  2. Home Alone 2: Lost In New York movie review (1992)

Directed by. Chris Columbus. I have a feeling that "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" is going to be an enormous box office success, but include me out. I didn't much like the first film, and I don't much like this one, with its sadistic little hero who mercilessly hammers a couple of slow-learning crooks. Nor did I enjoy the shameless attempt to ...

  3. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York Movie Review

Our review: Parents say ( 25 ): Kids say ( 94 ): The early family scenes in Home Alone 2 are some of the movie's funniest moments, as are Kevin's clever survival schemes at the hotel and on the streets of New York. As a sequel, the movie manages to be funny, if predictable, and occasionally borders on heart-warming -- in an odd yet touching ...

Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are hilarious, as always. Catherine O'Hara and John heard are amiable as the parents, while the wonderful Tim Curry gives a hilarious performance as the Concierge. My favourite scenes were the bathroom scene in the hotel, and when the staff are held hostage by a television. Just priceless.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York: Directed by Chris Columbus. With Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Catherine O'Hara. One year after Kevin McCallister was left home alone and had to defeat a pair of bumbling burglars, he accidentally finds himself stranded in New York City - and the same criminals are not far behind.

  9. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Home Alone 2 is my personal favourite, and I watch it about once a month. The only problem is that the jokes are basically retreads of the first movie, but believe me, they're miles better than the ones in the fourth ( which is one of the worst movies ever) This is still a very solid film, that gets slow in the second half.

  12. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York critic reviews

Whatever was unforced and funny in the first film has become exaggerated here, whatever was slightly sentimental has been laid on with a trowel. The result, with some exceptions, plays like an over-elaborate parody of the first film, reminding us why we enjoyed it without being able to duplicate its appeal. Read More.

  19. HOME ALONE 2: LOST IN NEW YORK Review

Unfortunately, the violence is extreme and almost stressful to watch. Of course, HOME ALONE 2: LOST IN NEW YORK affirms man's need for fellowship. However, the Christmas sentiments-such as good will and friendship-regrettably melt into a muddled humanism. For many, it was not the Kevin-vs-crooks showdown that made the original movie a ...

  20. 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York' (1992) gets darker

Sequels inspired by easy money rather than creative impulse are always risky propositions for viewers, and "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" (1992) - following in the footsteps of the most successful Christmas film and most successful comedy ever - is worth approaching with wariness. It's not phoned in by the returning team of writer ...

See also our review of "Home Alone 3" I watched this movie about a year ago and enjoyed the whole thing. 24. Parent reviews for Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Great movie. There isn't too much violence and it is safe for 7 and up. There are really good positive messages and it was hilarious. There is only one violent scene in which the kid is throwing bricks on the robbers. But they don't get too badly hurt. Otherwise there is no violence. It is a great family movie.
