Independence Day 2023: Short Speech

Ladies and gentlemen,

Indian Independence Day is being commemorated today as one of the most important dates in the history of our magnificent country. We celebrate this day with pride as we reflect on the numerous sacrifices made by our ancestors to free our nation from colonial tyranny.

We honour visionary leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhas Chandra Bose, and countless others who led the fight for liberation with unyielding tenacity and bravery on this auspicious day. As we enjoy the priceless gift of independence and sovereignty because of their unceasing labour and sacrifice.

As we hoist the tricolour, we must also pause to consider the ideals and guiding tenets of our independence movement: inclusion, diversity, and unity. To develop a more powerful and affluent India, individuals from all backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions have come together in our nation as it stands today.

While we celebrate our independence, we must be aware of the difficulties that still lie ahead. We must work to end social inequities, poverty, and illiteracy. Let's join to fight communalism, corruption, and any other forces that jeopardise the peace in our country.

As accountable citizens, let us promise to do everything in our power to advance and build our cherished nation. Let's defend the values of democracy, equality, and justice in remembrance of the sacrifices made by our freedom warriors.

Let's celebrate our freedom on this Independence Day, but let's also keep in mind our obligations and responsibilities to India's future. Together, we can make India a nation that excels internationally and continues to inspire the rest of the globe.

Jai Hind! Happy Independence Day!

Good morning to all of you, including the vice president, instructors, principal, and my dear students. To celebrate the 77th anniversary of our country's independence, we have all assembled here. We shall honour all the freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to preserve the nation's freedom on this important occasion.

British sovereignty over India ended on August 15, 1947. All of our fundamental rights were granted to us in our nation, our home. The British were brutal to our ancestors while they were in power. We can't imagine how difficult it must have been for India to live within the British Empire from where we are sitting. To achieve independence, countless millions of sacrifices were made over many years.

Numerous freedom fighters fought for independence throughout their entire lives. We can never forget the sacrifices of Lala Lajpat Rai, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Rani Lakshmibai, Khudiram Bose, Sukhdev Thapar, Vallabhbhai Patel, Mangal Pandey, Tatya Tope, Ram Prasad Bismil, Udham Singh, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, and many more who lost their lives just fighting for a better future.

We are incredibly grateful that our forebears battled to free us from British rule. They have contributed to our tremendous growth in the areas of technology, education, sports, and finance. With participation in competitions like the Asian, Commonwealth, and Olympic Games, the Indians are making progress.

On this significant day, it is now our responsibility to maintain the nation's honour, promote the nation, and enhance the nation. I wish everyone a Happy Independence Day and good luck for the future.

Thank You and Happy Independence Day to all of you!

Good Morning to all dignitaries and fellow mates who are present here.

On the eve of Independence Day, we honour the bravery and sacrifices of our Indian freedom heroes. When India became independent, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, our first Prime Minister, raised the tricolour flag at Delhi's Red Fort and Lahori Gate. This day has been observed as a separate holiday ever since. Numerous programs are dedicated in honour of the solemn occasion of the day during our Indian warriors' Red Fort-like march past, and schoolchildren fire 21 gunshots to signal the start of events and cultural performances. The Independence Day celebration also includes kite flying, which fills the sky with a variety of kites in all sizes, shapes, and colours. Later, starting in 1974, all of the various chief ministers unfurl the national flag.

The anniversary of the division of the subcontinent into India and Pakistan is another contemporary relevance of Independence Day. We are known for having the biggest democracy in the world. The UK Parliament approved the Indian Independence Act of 1947 on this day, granting the Indian country legislative authority.

Hope my words are enough to elate your happiness and patriotism. Happy Independence Day!

77th Independence Day 2023: Long Speech

Respected dignitaries, esteemed teachers, dear fellow students, and fellow citizens,

Today, as we gather here to commemorate the 76th Indian Independence Day, our hearts swell with pride and gratitude for the countless brave souls who fought relentlessly to liberate our beloved motherland from the clutches of British colonial rule.

The end of foreign rule and the start of a new era in Indian history are both marked by this day. It stands for the triumph of bravery, teamwork, and the tenacious spirit of the Indian people. Our fight for independence was more than just a political movement; it was a battle for our right to self-determination, fairness, and human decency.

We respectfully recall the inspirational leaders who guided us on this difficult road. The way of non-violence and civil disobedience, which became the pillar of our struggle, was demonstrated to us by Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our country. Our first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, laid the groundwork for the development of our country by envisioning a modern, forward-thinking India.

The key to realising our country's potential is education. Let's work to ensure that every child, regardless of circumstance, has access to an education. Not only is knowledge liberating, but it also lays the groundwork for a successful future.

Rural development must be given top priority in order to provide residents with access to necessities like clean water, healthcare, and sanitary facilities. By empowering our villages, we can achieve sustainable, balanced growth that benefits all of our citizens.

One of our biggest assets is our variety. Let's celebrate our variety and embrace our rich cultural heritage on this Independence Day. Together, we are stronger, and India stands out on the international stage because of its variety.

Lastly, let us never forget how difficult and costly it was to achieve our independence. As proud Indians, it is our responsibility to uphold the democratic, secular, and socially just ideals that our forefathers envisioned. Let's promise to be law-abiding, caring, and environmentally conscientious citizens who help our amazing country flourish and prosper.

Young people need to be aware because they have the power to alter their country and the future of the country rests on them. Therefore, it is our responsibility to serve the country and work as hard as we can to improve society.

Nationalism and patriotism are present across the nation as a result of this day's commemoration. On this day, we also sense our pride and solidarity in the nation's diversity. India is a nation of people who practise several religions alongside one another, and a diversified society with a rich culture and heritage applauds this wonderful occasion with tremendous enthusiasm. We are happy, and it gives us greater motivation to defend our motherland against any assault on its sovereignty and integrity.

We the people can't miss taking some prominent freedom fighters without whom the dream of our independence was not possible including Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr Rajendra Prasad, Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Sukhdev, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Chandra Shekhar Azad, etc. Because of his sacrifice and labour, our nation is free from British rule. This is the day when every individual pays tribute to our freedom fighters and leaders.

Independence Day is celebrated differently around the world, but its value is universal. It serves as both a poignant reminder of the difficulties and sacrifices made in pursuit of freedom as well as a celebration of the advancements gained over the years. Therefore, remember to carry out your responsibilities to the country.

Secondly, we can pay tribute to them in the true sense of the term by dedicatedly working for our motherland and never performing any such deeds which may leave a blot on the integrity and dignity of our country. We are born here and being the citizens of our country it becomes our responsibility to bring glory and accolades to our country. This is called true patriotic fervor; we are not expected to be fanatics or to wage battles but to do whatever best we can in our capacity.

Our nation doesn’t need such people, but hardworking and honest individuals. So students – you being the youth and future of our country – are expected to follow the path of virtue and never let the country down.

India is known for its vast diversity of cultural, social as well as topographical diversity and therefore we should feel proud to be born in India, which is the world’s biggest democracy developing at a fast pace. We have gained success in the area of the telecom industry, the green revolution as well as Space Technology. And now, we are emerging in the sector of the IT industry too.

I sincerely hope that our country continues to excel in all the fields possible and becomes the next superpower in the times to come. This is all from my side.

Thank You! Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.

Subhash Chandra Bose, popularly known as Netaji , was a charismatic and influential leader in India’s freedom struggle against British rule. Born in 1897, Bose rose to prominence because of his unwavering commitment to independence, making him a key figure in the Indian National Congress.

Dissatisfied with non-violent methods, they later formed the Forward Bloc and eventually the Indian National Army (INA) to fight alongside the Axis powers during World War II. His famous call, “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom,” resonated with a generation yearning for independence. Bose ‘s mysterious death in 1945 has further added to the mystery surrounding this fearless leader, who has left an enduring legacy as a symbol of India’s unwavering pursuit of independence.

Respected Principal, Vice-Principal, Teachers, and my dear students,

Agomoni Barta

Good morning/afternoon to one and all. Today, as we stand on the cusp of celebrating our nation’s Independence Day, I am honored to address you all. Independence Day is not just a day of historical significance; it’s a day that signifies the spirit of freedom, unity, and progress.

As educators, we play a pivotal role in shaping the minds that will contribute to the future of our nation. Our duty goes beyond textbooks and classrooms; we are entrusted with the task of nurturing responsible and enlightened citizens who will carry the torch of progress forward.

Independence Day is not just about remembering the sacrifices of our forefathers; it is also an opportunity to reflect on the responsibilities we bear as educators. We are the architects of the future, and the values we instill in our students today will shape the destiny of our nation tomorrow.

Our students need not only academic knowledge but also a deep understanding of the principles that our freedom fighters stood for – principles of justice, equality, and fraternity. As teachers, we must imbibe in our students the spirit of nationalism and a sense of duty towards our country.

Let us use this occasion to inspire our students to dream big, to aspire for excellence, and to contribute meaningfully to the progress of our great nation. Let’s encourage them to appreciate the diversity that defines our country and to uphold the democratic values that our Constitution enshrines.

As we celebrate the freedom won by our ancestors, let us recommit ourselves to the noble cause of education. Let’s create an environment where curiosity is nurtured, where critical thinking is encouraged, and where every student feels empowered to pursue their dreams.

On this Independence Day, let us, as teachers, renew our commitment to the service of our students and our nation. Let’s strive to create not just good students, but responsible and compassionate citizens who will contribute positively to society.

I wish you all a Happy Independence Day. Jai Hind!

1 minute Independence Day speech

“Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high; where the knowledge is free, where the world has not been broken up into fragments but narrow domestic walls; where the world come out from the depth of truth; where tireless striving stretches its arms toward perfection; where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit; where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action into that heaven of freedom, my father let my country awake”

Greetings everyone,

Today we all are gathered here to celebrate the 78th Independence Day of India and give tribute to our freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for us. We cannot understand the pain of being enslaved. We are living in peace because they sacrificed themselves for our independence. Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, and many others devoted their whole lives to free our country from British rule. The fight for independence started in 1857 which result in the mass movement of Indians in 1885. Then Mahatma Gandhi came forward and many more to fight.

So, let’s try to remember our achievements after independence. After the day of Independence, India gave the right to vote to every grown-up. The Railway network was nationalized in 1951 and now it is one of the world’s largest railway networks. India took its first election in 1951, making Jawahar Lal Nehru the first prime minister of India . In 1983, India won its first world cup. In 2008, India won its first gold medal at the Olympics games. We can say that India is only going forward and forward.

Today, we have the freedom to follow the Right to Education, Right to speak, and many more. Our country is one of the largest democracies in the world. India is one of the largest countries in the world of doctors, engineers, and Scientists. We’ve come a long way after independence.

Our free fighters have also taught us some lifelong lessons.

Take a stand for what you trust in – If Mahatma Gandhi wouldn’t take a stand for us or if Bhagat wouldn’t spoken for us, where we would’ve been? So do not be afraid to speak. Do not hesitate to take a stand, if you think something is wrong.

Change starts from you – Don’t ask or wait for change. Things will only change when you’ll start changing. If you think that your colony should be clean, then start by cleaning your room.

Dreaming- If our freedom fighters have dreamed of an independent India, that is the reason why they were able to achieve it. Never stop dreaming because if you stop dreaming, you stop living.

So, today on the occasion of Independence Day, let’s make a promise to ourselves that we will always protect our country, by maintaining brotherhood, helping everyone, and educating ourselves. Now, I would like to finish my Independence Day speech with a few lines

Thank you. Happy Independence Day !!!!

Short Independence Day Speech 15 August

India is known as one of the most powerful countries in the world but still, people’s love for their country doesn’t keep them away from celebrating their Independence Day. Citizens celebrate the day by remembering the freedom fighters with full energy, dedication, and love for the country. Schools and Colleges celebrate this day by organizing dances, choruses, and speeches so if you want a short Independence Day speech within 500 words this article can help you.

Let’s get started with the Short Independence Day Speech below:

“ab bhi jiska khoon na khaula, khoon nahi voh paani hain….jo desh ke kaam naa aaye vo bekaar jawani hain …” This dialogue from ‘Rang De Basanti’ gives goosebumps to listeners but it suits those fighters who sacrificed their lives for us. Exactly 74 years ago i.e. 15th August 1947, our country got freedom from British rule. Freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Laxmi Bai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, and so on.

  • Bhagat Singh : 22-year-old boy who left his family, perfect job, and decided to become a freedom fighter along with his friends Rajguru and Sukhdev.
  • Mahatma Gandhi : left his perfect household life and started the Satyagraha Movement, Dandi March.
  • Rani Laxmi Bai : “Khubh Ladi Mardaani thi voh to Jhansi wali Rani thi” who fought with Britisher carrying her son on her back till her last breath.
  • Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel: Known as ‘Iron Man of India’ made India a united country and help traders, people by dividing parts of the country into different states.

Every year Red Fort is ornamented with flowers along with its podium, stairs, marching ground, and seats for guests are arranged. Prime Minister hoists National Flag with National Anthem “Janna Ganna Manna” and addresses the nation by sharing the achievements done by the government via different schemes, and acts in previous years and also promises to make his country number one in the whole world. After the speech, 21 gunshots were fired in honour of remembering freedom fighters. Armed Forces ( Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, and Indian Army ), Motorcycle troops, and the parade are conducted on Red Fort where they salute National Flag. At last, Prime Minister greets students, and teachers who attend the function by letting go of balloons in the air.

At the same time, CM’s of states hoist National Flag and attend parades prepared by the people and appreciate them. Many government and non-government institutions also hoist flags in their offices. Schools, and colleges decorate their classrooms, and halls with drawings of freedom fighters, writing poems, and decorating walls with balloons and art. Students also prepare parades, dance performances, choruses, and speeches. Not only in India but also in foreign countries Indians celebrate the day by distributing sweets and by singing the National Anthem. At borders, soldiers hoist the National Flag, sing, and dance to patriotic songs. They feel proud because citizens trust them and easily sleep at home.

Even today also, we have many soldiers who leave their luxurious life to protect our nation and us. For the sake of their country, they decide to join the army whether it’s Armed Forces, Navy, BSF, Commandos or Para-armed forces. Without informing their loved one they go to missions with no idea whether they will come back alive or wrapped in National Flag. Many wars took place whether it was the Kargil War, India- China War, violating the rules of the Line of Control (LOC), URI attacks, Pulwama attack but every time our forces prove their enemy that now they are not going to compromise or give any type of mercy.

Independence Day Speech In English by Student (1500 word long speech)

Good morning everyone,

My respected teachers and dear friends,

[ INTRODUCTION]

On the tantalizing morning of this holy day, with patriotic fervour and pride, on 15th August, each Indian fills his heart with immense respect and love for his motherland. Being the sons of India, each year on this day, one unfolds the hues of saffron, pure white, and divine green with salutes and tribute. Past back it was on this day in 1947, that Indian independence, along with its government, came into being. On this very day, the Indian Independence Act was finally declared in this Nation. Unrolling the Indian Tricolour in the nation‘s capital, our leaders made beautiful memories with vibrant radiating love for the nation.

The independence that is freedom is that of a state in which its inhabitants or population or some portion thereof, excise self-government and sovereignty over the society. It is the sort of self-determination that focuses on exercising its power over the population, definite territory, self-ruling government, and trying to be self-reliant. In short, it will be a self-sufficient state with affairs that will be settled by themselves and without any interference.

Reminiscent of this pious day, India declared itself to be independent in all respects and was freed from the shackles of British imperialism. A struggle of about 200 years, with submission, begging for mercy, and hope – a hope to live each day like a free bird, hope to win through all the battles, and finally, a hope to visualize the dawn of a rising sun in the nation has led India to learn how to fight back for every situation which comes across to stop her. If you try to estimate the strength of India and its women, you get to see that it equals living with the pain of dipping a tea bag in a cup of hot tea.

[ SIGNIFICANCE OF INDIA’S INDEPENDENCE]

The history of India and its independence is an epic in the freedom fight and a challenge to destiny. With the beginning of a new era, each year India tries to unfold itself with vibrant hues of pomp, progress, and perseverance. Diving deep into the reels of India’s history, we get to see how our freedom fighters and the sons of India fought for winning the battle and envisioned rising India to be an independent nation.

Their invaluable sacrifices led us to live today in a civilized state with each night sleeping comfortably on our bed. It is an inspiration to all our youth to have the courage and religiously celebrate the pride of being born in this country. The echoes of the patriotic songs make the ambience of this day remould India a unique identity.

With the unfurling of the tricolour, Bharat Mata is secured from the clutches of the East India Company and the British rule and what remains is our unity – ultimate strength with diversity. Being a nation with different cultures and inspired by the footprints of great men, like Babu and Netaji, India seems to rule and understand every situation it thinks to handle itself with appropriate methods of being an extremist or an assertive one. The elixir of equality and justice, which our leaders have spread across the country, seems to be the biggest phenomenon that India could ever face.

[ INSPIRATION TO THE YOUTH ]

As the youth of the nation, it is our prime responsibility to sacrifice ourselves in contributing to our mother India. On this very day, we should pay a heartfelt tribute to the millions of martyrs of Mother India. The brave souls and the valiant soldiers, armed forces, and our police, as well as our security forces who have engaged their life in contributing to and safeguarding our mother nation, should be rewarded for their rigorous reparations.

Securing its full autonomy from the colonialists, this day captures Immense significance in the core of the Indian citizens living in any corner of this world. Holding it to be a national holiday, this day seems to have an ambience of hoisting the national flag at all institutions as well as in our homes, the exhibition of the various art forms representing the tricolour, arrangement of various cultural programs as a tribute along with the synchronizing memories of the partition of India.

Past back on 15 August 1947, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, our former prime minister of India, unfurled the tri-coloured flag in New Delhi, the capital of India, at the Lahori Gate located in the Red Fort. Not only our freedom fighters but also our father of the nation that is Bapu Ji had fasted in Calcutta and was living a life of a perfect saint with the promotion of khadi and devoted his time to prayers and revolting against hatred.

Once upon a time, India was termed to be Spiceland, the place to be famous for its spices and masalas. With abundant resources and minerals, India was once termed to be the most attractive country in the world. When the British arrived and present India in their shackles, they began to misuse all the resources and started to collect all these valuable materials back to their country. Not only did they manipulate the rules but also started to force ownership on India and its policies. They work according to their whims and fancies and started implementing the divide-and-rule policy which shattered India into two parts.

[ FINAL MESSAGE AND TRIBUTE TO THE MATRYS ]

Parades are organized each year to pay tribute to all freedom fighters and to Armed Forces who each day protect us and secure us from antagonists. Therefore, it is on the 15th of August each year when we remember that being the citizens of India it is our prime responsibility to uphold the virtues of a nation, stand for a nation, be for the nation, and be of the nation. The youth who are the pillars to uphold the virtues of tolerance, love, peace should have a fellow feeling amongst the people and should have a warmblood to fight for our country. Each one of us should be inspired to look for Swadeshi outfits and cater to the fraternity and freedom of speech that our country has given us the right to. The fundamental rights of India and its directive principles have always inspired us to be proud to be Indian.

Freedom is the most loving aspect of this era. It is something which we pine for. On this Auspicious day of Independence, we all the sons of mother India fight to win because we don’t have runner-ups on the battlefield. Let’s salute the martyrs who have let her flag flow high in the saffron and prosperous green hues.

“If your blood doesn’t rage then it is water flowing in your veins. For what is the flush of youth, if it is not of service to the motherland”- Chandra Shekhar Azad.

[ TOKEN OF THANKS AND CONCLUSION ]

At last, I would like to end my speech with a note of gratefulness and a bunch of thank you. Gifting our country with a resplendent morning and paving the path for its independence and some who became the epitome of simplicity, humility, and wisdom, I pay tribute to all the noble personalities on this religious day.

Not forgetting the khadi man of India who once brought in the satyagraha with some others who brought in the seraphic ideologies of Swaraj of the masses has led this day to be the most memorable one in each year. Be their footprints keep on guiding us in creating an incredible and prosperous India ahead and each day blooming in it to make a better place to live in. Thank you!

Good Morning Principal Sir/Madam, teachers and friends. Today I am going to give a short speech on Independence Day.

It is our 77th Independence Day, today. We must take part in the events with devotion. It is very important to honor the flag and sing national anthem. We must remember our brave freedom fighters on this day.

It was very pleasing to address you all. Thank You! Happy Independence Day!

Independence Day Speech 2 – Short Speech on 15 August – Sample 2

Dear Principal Sir/Madam, teachers and friends. Today, we have come here to celebrate the 77th Independence Day of India.

On 15 th August in 1947 we got independence from Britishers. First Prime Minister of India, Chacha Nehru, raised the Indian flag at Red Fort in New Delhi. He also gave his famous speech that day. It was called “ Tryst with Destiny ”.

India became a free nation on this day. Freedom was not easy to get. Many brave freedom fighters had died. They had died to make the country free. We should remember their courage and fight.

They bravely fought for 200 years. We must remember them and honor them. Raise the flag high and sing national songs. Do not put the flag down. Do not tear the flag. Freedom is very important, so keep it safe. With this I end my speech.

Thank you and Happy Independence Day to all!

Independence Day Speech 3 – Short Speech on 15 August – Sample 3

Respected; Principal, teachers, staff members and all my dear friends. I welcome you all from the bottom of my heart on this day of national reverence, when we celebrate the country’s 77th Independence Day, today.

I feel immensely honoured to having been given an opportunity to address you all on such a significant occasion and express my own views.

As we all know that India gained independence on August 15, 1947. It was on this day that the British departed from Indian soil, transferring the legislative powers to the Indian Constituent Assembly. In other words, India was now to be ruled by its own people and not by foreign invaders.

It was the most joyous moment in the history of India as it came following nearly two centuries of struggle and revolutions against British sovereignty. The day reminds us of the valour and sacrifices of our fellow countrymen, who were the torchbearers of the freedom struggle.

Let us celebrate this Independence Day to commemorate the indomitable spirit of our freedom fighters and political patrons of that time. It is because of them that we enjoy the fruits of freedom today.

Independence Day Speech 4 – Short Speech on 15 August – Sample 3

Respected Principal Sir, teachers, guests and my dear friends. It’s an honour for me to address you all on our 73th Independence Day, today.

As we all know that it was on this fateful day in 1947, that we gained independence, thanks to the freedom fighters and political visionaries of that time. They had envisioned a free and united India, and fought courageously against British invaders to make their dream true.

Finally, their dream was realized on 15 th August 1947; though, the nation had to pay heavy price for it. With the joy of independence, came the sorrow of partition.

The celebration of Independence was marred by the formation of Dominion of Pakistan on 14 th August, 1947 and battered by the communal violence following it.

When half of India was rejoicing its independence, half of it was burning from communal riots. This wasn’t something that our freedom fighters and political leaders could have imagined, while struggling for independence.

Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Chandrasekhar Azad, didn’t sacrifice their lives to see fellow Indians slitting each other’s throat on communal grounds. They envisioned an India having communal, religious and cultural harmony.

It is impossible to change history, but we can always change the future and make new history. Independence Day was indeed one of the most significant days in the history of India, but we must also remember those who have sacrificed their lives to make us live this day. Also, we must not forget that any kind of demographic division on the basis of religion, caste or creed will only hamper our progress.

Let us end the speech with a pledge to maintain the sovereignty and equality of the nation and to remember those who lost their lives to give us independence. Jai Hind!!

Independence Day Speech 5 – Long Speech on 15 August – Sample 4

Good morning to all my respected teachers, parents and dear friends. Today we have gathered here to celebrate this great national event. As we all know that Independence day is an auspicious occasion for all of us. India’s Independence Day is the most important day to all the Indian citizens and has been mentioned forever in the history.

It is the day when we got freedom from the British rule after many years of hard struggle by the great freedom fighters of India. We celebrate independence day every year on 15 th of August to remember the first day of freedom of India as well as remember all the sacrifices of the great leaders who have sacrificed their lives in getting freedom for India.

India got independence on 15 th of August in 1947 from the British rule. After independence we got our all the fundamental rights in our own Nation, our Motherland. We all should feel proud to be an Indian and admire our fortune that we took birth on the land of an Independent India. History of slave India reveals everything that how our ancestors and forefathers had worked hard and suffered all the brutal behavior of Britishers.

We cannot imagine by sitting here that how hard the independence was for India from the British rule. It took sacrifices of lives of many freedom fighters and several decades of struggle from 1857 to 1947. An Indian soldier (Mangal Pandey) in the British force had first raised his voice against Britishers for the independence of India.

Later several great freedom fighters had struggled and spent their whole life only for getting freedom. We can never forget the sacrifices of the Bhagat Singh, Khudi Ram Bose and Chandra Sekhar Azad who had lost their lives in their early age just for fighting for their country. How can we ignore all the struggles of Netaji and Gandhiji. Gandhiji was a great Indian personalities who taught Indians a big lesson of non-violence. He was the one and only who lead India to get freedom with the help of non-violence. Finally the result of long years of struggle came in front on 15 th of August 1947 when India got freedom.

We are so lucky that our forefathers have given us a land of peace and happy where we can sleep whole night without fear and enjoy whole day in our school or home. Our country is developing very fast in the field of technology, education, sports, finance and various other fields which were almost impossible before freedom. India is one of the countries rich in nuclear power. We are going ahead by actively participating in the sports like Olympics, Commonwealth games and Asian games.

We have full rights to chose our government and enjoy largest democracy in the world. Yes, we are free and have complete freedom however we should not understand ourselves free of responsibilities towards our country. As being responsible citizens of the country, we should be always ready to handle any emergency condition in our country.

Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.

Independence Day Speech 6 – Long Speech on 15 August – Sample 4

A very warm good morning to the respected teachers and my dear friends gathered here. Today we are gathered here to celebrate this auspicious occasion of Independence day on 15 th of August. We celebrate this day with lots of enthusiasm and joy every year because our country got freedom at this day in 1947 from the British rule. We are here to celebrate nth number of independence day. It is great and most significant day for all Indians. People of India had suffered cruel behavior of Britishers for many years.

Today we have freedom in almost all fields such as education, sports, transportation, business, etc just because of the years of struggle of our forefathers. Before 1947, people were not so free even they were restricted to have rights on their own body and mind. They were slave of Britishers and forced to follow all the orders of them. Today we are free to do anything because of the great Indian leaders who struggled hard for many years to get freedom against British rule.

Independence day is celebrated all over India with much pleasure. This day is of great importance to all Indian citizens as it gives us opportunity to remember all those freedom fighters who had sacrificed their lives just for giving us a beautiful and peaceful life. Earlier to the independence, people were not allowed to get education, eat healthy food and live normal life like us. We should be grateful to those events responsible for the freedom in India. Indians were treated more badly than slaves by the Britishers just to fulfill their meaningless orders.

Some of the great freedom fighters of India are Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhiji, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Lala Lajpath Ray, Bhagat Singh, Khudi Ram Bose and Chandra Sekhar Azad. They were famous patriots who struggled hard for the freedom of India till the end of their life. We cannot imagine that horrible moment struggled by our forefathers.

Now, after many years of independence our country is on the right track of development. Today our country is a well established democratic country all over the world. Gandhiji was great leader who taught us about effective way of freedom like ahimsa and sathyagraha methods. Gandhi dreamed of an independent India with the non violence and peace.

India is our mother country and we are its citizens. We should always be ready to save it from the bad people. It is our responsibility to lead our country ahead and make it a best country of the world.

Long Speech on Independence Day of India 9 – Speech on 15 August – Sample 7

Hon’ble Guests of Honor, Senior Managers, Managers, other Staff Members and My Dear Friends – Warm Greetings to all of you!

I am feeling extremely glad to have been standing in front of you and hosting this invigorating day on the eve of Independence Day. We as Indians very well realize the importance of Independence Day and should be filled with utmost pride to have finally won back our freedom from the shackles of British rule. It gives me a sense of immense joy which is indescribable in words when I see our national flag soaring in the wind high up.

I am sure you can relate with my emotions. Needless to say, Independence Day is celebrated on 15 th of August every year and it is in the year 1947 that India emerged as a free nation. Since this is a day of great historical importance for all the Indians, national holiday is being declared in India and all of us celebrate Independence Day with great warmth and show.

This is just a brief about Independence Day, but does anyone here know about the period of British Raj? Well, let me share with you all that it was between 1858 until 1947 that the Britishers colonized our Indian subcontinent. This time period is called the British Raj period.

Now, it becomes even more interesting to know how the British colonial rule began in our country. When the East India Company arrived in India, they were stripped of the goods and land of Indian citizens by conspiracy and Queen Victoria making it all the property of the monarchy.

The East India Company was founded in 1600 under Royal Charter during the monarchical reign of Elizabeth I. Though apparently its chief aim was to trade, it eventually became an indomitable force of colonization controlling the most part of our Indian subcontinent. The people living in the Indian subcontinent during that time became the subjects of the British colonial rule under Queen Victoria and subsequently other monarchs who came after her.

I am sure we all can gauge that gaining independence under such challenging situation was not an easy task, but required long and persistent efforts. One of the most prominent personalities who chiefly contributed towards gaining independence was Mahatma Gandhi or what we usually address him as Bapu .

What makes him even a greater personality is the fact that he achieved independence by not following the path of violence or bloodshed, but through his policy of non-violence wherein he did not oppose the rule of Britishers through armed fighting rather he with his followers started the non-violence campaign which comprised hunger strikes and civil disobedience. Their concerted efforts ultimately brought an end to the British Raj in our country. British rule was given an official garb under the name of “British administration of India” and under that garb Indians had to undergo a lot of pain and trauma.

We should salute those heroic spirits and pay our homage to them by remembering their brave deeds and sacrifice for our mother land and never forget that it is because of their efforts that we stand today and breathe in an Independent India.

But the seeds of self-governance in our country were laid down much before India won its independence. In the 19 th century, several Indian councilors were appointed on various advisory roles. They were hired for the advisory support of the British viceroys who continued to rule across the major parts of India. In the year 1892, a law known as the Indian Councils Act came into being with a view to empower these councilors as well as other Indian officials. But they remained under the higher British authority and had to put up with the prejudices of the white men to be able to reach the pinnacle of success in their jobs.

It was somewhat in the midnight between 14 th August and daytime of 15 th August 1947 that the treaty of Indian sovereignty was signed. This was a time when George VI was ruling as the king in Britain and Clement Attlee was their prime minister. In India Jawaharlal Nehru became the prime minister of independent India and Britain renounced his rule over India. The Britishers no longer had anything to do with the Indian affairs.

Even though we do not bear witness to those times, but we can understand very well the intensity of that crucial time when our country actually gained independence. We cannot help but feel proud of it. However, the declaration of freedom came in written in the year 1929, which is much earlier. This declaration happened along with the great freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi and other known figures, who hoisted the Indian Flag.

It was indeed a big moment for all the Indians. The day of declaration of Indian independence is called as Purna Swaraj . It is quite significant to understand that even though India gained independence in the year 1947, it was only in the 1950s that India’s official constitution as an independent nation came into effect. The period in between was a transition phase in the form of 3 intervening years.

So how can we Indians let go off this momentous day in normalcy and not celebrate this historic day with great pomp and show. So on this day of great historical importance, our prime minister visits Red Fort and hoists the Indian National Flag or our Tricolor (Tiranga). Post that the national anthem is being sung. It is then followed by a stirring speech delivered by our prime minister to the people of its country. Now, the 73rd Independence Day will be celebrated on August 15 th , 2018. The whole sight looks so spectacular and mesmerizing that we can’t help but remain in awe while witnessing the whole ceremony.

In the end, all that can be said is freedom is priceless and our soldiers are so brave that they are continuously fighting on borders in order to protect our country from any militant or terrorist group. So we should never fail to value this freedom and preserve it wholeheartedly.

This is all I can say, Jai Hind!

Dear Student, Young colleagues, I am addressing the proud forum today with great pride that we are free citizens of independent India. Today is the day we celebrate 15 August as Independence Day. On this day, after 200 years of slavery, we got freedom. On 15 August 1947 , Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of our country who hoisted the tricolour flag at the Red Fort.

“Taj is the Himalayas. Flows where there is a stream of Ganges. Where there is unity in diversity. Satyameva is the slogan of Jayate Jahan. Where religion is brotherhood. That country of India is ours. “

Independence Day Speech for Teachers

“Love is too much The vermilion is gone The nappies of the little naval went away Little daughters got peaks Father earned Brother went to study There was such an explosion Full body rash flew A man is dead for you sir But for me the whole world has gone. “

Friends, even after so much, their mothers sent their sons on martyrdom. The women sacrificed their sought vermilion for independence. Friends, imagine that by taking a single tricolor of the temple of that time, today we believe that we are devotees of the country but this is a big mistake of ours. If we were considered a patriot by hoisting the tricolor, the tricolor seller would probably be at the forefront of patriotism.

“Neither know the temple nor know the mosque Those who are stomach-hungry only know the tastes of food. “

Friends, in this era, we only pretend to be patriotic. There is a lack of dedication for our family society and country. Patriotism is the storm in the life of patriotism and traitor Today patriotism hurts when a son leaves his mother in helplessness. A wife accuses her husband of false accusations, and a husband raises his hands on his wife. Today people are more confident in taking selfies except those trapped in trouble. This country had expectations from young men living friends, the same young man sends emojis on his mobile screen with the soft friction of the fingers. In the end, I would like to say that wake-up and truly recognize and prove your patriotism. “Jai Hind Jai Bharat”

Respected chief guest, Respected Headmaster, All the teachers, And all my friends, It is a matter of great fortune that today we have gathered to celebrate the 15th of August. This is the national festival of India on this land of India. All of us have had the privilege of celebrating it. A golden opportunity has been received to take the air in the freedom of the rights. Friends life is all live. We used to take breath even when we were living as slaves. But the only difference between freedom and slavery is that Slavery is bound in bondage and freedom is an opportunity to fly. Being in captivity means that subjection to someone. we all lived under slavery for 200 years when neither we had any rights nor dreams. You must have heard my conscious friends: –

“Bound does not give us a chance to fulfill our dream, Then it seems meaningless to think of others’ development. “

So we were liberated from these fetters, we saw our free sun… we saw the moonlight…. . See the flowers blossoming…. Friends, freedom can be understood by the same person who found himself imprisoned in the chains of slavery. We are fortunate to have been born in independent India. We are born on Indian land where we have received many rights in exchange for duty. Today we are all moving forward with developed India in the present era.

“Between the stairs One floor is water We are free Our flight is free We Indians have a very long story. “

Long and Short Speech on 75th Independence Day/ 15 August 2021 in English

Speech on independence day #1

Respected Chief Guest Sir, Respected teachers, parents and my colleagues, I am feeling happy to get this opportunity to express my views on this auspicious occasion of Independence Day. This is our 75th Independence Day celebration. Exactly 75 years ago today, we got freedom. The story of our freedom struggle is huge which cannot be described in a day. Independence Day holds great importance for every Indian.

75 years ago, we were ruled by the British, they came to India on the pretext of trade and gradually subjugated everything and made us their slaves. Then after fighting many agitations and battles, India became independent on 15 August 1947. Today we have become independent because of the brave warriors of our country and celebrate this day by paying tribute to those people. Independence Day is one of the national festivals of India.

Speech on independence day #2

Respected Principal Sir, Vice Principal Sir, Honorable Teachers and Dear Colleagues. Today, on the occasion of Independence Day, I am feeling very happy to get this opportunity to express my thoughts in front of you, let me tell you about the importance of Independence Day.

Independence Day is a historical festival, India got independence from the British 73 years ago today. India, which had lost its existence, regained its identity. The British came to India and after knowing and examining the surroundings very carefully, keeping in mind our weaknesses, attacked us and ruled for about two hundred years. Our brave warriors fought many battles and after that we got freedom on 15th August 1947.

Since then till today, we have been celebrating 15th August every year as Independence Day. Every year the flag is hoisted at the Red Fort by our honorable Prime Minister. After this he addresses the country and then some colorful programs are presented. People from far and wide go to Delhi to see it and those who are unable to go watch its live broadcast.

Thus we celebrate our Independence Day by remembering our brave soldiers.

Speech on independence day #3

Good morning to all my respected teachers, parents, and dear friends. We have gathered here today to celebrate this great national occasion. As we know that Independence Day is a auspicious occasion for all of us. This is a very important day for all Indian citizens and it has been mentioned in history forever. This is the day when we got freedom from British rule after years of hard struggle by the great freedom fighters of India. To remember the first day of India’s independence, we celebrate Independence Day every year on 15th August as well as remember the sacrifices of all those great leaders who gave their sacrifices for the freedom of India.

India got independence from British rule on 15 August 1947 . After independence we got all the fundamental rights in our nation and motherland. We should be proud of our being Indian and admire our good fortune that we were born in the land of free India. The history of slave India tells everything how our ancestors fought hard and endured the cruel tortures of the firangians . We cannot sit here and imagine how difficult freedom from British rule was. It has taken the sacrifice of lives of countless freedom fighters and several decades of struggle from 1857 to 1947. For the independence of India, the first voice against the British was raised by Mangal Pandey, a soldier working in the British Army.

Later many great freedom fighters fought and gave their whole life for freedom. We all can never forget Bhagat Singh, Khudiram Bose and Chandrashekhar Azad who lost their lives fighting for the country at a very young age. How can we ignore the struggles of Netaji and Gandhiji. Gandhiji was a great personality who taught the lesson of non-violence to Indians. He was the only leader who showed the way of independence through non-violence and finally after a long struggle, the day came on 15 August 1947 when India got independence.

We are very fortunate that our ancestors have given us a land of peace and happiness where we can sleep at night without fear and enjoy the whole day in our school and at home. Our country is developing rapidly in technology, education, sports, finance, and many other areas which would not have been possible without independence. India is one of the countries rich in nuclear energy. We are moving ahead by actively participating in sports like Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games. We have complete freedom to choose our government and are using the world’s largest democracy. Yes, we are free and have complete freedom, although we should not consider ourselves free from responsibilities towards our country. As responsible citizens of the country, we should always be prepared for any emergency.

Speech on independence day #4

Namaskar and Jai Hind to all the respectable people present in this courtyard, teachers, my classmates and all other dignitaries present. We all have gathered here to celebrate the auspicious occasion of this Independence Day on 15th August. Many best wishes and congratulations to all of you on this auspicious occasion. Today, on this auspicious occasion, I have got the opportunity to address all of you, thank you all very much for that.

Friends, as we know, 15th August is a day of honor and pride for every Indian. On 15th August 1947, all our freedom fighters and revolutionaries had given their lives to free our country from the British Empire, and they owe us their sacrifice and freedom of this country. That’s why we celebrate it historically in his memory and honor on this day. On this day, we got freedom from the British rule, which has been oppressing us Indians for almost 200 years, which is incomparable.

The British rule oppressed us Indians for many years and kept us as slaves. There is a saying that “the pot of sin must burst one day”, and according to this saying, on 15th August we got freedom from the slavery of the British and we became completely free. We have also lost many great people of our country in this tireless effort of freedom. Many such great people were born in our country, who did not even care for their lives for the freedom of the country, and sacrificed for the country with laughter. The most important contribution in the independence of our country was given by Mahatma Gandhi, who forced them to leave India by using weapons like truth and non-violence against the British rule. There were many other freedom fighters like Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Subhash Chandra Bosh, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad etc. in the independence of the country, who contributed to the independence of India and freed the country from the clutches of British slavery. Got it done

We are very fortunate that in history we got such great freedom fighters and revolutionaries and they not only liberated the country but also the generations to come from the slavery of the British. Because of this we are free today and day by day we are achieving new achievements and new heights.

After 75 years of independence, today our country is moving towards progress in every field. Our country is writing a new chapter every day in a different field, like military power, education, technology, sports and many other fields, it is writing a new dimension every day. Today our military strength is so good that its example is given all over the world, and any country is too scared to look at India with its eyes. Today our military strength is equipped with modern weapons, which have the power to destroy any enemy in the blink of an eye.

As we know that our country has been an agricultural country since ancient times, and after 15th August 1947, our agricultural sector has also changed a lot. After independence, we use new techniques in agriculture and new methods of growing crops to produce large quantities of crops, and today our country is at the forefront of exporting grains. During the war between India and Pakistan in 1965, the then Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri gave the slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” . And today this slogan proves to a great extent.

Today, after independence, we have made a lot of progress in the field of science. Due to this scientific technology, today India has traveled to the Moon and Mars. By innovating new scientific technology every day, we are taking the country towards a new progress. We are adopting science and technology for ourselves in every field. By adopting science and technology in the field of military, agriculture, education, we have been able to make ourselves at par with the progressive countries. After independence, we have made progress in every field and are writing new dimensions every day.

On this occasion of independence, where we are discussing about the new dimensions of progress of the country, we should never forget that scene of slavery, where our great freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for freedom. Even today, remembering those great people, our eyes become moist. In the glare of today’s new India, we should never forget those great souls who sacrificed everything for the freedom of the country.

Addressing you today on this auspicious occasion, I end my words by paying my respectful obeisances and homage to those great souls, thank you all very much.

Bharat Mata Ki Jai .Jai Hind.

Short Speech on Independence Day for Teachers

Happy independence day and heartily good morning to my dear patriots.

“One individual may die for an idea; but that idea will, after his death incarnate itself in a thousand lives.”

This quote by Netaji means that we are the human incarnation of the ideas that our ancestors have thought of. We must strive harder every day of our life for a better India, that is prosperous and equal to all its citizens.

Independence day is a festival when we celebrate our martyrs and their struggles of a long span of 200 years. India was a British colony for 2 centuries. In this period, the nation underwent a lot of events which made our freedom fighters anxious for a better future. That we are witnessing today. The events being, the massacre at Jalianwala Bagh, the faulty land settlement systems only benefiting the Crown, racial discrimination, and endless such plights. We have come so far that we have started taking it for granted, forgetting the true meaning of the day.

This day shan’t be just a day when we gather to raise the flag and eat sweets. One must keep in mind that the flag that we raise is our head, that we shall never let anyone down. The flag is also the heads that were beheaded in the time stretch. We shall not let them down either. No bite of the delicious sweet should be taken without thinking of those nights when our leaders fought empty stomachs. Us as citizens of this country should always keep the past, present and future glory alive in every moment of this day. We shall promise to keep the head of our farmers, soldiers, doctors, industrialists, and government bodies high. And we shall promise this till perpetuity.

Long Speech on Independence Day for Teachers

Long Speech on Independence Day for Teachers

Happy independence to everyone who has gathered here to celebrate this auspicious festival of independent India. I am thankful for having your attention and with this, I would like to begin my speech.

I am here to speak about the importance of this very day. Like every Indian knows we got independence in 1947 on the 15th of August but not many know it’s importance. As an independent citizen of the Republic of India, I would like to throw some light on the issue that is important to be addressed in the beaming light of our independence under the roof of our Tiranga.

The British raj had made the lives of natives of the subcontinent dreadful. The developments that took place under them were in no sense beneficial to a common peasant. A peasant was the backbone of the economy, as the state was encompassed with agricultural activities. There was a lot of racial discrimination. Many more graver issues like these garnered a feeling of nationalism. This was a great start on a land where people were losing the battle against the unjust.

The independence that we are taking for granted never came to us served on a plate. As time passed the nationalist feelings amongst us also strengthened. Our glorious past made us realize our worth. At this moment there was a strong uprising against the Raj. The economic drain due to commercial plantation and replacement of Indian handicrafts with machines resulted in a nation that was finally awakening. These agitations helped India recoup some say in the government doing.

Also, the censorship from the vernacular press introduction of local self-government slowly made it into the milieu. In 1892 India reached a great millstone with Indian Council Acts which increased the political level of the INC. We swiftly moved towards something great when India finally was breaking the British Raj by hailing satyagraha, swadeshi boycotts, strikes, and mass non-cooperation movement.

With all these events Mahatma Gandhi became a household name in whom people’s faith was residing. And these events made the Indian congress unfurl the Tiranga on the 26th of January 1930 when India celebrated its first independence, called Purna Swaraj. In 1947 India reached a final negotiation and the transfer of authority was finally shifting from the crown to the Indian subcontinent. It has been a long journey and we turned our lowest points into our strength by learning from that period.

India has seen the worst. Now it is our duty to make our motherland proud. This can be achieved only if we are honest towards our duties and respect everyone. Let us absorb what Gandhi Ji said:

“Freedom is never dear at any price. It is the breath of life. What would a man not pay for living?”

I am thankful to my teachers to not just teach us the lesson about Indian independence but also teach us patriotism and love for the nation. I have also learned that as responsible citizens, we all must respect our past. Instead of shifting blames in the wake of hatred we should instead learn to fight against the odds. With this, I will give pause to my words and would want to leave you with a question. Are we all justly serving our nation? India of our dreams should be reaching the heights of honor. Every citizen of India deserves a prosperous life, and we through education can help the nation sprung in all its glory.

Long live the revolution

Independence Day Speech 2 – Short Speech on 15 August

Dear Principal Sir/Madam, teachers and friends. Today, we have come here to celebrate the 73 rd Independence Day of India.

On 15 th August in 1947 we got independence from Britishers. First Prime Minister of India, Chacha Nehru, raised the Indian flag at Red Fort in New Delhi. He also gave his famous speech that day. It was called “Tryst with Destiny”.

Independence Day Speech 3 – Short Speech on 15 August

Respected; Principal, teachers, staff members and all my dear friends. I welcome you all from the bottom of my heart on this day of national reverence, when we celebrate the country’s 73 rd Independence Day, today.

Independence Day Speech 4 – Short Speech on 15 August

Respected Principal Sir, teachers, guests and my dear friends. It’s an honour for me to address you all on our 73 rd Independence Day, today.

Jai Hind!!

Independence Day Speech 5 –  Long Speech on 15 August

Long Speech on Independence Day of India 9 – Speech on 15 August

Independence Day Speech 2023 for School & College Students

heart touching speech on independence day Speech 1

Good morning, our esteemed guests, principal, vice president, teachers, and my cherished students. To commemorate the 77th anniversary of our nation’s independence, we are all gathered here today for this program. This day is very special to all of us. India has been independent for seventy-seven years, and the entire nation is commemorating this milestone with the nectar festival of Independence. On this auspicious occasion, we will remember all those freedom fighters who gave their lives for the sake of the country’s freedom. We were finally free from British rule after hundreds of years thanks to their sacrifices.

Every year on August 15th, we celebrate Independence Day to commemorate the first day of India’s Independence and all the heroic freedom fighters who gave their lives to secure India’s independence. On August 15, 1947, British rule over India came to an end. We received all of the fundamental rights in our country, our homeland, after our independence. Everyone should be proud to be Indian and celebrate our good fortune to have been born in an independent India.

During British rule, the British were ruthless towards our forefathers. Sitting here, we have no idea how challenging it must have been for India to relate to the British Empire. It took many sacrifices from many freedom fighters and decades of fighting between 1857 and 1947. Mangal Pandey, an Indian soldier in the British army, spoke out against the British in support of India’s independence.

Later, many outstanding freedom fighters engaged in lifelong battles for freedom. We can never forget the sacrifices of Lala Lajpat Rai, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Rani Lakshmibai, Khudiram Bose, Sukhdev Thapar, Vallabhbhai Patel, Mangal Pandey, Tatya Tope, Ram Prasad Bismil, Udham Singh, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, and many more who lost their lives just fighting for freedom of our country.

Moreover, Mahatma Gandhi was a great Indian leader who taught his countrymen a valuable lesson in nonviolence. Finally, after many years of struggle and sacrifice, it came to an end on August 15, 1947, when India gained independence.

We are extremely fortunate that our ancestors granted us independence from the British. In the fields of technology, education, sports, and finance, India is growing quickly. The Indians are moving forward actively, competing in events like the Asian, Commonwealth, and Olympic Games. The world’s best democracy is found here. We should honor the culture and civilization here. Let’s make a promise to strengthen the nation, advance the nation, and uphold the nation’s honor on this auspicious occasion. Happy Independence Day to all of you, and best wishes for the future. Let’s shout it out now!

Bharat Mata ki Jai. Vande Mataram. Jai Hind

Thank You and Happy Independence Day to all of you!

Independence Day Speech 2

Namaskar, Jai Hind, and greetings to honorable chief guests, respected principal ma’am, vice principal ma’am, teachers, and my lovely students. To commemorate the joyous occasion of this Independence Day on August 15, we have all gathered here. Best wishes and congratulations to everyone on this auspicious occasion. Today, on this auspicious occasion, I have got the opportunity to address all of you, thank you all very much for that.

As we all know, the 15th of August is a day of honor and pride for every Indian. All of our revolutionaries and freedom fighters gave their lives to free our nation from the British Empire. We are grateful for their sacrifice and the freedom of this nation. That is why, on this day, we commemorate it in their remembrance and honor. On this day, we achieved unparalleled freedom from British rule, which had oppressed us Indians for nearly 200 years.

For many years, British rule oppressed us Indians and kept us as slaves. According to the proverb “the pot of sin must burst one day,” on August 15, we were freed from British slavery and were left completely unenslaved. In this tireless pursuit of freedom, we have also lost many outstanding citizens of our nation. Many such great people who cheerfully made sacrifices for the country and did not even consider risking their lives for its freedom were born in our nation. Mahatma Gandhi made the most significant contribution to the independence of our nation by using non-violent tactics and weapons of truth to drive the British out of India. Numerous other freedom fighters helped India gain its independence and free itself from British rule, including Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Subhash Chandra Bosh, Bhagat Singh, and Chandrashekhar Azad, among others.

We are extremely fortunate that history has produced such great revolutionaries and freedom fighters who not only freed the nation from British savagery but also future generations. As a result, we are free today and daily achieving new accomplishments and heights.

Our nation is making progress in every area after 75 years of independence. Every day, a new chapter is being written in the history of our nation in a variety of fields, including sports, education, technology, and military prowess. Our military might today is so impressive that it serves as a model for other nations around the globe, and no nation dares to look directly at India. Our military force is armed with cutting-edge equipment that can quickly destroy any foe.

Since the 15th of August 1947, our agricultural sector has undergone significant change. As we all know, our nation has been an agricultural nation since ancient times. After gaining our independence, we began using modern agricultural techniques and crop-growing techniques to produce large amounts of crops. As a result, our nation is now a leader in the export of grains. “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” was the slogan used by then-Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri during the India-Pakistan war in 1965. And this slogan still holds today.

Since gaining our independence, science has advanced significantly. India has now visited the Moon and Mars thanks to scientific advancements. Recently, Chandrayaan 3 was also launched by ISRO scientists. We are advancing the nation by developing new scientific technology daily. In every field, we are implementing science and technology for ourselves. We have been able to catch up to more developed nations by implementing science and technology in the fields of education, agriculture, and the military. Since gaining our independence, we have advanced in every industry and are constantly adding new dimensions.

On this day of independence, when we are debating the new frontiers of the nation’s development, we must never forget the scene of slavery where our great freedom fighters gave their lives for the cause of freedom. Even now, when we think of those wonderful people, we get tears in our eyes. We must never lose sight of those noble souls who gave their all for India’s freedom in the spotlight of modern India.

Addressing you today on this auspicious occasion, I conclude my remarks by paying my respectful tribute and homage to those great souls, and I thank you all very much.
