of oil”. I thought they were baked.

And I can’t help thinking back on all the donuts I’ve ever eaten, for some reason…
