An equivalent degree accredited by an institute or university in the subject/related subject in which the candidate intends to pursue a course of study or related subject.Candidates/disabled belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-cream stratum) or candidates who have previously obtained a master's degree will be given a 5% reduction in grade from 55% to 50% or equivalent grade/ CGPA relaxation may be granted. Graduated with her 55% of credits at a recognized university/institution in India for at least 2 semesters or with an equivalent degree at an institution abroad (for direct doctoral programmes).

In a first, PRSU to start PhD at its 5 colleges from this year

Phd courses will be offered by five affiliated colleges of prof rajendra singh state university in addition to the main campus from this year. a total of 534 seats in 24 subjects have been filled through the entrance exam held on may 2, with 368 candidates qualifying for admission. subjects include hindi literature, sanskrit, ancient history, philosophy, geography, sociology, social work, commerce, economics, political science, and defense studies..

For the first time, PhD courses would also be offered by five affiliated colleges of Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) State University besides the varsity’s own main campus from this year. This time the varsity has undertaken admissions to 534 seats of PhD in 24 subjects, said university officials.

The university administration had released the list of research centres and research supervisors. This includes three research centres allowed to undertake doctoral research including the university’s main campus in Prayagraj as well as one each in Pratapgarh, Kaushambi and Fatehpur districts, said Avinash Kumar Srivastava, PRSU’s public relations officer and a senior faculty member of the philosophy department of the university.

Following the development, now PhD courses would be offered by the state university’s main campus, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna PG College in Naini and Kulbashkar Ashram PG College in Prayagraj district. Likewise, Swami Karpatri Ji Maharaj Government PG College of Pratapgarh, Dr BR Ambedkar PG College of Fatehpur, Bhavans Mehta Mahavidyalaya, Bharwari of Kaushambi too have been allowed to offer PhD courses in select subjects, he shared.

Following the admissions undertaken through a combined PhD entrance exam, presently the predoctoral courses of the selected scholars are underway at the main campus of the varsity, he added.

This time admissions against 534 seats in 24 subjects have been undertaken through the entrance exam held on May 2. A total of 1,887 candidates had appeared in the entrance examination out of which a total of 828 candidates were declared successful for the interview round.

A total of 1,196 candidates including 368 JRF had appeared in the interviews. This time 368 JRF candidates have qualified for admission in PhD courses of the varsity.

Among these, doctoral research work will be done on varsity’s main campus in 11 subjects which are Hindi literature, Sanskrit, Ancient History, Philosophy, Geography, Sociology, Social Work, Commerce, Economics, Political Science and Defense Studies.

At the same time, doctoral research will be done in the subjects of agricultural economics, horticulture, agricultural extension, soil science and plant breeding in Kulbhaskar Ashram PG College. In Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna PG College, Naini, doctoral research will be done in the subjects of English, medieval history, zoology, botany, chemistry and physics.

PhD research in English would take place at Swami Karpatri Ji Maharaj Government PG College of Pratapgarh while doctoral research in Zoology would take place at Dr BR Ambedkar PG College of Fatehpur.

Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Raipur is a state public university established by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 1964. The university is named after the first chief minister of Madhya Pradesh i.e. M.P. Shri Ravi Shankar Shukla. The university is popularly known as PRSU Raipur . It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). PRSU has been ranked 78th in NIRF Ranking 2022 in the pharmacy category. Furthermore, the university was also ranked in the 150 - 200 band in the university category in NIRF Ranking 2022.

The gigantic campus of the university covers an area of 300.17 acres of land. PRSU offers certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees. Overall: I have done my course in this college because this college is amazing. The labs are air conditioning and the classes are pretty cool. Proper projector and raptor boards are in the classes.

Placement: This college placements depends on the season actually. If we work hard then even if the placement are low, we can simply achieve some decent company by our hardwork.

Infrastructure: This college has classes have cameras and good benches. As far as I know the syllabus is pretty updated. And the course I enrolled in was mca and whatever I learnt in this University.

Faculty: The college does have modern classrooms that are well equipped with smart learning boards. The paking facility is available for students who bring their two wheelers not a car.

Hostel: This college also hostels facilities are provided for their students. This hostel had a pretty chill and fun hostel life and got to explore in Raipur.

Overall: Their proactive approach enhances student learning, while well-structured exams reflect the effectiveness of teaching methodologies. Productive activities further nurture our personalities.

Infrastructure: Infrastructures of the college is nice and decent. The University has a fully functional computer centre. It provides transport facilities which includes buses and railway allowance. The university has a major sports corner for both indoor and outdoor games.

Faculty: Faculty members of our branch are good and some of them are assistant professors, professors, and doctors. They are very helpful. they are well qualified and their way of teaching was so good.

Hostel: hostel is affordable for students. It's easy for them to pay, and they can live comfortably. The hostel offers good and healthy food, plus you get 24/7 internet connection.

Instructions: 1) Course Work RM Classes to be conducted through an Online Platform i.e. Microsoft Teams for which Login credentials already provided on scholar’s registered Email ID. 2) Attendance criteria per subject will be considered according to the Course Work Circular uploaded on the website vide dated 07/02/2024. 3) It is mandatory to attend sessions during the entire course work classes.
