  • Why Are Essay Writing Services Becoming a Growing Business- Basic Reasons and Challenges

Essay Writing | November 14th, 2023 | By James Albright

growth of essay writing services

Essay writing service providers have seen a significant rise in recent years. Some time back, it was just a niche but has now become a growing and competitive business. But why? The simplest reason is the growing demand and needs of students and professionals. With the increasing pressure of academia and the changing dynamics of the digital age, there are several compelling factors contributing to the expansion of the essay writing services business.

People trust them with their assignments and requirements, but at the same time, they must face specific challenges. These challenges are not just for them; the online service providers are also under this umbrella. Let’s discuss the reasons and challenges with a balanced approach to meet the needs of today’s digital age. Here you go!

Reasons Behind Growing Essay Writing Service Business

The reasons below give you in-depth knowledge about the rising demand for writing companies online. Here you go!

Escalating Academic Pressure

One of the most prominent factors that fuel the essay writing service industry’s growth is the ever-increasing academic pressure on students at all levels of education. The relentless pursuit of high grades, coupled with the vast volume of assignments, exams, and projects, has left students overwhelmed and in desperate need of assistance.

Essay writing services provide a lifeline to these students, as they offer them a means to cope with the intense demands of their coursework.

Tight Schedules

Students are now pursuing various commitments like attending classes, having part-time jobs, engaging in extracurricular activities, and managing personal lives that can leave little time for comprehensive research and essay writing. Consequently, many students prefer online essay writing to help meet tight deadlines and maintain a balanced lifestyle.

Accuracy and Perfection

No doubt, reputable writing services like My Paper Writers offer polished, error-free, and well-researched content. So, those who want to excel academically and prosper professionally opt for these services. These essay writing services employ professional writers with extensive experience, which enables students to receive essays that meet the highest standards of quality and perfection. This pursuit of excellence has driven the demand for these services.

Accessible and Convenient

When everything becomes digitized, why not essay writing services? They have now become incredibly accessible and allow students to easily place orders, communicate with writers, and receive complete essays at the click of a button. These services become more appealing due to the convenience and efficiency of this process.

Customization and Personalization

Essay writing services offer a high degree of customization and personalization. Students can provide specific instructions, requirements, and preferences to ensure that the essays align with their individual needs.

This level of tailoring makes this service a growing business and a valuable resource for students with diverse backgrounds and study disciplines.

High-Quality Research and Writing

Another reason behind the success of online writing businesses is the way they hire professional essay writers who have access to extensive research resources and libraries.

Students trust them to produce well-researched and high-quality essays. Their expertise particularly appeals to students lacking the necessary research skills or access to relevant academic sources .

Guarantee of Plagiarism-Free Content

Reputable essay service providers ensure originality and academic integrity by guaranteeing plagiarism-free content. This business strategy attracts many students only if it ensures students receive essays that are entirely original. This assurance is a critical factor driving the growth of these services.

Enhanced Communication and Collaboration

Many essay writing services provide platforms for direct communication between students and writers. This collaborative approach is another reason for the growth of the business, as it allows students to actively participate in the writing process, enhancing their learning experience while receiving assistance.

Diverse Range of Services

Essay writing services have evolved to offer various academic assistance, including research papers, thesis writing, dissertation services, and more. This diversification has broadened their appeal and made them a comprehensive solution for students at various academic levels.

Challenges and Controversies Against Essay Writing Industry

Despite the growth of essay writing services, this industry faces various challenges and controversies. To understand why this business is thriving, it is essential to address the concerns that are rising alongside its expansion.

Academic Integrity Concerns

The potential threat to academic integrity is a top challenge for the writing industry. Critics argue that using these services may undermine the very essence of learning and evaluation, as students might submit essays they didn’t write themselves. In response to these concerns, some institutions have taken measures to curb the use of such services.

Legality and Ethics

The legality and ethics surrounding essay writing services are often a subject of debate. Many countries permit these services; others view them with skepticism. The ethical dilemmas faced by both students and writers have led to a wide controversy.

Quality Discrepancies

Not all essay writing services are honest, legitimate, and offer quality content. Quality discrepancies exist across different providers, and some may engage in unethical practices like fraud, plagiarism, or substandard work. The lack of regulation within the industry contributes to these differences.

Cost Concerns

Price concern is a real issue for some students, particularly those on a tight budget. We all know a high-quality service often comes with a premium price, which is not always accessible for a few who may genuinely need assistance.

Security and Privacy

Sharing personal information and academic details with online services can raise concerns about security and privacy. It is challenging for students to choose reputable and secure platforms to protect their sensitive data.

Over-Reliance on Essay Writing Services

A potential downside to the convenience of essay writing services is that students may become over-reliant on them. They should also learn to write an essay themselves. Otherwise, it can lead to a lack of essential academic skills, which are crucial for future success.

The Way Forward: Balancing Growth and Accountability

It is always essential to create a balance between meeting the needs of students and addressing the concerns and controversies that are rising. Here are a few great strategies for achieving this balance:

  • Promoting Academic Integrity: Educational institutions can implement stronger academic integrity policies , including teaching students the importance of honesty and ethical behavior in their academic work.
  • Regulation and Standardization: The industry can benefit from greater regulation and standardization to ensure quality and ethical conduct. The development of industry standards and best practices can help to address some of the concerns.
  • Affordability: Providing more affordable options and financial assistance to students can make quality essay writing services accessible to a broader range of individuals.
  • Ethical Considerations: Encouraging open discussions about the ethics of using essay writing services can help students make informed choices. Institutions can offer resources and support for students facing academic challenges.
  • Enhanced Transparency: Essay writing services can be more transparent about their practices, including pricing, writer qualifications, and quality control measures.

Ending Note

The essay or academic writing industry is booming and polishing its business due to the mentioned reasons. Still, they have to face specific challenges that cannot be neglected in any way. Being a student or a writing business, if you follow a systematic, balanced approach, you will never face hurdles.

The reasons for the immense growth of the writing business are numerous, but taking advantage of that is unethical. So, essay writing services have to share their part of honesty to make their business shine.

NEWS... BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

The rise of Essay Writing Services: A look at the ethics, legality, criticisms and defences of the VERY controversial industry

author image

The history of academic cheating is as long as the history of schools and universities themselves.

In ancient China, even the threat of the death penalty for cheating was not enough to put young scholars off trying any tactics that they could think of to get an advantage in the all-important civil service exams.

In the modern world, cheating at school or university is a lot less risky and also much easier. Google “essay writing services”, and you’ll get 3.7 million hits back in less than half a second.

Behind those hits are hundreds, if not thousands, of companies and individuals around the world offering to take the stress out of school or university by writing your essays for you.

Given the ease of accessing such services, it is no surprise that they are increasingly popular with stressed students who are struggling with the demands of their courses.

But just how common is so-called “contract cheating” becoming? In 2018, Professor Phil Newton of Swansea University set out to answer that question.

He went through forty years of surveys of students internationally to see how many of them admitted to getting someone else to write an essay for them. The results sent shockwaves through the academic community.

In the years 1978 to 2014, just under one in twenty students would admit to cheating like that. But in the years between 2014 and 2018, that number shot up to more than one in seven.

Doing the maths, Professor Newton calculated that around 31 million students around the world (including hundreds of thousands in the UK)  were getting someone else to write at least one essay for them each year.

In the five years since that study was completed, the situation seems to have got worse. Much worse according to Dr Thomas Lancaster of Imperial College London, the academic who coined the phrase “contract cheating” in the first place.

The rise of Essay Writing Services: A look at the ethics, legality, criticisms and defences of the VERY controversial industry

Dr Lancaster claims that the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent shift of education online have driven even more students to turn to the internet in search of essay writing services.

At the same time, the rise of sophisticated plagiarism detection software has made it much harder for students to just directly copy someone else’s essay.

But contract cheating gets around that by hiring someone else to produce an original piece of work, which can be almost guaranteed to pass the plagiarism detectors with flying colours.

According to research by Channel 4 , students in the UK using essay writing services have a less than 1% chance of being found out by their university.

The scale of the problem is clear. But it is not clear what can be done about it. So, we take a deep dive into this murky industry: identifying the different types of essay writing services and looking at the legal and ethical issues around using them.

We also look at the arguments in defence of essay writing services and highlight the solutions that could help prevent students from needing to use them in the first place.

Understanding essay writing services

Essay writing is a thriving industry that comes in a wide variety of different forms. The basic principle is that a student pays a company or an individual to write an essay for them.

At one end of the scale are huge companies like Write My Essay , which offer highly professional essays (which they can then submit as their own work).

At the other end are individual freelancers, who can be found on websites such as Upwork and Fiverr, who will create bespoke essays for their clients.

Such websites have rules forbidding academic cheating, but they don’t appear to be enforced, with job adverts requesting essay writing services regularly posted on the platforms.

In between the very big companies and the individual freelancers are the many so-called “essay mills”, that specialise in churning out original content for students.

The companies normally have websites that are more or less frank about what they are doing. Some claim to be offering simply “educational support” by providing a sample essay that should inspire a student rather than giving them something that they can just pretend is their own work.

Essay writing services vary enormously in price, but research by Dr Thomas Lancaster has shown that sourcing essays direct from individual writers can be very affordable for students.

The average price for a 2,000-word essay is just over $11, with most of the writers providing such services coming from Kenya, Pakistan and Nigeria. Further research by the same author found that students on Twitter are willing to pay up to $66 for a 2,000-word essay.

Are essay writing services illegal?

Hiring someone to write an essay for you might be cheating but does that actually make it illegal? The answer to that question varies depending on which country you are in.

In many places, including most US states, using an essay writing service is actually perfectly legal . The reason for that is that such services only claim to be providing students with sample essays so present themselves as simply online tutors.

However, governments are coming under increasing pressure from universities to use the law to clamp down on the problem, and an increasing number have responded by making such services illegal.

New Zealand was one of the pioneers in such legislation, leading the way in legislating against essay mills. Other places that have already done the same include Australia, Ireland and several US states.

In April 2022, the UK government followed suit. Now it is illegal to either provide or use essay writing services in the UK . As of June 2023, no actual criminal charges have been brought against anyone under the new legislation.

Perhaps recognising the difficulty in enforcing this law, the British government has written to internet search engines and service providers asking them to “do everything in your power to prevent the advertising of these unscrupulous practices”. Nevertheless, a simple search on google.co.uk will return thousands of hits for various companies.

Even in those countries that have not yet banned essay writing services, submitting someone else’s work as your own is certainly a breach of university and college policies.

So, while students in most US states might not face criminal charges for using such a service, they are very likely to find themselves facing serious penalties from their institution. Such penalties could go as far as seeing them kicked off their course.

Still, given the difficulties in detecting content that has been written by a third party for a student to submit, that’s a risk that many are prepared to take.

Research has shown that up to 50% of students would consider cheating as long as they were confident that they could get away with it.

Ethical Aspects

Regardless of whether essay writing services are legal in a particular country, serious questions remain about the ethics of getting someone else to do your work for you.

After all, degrees are awarded on the basis of a student’s intelligence and ability to work hard and give them privileged access to jobs and other opportunities as a result. So, surely, it’s wrong to steal an advantage over your more honest peers by just paying someone to do the work for you?

Another ethical consideration is that if students are cheating to gain qualifications does that mean that they might get a job that they are not really qualified for?

And how much more serious do those ethical questions become if, for example, someone is qualifying as a doctor on the basis of work that someone else did for them? In such cases, academic cheating can have serious real-world consequences in terms of impacting patient safety.

Essay writing companies have also been accused of preying on vulnerable students and encouraging dependency on their services.

By doing so, they prevent those students from developing the knowledge and critical thinking skills that are supposed to be the whole point of education. Other concerns have been raised about the fact that essay writing services expose students to the risk of blackmail.

In defence of essay writing services

Nevertheless, despite all the legal and ethical charges levied against them, essay writing services do have their defenders.

Some see them as essential services for stressed out students who are unable to cope with the pressure of having to submit too many assignments, especially when they are using them for subjects that they do not intend to major in.

Others have argued that in the real world after university, people will always collaborate with others and commission them to do work, so why shouldn’t they do the same during their academic careers?

Some commentators have stated that modern students have been brought up in a sharing economy with unlimited access to the resources they need online, so why shouldn’t they use essay writing services too?

Other arguments have focused on the struggles of students who are non-native speakers of English.

Many foreign speakers travel to English-speaking countries to complete their education and use essay writing services to overcome the stresses and difficulties of studying in a foreign language and to put themselves on the same playing field as their peers.

Other students find themselves forced to study in English even when in their own country, which can again prompt them to try to level the playing field by turning to essay writing services.

The basic thrust of many of the arguments that defend such services is that they are filling gaps that the university itself should be filling.

If universities provided proper support, less students would need to turn to essay writing services in the first place.

Prevention and solutions

So, what can be done to prevent the rise of essay writing services? As the arguments in defence of such services suggest, universities can do more to support students, especially those who are not native speakers or who have learning difficulties.

More academic and pastoral support could reduce students’ reliance on contract cheating. For example, overstressed students should be encouraged to speak with their tutors to request the extra time that they might need to complete assignments, which would prevent them from turning to essay writing services in the days before their deadline.

There are also technical solutions emerging that might prevent students from using such services.

As Dr Lancaster has explained , such technology works by “identifying how we all write. We’ve all got a unique style and it shows in how complex our language is, the words we use too much, indicators like that. If you suddenly then hand in something written with a different writing style, that’s suspicious.”

Finally, more might need to be done to explain to students the importance of not using such services and the ethical issues involved in their use.

As Dr Grant Klinkum of New Zealand’s Qualifications Authority, has said, “Some of our values, based on some Renaissance idea of the value and importance of intellectual endeavour and so on, may not be shared by increasing numbers of students… This is not about immoral students. This is about varied values.”

As we have seen, essay writing services are thriving, despite increasing attempts to clamp down on them through legislation.

Despite all the ethical issues surrounding their use, desperate students will turn to them, especially because there is little chance of them getting caught.

What do you think? Should more be done to prevent students from using essay writing services and to crack down harder on those who do?

Or should we focus on the positive sides of such services and see them as just another aspect of modern education that helps students to learn and develop? Whatever your answers to those questions, it seems certain that essay writing services are here to stay, and some students will continue to use them for as long as they can get away with it.

Essays for sale: the booming online industry in writing academic work to order

Selling essays, assignments and even PhDs is big business – and legal, although everyone knows many students will submit the work as their own

I t takes about three minutes to order a final dissertation for an English literature degree at the UK Essays website. I pick my country, subject and required grade. I go for a 2:1, choose a length – let’s say 5,000 words – a seven-day deadline, and watch the price calculator hit £687 (or £1,236 for a two-day turnaround). Click “next step” and I can enter my topic before being matched with a suitable writer, who will produce an essay “personalised to my requirements”. It would come with a series of promises. “The work we produce is guaranteed to meet the grade you order, or you get your money back.” It will also be “100% free from plagiarism” – and on time.

All of this would be totally legal and, the owners of UK Essays insist, ethical, too – because what its customers are definitely not supposed to do is submit the work as their own. “Our essays … are the best, most useful study aid in the world,” says Daniel Dennehy, chief operating officer at All Answers, the Nottinghamshire company that owns UK Essays. “They increase any student’s understanding of a topic, which subsequently improves their ability to write an excellent, unique answer of their own.”

UK Essays says it sold 16,000 assignments last year, up from 10,000 five years earlier, written by a network of 3,500 researchers. The company’s “fair use policy”, which requires a click away from the order page, spells out the rules. “Even if you did make minor alterations to the researcher’s work, this would still be considered plagiarism,” it warns. But, Dennehy accepts, “I have worked here for nine years and I am not naive enough to think that all our clients use the work correctly.” He declines to estimate what proportion of his customers are cheats.

The growth of these sites, which are known as essay mills, is now troubling the higher levels of government. Jo Johnson, the universities minister, has appealed to student bodies and universities to help tackle so-called “contract plagiarism” , which he sees as a growing threat to academic integrity. New guidelines, to be published in time for the next academic year, are expected to recommend a new sector-wide policy, and the government has not ruled out beefing up the law.

Universities minister Jo Johnson

The intervention follows a report published last summer by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), which maintains standards in higher education. It found that anti-plagiarism policies were variable across universities, and that fraud law isn’t robust enough to legislate against the misuse of essay mills. It also suggested a ban on advertising, and explored the role of search engines, which present hundreds of results to students looking for essays.

The government believes there are more than 100 mills in operation, churning out anything from B-grade GCSE coursework (£106 on UK Essays) to a 100,000-word PhD in criminal law (£82,238). “But our research suggests it’s more like 1,000 sites,” says Prof Phil Newton , the director of learning and teaching at Swansea University and an expert in academic plagiarism. Previous estimates suggest that more than 20,000 students a year in the UK are paying for essays to get degrees. The true figure may be much higher.

“This is a very fast-moving problem, which the sector and legislation has been slow to address,” Newton adds. “When I started researching it in 2009, I couldn’t believe what was available and how little research had been done. On some sites you can even enter your course code and the name of your lecturer and the writer will tailor an essay to that. To the man on the street,” he adds, “it’s very odd that this sort of thing is legal.”

Universities are equipped to detect old-fashioned, cut-and-paste plagiarism. Software such as Turnitin , which claims 97% of UK universities as customers, flags up passages it identifies in existing sources. But it cannot detect an original essay written by someone else. Even when lecturers suspect foul play, it can be hard to know how to act. “I had one instance recently when a student received a much higher mark than expected,” says a senior lecturer at a London university, who asked not to be named. “His work had a level of fluency and sophistication of thought that hadn’t been seen. But I wasn’t 100% sure, because I think he wrote parts of the essay in his own style to throw me off, so I left it. It’s a minefield.”

Opinion is divided over how to respond, however, and whether tighter rules or laws risk driving would-be cheats to the darker edges of the “model answers industry”, as essay mills prefer to be called. Many students have reported being ripped off with shoddy work, or none at all. But there is also concern that contract plagiarism, while obviously wrong, is a symptom of what critics describe as the commodification of higher education.

International students in the UK now pay between around £15,000 and £40,000 a year in tuition fees. Those from outside the EU paid £4.2bn in fees in 2014-15, almost 30% of universities’ income from fees – and almost 13% of their total income.

Universities depend on foreign students with deep pockets, which is why they are fighting government plans to bring numbers down. Dave Tomar, a former mill writer in the US, says this means universities too often sell places to ill-equipped students, many of whom arrive with limited written English or awareness of British academic norms. “The vast majority of students who cheat aren’t lazy, but struggling,” he says. “They have invested so much that they don’t want to blow it by failing.”

In 10 years, Tomar, 37, says he wrote about 4,000 assignments for customers, including hundreds in Britain. Before he quit in 2013, he says he earned $60,000 (almost £50,000) a year; he says writers generally get about half the essay fee. “Whatever their motivations, this is a symptom, not the illness,” he adds from his home in Philadelphia, where he now writes about education reform after the success of The Shadow Scholar, a book about his former life. “We need a broader conversation about how educational systems are failing these students such that they end up in college way over their heads.”

While studying a language at Cambridge University, Claire (not her real name) wrote essays during her first year, and also understood that most of her customers were not British. “You have a UK system reliant on foreign students while, through the backdoor, companies are devaluing the very degree certificates that attract all that foreign money in the first place,” she says in an email, describing the result as “a wonderful downward spiral of devaluation”.

Newton accepts that, in some places, students arrive without sufficient skills to complete good written work. But he says students know when they are crossing a line, and that penalties for plagiarism are generally tough already (cheats at Swansea are expelled). What has changed, he adds, is the increasing accessibility and slick presentation of many of the sites, which appeal to students who might not otherwise resort to cheating. “The easier it is, the more likely it is to happen,” he says.

Not all essay mills, which began to proliferate over a decade ago, do much to put off would-be cheats. OK Essay, which last year removed adverts from London Underground stations near universities after complaints, claims on its homepage to have more than 10,000 customers. “Looking for experts to ‘Write my essay for me’? Choose us and we won’t disappoint you!” Deep in the terms and conditions, the mill says it will not be liable “for the outcome or consequences of submission [of] the paper to any academic institution”. Nowhere does it explicitly advise against it.

Posing as a struggling history student, I call the customer support line for clarification. “If I want to use the essay as my own work, is that possible?” I ask. “I’m not able to tell you whether it’s possible or not. We just write the paper for you and you can use it for what you want,” the agent says. The company says it is based in Sheffield, but there is no address on the website, which also hides its domain registration details. The terms and conditions say the site is owned by Elabama Inc, a company registered in Panama. “So it would be at my own risk?” I ask. “You can just use it at your own risk – it’s what our disclaimer says on our website. It’s meant to serve as example … You can get it, read it, shake it and if you like it you can use it, if you don’t like it you can fix it to [be] like you want it and use it.” When I call back as a journalist, I am given an email address but none of my questions are answered, and despite further calls and emails, there is no response to the suggestion that the company appears to condone cheating.

Claire wrote for Oxbridge Essays, a prominent site with offices in London. “It was clear to everyone involved what was going on,” she recalls. Yet she found the work stimulating as well as lucrative after quitting a “soul-destroying” temp job. “I didn’t worry too much about the ethics at first because I felt bitter about the fact this was the only way I could find work that was interesting and rewarding,” she says. “I got paid £200 for the first one. I was 19 and that was a lot of money.”

In 2013, the Advertising Standards Authority ruled that Oxbridge Essays had breached its code by guaranteeing “that you will receive at least the grade you order”. The implication of the promise contradicted the company’s terms, which prohibit the submission of its essays, the authority found. Philip Malamatinas, who launched the site in 2006, declines to answer questions. Nor does he respond to Claire’s claim that the company knew what was going on. “We work with thousands of students who come to us having been let down by a system designed to penalise those for whom English is a second language, and who typically pay three or four times as much as UK students in tuition fees,” he writes in a statement. “Sadly, our universities are simply too stretched to provide the same level of support to all and as a result, students are turning to private enterprises to subsidise their educational needs.”

Mills are not the only people making a case for model answers. “I think they’re incredibly valuable, especially for international students,” says Alexander Proudfoot, chief executive of Independent Higher Education (formerly Study UK), which represents more than 130 private institutions. He attended a QAA plagiarism forum before the publication of last year’s report. “We’d be happy for there to be a national database of essays. If you made them accessible then the demand for essay mills goes out the window [see footnote].”

Newton, who also sat on the forum, is not convinced, preferring “to show students how things are structured and what it looks like to write an essay”. Either way, he adds: “When you can give a precise title and specify the grade and the referencing and sources, that’s something very different.” No essay site I approach will explain why, if their work is only intended to be used as a model, they are so keen to guarantee originality, sometimes two days before a deadline, if not to help students elude plagiarism detection software.

Newton believes part of the solution must be a requirement for more face-to-face and practical assessment. Proudfoot says institutions should find resources for essay-writing and critical-thinking classes, as well as tutorial support for students who “find themselves backed into a corner”. Claire agrees. She gave up when the demands of her own studies left her too busy to write for other students. “My dad also told me, ‘You might not be thinking about the wider repercussions of this now, but think about later,’ and I thought – you know, you might be right.”

Why are Essay-Writing Businesses So Popular?

Why are Essay-Writing Businesses So Popular?

The internet and its ever-expanding and accommodating nature never fails to amaze its witnesses. The World Wide Web is quick to identify market gaps and fill those in the most efficient and holistic ways possible.

One such internet rage that was identified was that of outsourcing writings – from essays and papers to articles and reviews. This industry has only burgeoned in the last couple of years and today, the internet is awash with people who call themselves “freelance writers.” Among these are businesses providing essay-writing services!

The fact that the Google keyword phrase “essay writing services” yields a hit of 51 million websites when doing a Google search clearly shows that businesses are thriving in this business.

The fact that such services exist in such large numbers demonstrates the growing popularity and demands of students, writers, and any other potential customers.

The burning question, however, is this: What makes essay-writing businesses so popular?

The 2 Sides of  Businesses

There are two sides, according to us, to this growing popularity – one, the side of the suppliers and the other, the side of the ones demanding these services.

Some of the major reasons of the increasing popularity are the variety of features that essay-writing services offer. These features go beyond just writing the essay; they are more holistic and are advertised in a way that is sure to lure students into using them.

An example of one such business that exemplifies innovation and a matchless service is BidForWriting .

Like a lot of other essay-writing services, Essaylook promises to maintain your privacy, which is an important factor for most students.

Essaylook logo

Moreover, they support writing a wide range of essay formats that range from creative and argumentative essays to standard and literary essays.

Furthermore, they provide customers with the option to selectively hire one of their many professional freelance writers with “M.A. and Ph.D. degrees.”

Essay-Writing Services are MORE than Just Writing Services

In addition to this, and as a cherry on top, most essay-writing services have mushroomed into proofreading and editing services that are, of course, much cheaper than writing entire essays.

Hence, these very characteristics and unique aspects of such businesses along with the relative ease with which one can find and hire them adds their steady growth.

Not everyone likes to use the many self-editing tips to boost their writing!

Who Outsources Writing… and WHY?

On the other side of the same coin are the customers and the ones that outsource writing. Of course, the reasons for which they decide to contract out their work varies, but there are several recurring reasons that have been observed:

1: Quite a few students face pressure from parents and teachers to achieve unrealistic targets and goals. Their belief that they aren’t good enough writers and thinkers results in them resorting to outsourcing their work.

2: Quite a few students justify their action by believing that writing papers and essays on most topics teaches very little and such archaic writing is suitable only for those whose future career requires extensive formal writing.

There are quite a few cases where students aren’t conventional, and are often working professionals who need to attain a Master’s degree to move up a rung on their career ladder or to get a raise. However, they don’t actually require any of the knowledge offered by the course, and hence they outsource their work.

3: Quite a few of these customers are people who have English as their Second Language (ESL) and hence find it extremely challenging and difficult to meet the fairly high expectations set by professors and teachers in universities and schools, respectively.

4: The most common reason amongst customers, however, is the number of competing commitments they face, several of whom have full-time jobs, children and family responsibilities, etc. They simply do not have the time do it all!

The Answer to Why Essay-Writing Services are So Popular

It is a combination of all of these reasons, smart advertising, and speedy services that have resulted in the insane popularity of essay-writing services worldwide, despite the controversy and debate on the ethics surrounding it.

Wording Well’s owner, Lorraine Reguly, is a freelance writer who is also a certified English teacher. She does not believe in writing essays for others, and even states this on her Writing Services page! It simply goes against her personal ethics.

That is why she accepts sponsored posts such as this one ( as well as link placements ) that promote services she does not offer!

Wow, I never realized that there was a niche based on social pressure ….funny how much we are pushed to be the best performer everywhere, isn’t it? reading this I realize that we are creating a generation full of insecurities who try to find a solution …outsourcing its own responsibilities! On the other hand, for those who are amazing writers this is an amazing opportunity. Thanks for this interesting article.

I agree with you, Tammy. Writers who don’t care what they write about as long as they get paid are the ones who work for these essay-writing companies!

Trends, The Rise of The Essay Writing Industry

why are essay writing services becoming a growing business

Reasons why students hire ghostwriters

Some students are not proficient at writing good essays that would guarantee them a good grade at the end of the semester. As a result, they end up seeking help from the writing industry so as to deliver quality work. The easy writing companies have experts in different fields of study that work to deliver quality work to the students.

As well, some students lack sufficient time to carry out their assignments because they have various commitments. Among them are job and family responsibilities hence making it difficult to manage them together with class work. This forces them to seek the help of ghostwriters so that they can complete and achieve good grades.

Another reason is that other students find themselves in a mood that makes it difficult for them to handle classwork. The thought of carrying out intensive research makes them hire ghostwriters so that they can work on their projects. This is a common case for the rich students because the writing services are costly.

Major competitors in the essay writing industry

The main competitors in the essay writing industry are the various companies that offer the service such as Essay Basics, customessayorder.com and EssaZoo among others. Each company has specific tactics that it uses in order to lure students into using their services. Among such tactics are different prices that offer the student a chance to choose according to their pockets, possible deadlines and different tutor qualifications. The students have the obligation of making a wise choice to ensure that the work delivered is worth their money. The companies have specialized in quality tutors hence increasing the amount of competition in the market.

In addition to the companies, the other competitors are online tutors that offer to write essays for sale. These tutors are a major competitor because they offer chances for price negotiation unlike most of the companies. The one-on-one level through which they work with the students makes it easy to deliver quality work. The private tutors make it easy for a student writing essay due to simplified research.

Problems with the academic writing industry

The internet is full of all kinds of people such as fraudsters. Such fraud causes a main problem for the academic writing industry because students fear to order essays and end up losing money. As a result, this has reduced the income that the companies obtain from their services. It also leads to students losing trust in them.

Also, the industry is faced with the issue of hacking. The hacking can be done by students to get their work done for free or the tutors to earn more than the allocated amount. When such a case happens, the companies end up losing huge amounts of money.

Concisely, the writing industry is growing at a very high rate hence calling for the users to be very keen about the issue of plagiarism while remaining relevant in the market. Experts from edujungles.com suggest that the industry is faced with different problems and the students should ensure that they don’t fall into the hands of fraudsters. The companies have to work their best in order to beat the rising competition. This can be done by having a good pricing strategy.

Starting your own essay writing business from home

why are essay writing services becoming a growing business

If you have ever thought about setting up an essay writing business at home, here are some tips to get you started.

The essay writing business world is on the rise, nowadays. Therefore, when starting this new venture, you should have a few things in consideration to ensure that you can be successful and that you receive regular monetary benefits from it. For starters, you should be aware that an essay writing service is like any other business with a product to offer, clients, competition etc.

Be ready! How? Here’s a look.

The first thing you should focus is to make your essay writing business as one of the best in this segment, let it be the top essay writing service. Hire brilliant paper writers with different skills and make sure they can write on any given topic or subject.

Human talent is your best asset here.

In order for people to buy papers you have to make quality essays, and this is a priority requirement to start things off, don’t let anything go in to the market without absolute perfection because this is going to be the face of your business. If it is signed by another person, then put all of that work together and build up your portfolio.

People like to see what they’re buying, especially students with low budgets. Include samples of different topics so you can have a wider client spectrum. Think of your customers: desperate students that want to order a paper because they don’t have time. And, they don’t know how or simply because they don’t want to do it themselves. There are many different websites like EssayService to provide diverse pricing packages that accommodate everyone’s wallet. Don’t forget to be as fast as you can. Time is money and the customers know it. But the faster the work needs to be done the higher the price is going to be.

Also, ask your clients for feedback and make them score you in stars. People want to know if you are worth investing. If your essay writing business is going to be on the Internet put effort on creating a good website with a nice look and that is user friendly. Also, you could start offering your service on other job platforms, build a solid buyers niche and then migrate, it’s a little faster and you’ll be in different sites at the same time. This helps build your portfolio and reputation a lot faster as you work internationally.

Most importantly, don’t get greedy with orders. Whether you work alone or as a team, you should not the amount of orders you can accommodate in a particular period of time. Learn to say no or next time to orders you can’t handle because it can also affect your current orders by you rushing to finish.

Definitively, it’s a competitive business, but there’s a lot of demand. If you have a solid team, quality content, great reviews, awesome deliver times and great page, you’re off to an excellent start.

The Science of Strong Business Writing

  • Bill Birchard

why are essay writing services becoming a growing business

Lessons from neurobiology

Brain scans are showing us in new detail exactly what entices readers. Scientists can see a group of midbrain neurons—the “reward circuit”—light up as people respond to everything from a simple metaphor to an unexpected story twist. The big takeaway? Whether you’re crafting an email to a colleague or an important report for the board, you can write in a way that delights readers on a primal level, releasing pleasure chemicals in their brains.

Bill Birchard is an author and writing coach who’s worked with many successful businesspeople. He’s drawn on that experience and his review of the scientific literature to identify eight features of satisfying writing: simplicity, specificity, surprise, stirring language, seductiveness, smart ideas, social content, and storytelling. In this article, he shares tips for using those eight S’s to captivate readers and help your message stick.

Strong writing skills are essential for anyone in business. You need them to effectively communicate with colleagues, employees, and bosses and to sell any ideas, products, or services you’re offering.

Want to Make Money As a Writer? Here's How to Write Things People Really Want to Read These were the strategies I used to build a healthy newsletter business.

By Nathan Baschez • Dec 4, 2023

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

Want to earn a living as a writer? Don't worry, you don't need professional training.

I'm proof of that. The newsletter I co-founded, Every , has nearly 70,000 subscribers, and we publish essays that help people understand technology, productivity, and AI. It drives a healthy business — even though my cofounder, Dan, and I were never professional writers. (My career has been in product.)

I won't lie: I've made a lot of mistakes since launching Every. I am a deeply flawed writer. But I do feel confident that I've learned some useful things about writing essays that spread on the internet.

Here are the frameworks, metaphors, aphorisms, and various other forms of advice that I find myself returning to when I struggle with writing.

Why essays spread

Every article has thrust and drag . The thrust of a piece is what motivates readers to invest the energy necessary to extract its meaning. It is the reason they click. Drag is everything that makes the reader's task harder, such as meandering intros, convoluted sentences, abstruse locution and even little things like a missing Oxford comma.

When your writing has more thrust than drag for a group of readers, it will spread and your audience will grow. Achieving this takes practice and experimentation.

The idea of thrust and drag may seem obvious, but it helps to decompose the problem of growing an audience into its component parts. Do you know what people want to read about? Can you channel that knowledge into compelling writing? These are independent variables, so work on one at a time.

Sources of obsession

How can you know what people want to read about? This is the hardest part about writing, at least for me.

My theory is that most people read deep non-fiction writing in order to cultivate an obsession . Some obsessions last weeks, others last decades. People are willing to skim and graze random articles, but that's not the kind of readership you want to attract. You want people to care.

The best advice I have for finding these people is to not try too hard. We've all seen the writers who are pandering to a recent trend or copying a "proven" format. It usually doesn't work, because in order to feed someone's obsession you need to be able to go unusually deep. This takes a lot of energy, and the benefits from writing are sufficiently uncertain to make it a bad bet to do so if you're only doing it to grow an audience.

A better (and more fun) strategy is to work unusually hard to cultivate your own obsessions. Run experiments! Do research! Try things! And, of course, write about it. When you're pursuing your own curiosity, it matters less if others immediately care. The work becomes its own reward.

Angles, not topics

I asked GPT-3 for a list of article ideas for me with the prompt: "My name is Nathan Baschez. Use what you know about me to suggest topics of articles I should write." This is what it came up with:

  • Strategies for successful startup growth and scaling
  • Analysis of emerging trends in the technology industry
  • The importance of brand storytelling in marketing
  • The role of effective leadership in building high-performing teams
  • The future of work and remote collaboration
  • Lessons learned from your experience building companies such as Substack
  • Innovation and disruption in media and journalism industries
  • The impact of social media on modern society and the changing nature of communication
  • Personal development and career growth strategies
  • The role of empathy and emotional intelligence in business success.

These are great topics, but none work as a starting point for an article. To start writing, I need a sharp angle.

For example, last week I was thinking about why ChatGPT broke out now when the underlying AI model is a couple of years old. I realized that the success of DALL-E 2 and Stable Diffusion helped spread a narrative that AI is exciting right now, which helped prime people to be excited about a new product like ChatGPT. This, to me, is a good angle. It's a specific question with a specific answer—not a general topic area like "the rise of AI."

But what makes a compelling angle?

Made to STIRC

Angles that spread usually check the following boxes:

  • Surprising — presents unexpected new information or theories
  • True — we actually believe it
  • Important — has an impact on our behavior
  • Relevant — related to domains we care about
  • Cool — we think we'll look impressive for sharing it

It's hard to come up with angles that fit all of these criteria. You're not going to be able to do it every week. But at least you know what you're looking for.

Find the central question

To sharpen your angles, ask yourself early in the writing process what the central question is. Once you can frame this, the rest of the piece becomes much easier to write.

"If I had an hour to solve a problem I'd spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and five minutes thinking about solutions." — Not Albert Einstein

For this piece, the central question is, "How can I write essays that spread online?" It seems obvious, but it was only something I figured out about halfway through the first draft. When I started writing, all I had was a fuzzy idea that I would write about the frameworks and theories about writing I've developed over the past three years. The original placeholder title was "writing advice." Most essays start this way.

Once you've found the central question, you can go back and re-orient everything you've written to provide answers as logically as possible.

Plot a logical through-line

Readers are more logical than most writers think. They'll bail on a piece if it meanders aimlessly, and they'll stick with it if it seems like most ideas follow logically from what came before, even if those ideas aren't terribly compelling.

I learned this lesson when I worked at Gimlet Media. When I sat in on meetings where editors would give the podcast producers and hosts feedback on rough cuts of episodes, I couldn't believe how logical their advice was. I thought the creative process was about hand-wavy, inexplicable, personal, and perhaps even emotional decisions. False! Logic also matters. You can't move people if they're confused.

The most common mistake when I'm editing is when a writer jumps from one idea to another without explanation or transition. You can reduce 50% of the drag in your writing if you edit yourself so that each line follows logically from what came before.

Use an organizing principle

So how do you ensure a logical flow of ideas? You could take it one sentence at a time, but that's hard. Especially when you're writing the first draft, if you don't have a foundational structure you can return to, you'll often have no idea what to say next.

My best-performing essays often have an organizing principle that makes the structure easy to follow. For example, this essay starts at the beginning of the creative process and follows in more or less chronological order. My most popular essay, " Why Content is King ," goes over each of Hamilton Helmer's 7 Powers in order, and shows how they apply to media. If you look at each of my most popular posts , you'll probably be able to identify a clear organizing principle.

Ask for feedback

Good feedback from the right kind of reader can transform an essay. Without the help of my colleagues at Every my writing wouldn't have spread nearly as far.

There are two types of people from whom you can get good feedback:

  • Professional editors
  • Readers in your target audience

Each has unique value to offer.

Professional editors who aren't familiar with your world won't have a nose for what your audience cares about, so they won't be able to add much thrust, but they can reduce drag and help you articulate your thoughts more clearly.

Readers in your target audience probably won't have the editorial prowess to improve sentences or help you structure a piece, but they can help you identify what works and doesn't about a draft. Because readers aren't used to giving feedback, I ask them to look out for anything that triggers the following reactions:

  • Disagree/don't believe

The acronym is ABCD, which is nice and memorable.

Set and meet sacred deadlines

I didn't set deadlines until last year, and it was by far my best and most prolific year as a writer. Once I committed to publishing weekly, everything improved. The numbers went up, sure, but more importantly I learned to control my creativity. I no longer need to wait for inspiration to strike, I just sit down and start working and I know eventually something good will come out.

When you're starting out, especially if you're writing on your own outside the context of an editorial organization, it will be hard to make a deadline feel sacred. The best way to do it is to start a newsletter where you promise you'll publish on a certain day of the week, every week, rain or shine. This is painful, but necessary. The best way to improve your writing is to publish a lot of writing. Hoarding drafts teaches you little.

Writing on the internet is like playing Battleship . You don't know how a piece will land until you put it out there. Over time, the more shots you take, the more you can form a map in your mind of what works and what doesn't.

Regard public recognition with bemused detachment

Never let the scoreboard (likes, views, subscribers, etc.) affect your motivation. This is impossible, of course, but it's worth striving toward. If publishing essays starts to feel like pulling the lever of a slot machine, you're in trouble. Writers do awful things when they become addicted to public recognition. It becomes a sort of game where they try to make the numbers go up, and they lose touch with the reason to write in the first place. This eventually has the perverse effect of making the numbers go down, because readers don't want to be pandered to.

I learned this the hard way. In the first year of Divinations, the growth metrics were all up and to the right. Gradually I began to feel as if I was on a high wire—one mediocre essay away from alienating my audience. The stress consumed me, and I stopped having fun writing. The numbers suffered, and I started writing less often so I could "focus on building the business." In retrospect, almost everything I did besides write or edit was a waste of time that cost the company significant momentum.

At some point early in 2022, I pulled myself out of this funk. I committed to a weekly publishing schedule. This structure did not make my anxiety disappear, but it did force me to confront it. I read a book called Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert that taught me an important lesson: writing can and should be fun. You should do it because you get a thrill out of it. Sure, it can also be hard, but so can everything. Focus on the parts you like. When you sit down to write, remind yourself that you're doing so in order to experience those fun, joyful moments. This taps into—and even expands—a much more durable form of motivation than public recognition: intrinsic satisfaction.

When you publish, of course you'll be happy if you get a good response. But the balanced reaction is more along the lines of "Huh, you liked that? Interesting…," rather than, "OMG they like me!!! I am not worthless after all!"

If I'm being honest, the hopes and dreams of that guy sitting under the bookshelf in the San Francisco apartment were closer to garnering the latter reaction than the former. I wanted to write so I could learn about business strategy, partly because I found the subject valuable and interesting, but also so I could become a Smart Guy™ in the eyes of tech Twitter. Now I'm not so sure how much that matters to me. I'm more attuned to the work that gives me joy and brings genuine value into the world. I still have an ego and perform my little routines to try and fortify it. But the ego has less of a death grip on me now. I can set it aside, and allow feelings like curiosity and joy take over when I write. It is and always will be a work in progress—a bit of a mess at times. But it's me. I'm learning to feel okay with that.

How to Write a Business Essay: an Ultimate Guide

Avatar photo

Table of Contents

Writing an essay can be boring. A lot of essays are basically the same thing over and over again. You write an introduction, then you write your supporting paragraphs, and then you create a conclusion. Overall, the process is not a lot of fun, and you can often feel as though you are simply going through the motions for the sake of churning out extra work. But since you have to write an essay, it’s worth considering the many ways that you can make the process faster and easier. In this ultimate guide, we’ll discuss the best way to write a business essay so you can get through the process faster and with relatively little trouble.

A graphic of a man sitting behind a desk, writing, with the title text: "Business Essay Writing Guide"

It might seem obvious, but the first thing you need to do when you write an essay is to read the essay question. You need to be sure you understand each part of the essay question and how the parts of the question work together. You would be surprised how many students only glance at the question and then write a paper that only partially addresses the assignment. You don’t want to lose points because part of your paper isn’t on topic. If you find any parts of the paper that you don’t understand or that require explanation, be sure to contact your instructor for clarification before you start writing.

Read the essay rubric

These days, most essays have a grading rubric included with the question. A grading rubric is like a cheat sheet for writing your essay. When you review the essay rubric, you’ll see exactly how your instructor will grade your paper and what your instructor will be looking for. When you write your paper, you will therefore know exactly what to include and how to write about it in order to maximize your points—and you’ll also see what you can spend less time on because it won’t contribute to your overall grade.

Make friends with your library

Many students automatically turn to search engines like Google in order to research their papers, but this is not the most effective way to find high-quality business sources for your paper. Instead, take advantage of your library’s databases. Your college or university library will likely have dedicated business databases that collect high-quality academic articles on business topics. Using these resources in your paper will make your essay stronger and more effective, and it will put your paper on a solid academic footing.

Compile your sources before you write

Many students use the start-and-stop method to write their papers, composing a sentence or two and then stopping to look up more information in order to keep going. This, however, is an inefficient way to work. A better way is to read through your research sources before you start and copy into a separate file a series of quotations and facts that you might use in your paper, creating in-text citations and reference list entries for each before you start. Doing so will make sure that you don’t have to stop for research and have a ready bank of pre-cited material to work with as you write.

Outline before you write

Outlining is an important skill that will both save you time and improve the quality of your essay. Take time before you write to lay out your paper from beginning to end. Start with your thesis statement and carefully lay out the body paragraphs with a topic sentence, supporting details (including research, quotes, and citations ), and a closing paragraph . Plan your transitions to link paragraphs together. Any amount of outlining can be helpful, but the more effort that you put into outlining at this stage, the easier it will be to write your paper, and the less likely it will be that you get stuck in a tangent that goes nowhere or meander into a point that requires you to change your thesis and revise you whole essay.

Remember to revise and proofread

When you finish the draft of your paper, you aren’t done yet. The first draft is rarely the finished product. You should always set aside time to read your work back and to make revisions to make it clearer. You also need to carefully proofread for mechanical grammar, punctuation, and syntax issues to ensure that your paper is as close to perfect as possible. You don’t want to leave points on the table because your paper had easy to fix minor spelling or grammar errors.

Consider professional writing help

Another great way to get your paper done quickly is to seek out custom professional help from an essay writing service with academic experts. An online writing company such as this can create business papers for college students and deliver them fast. When you utilize professional writing assistance, you can receive a custom-written essay that can serve as a great model to help you understand how a professional would approach your business topic and organize and develop an essay to address your assignment. Using a model such as this can save you time and effort as you work on your own paper, allowing you to focus on the learning process more than the mechanics of academic essay writing.

This article was updated by the Great British Mag content team on 20 October 2021.

Have you seen essay writing agencies advertised and been tempted to give them a try? Keep reading to get a better understanding of what essay writing agencies are, how they work and the implications of using them can have on your university education.

What are essay writing agencies?

As a student, you probably have essay writing agencies very much on your radar. They advertise themselves relentlessly to university goers and seem to offer the perfect solution to tight deadlines.

If their marketing attempts have passed you by so far, a quick Google will pull up countless agencies that promise high-quality easy writing, editing and proofreading services for all levels of higher education.

For a fee, you can give the agency your essay title and any details you have on what should be included in the content, and they’ll have one of their writers complete it for you within a matter of days.

Are they legal to use?

The UK government announced in June 2021 that it is putting legislation in place to make essay writing agencies that provide pre-written or custom-made essays for students to present as their own illegal. England is leading on implementing these changes.

Do universities prohibit the use of essay writing agencies?

Absolutely – and they take it very seriously. In fact, there have been several calls over recent years from university leaders for the government to ban ‘essay mills’ (which the agencies are sometimes known as) entirely. In some countries like New Zealand, they’re actually illegal.

That said, some essay writing agencies frame themselves as providing educational support, in the same way that a private tutor might. They state that the essays they provide aren’t for handing in and passing off as your own work, but for using as a basis from which to research and write your own essay. That makes the legal waters murkier.

What do universities consider as cheating?

Handing in work that has been completed by someone else is definitely considered cheating – this includes getting a friend or family member to write your coursework for you, as well as going to an essay writing agency.

Despite this, a   study by Swansea University revealed more students than ever were paying for third parties to write their essays. It found that potentially as many as one in seven recent graduates from around the globe, which equates to around 31 million, had engaged in cheating in this way.

Indeed, a poll on Instagram that we recently ran suggested that around 25% of our student followers had handed in an essay that they didn’t write themselves.

Covid-19 seems to have caused an uptick in people using these services too, says Dr Thomas Lancaster , senior teaching fellow at Imperial College London, who has conducted several studies on the topic and actually coined the term ‘contract cheating’, which is what this form of cheating is often referred to as.

“The pandemic hasn’t helped with the situation. From my own research, we’re seeing many more requests for contract cheating services now than we were before Covid-19 disrupted the sector,” he says.

With students having to grapple with remote learning, a lack of access to libraries and less face-to-face teaching time, it’s no wonder that more are resorting to using essay-writing services. But no matter the circumstances that cause people to turn to this kind of servive, it’s very much still considered to be cheating.

How much do essay writing services charge?

This varies hugely depending on the agency, the academic level the essay is for and how close the deadline is. We’ve seen services advertised from as little as £4 for a 2:2 level essay with a long deadline, and up to £260 for a 3,000 assignment with a quick turnaround.

It’s worth remembering that if a deal on an essay writing agency website sounds too good to be true, it likely is. The cheapest companies will often use writers from overseas whose written English might not be up to scratch. That could not only impact the quality of the essay, but also make it obvious that it’s been written by someone else.

How likely am I to get caught?

In all honesty, identifying paid-for essays isn’t easy for university professors. Even if a university does have its suspicions, it’s not a straightforward offence to prove. That said, it’s certainly not impossible – and with cases on the up, more university staff are on high alert of fraudulent submissions.

There is new technology emerging too, specifically designed to detect essays written by third parties. And it’s improving all the time, says Lancaster.

“It works by identifying how we all write. We’ve all got a unique style and it shows in how complex our language is, the words we use too much, indicators like that. If you suddenly then hand in something written with a different writing style, that’s suspicious.

“There are quite a few detection methods in development that show promise and often there are all sorts of little clues that the university can piece together and use to work out whether the student is submitting work they have done themselves.”

What will happen if I am caught?

Getting caught is perhaps the biggest risk you run – it could ruin your university career.

While each university is responsible for setting out its own procedure for dealing with cheating (you’ll likely find a page about it on your university’s website), be warned that they all take it very seriously. It’s considered a major violation of academic standards.

Think about it: for institutions to be handing out degrees to people who aren’t qualified is hugely problematic. They’re breaching the national standards of these respected qualifications, meaning their reputation and status as a higher education provider is very much at stake.

If you’re suspected of cheating, it’s likely you’ll be interviewed and asked to provide evidence that you wrote the essay in question yourself (think notes and previous drafts). If the allegations hold up after that, it could result in a disciplinary hearing and, ultimately, your expulsion from the university.

Yep, this is a serious offence and one that could cut your time at university very short.

What are the other risks?

Expulsion isn’t the only risk you run if you decide to hand in an essay that you didn’t write.  First, of course, there is no guarantee as to the quality of the essay you’ll be supplied with by the agency – you could easily still fail.

“The writers who work for these agencies tend to be badly paid, so their incentive is to write as quickly as possible, not produce high-quality work,” says Lancaster. “They’ll take shortcuts. They add meaningless content to pad out the word count and make up references.”

So don’t be shocked if, after forking out for a professional writer to secure you a great grade, you still flunk.

Then there’s the issue that by not studying for one piece of coursework you’re on the back foot for the next assignment – and the next.

“Students become dependent on these services,” says Lancaster. “They’ve missed out on the learning. And once they’re on a company’s customer list, they’re going to be receiving marketing messages again and again.”

Yes, there is the chance that you pay for an essay, get a killer grade and live happily ever after – but there’s also a lot that can go wrong.

What should I do if I’m struggling with my studies?

If you’re struggling with your studies and feeling overwhelmed, talk to your university. There might be ways that they can support you and help ease the strain you’re feeling over coursework and deadlines. You may not need to risk your university career by buying your coursework.

If it’s the language aspect that is causing you stress and making essay-writing a nightmare for you, then speak to your university – they may well have opportunities you can make the most of to improve your English, such as online courses. There will also be an International Student Support service at your uni, who can help with any non-academic issues that are getting in the way of your studies – everything from visa stresses to feeling at home in your new city.

If you have any learning differences, like dyslexia, you might be entitled to extra support, so make sure your tutors are aware of the situation. The same goes for if you are experiencing personal problems that are impacting your learning – depending on the situation you might be offered more time to complete work, as well as other forms of help.

The mba essays: an overview.

Most business schools require the submission of one or more essays for applications to their MBA programs. The most common types of essay questions ask you to explain who you are and why you want to pursue an MBA degree at a specific business school. These are commonly referred to as Personal Statement essays and Why This School essays. Other common essay questions and prompts include “How will you contribute to the community at this business school,” “What experiences have influenced your academic or professional journey,” or “Describe a time you had to overcome a challenge.”

In addition to these more traditional essay types, some schools require more creative submissions. For example, MIT Sloan requires a video essay and cover letter instead, and NYU Stern has a “Pick 6” portion that asks for six photos.

Most business schools have relatively short word count requirements. The M7 business schools–Stanford GSB, Harvard Business School, UPenn Wharton, UChicago Booth, Northwestern Kellogg, MIT Sloan, and Columbia Business School–have a word limit of between 300 and 900 words for their MBA essays, so applicants should make sure they use their essays to communicate who they are effectively and efficiently to the admissions committee.

Any great MBA essay will require self-reflection, concrete career goals, examples of professional achievements or experiences that fulfill the prompt, and a clear vision of your personal story. Working with an MBA application coach can help you better define your career aspirations, communicate your personal characteristics, and demonstrate how you will contribute to the incoming class of an MBA program to highly selective admissions committees through your MBA essays.

A look at how online essay writing services can benefit you

why are essay writing services becoming a growing business

Almost all businesses nowadays seek an online essay writing service to complete their business essay projects.

However, before you start looking for an online essay writer or write my paper for me writing service, it’s ideal to know firsthand what you’ll be getting into.

Without any idea about the pros and cons of hiring someone to work on your essay, you might end up getting a poorly written piece, or none at all. However, business essays aren’t limited to businesses alone. In fact, they’re more common among business students as a means of letting them analyze information regarding financial and marketing topics.

There are plenty of reasons why businesses create business essays. That aside, let us take a look at how hiring an essay writing service can benefit you and your business.

1. It allows efficient time management

In most cases, writing an essay from scratch consumes a lot of time. This is especially true for students who have tons of other projects and businesses with lots of workloads to attend to. Companies who don’t want to invest time in creating business essays can benefit from time management by enlisting the services of an essay writer. This allows them to concentrate their efforts and time to other focal points of their business.

2. You can receive unique and well-researched content

One of the most common issues that businesses face when making business essays is writing a unique and well-research content. Same goes for students. Every sentence that is copied and plagiarized from another source can negatively affect the essay’s overall score and credibility. It is for this reason why a lot of companies and business students consider looking for an online essay writer to create the content for them you can find him here.

You can find a number of free business essays online. However, most of them are associated with plagiarism. While it’s possible to obtain some ideas from a database of free business papers, using them as your business essay is NOT recommended.

3. It allows you to expand your ideas

Not everyone knows how to write professionally. You might be good at absorbing information or creating excellent ideas but definitely fails when it comes to conveying them in an engaging, professional, and presentable fashion. This is probably the most common reason why both businesses and students alike seek the services of a professional – as a means of improving their own writing and the quality of their essay as a whole.

4. The writers are well-versed in their field

Online essay writing services are made of professional writers with educational degrees and academic backgrounds backed with years of writing experience. Not only that; they’re also well-versed in conducting research, have in-depth knowledge of a variety of subject, and follow a strict quality standard. Additionally, professional essay writers fully understand the impact of words and proper writing on the readers.

5. They can modify or improve your already existing content

If you have written a business essay or assignment from scratch but feel insecure about its quality, you may turn to online essay writing services to modify or improve your content. There are actually a number of essay writing services that offer such service. What they do is revise your content and convert it into one that’s more readable and professional.

They will also offer proofreading services which allow your content to be checked by experienced professionals.

6. They can help increase your GPA

If you’re a student who’s struggling with your education, you can seek the services of an essay writing agency to offer you quality essays. Since essays are an integral part of college education, a professionally written piece from such experts will help you maintain your current GPA or even improve it.

As GPAs are one of the essential factors that can affect your academic performance, professional writing services will ensure that you can benefit from a consistently high grade point average.

7. Such services are affordable

The affordability factor is one of the reasons why a lot of businesses and students rely on essay writing services for their essays. You can receive a page of professionally written and finished content for just a few dollars. Also, since they’re particularly aimed at students, you can avail of such service in a very budget-friendly manner.

A well-worded business paper will help demonstrate your professionalism and proficiency in your field. For students, a professionally written piece allows them to prove to their instructors that they have the knowledge necessary to succeed in their future career.

Online essay writing services have no doubt become a huge help to most students and businesses. However, not all services are created equal. Therefore, you can’t expect to receive quality write-ups all the time, especially if you obtain your paper from a less reputable company. Therefore, make sure you only avail of the service from well-known professionals in the industry.

Is Hiring An Essay Writing Service Worth The Cost?

Is Hiring An Essay Writing Service Worth The Cost?

When it comes to writing assignments, sometimes you just need a little help. That's where essay writing services can come in. You might be wondering, though: are they worth the cost?

The answer to that question depends on your specific needs and what you're looking for in a writing service. Some services are more affordable than others, and some offer more features or services than others.

Below, we've outlined some of the things you should consider when deciding whether to hire an essay writing service. By understanding what to look for, you can make an informed decision that's right for you.

What Are Essay Writing Services?

Essay writing services are aplenty on the internet. You can find a writing service like KingEssays to suit any need, from academic writing to business writing, and even resume writing.

Essay writing services are meant to help students who struggle with writing essays and other academic papers. They provide a legitimate service that helps students get the grades they need to pass their classes.

However, not all essay writing services are created equal. Some are better than others, and some are outright scams. It is important to do your research before you hire a writing service so that you know you're getting quality work for your money.

Pros and Cons of Hiring an Essay Writing Service

There are pros and cons to hiring an essay writing service. Let's take a look at some of the pros first.

When you hire an essay writing service, you're getting a team of experts who know what they're doing. They will have extensive experience crafting essays and will know the ins and outs of academic writing. This means that you can relax, safe in the knowledge that your essay is in good hands.

Another pro is that hiring an essay writing service can save you time. Time is a precious commodity, especially when you're a student. Essay writing services can take care of all the research, drafting, and editing for you so that you can focus on your studies.

Now let's take a look at some of the cons. The first one is cost. Hiring an essay writing service can be expensive, and it's not always affordable for everyone. The second con is quality. It's important to do your research before choosing an essay writing service, as not all of them are created equal. Make sure to read reviews and compare prices before making a decision.

Types of Essay Writing Services Available

When it comes to essay writing services, there are three types of services available:

1. The first type of service is the most common. This is where you provide the topic and the writer does the research and writes the essay for you.

2. The second type of service is where you provide the topic and some guidelines, but the writer is responsible for writing the essay from start to finish.

3. The third type of service is where you provide all the information including the topic, guidelines, and research. The writer then puts it all together and writes the essay.

So, which type of service is best for you? That depends on your needs and budget. If you're looking for a completed essay that is 100% plagiarism free and meets all your requirements, then you should choose the first type of service. For example, AssignmentPay is one of these types of services. If you're looking for a little more flexibility, then you should choose the second type of service. And if you're looking for more control over the final product, then you should choose the third type of service.

Cost of Hiring an Essay Writing Service

When it comes to the crux of the matter, you want to know whether hiring an essay writing service is worth the cost. It's important to note that the quality and price of service often go hand in hand. Generally speaking, you can expect good quality work for a reasonable price. However, the key here is knowing what type of service you need and researching the pricing for writers who offer those services.

For example, if you're looking for a comprehensive paper with edits, comments, and suggestions from experienced writers, then you can expect to pay more than if you're okay with somebody just writing your paper from scratch. It all depends on what level of assistance you need.

You should also take into account that some services charge an extra fee if they have to complete your paper within a short deadline or with very specific requirements. Of course, these costs vary greatly based on different services, so be sure to research any prospective companies before embarking on this journey.

Benefits of Hiring an Essay Writing Service

Never written an essay before? Or maybe you don’t have the time to tackle it on your own? Hiring an essay writing service could be your best bet for getting a high mark on your assignment.

Essay writing services are staffed with professional writers who know the ins and outs of academic writing. They can craft essays from scratch, edit existing drafts, or proofread documents.

Moreover, they also offer formatting services as well as guidance on topics and research sources. Whether you need help coming up with a thesis statement or need help citing sources in APA format, essay writing services can help you craft a convincing paper.

Additionally, when you hire an essay writing service, you get access to expert advice and helpful feedback throughout the entire process—something that’s hard to replicate if you were to write the essay alone. Hiring an expert ensures that your paper is crafted in adherence to all guidelines and set standards of quality.

Alternatives to Hiring an Essay Writing Service

If you’re still on the fence about hiring an essay writing service, don’t worry. There are other options you can consider.

For starters, are there any extra classes or after-school tutoring you can take? For example, paperhelp.nyc emphasizes that many high schools offer extra classes during the school year, or they may have a summer program that can help with essay writing. It might be worth looking into these options before taking the plunge and paying for a professional service.

If that’s not an option, think about hiring a tutor or attending a writing workshop. A tutor can work one-on-one with you to develop your writing skills, while a workshop can help you hone your skills among your peers without the pressure of needing to get it the right first time around.

Sure, these alternatives may take more time and effort than hiring an essay writing service, but in the long run, they could help improve your writing skills and make you feel more confident in tackling essays on your own.

So, is it worth it to hire an essay writing service? That depends on your situation. If you have the time to write your essay but need a little help with editing or proofreading, then hiring an essay writing service may not be worth the cost. However, if you need help with the actual writing of the essay, then it may be worth it to pay for a service. In the end, it is up to you to decide whether the cost is worth it.

Why is the popularity of essay writing services growing

man 2562325 1280

College life is a busy one. If you want to be successful in college life, you need to balance your life with your studies, assignments, exams, and social and personal life.

While some people can cope with this extraordinary pressure, it is an impossible feat for most.

The extra load can affect a student’s private life, deteriorate their concentration level, and cause several health issues. It is because of this reason why thousands of college students use the services from  Do My Homework Online .

Do My Homework Online is an essay writing agency that offers a helping hand to students in need. It helps simplify their life and efforts and ensure they are healthy.

When we talk about students taking external help to complete their writing assignments, parents and teachers do not take it positively. But, we need to understand that in some cases, students don’t have any other options.

Before we start nagging students about not completing their homework or assignments on their own, it is important to understand what causes a smart student to pay for the ready-made papers.

Why Are Essay Writing Services Growing In Popularity?

It is a good question to ask. Despite the whole concept of students paying others to do their tasks, why is this industry growing?

To understand why we first need to understand the core problem that has resulted in smart students looking for services like these.

Essays and research papers are critical within the college setting. They are important to uplift your grades.

Given its importance, students seek external help because either they do not have enough time because of their busy academic schedule or lack the necessary skills.

Below we have listed the major reason why essay writing services are getting popular.

1. Workload Pressure

According to the professionals, who are offering their help to the students, the reason behind the popularity of the essay writing industry is because of the increased workload for students.

It is common knowledge that students are pressed hard under the academic workload. However, it becomes even more complicated when you factor in students working full-time jobs to sustain themselves while learning.

This means that students often find themselves where they don’t have time to write essays. Over time, these essays pile up, and eventually, they don’t have time other than to outsource.

College essays are of different standards and need extensive research work. So, even if a student tries to take time out of their busy lives, it is still impossible to complete their essay on time.

Thus, writing services are the only option left for them in this situation.

2. Affordable Prices

Because more and more essay writing services are taking the field, the competition is becoming stiff. Because of the stiff competition, there is a drastic effect on the price of teh services.

Before, when essay writing services were few, the services were expensive. However, today teh industry has been saturated with enough writers, which has dropped the price barrier for them.

Professional writers agree that ordering an essay online is not only time effective but has also become cheaper. Students have more options now. Coupled with high-quality essays, students find it affordable and convenient to order essays online, making essay writing services popular.

3. Writers Are Highly Skilled

With more students ordering essays online, the writers working on the assignment are getting experience every day. This means that with time people are getting better and better essay writing services. This gives students many more reasons to outsource essay writing services.

Being a good writer needs natural traits, which you will not find in all students. However, the availability of skilled writers of the assignments at one click helps any students to get the best essay to boost their grades.

Furthermore, you must also know that some of the skilled writers offering essay writing services are from different walks of life. Yes, some might have done Ph.D. or are undergraduate, but you will also find writers who don’t belong to the academic industry.

Perhaps they specialized in technologies, finances, or other niche-specific fields. Students look for this specialization to get better content for their essays.

4. Lack Of Necessary Skills

A significant reason why websites like Do My Homework Online are getting popular is because of the high-quality services they offer. Most students are not cut out to become writers. Some have an interest in sports, while some are interested in technology. In that case, you can’t expect them to be good at writing essays.

Because of the lack of necessary skills to write essays, most students prefer to order essays online.

In the case of international students, they are not familiar with the local language and hence, will not be able to write an essay. Therefore, even if they are good students and good with their research work, they might find it difficult to write an essay.

A poor grasp of the language will limit them from getting the grades they are capable of. However, essay writing services offer native speakers and writers, which makes it easy for students to get high-quality essays for their assignments.

5. Relieve Stress & Anxiety For Students

College life can be stressful and unorganized, and you might not be able to tell any differences between your students’ life and private life. College students often experience stress and anxiety while working on their projects. This is because of the pressure of getting good grades.

Since most professors assign complex tasks, average students find it difficult to deliver them on par with the expectations. This builds up chronic stress within the students.

Chronic stress is not only bad for your health but also affects your communication with other people and deteriorates your normal life. Hiring an experienced writer helps students with essay writing assignments and prevents them from experiencing stress and anxiety.

Business Growth Essay (Critical Writing)

Introduction, growth of business, business strategies, reference list.

Businesses are known to grow when they increase their trade volumes in the market. This includes selling of the existing products or services to existing customers. It can also include selling new products or services to new customers. It is therefore important to acknowledge the role of growth to a business organization.

Business owners are therefore supposed to identify the options available for business growth. Managers and other leaders should also seek more specific information that will guide them in making decisive decisions in order to achieve particular goals.

There is actually more specific information that guides in various achievements. This information includes diagnostic questionnaire that helps the leadership of the business organization to identify the best decision that will drive the business to higher heights of growth.

There must also be more detailed information and practical steps to the option the leadership of the organization has chosen for the purpose of growth. This paper describes how Tod, a business organization owned by an Italian entrepreneur can grow and expand its operations in a nutshell. The paper also describes the strategies for growth of small businesses that aim at globalizing their operations.

The problems that are commonly faced by small business organizations include stalling in the business growth. These problems are mainly faced by entrepreneurs who operate single units or multiple units like chain stores.

Most of the time, the owners of the business premises do not have the professional know how since most of them are operating inherited property or are operating the business as a family unit like Tod.

For this reason, the owner does not know how to rejuvenate the business organization since they have become complacent with mediocrity and the status quo. Partnership businesses also face similar problems (More business 2011).

For instance the partners in a business organization may want to expand their business. Since they are not experts in this field, they don’t know whether to invest the extra resources into the product or into expanding the market. Also, their lack of knowhow may lead them to try both without enough research into the market (Cim 2001).

Business growth requires strategies that will enable it reach it goals. One of the ways in which a business organization can grow is by extending the market reach (Business Growth a. 2011). The business organization can use the existing products to reach to more people.

This can be done by employing different marketing approaches that will enable the business to penetrate the current market and increase its market share. Since we are living in a knowledge era, creativity and innovation is important to the growth of this business.

Tod’s luxury shoes must understand current industrial organization economics in order to strategize on how to grow (Guru 2011). Tod will be more competitive in the market if it positions itself well in the industry by understanding the structure of this industry. Diego Della must therefore understand that strategy is the creation of knowledge concerned with knowledge absences, not knowledge assets.

Another way in which this business organization can grow is by developing a new product or service. This is also another form of growth strategy which can rejuvenate a plateau phase in a business organization (Business Growth b. 2003).

The leadership of the business organization may consider exploring products that complement the current ones. This also forms part of the industrial organizations economics (Honorati 2007). Tod should therefore consider the horizontal scope which results into core competence.

Complementary products will also increase the scope of Tod by creating a bigger pie in the market that increases the volume of sales. This will allow the organization to generate more sales from the existing and new customers (Little 2005). Also, the business organization can use the principle of having more and diversifying its products to increase its sales.

Another strategy is by joint ventures. The business organization can consider the possibility of expanding by joining forces with other businesses.

This can be done through mergers and/ or buying shares. It is important to note that this strategy is important in maintaining the autonomy of the business organization while still giving a hand in reaching out to new customers. It is also important to note that this is a way of finding new opportunities for a new business model.

Tod should consider more investments in technology that makes solutions faster and cheaper. New business opportunities can also help in responding to shifting market forces (Business Link a. 2011).

The other strategy is by finding partners. This strategy is important mainly in small businesses because in some situations, the vision of growth of the business may be too big for the business (Nieman & Pretorius 2004). Finding partners is a way of incorporating profession into the business without losing autonomy.

It is also a way in which the business organization establishes networks, gains the ability to outsource and insource. A business organization can also enhance its productivity by acquiring additional financial capital to expand its operations. Thus, loans, grants and investors can help to expand the business organization through this strategy.

In addition to this, Della must understand that for his business to grow, he must change the rules by increasing professionalism, spend less on manufacturing products, and consider the possibility of merging. Dell should also understand the vital role of risk taking in expanding his business (Ericson 2007).

This means that he can take risks and enter the Chinese market to enhance the growth of this company. It is also important for the organization to move from an entrepreneurial to a managerial company in order for it to globalize its operations.

Professionalism in the business takes care of many aspects of the business operation. These aspects include effective marketing strategies that increase the value of the brands (Business Link b. 2011). For instance, a brand manager can add value to the products by reducing customer’s resources.

This action may not be as easy as it is read by an entrepreneur who is not practicing professionalism in his business. All these strategies can make Tod experience significant growth if they are structured appropriately (Bermont 2006).

Businesses are known to grow when they increase their trade volumes in the market. This includes selling of the existing products or services to the existing customers. It can also include selling new products or services to new customers.

It is therefore important to acknowledge the role of growth to a business organization. Business growth requires strategies that will enable it to reach it goals. One of the ways in which a business organization can grow is by extending the market reach.

Thus, loans, grants and investors can help to expand the business organization through this strategy. All these strategies can make Tod experience significant growth if they are structured appropriately.
