Ans: He compares Juliet’s beauty to nature. Romeo says that even the bright light of a torch would look dull before the brightness of Juliet. It looks like she hangs on the cheek of night. Romeo says that the beauty of Juliet is like a jewel that is hung in the ear of an African woman. Romeo says Juliet is too beautiful to belong to Earth. Juliet’s beauty is so vast that she cannot die and be buried in the Earth. The earth cannot contain her beauty. He further says Juliet is like white snow that is flying with other common people who belong to the species of crows. Romeo just wishes t express that Juliet belongs to the divine world and living among the ordinary and common people. Romeo proposes to find the place where Juliet stood and wants to touch her blessed hand and make his own rude hand blessed. Romeo further asks a question whether he ever loved before. He feels this is true love. Romeo thinks he has never seen a beautiful woman like Juliet before this night.

  15) Why does the Prophet categorically say "Your children are not your children" in the poem "On children"?

Ans: As per the poet, love includes the main part in God's creation. Love is not made by us yet is sent from above and it coordinates everything in our life as it sees it. The poet defines how love works in the close connection of parenthood. The poet needs us to understand that our job as parents is just 'stewardship' and that is it. In the line ‘Your children are not your children’ Gibran advises parents to know that a child is not a thing to be controlled by us since we have not made 'life'. A child is everlasting life itself and is a blessing from the wealth of presence. As parents we may have carried them to the earth. This has occurred so because we have been decided to be a vehicle thus, we are nothing else except for a section. It is life's yearning for itself that carries children to earth, as boys and girls. Since children are not inert things, we cannot have them. That is the reason the prophet completely expresses that ‘Your children are not your children.’

16) How does Neruda describe the busy life of the individual as represented by the Foot in the poem “To the Foot from its Child"

Ans: The poet Pablo Neruda presents a differentiating picture of a child's foot and an adult's foot in order to outline the movements that are found in a person's life as the person changes from a baby into an adult, until his death. The 'foot' is used as a metaphor for life and the foot refers to the foot of a person. When the child grows into an adult, the adult continues walking without break either as a man or as a lady. The individual consumes his time on earth working either as a farmer in a field, or as a miner in mines, or as a sales representor  on the post or as an administration servant or as a church minister. This way the individual works hard in the public eye until his death.

17) 'Heaven lies all Over' How does the poet bring out this in “Heaven, If you are not on Earth"?

Ans: Heaven is not somewhere else yet inside us and is everywhere on the world. Assuming we are satisfactory, that is heaven and if we are terrible that is hell. Nature is also a heaven as we can and heaven in objects, like trees, moon, and sands of grains and so on. As per Kuvempu, there is no heaven in all actuality. Entities like 'God', 'Heaven', and the nymphs are merely creations of man's creative mind. Every one of the various types of nature like the green forests, the streams that jump down the slopes, the waves that move across the oceans, the twilight evening, and the quality of reap show up more lovely than the imaginary descriptions of the man.

  19) Write a short note on ‘Biodiversity intensive farming’ according to Vandana Shiva.

Ans: It is important to promote bio-diversity intensive farming because its developments division-based diversity where each species gets times to support itself in co-activity with others and no species in a forest appropriates the portion of another species. Since failure to get biodiversity and its numerous capacities prompts a disadvantage of nature and culture, it gets basic to practice bio-diversity serious cultivating. The author began Navdanya Farm in 1994 in the Doon Valley where she practiced biodiversity-concentrated cultivating. She thinks that bio-variety serious cultivating produces more food and nutrition per section of land and later bio-variety is the response to the food and nourishment emergency. At first, she began saving seeds from farmers' fields and today they can save and grow 630 varieties of rice, 150 varieties of wheat, and several different species.

At the point when his followers encouraged him to one or the other go to the court or look for the assistance of the police or request that a few people attack Basavaiah and reclaim his property, Tammanna hit on a remarkable idea, of demolishing Basavaiah. Ans: “Only the book is an extension of our imagination and memory” According to Luis Borges opines that the author’s intention is a meager thing- a fallible thing. In every book, there is a need for something more, which is always mysterious. When we read an ancient book, we feel as though we are reading all time that has passed from the day it was written to our present – day because the book always retains something sacred, something mortal and something magical which brings happiness. Only the book which could keep as record of our imagination and memory. That is why Borges quoted Bernard Shaw words “Every book worth being re-read has been written by the spirit.

22) To what extent was Roof the most trusted of the whispering campaigners in "The Voter"?

Ans: Marcus is looking for re-election as a representative of Umuofia. Besides, we also realize that it was Roof who had worked for his success in the past election. As a trusted whispering campaign manager of Marcus, he had the option to convince the people of Umuofia that Marcus would work for the government assistance of people and they would get numerous conveniences like running water and electricity. During the five years as people's representative, Marcus demonstrated to everybody how joining political issues can be worthwhile. He had also given gifts to Roof to hold him as his election campaigner for the coming election too. However, Roof was sufficiently sharp to see an adjustment of the mind-set people and warned Marcus about it. That is the reason, in the whispering campaign, he goes furnished with money bags to charm the electors. Until the last day of the battling, Roof stays faithful and the most trusted of Marcus' whispering campaigner. Yet, the visitor from POP keenly baits Roof to guarantee his decision in favor of Maduka offering a huge amount. It is at this crossroads that we see a gouge in his dependability towards Marcus. Even though he realizes that a half ballot form paper is invalid as a person's order, he tears the vote in two and places one half into each container, subsequently settling the ethical situation to him. This way he is just comforting his soul and does not remain practically faithful to Marcus.

  23) ‘Cycling brings about changes beyond economic gains’ How did P. Sainath express in his views in ‘Where There Is a Wheel’?

Ans: P. Sainath presents an eye-witness report of 'cycling' turning into a social movement. He reveals to us how tens of thousands of women in the Pudukkottai district of Tamil Nadu got started to master cycling. When the movement turned into a major power, each lady in Pudukkottai elected to learn cycling. Towards the finish of the article, Sainath says, other than giving women opportunity, mobility, and freedom, it likewise has distinct economic implications. It supports their family pay. Sainath reports that a segment of the ladies sells agricultural or different items inside a gathering of towns. For them, cycling saves time wasted in waiting for bus. Also, it gives them much more an ideal opportunity to zero in on selling their produce. Thirdly, it grows the region they wish to cover. In conclusion, it can save their time. Taking everything into account, he says, cycling achieves changes past economic gains moreover. 'Cycling' gives them a self-appreciation regard which is crucial to their feeling of prosperity. Thus, Sainath says that this modest vehicle has become a metaphor for opportunity for these women.

24) How did Dona Laura's friend and Don Gonzalo's cousin's sad love affair end in “A Sunny Morning".

Ans: Dona Laura tells Don Gonzalo that her friend had kept in touch with her that she had awaited news about Gonzalo for almost a year. Later one evening, right at nightfall, as the first stars were seeming she went out and went to the beach side where her beloved had put his life in extreme danger. She wrote his name on the sand and afterward sat downward on a rock; her gaze fixed upon the skyline. The waves mumbled their everlasting threnody and gradually crawled up to the rock where the lady sat. The tide rose with a blast and cleared her out to the sea.

Don Gonzalo tells Laura that the courageous lover was his cousin and he was exceptionally fond of him. Don Gonzalo tells her that after the duel the young fellow took shelter in his home being terrified of the results of a duel with a person highly regarded in that locality. Then, he tells her that from his home his cousin went to Seville and afterward came to Madrid. Then he wrote Laura many letters which were taken away by her parents. He says so since he realizes without a doubt that she didn't answer his letters by any means. Don Gonzalo then closes the story saying that, hopelessly, accepting that he had lost his love forever he joined the army, then went to Africa and there is a trench, met a glorious death grasping the flag of Spain and murmuring the name of his cherished Laura.

How was the destructive nature of water brought out in the poem "Water" by Challapalli Swaroopa Rani?

Ans: The poet focuses on the agony of a Panchama, a caste that does not even feature in the distinctly divided Varana Ashramas. The Panchama does not have the right to draw a pot of water from the well and thus they wait the whole day for some gentle Shudra to come and give him some water. Ironically the Shudra also happens to be on the last rung of the social order. The poet further elaborates on the agony of the Panchama girl. As this girl waits to get some water, the giver pours water from a distance and eventually, water falls out and drenches her. This action brings a lot of humiliation to the girl. The poor, villagers become playthings in the powerful hands of water. At times it turns some villages into deserts and at other times it drowns villages. The poor are part of the vicious circle and have no escape from the clutches of the 'monster.
