కథ (3Cs Web Series Story) : చైత్ర రంగనాథన్ (స్పందన పల్లి)కి పెళ్లి. దానికి ముందు ఇంట్లో శుభకార్యానికి స్కూల్‌మేట్‌ చంద్రిక (నిత్యా శెట్టి) వస్తుంది. మరో స్కూల్‌మేట్‌ కేథరిన్ సంగం వేరోనికా (జ్ఞానేశ్వరి)ని ఇద్దరూ కలుస్తారు. చంద్రిక ఓ అబ్బాయిని ప్రేమిస్తుంది. అయితే, వేరే అమ్మాయితో అతడు సన్నిహితంగా ఉండటం చూసి సూసైడ్ చేసుకుంటానని ఏడుస్తుంది. ఓదార్చే క్రమంలో ఆమెతో పాటు స్కూల్‌మేట్స్ ఇద్దరూ కూడా అప్‌కమింట్‌ యాక్ట్రెస్ దియా (సోనమ్ చౌరాసియా) డ్రగ్స్ కలిపి ఇచ్చిన వోడ్కా తాగుతారు. కట్ చేస్తే... తెల్లారే సరికి అండమాన్‌లో ఉంటారు. అదీ క్రూజ్‌లోని మూడు లక్షల రూపాయల సూట్ రూమ్‌లో! మిడ్ నైట్ 12 వరకు హైదరాబాద్‌లో ఉన్న అమ్మాయిలు మూడు గంటలకు అండమాన్ ఎలా వచ్చారు? చైత్రకు కాబోయే వాడు సుజిత్ (రామ్ నితిన్)ను గే ప్రాస్టిట్యూషన్ రాకెట్‌కు అమ్మేసింది ఎవరు? అండమాన్ నుంచి మళ్ళీ ముంబైకు ఎందుకు వెళ్ళారు? అక్కడ బడే బాయ్ అలియాస్ శార్దూర్ ఠాకూర్ (వీరేన్ తంబిదొరై), అండమాన్ నుంచి వచ్చిన స్మగ్లింగ్ కింగ్ బాబ్ (సందీప్ వేద్) ఎందుకు అమ్మాయిల వెంట పడ్డారు? అనేది సోనీ లివ్ ఓటీటీలో వెబ్ సిరీస్ చూసి తెలుసుకోవాలి.

విశ్లేషణ : హాలీవుడ్ హిట్ సినిమా 'హ్యాంగోవర్' గుర్తు ఉందా? పోనీ, 'అల్లరి' నరేష్ హీరోగా వచ్చిన 'యాక్షన్ త్రీడీ' సినిమా? సేమ్ టు సేమ్... ఈ వెబ్ సిరీస్ కూడా అంతే! '3 సిస్' మీద ప్రతి సన్నివేశంలో 'హ్యాంగోవర్' ప్రభావం కనబడుతుంది. ఆ సినిమా స్ఫూర్తితో ఈ వెబ్ సిరీస్ తీశారు. కాకపోతే... క్యారెక్టర్స్ జెండర్ స్వైప్ చేశారు. అబ్బాయిల బదులు అమ్మాయిలను మెయిన్ లీడ్స్ చేశారు.

'3 సిస్' రచయిత, దర్శకుడు సందీప్ కుమార్ తోటను ఒకే ఒక్క విషయంలో మనం మెచ్చుకోవాలి. 'హ్యాంగోవర్' క్యారెక్టర్స్ మన నేటివిటీకి తగ్గట్టు కాస్త జెండర్ స్వైప్ చేసినందుకు! చేస్తే ఆడియన్స్ గుర్తు పట్టలేరని, కొత్తగా ఉంటుందని కాన్ఫిడెన్స్‌తో తీసినందుకు! మిగతా విషయాల్లో ప్రేక్షకుల ఓపికను సందీప్ కుమార్ తోట గట్టిగా పరీక్షించారు. సిరీస్ స్టార్టింగ్ నుంచి ఎండింగ్ వరకు కామెడీ వర్కవుట్ చేయడంలో కింద మీద పడ్డారు. అసలు, కొన్ని అంటే కొన్ని సన్నివేశాల్లో ఆ కామెడీ వర్కవుట్ అయ్యింది. యాక్టర్స్ నుంచి తనకు కావాల్సింది తీసుకోవడంలో కూడా తడబడ్డారు. చాలా మందితో ఓవర్ యాక్టింగ్ చేయించారు.

నిజానికి... '3 సిస్'లో డార్క్‌, స్లాప్‌స్టిక్‌ కామెడీకి బోలెడు స్కోప్ ఉంది. సిరీస్ మీద ఏ మూవీ ఇన్స్పిరేషన్ ఉందనేది పక్కన పెడితే... మెయిన్ లీడ్స్, ఆర్టిస్ట్ క్యారెక్టర్ బాగా డిజైన్ చేశారు. సమయం, సందర్భం లేకుండా... అసలు ఎక్కడ ఉన్నామనేది ఆలోచించకుండా నిత్యా శెట్టి రోల్ మనసులో అనిపించింది చెప్పేస్తుంది. ఇంట్లో తల్లిదండ్రులు ఏం అనుకుంటారోనని తనకు నచ్చింది చేయకుండా కాంప్రమైజ్ అయ్యే అమ్మాయి రోల్ స్పందన పల్లి చేశారు. ప్రాక్టికాలిటీకి దగ్గరగా జ్ఞానేశ్వరి క్యారెక్టర్ ఉంటుంది. మధ్యలో గే ప్రాస్టిట్యూషన్ ఒకటి. వీళ్ళకు తోడు క్రైమ్, ముంబై రౌడీలు... కథాకమామీషు చాలా ఉంది.    బిర్యానీకి అవసరమైన సరుకులు అన్నీ ఉంటే సరిపోతుందా? వాటిని తీసుకుని రుచిగా వంట చేసి పెట్టే షెఫ్ కూడా కావాలిగా! '3 సిస్' కథలో అన్నీ ఉన్నాయి. కానీ, ప్రేక్షకుడిని నవ్విస్తూ, తర్వాత ఏం జరుగుతుందోనని ఆసక్తిగా తీయగల దర్శకుడు లేకపోవడంతో కంగాళీ అయ్యింది. టెక్నికల్ పరంగా అభిరాజ్ నాయర్ కెమెరా వర్క్ బావుంది. సునీల్ కశ్యప్ నేపథ్య సంగీతం, ఫస్ట్ ఎపిసోడ్ ప్రారంభంలో వచ్చే పెళ్లి పాట కూడా! కానీ, ఆ సన్నివేశాలు ఎవరి వర్క్ మీద కాన్సంట్రేట్ చేయకుండా చేశాయి. ఖర్చు విషయంలో చాలా పరిమితులు ఉన్నట్టు సిరీస్ చూస్తుంటే అర్థం అవుతుంది.   నటీనటులు ఎలా చేశారంటే? : ముగ్గురు అమ్మాయిల్లో స్పందన పల్లి నటన కాస్త నమ్మేలా ఉంది. జ్ఞానేశ్వరి నటనకు, ఆ డబ్బింగుకు అసలు సంబంధమే లేదు. పక్కన ఎవరో మాట్లాడుతున్నట్టు ఉంటుంది. నిత్యా శెట్టికి అమాయకపు అమ్మాయి పాత్ర దొరకడంతో ఓవర్ యాక్టింగ్ చేశారు. యూట్యూబ్ ఫిల్మ్స్, 'హలో వరల్డ్' వెబ్ సిరీస్ చేసిన రామ్ నితిన్ తన పాత్రకు న్యాయం చేశారు. సంజయ్ రావ్ క్యారెక్టర్, యాక్టింగ్ కూడా పర్వాలేదు. మిగతా వాళ్ళలో ఎవరికీ గుర్తుండే క్యారెక్టర్లు గానీ, బాగా నటించే సన్నివేశాలు గానీ పడలేదు.     Also Read : 'దిల్' రాజు ఒక్కడూ ఒకవైపు - బడా నిర్మాతలు మరోవైపు?

చివరగా చెప్పేది ఏంటంటే? : '3 సిస్' వెబ్ సిరీస్ స్టార్ట్ చేసిన తర్వాత 'మనకు ఇది చూడటం తప్ప వేరే ఛాయస్ లేదా?' అనే ఆలోచన వస్తుంది. వేరే ఛాన్సెస్ ఏం ఉన్నాయి? అనిపిస్తుంది. ఆ తర్వాత చేంజ్ చేయాలనిపిస్తుంది. 'హ్యాంగోవర్' కాన్సెప్ట్ తీసుకుని అమ్మాయిలతో తీస్తే జనాలు చూస్తారని అనుకోవడం తప్ప... ప్రేక్షకులను నవ్వించే ప్రయత్నం '3 సిస్'లో తక్కువ కనబడుతుంది.

Trailer out for Sony LIV original Telugu series 3Cs - Choices, Chances, and Changes

The first official trailer for Sony LIV’s upcoming original Telugu series 3Cs - Choices, Chances , and Changes has been released online. The series is currently scheduled to start streaming on Sony LIV on 6 January. 

3Cs follows three friends Chaitra, Chandu, and Cat who end up crossing paths with gangsters following a drunken adventure and how they experience the three big C’s in life: Choices, Chances, and Changes, forms the rest of the story. 

Billed as an action-thriller, the series is directed by Sampath Kumar Thota and is produced by Rahul Yadav A and Suhasini. The cast of the series includes Spandana Palli, Nitya Shetty, Gnaneswari kandregula, Sanjay Rao, Ram Nitin, Viren thambidorai, Sandeep Ved, Shantanu, and Appaji. The music for the series has been composed by Achu Rajamani while Sunil kashyap has taken care of the background score. The cinematography is handled by Abhiraj Nair while the series is edited by Junaid.

Luca Review

Luca is an ode to friendship. The 84-minute Pixar movie on Disney+, from feature directorial debutant Enrico Casarosa, is inspired by his own childhood — Luca is dedicated to Casarosa's best friend Alberto Surace, whose name he lends to the deuteragonist and the title protagonist's best friend — in the Italian Riviera in the 1970s and 1980s. It's set in a world that takes after the 1950s and the 1960s, for Casarosa doesn't feel as nostalgic (yet) about the eighties. But Luca 's is also a fantasy world. The aforementioned Luca (voiced by Jacob Tremblay, from Room) and Alberto (Jack Dylan Grazer, from Shazam!) are actually “sea monsters”, feared and hunted by the humans who live above the surface. Though technically, they are shapeshifting amphibians, that become fish in water, and human on land.

3Cs OTT release date: When and where to watch the thriller starring Nitya Shetty, Gnaneswari Kandregula

Leading OTT platform, SonyLIV, that produced the critically acclaimed Meet Cute, directed by Deepthi Ganta, in 2022, is back in the news for another Telugu web series titled 3Cs - Choices, Chances and Changes. 3Cs, directed by Sampath Kumar Thota, stars Spandana Palli, Nitya Shetty, Gnaneswari Kandregula and Sanjay Rao in key roles. The show’s premiere date was announced recently.

3Cs, a crime thriller, will premiere on SonyLIV on January 6. Ram Nitin, Viren Thambidorai, Sandeep Ved, Shantanu, Appaji and others play important roles in the show produced by Rahul Yadav A and Suhasini. The trailer offering a sneak-peek into the show was launched earlier this week. 3Cs revolves around three modern-day women trapped amidst a series of gangs, gangsters after a wild night.

One of the women is on the verge of getting married, another girl is getting over her ex while the other is firm about not falling prey to societal conventions. The trio of women steal something valuable from a gangster Bob’s garage. While the women confess about coming for a holiday along with another man, the latter goes missing under mysterious circumstances. They’re in for a mad ride ahead.

There’s a subplot about a man being sold off to a gang connected to a gay prostitution racket. A series of goons are upto something, chasing people, warning them and the backdrop suddenly shifts to Mumbai. Within the group of women, there’re many mysteries and they are desperate to get out of the mess they’ve landed amidst. What’s in store for the women?

Produced under Streamline Productions, the show is cinematographed by Abhiraj Nair and has music by Achu Rajamani. Sunil Kashyap has come up with the background score for the show that’s edited by Junaid. Vijay is the art director and Syeda Naureen is the costume designer respectively. Roll Ride is the sole lyricist.

Touted to be a crime thriller, 3Cs will revolve around three modern-day women who are trapped in a situation that involves gangsters after an unfortunate night.

Telugu star Adivi Sesh 's HIT: The Second Case arrived on Amazon Prime Video on a rental basis. The film, which was released on December 2, stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the co-lead. Rao Ramesh and Komali Prasad play key roles in the movie. Directed by Shailesh Kolanu, the makers have not yet announced when the film would be available to all subscribers of the streamer.

'Jhansi' second season

One of the most popular shows of Disney+ Hotstar , Jhansi is set to come back with a second season. The second season of the show, headlined by Anjali, Chandini Chowdary, Samyukta Hornad, and Talluri Rameshwari, is arriving on the streamer on January 19. The first season went on to receive acclaim from fans and critics alike, and its second installment's arrival was highly awaited.

OTT platform Aha has released a new film, My Dear Donga. The film stars Abhinav Gomatam and Shalini Kondepudi in the lead roles. Let’s see how it is.

Sujatha (Shalini Kondepudi) works as a copywriter in a dating app. Her relationship with Varun (Nikhil Gajula) isn’t going smoothly. Sujatha feels she is being ignored by one and all, including her best friend, Bujji (Divya Sripada). This is when a robber named Suresh (Abhinav Gomatam) enters her life, and she feels connected to him. How a small time thief changed Sujatha’s life is what the film is about.

Plus Points:

Shalini is also the writer for My Dear Donga. More than a writer, she shines as an actor. Shalini Kondepudi has a neat screen presence and looks very comfortable in Sujatha’s role, mouthing her dialogues with ease. Her comedy timing is pretty good, as well.

The situational humor works very well in the initial portions of the film. Shalini is initially shell-shocked to see a robber in her house, and the scenes that come in this regard are natural and generate good fun. Abhinav Gomatam is doing unique roles off late, and he entertains us with his simple yet endearing performance in My Dear Donga.

Nikhil Gajula, who played Shalini’s boyfriend, is very impressive. Shalini getting close to Abhinav Gomatam makes him feel jealous, and the manner in which Nikhil expresses his frustration will bring a smile to our faces. Divya Sripada is decent in her role.

Minus Points:

The major complaint of today’s generation is getting ignored and not having anyone to talk to. Shalini touches upon this aspect, making the film relatable to youngsters. However, the movie doesn’t have the proper emotional depth to justify the core point, which is why it doesn’t reach the next level. The simple gestures of a robber make Shalini make crucial decisions in life. But there aren’t enough emotional moments in the plot, and hence, the film doesn’t look convincing.

The last twenty minutes aren’t handled well, and this is where the film lacks clarity. The situational comedy doesn’t land well in the latter half of the film, and one such example is the police station scene, which is poorly written and executed.

Initially, when Shalini’s character breaks the fourth wall (addressing viewers directly), it appears good, but the overuse of it dilutes the impact. Embedded marketing of brands is quite common in films, but in My Dear Donga, it has been overdone and will surely cause irritation at some point.

Technical Aspects:

Ajay Arasada’s music and background score are decent. SS Manoj’s cinematography is fine, and he neatly depicts the limited locations through his lens. The editing is sharp. The production values are decent.

B.S. Sarwagna Kumar’s direction is just okay. The simplistic nature of the plot without the emotional depth is the main drawback of the film. Shalini does well as a performer, but her writing could have been much better.

On the whole, My Dear Donga tries to address the issues in modern-day relationships in a light-hearted manner. The film’s theme, a few endearing moments, and short duration are its assets. Shalini Kondepudi, Abhinav Gomatam, and Nikhil Gajula are quite good in their roles. The humor is both a hit and miss. While a few fun portions click, a few don’t. The emotional scenes could have been portrayed better. If your expectations are set correctly, My Dear Donga will end up being a passable watch.
