Established in 2016 B.S (1959 A.D.), Tribhuvan University is the oldest and the most popular university in Nepal. The university offers programs in Bachelor's, Master's, M.Phil, and Ph.D. levels. Tribhuvan University (TU) is mainly funded by the government making it more affordable than other universities in Nepal.

Tribhuvan University has a well-deserved reputation in academia and industry. The university has been ranked as the 801-1000th best university in the world by Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2018 and 2019. TU is also one of the largest universities in the world in terms of the number of students enrolled.

There are five technical institutes and four general faculties in the university. The five technical institutes are Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Institute of Medicine (IOM), Institute of Engineering(IOE), Institute of Science and Technology (IoST), and Institute of Forestry (IoF). Similarly, the four general faculties are Faculty of Management, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Law.

In addition to the technical institutes and general faculties, TU also has four research centers dedicated to scholarly research namely Centre for Economic Development and Administration (CEDA), Centre for Nepal and Asian Studies (CNAS), formerly called the Institute for Nepal and Asian Studies (INAS), Research Centre for Applied Science and Technology (RECAST), and Research Centre for Educational Innovation and Development (CERID).

Organizational Structure

The Prime Minister of Nepal is the ceremonial chief, the Chancellor of the University, whereas the Minister of Education is the Pro-Chancellor. The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive of the university who is assisted by the Rector in academic programs and the Registrar in financial management and general administration.

2 Ways To Check TU Results With Mark Sheet via SMS?

The TU results are out!

But do you know how to check TU results with a mark sheet via SMS ? If you are a TU student who is waiting for results, then you would want to read this. 

As of Aug 18, 2021, Tribhuvan University office of the controller of Examination has published the results of 4 Years B.Sc 3rd, M.Ed first results, and MA results for various batches in the month of August. 

Now you can check the TU results with the mark sheet via SMS regardless of your course plan. How do you do it? Let’s take a look.

Check TU results with the mark sheet via SMS 

The reason why we are highlighting SMS here is that a lot of people don’t have access to the internet all the time. While some are out for work, some don’t have an internet collection at home and some are just low in data to access the internet. In such cases checking results with Marksheet becomes a lot harder. So in order to mitigate this issue, TU has provided the service of knowing TU results with a mark sheet via SMS. To do this all you need to do is:

• Send it to 34949

Do keep in mind that since this is SMS the mark sheets won’t be arranged in any tabular form but rather will be sent to you in a simple format of subject <space> obtained marks. 

Check TU results via the website

Now for those who can access the internet, you can go to their official website and check TU results directly. The results will be shown as “remark P Is PASS” or “remarks F Is FAIL” . To check the TU results via the website you need to:

• Visit the official TU website
• Select your faculty 
• Enter your symbol number
• Click on “view result”

Note* TU has stopped publishing their results on tu.ntc.net.np so you will need to visit their official site to check the results.
