किसी भी राष्ट्र अथवा समाज में शिक्षा सामाजिक नियंत्रण, व्यक्तित्व निर्माण तथा सामाजिक व आर्थिक प्रगति का मापदंड होती है । भारत की वर्तमान शिक्षा प्रणाली ब्रिटिश प्रतिरूप पर आधारित है जिसे सन् 1835 ई॰ में लागू किया गया ।

जिस तीव्र गति से भारत के सामाजिक, राजनैतिक व आर्थिक परिदृश्य में बदलाव आ रहा है उसे देखते हुए यह आवश्यक है कि हम देश की शिक्षा प्रणाली की पृष्ठभूमि, उद्‌देश्य, चुनौतियों तथा संकट पर गहन अवलोकन करें ।

सन् 1835 ई॰ में जब वर्तमान शिक्षा प्रणाली की नींव रखी गई थी तब लार्ड मैकाले ने स्पष्ट शब्दों में कहा था कि अंग्रेजी शिक्षा का उद्‌देश्य भारत में प्रशासन के लिए बिचौलियों की भूमिका निभाने तथा सरकारी कार्य के लिए भारत के विशिष्ट लोगों को तैयार करना है ।

इसके फलस्वरूप एक सदी तक अंग्रेजी शिक्षा के प्रयोग में लाने के बाद भी 1935 ई॰ में भारत की साक्षरता दस प्रतिशत के आँकड़े को भी पार नहीं कर पाई । स्वतंत्रता प्राप्ति के समय भारत की साक्षरता मात्र 13 प्रतिशत ही थी ।

इस शिक्षा प्रणाली ने उच्च वर्गों को भारत के शेष समाज में पृथक् रखने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई । ब्रिटिश समाज में बीसवीं सदी तक यह मानना था कि श्रमिक वर्ग के बच्चों को शिक्षित करने का तात्पर्य है उन्हें जीवन में अपने कार्य के लिए अयोग्य बना देना । ब्रिटिश शिक्षा प्रणाली ने निर्धन परिवारों के बच्चों के लिए भी इसी नीति का अनुपालन किया ।

लगभग पिछले दो सौ वर्षों की भारतीय शिक्षा प्रणाली के विश्लेषण से यह निष्कर्ष निकाला जा सकता है कि यह शिक्षा नगर तथा उच्च वर्ग केंद्रित, श्रम तथा बौद्‌धिक कार्यों से रहित थी । इसकी बुराइयों को सर्वप्रथम गाँधी जी ने 1917 ई॰ में गुजरात एजुकेशन सोसायटी के सम्मेलन में उजागर किया तथा शिक्षा में मातृभाषा के स्थान और हिंदी के पक्ष को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर तार्किक ढंग से रखा । स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के दिनों में शांति निकेतन, काशी विद्‌यापीठ आदि विद्‌यालयों में शिक्षा के प्रयोग को प्राथमिकता दी गई ।

सन् 1944 ई॰ में देश में शिक्षा कानून पारित किया गया । स्वतंत्रता प्राप्ति के उपरांत हमारे संविधान निर्माताओं तथा नीति-नियामकों ने राष्ट्र के पुननिर्माण, सामाजिक-आर्थिक विकास आदि क्षेत्रों में शिक्षा के महत्व को स्वीकार किया । इस मत की पुष्टि हमें राधाकृष्ण समिति (1949), कोठारी शिक्षा आयोग (1966) तथा नई शिक्षा नीति (1986) से मिलती है ।

शिक्षा के महत्व को समझते हुए भारतीय संविधान ने अनुसूचित जातियों व जनजातियों के लिए शिक्षण संस्थाओं व विभिन्न सरकारी अनुष्ठानों आदि में आरक्षण की व्यवस्था की । पिछड़ी जातियों को भी इन सुविधाओं के अंतर्गत लाने का प्रयास किया गया । स्वतंत्रता के बाद हमारी साक्षरता दर तथा शिक्षा संस्थाओं की संख्या में नि:संदेह वृद्‌धि हुई है परंतु अब भी 40 प्रतिशत से अधिक जनसंख्या निरक्षर है ।

दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बात यह है कि स्वतंत्रता के बाद विश्वविद्यालयों में उच्च शिक्षा व प्राविधिक शिक्षा का स्तर तो बढ़ा है परंतु प्राथमिक शिक्षा का आधार दुर्बल होता चला गया । शिक्षा का लक्ष्य राष्ट्रीयता, चरित्र निर्माण व मानव संसाधन विकास के स्थान पर मशीनीकरण रहा जिससे चिकित्सकीय तथा उच्च संस्थानों से उत्तीर्ण छात्रों में लगभग 40 प्रतिशत से भी अधिक छात्रों का देश से बाहर पलायन जारी रहा ।

देश में प्रौढ़ शिक्षा और साक्षरता के नाम पर लूट-खसोट, प्राथमिक शिक्षा का दुर्बल आधार, उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों का अपनी सशक्त भूमिका से अलग हटना तथा अध्यापकों का पेशेवर दृष्टिकोण वर्तमान शिक्षा प्रणाली के लिए एक नया संकट उत्पन्न कर रहा है ।

पूँजीवादी अर्थव्यवस्था के नए चेहरे, निजीकरण तथा उदारीकरण की विचारधारा से शिक्षा को भी ‘उत्पाद’ की दृष्टि से देखा जाने लगा है जिसे बाजार में खरीदा-बेचा जाता है । इसके अतिरिक्त उदारीकरण के नाम पर राज्य भी अपने दायित्वों से विमुख हो रहे हैं ।

इस प्रकार सामाजिक संरचना से वर्तमान शिक्षा प्रणाली के संबंधों, पाठ्‌यक्रमों का गहन विश्लेषण तथा इसकी मूलभूत दुर्बलताओं का गंभीर रूप से विश्लेषण की चेष्टा न होने के कारण भारत की वर्तमान शिक्षा प्रणाली आज भी संकटों के चक्रव्यूह में घिरी हुई है । प्रत्येक दस वर्षों में पाठ्य-पुस्तकें बदल दी जाती हैं लेकिन शिक्षा का मूलभूत स्वरूप परिवर्तित कर इसे रोजगारोन्मुखी बनाने की आवश्यकता है ।

हमारी वर्तमान शिक्षा प्रणाली गैर-तकनीकी छात्र-छात्राओं की एक ऐसी फौज तैयार कर रही है जो अंततोगत्वा अपने परिवार व समाज पर बोझ बन कर रह जाती है । अत: शिक्षा को राष्ट्र निर्माण व चरित्र निर्माण से जोड़ने की नितांत आवश्यकता है ।

वर्तमान शिक्षा प्रणाली की एक प्रमुख विशेषता यह है कि इसमें महिला साक्षरता की तरफ विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है। महिला साक्षरता बढ़ने से आज समाज में महिलाओं की स्थिति सुदृढ़ हुई है। वर्तमान में महिलाओं की साक्षरता दर 64.6 प्रतिशत है।

विद्यालयों में ऐसी शिक्षा जो बच्चों के चरित्र का निर्माण कर उनमें सामाजिक सरोकार विकसित करे उसका स्थान व्यावसायिक शिक्षा ने ले लिया है, जिसके अंतर्गत हम एक आत्मकेंद्रित, सामाजिक सरोकारों और मूल्यों से कटे हुए एक इंसान का निर्माण कर रहे हैं, जिससे समाज में बिखराव की स्थिति पैदा हो रही है।

वर्तमान शिक्षा प्रणाली का एक बड़ा दोष यह भी है कि यह रोजगारोन्मुख नहीं है अर्थात इसमें कौशल और हुनर का अभाव है। स्कूल, कॉलेज और विश्वविद्यालय डिग्रियाँ बाँटने वाली एजेंसियाँ बन गई हैं।

अनपढ़ व्यक्ति समझ ही नहीं पाता है की क्या और कौन सही है क्योंकि उसने कभी शिक्षा ली ही नहीं होती है। आज भारत जैसे बड़े देश मे निरक्षरता ही गरीबी, बेरोज़गारी का सबसे बड़ा मुख्य कारण है। शिक्षा का अर्थ हिन्दी या अंग्रेजी नहीं, बल्कि स्कूल जा कर सभी प्रकार की शिक्षा को ग्रहण करना है। कई प्रकार के खेल-कूद प्रतियोगिताएं भी शिक्षा का अभिन्न अंग हैं।

फोन, स्मार्ट फोन, टेबलेट में लोगो के नाम हिंदी या अंग्रेजी में सुरक्षित रखे जाते है। मेसेज भी हिंदी या अंग्रेजी में आता है। इसलिए अब देश में अगर कोई व्यक्ति फोन या स्मार्ट फोन इस्तेमाल करना चाहता है तो उसका पढ़ा लिखा होना बेहद जरूरी है।

अब दुकानों, ऑफिस, रेल टिकट काउन्टर, सभी जगह कम्प्यूटर पर काम होता है। कंप्युटर अब जीवन का अभिन्न अंग बन चुका है। इस पर काम करने के लिए हिंदी और अंग्रेजी भाषा की अच्छी जानकारी होनी चाहिये। इसलिए सभी माता-पिता अपने बच्चों को शुरू से ही कंप्युटर सिखा रहे है।

शिक्षा का महत्व हर जगह है। आजकल नेता, राजनीतिज्ञ लोगो को लुभावने वादे करके वोट मांगने है। कुछ जगहों पर तो लोग पैसा लेकर वोट दे देते हैं क्योंकि उन्हें इस बात का ज्ञान ही नहीं है की लोकतंत्र क्या होता है और वोट क्यों दिया जाता है। उन्होंने अगर शिक्षा ली होती तो वे कभी ऐसा नहीं करते।

जीत जाने पर वही नेता आसपास भी दिखाई नही देते है, ना ही कोई विकास का काम करवाते है। सिर्फ चुनाव में वो वोट मांगने आते है। ऐसे स्वार्थी नेताओं, राजनीतिज्ञों को हम उनके खिलाफ वोट देकर उनको बाहर का रास्ता दिखा सकते है, पर उसके लिए जनता का शिक्षित होना बहुत जरूरी है।

आजकल हर चुनावी साल में चुनाव के दौरान धांधली का आरोप भी लग रहा है। भ्रष्ट नेता बेईमानी और धांधली करके चुनाव जीत जाते है। हर वोटर को शिक्षित होकर ऐसी पार्टी के खिलाफ वोट करना चाहिये। आजकल हर वोटर को बहुत सावधान रहने की जरूरत है।

आज के समय में जो व्यक्ति शिक्षित नही है, समझ लो की उसने बड़ा अपराध किया है क्योंकि पढ़ाई ना करके उसने अपने साथ-साथ समाज और देश के साथ भी अन्याय किया है। इसलिए कहता हूँ दोस्तों कि बच्चे से लेकर बड़ों, महिलाओं और बूढे सभी को पढ़ना चाहिये। शिक्षा पाने के बाद ही हमारे अंदर आत्मविश्वास पैदा होता है।

हम कुछ नया आविष्कार कर सकते है, कोई नही व्यवस्था और योजना बना सकते है और दूसरे के भले के लिए किसी नई तकनीकी के माध्यम से नए आविष्कार कर सकते है। इसलिए सभी को पढ़ना चाहिये। पढ़- लिख कर हम सभी अपने बच्चों को अच्छी शिक्षा और अच्छे संस्कार दे सकते है। अब तो कदम-कदम पर शिक्षा की जरूरत होती है।

यदि ATM से पैसा निकालना है तो भी व्यक्ति को हिंदी, अंग्रेजी भाषा का ज्ञान होना चाहिये। आये दिन अखबारों में ठग और बदमाशो के बारे में ख़बरे छपती रहती है जो भोले-भाले अनपढ़ लोगो का कार्ड पिन चोरी करके उनका पैसा निकाल लेते है। इसलिए कहता हूँ की शिक्षा बहुत आवश्यक है।

जो छात्र अच्छी पढ़ाई करते है उनको सरकारी पदों पर अच्छी नौकरी मिल जाती है। उनका जीवन स्तर उच्च हो जाता है। समाज में उनका सम्मान होता है क्योंकि वे देश के लिए कई महान कार्य करते हैं। इसके विपरीत जो छात्र पढने में मन नही लगाते है या किसी भी प्रकार का ज्ञान नहीं लेते हैं वे कभी भी उन्नति के पथ पर नहीं जाते हैं।

अनपढ़ लोगो को कोई भी सरकारी हो या प्राइवेट संस्था नौकरी नही देना चाहती है। अगर नौकरी देती है तो कम वेतन पर अधिक से अधिक काम लिया जाता है। उनका शोषण किया जाता है। इसलिए कहता हूँ हमें मन लगा कर पढ़ाई करना चाहिए ।

शिक्षा के लिए लड़का-लड़की मे भेदभाव करना मूर्खता है। आज ना सिर्फ भारत बल्कि दुनिया के सभी उच्च पदों मे महिलायें काम कर रही है। आज ज़मीन से लेकर अंतरिक्ष तक जा कर कल्पना चावला और सुनीता विलियम्स जैसे महिलाओं ने हर जगह महिलाओं की काबिलियत को पुरुषों से बेहतर साबित किया है। शिक्षा ही वह माध्यम है जिससे हम देश मे महिलाओं के साथ हिंसात्मक व्यवहार को रोक सकते हैं और महिला सशक्तिकरण को बढ़ावा दे सकते हैं।

साथ ही देश मे दहेज़ प्रथा जैसे कुप्रथाओं का भी अंत नारी शिक्षा से होगा। सभी बेटियों को ज़रुर पढ़ना चाहिये जिससे कभी वह पति या ससुराल पक्ष को वह बोझ नया लगे। अगर किसी महिला का पति अपनी पत्नी की काबिलियत पर शक करे तो वह नौकरी करके अपने पैरों मे खड़ी हो सकती है।

जिन बेटियों के माता-पिता गरीब है। घर की हालत अच्छी नही है। वो बेटियों पढ़ लिखकर नौकरी करके घर की स्थिति अच्छी बना सकती है। अपने माता-पिता का सहारा बन सकती है। मैंने अपने भाषण में आपको शिक्षा के सभी लाभ और महत्व के बारे में बताया है। आशा है आपको मेरा यह शिक्षा के महत्व पर भाषण (Speech on Importance of Education in Hindi) पसंद आया होगा।

शिक्षा हमें हमारे जीवन का लक्ष्य प्रदान करती है। शिक्षा से व्यक्ति जागरूक बनता है और उन्हें बाजार की जानकारी होती है। भारत एक विशाल देश है, जो जनसंख्या की दृष्टि से दुनिया का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा देश है।

इतने बड़े देश में सभी को शिक्षा प्रदान करना बड़ा ही मुश्किल कार्य है। अभी भी भारत के पिछड़े इलाकों में लोग अशिक्षित है। उन्हें अभी भी अच्छी शिक्षा नहीं मिल पा रही है व कईं लोग देश में गरीबी के कारण अपने बच्चों को शिक्षा प्रदान नहीं करवा पा रहे है और उनसे बाल मजदूरी करवा रहे है।

हमारे देश में अभी भी शिक्षा का स्तर बहुत नीचे है। भारत के कईं इलाकों में अभी भी लड़कियों को लड़कों के मुकाबले शिक्षा प्रदान नहीं की जाती है। एक देश या समाज के विकसित होने में शिक्षा सबसे बड़ी भूमिका निभाती है।

शिक्षा व्यक्ति को समाज में एक अलग पहचान दिलाती है। शिक्षा से व्यक्ति आत्मनिर्भर बनता है। जैसे बिना खुशबू के एक फूल अधूरा होता है, वैसे ही बिना शिक्षा के व्यक्ति भी अधूरा ही होता है।

शिक्षा से व्यक्ति सभ्य बनता है। शिक्षा हमें एक नजरिया प्रदान करती है, जिससे हम सही एवं गलत और अच्छाई एवं बुराई में अंतर कर पाते है। शिक्षा से एक देश मजबूत बनता है और उसकी आर्थिक स्थति भी सुधरती है।

भारत में पहले शिक्षा की स्थति बड़ी ही दयनीय थी, केवल अमीर बच्चे ही शिक्षा प्राप्त कर पाते थे और गरीबों को शिक्षा का अधिकार नहीं दिया जाता था। उनके साथ भेदभाव किया जाता था और ना ही लड़कियों को शिक्षा का अधिकार प्राप्त था।

आज भी हमारा देश पूर्ण रूप से शिक्षित नहीं हुआ है। लेकिन, अब स्थति काफी हद तक सुधर गई है। अब सभी को शिक्षा प्राप्त करने का अधिकार है। इसे हमारे संविधान में जोड़ दिया गया है।

अब गरीब लोग भी शिक्षा प्राप्त कर सकते है। उनके लिए सरकारी विद्यालयों का निर्माण किया गया है, जिससे उन्हें शिक्षा प्राप्त हो सके। लेकिन, अभी भी देश में शिक्षा की स्थिति को और अधिक बेहतर करने की जरूरत है।

बच्चों को नई तकनीक से शिक्षा प्रदान करनी होगी। अब सरकार भी बच्चों की शिक्षा के लिए जागरूक हो गई है। सरकार शिक्षा के लिए विभिन्न नई-नई नीतियाँ बना रही है, जिससे सभी को शिक्षा प्राप्त हो सके।

सरकार लड़कियों की शिक्षा पर भी ध्यान दे रही है। लड़कियों की शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए उन्हें छात्रवृत्ति भी दी जा रही है। इतना कहकर मैं अपने भाषण को समाप्त करने जा रहा हूँ और आशा करता हूँ कि आपको मेरा यह भाषण पसंद आया होगा।

Good morning one and all present here. I am going to express my views through my Speech on Education system in India. Education can make people easy to lead, but difficult to drive. Also, it makes easy to govern, but impossible to enslave. This is true, that without education a man is a shade better than an animal. Thus true education is the drawing out of the mental faculties and it is essential for leading a happy life.

India has a great heritage of knowledge. For many years, knowledge has been flowing throughout.  Many scientists, mathematicians, astronomers, and other professionals have done many kinds of research. They have made many inventions through education. The Indian education system is undoubtedly one of the oldest education systems in the world.

Current Scenario of Education in India

It is a fact that our education system in India is not the best one. Lack of reforms and improvements are making it quite boring and ineffective. Students are not taking much interest in studies. There are many factors that are leading this problem of students’ disinterest in education.

People are blaming this orthodox education system. The image of studies and education has been made so reflective by the system. Education is more exploration than slogging for passing examinations and tests. However, the current system of education appears to be a burden.

Lack of Computer-based Education

The most burdensome aspect of our education system is focusing only on books and paperwork. I just wonder why schools are not making the education system paper-free! Education should be imparted through Computer Assisted techniques in today’s world. All tasks in the education system should be totally computerized.

Improvement in Indian Education System

The schools and teachers must not corrupt the joy-giving pursuit of education by putting unnecessary burdens of unnecessary rules. Teachers must intrigue the students towards the charms of education and learning as well as gaining the knowledge.

Teachers must expose and reveal to the students the thrill involved knowledge imparting process. Classroom learning must be more interesting than a boring experience.

Many policies have been introduced by our government to overcome the drawbacks of our education system. Therefore it is a great beginning. Although, education has come a long way and has still we need to do a lot more in the coming time.

There should be a foolproof system to track students’ commuting to the school. The sensors in the identity cards are capable to send automated SMS to the parents confirming the arrival of their children at the school. Also, teachers must make the learning experience very thrilling at school.

Education is much more charming and intriguing than the temptations of distractions unnecessary. Our education policymakers must look into the problem to make a better system that is more practical and provides hands-on learning to the students.

Thus it is the need of the hour if we have to safeguard our independence. Our country has witnessed how a few thousand Englishmen, had ruled here for over a hundred years. This was due to a lack of a true education system. We should not allow this to happen again, and this is possible only by having a suitable and perfect education system. The true education system would indeed make us master our destiny.

Education is a process of learning or teaching new skills or knowledge. Education is mostly provided in schools and universities. Education is very important for the development of the country. It helps in the economic development of the country. Education can change the life of a person. Former president of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is the best example of how education can change the life of a  person. Education if provided properly can change the perspective of people.

Long Speech on Education System

Good morning to everyone present here. Today I am going to give a small speech on the education system in India. I hope you all learn new things from this speech.

Education is defined as the process of receiving or giving primary knowledge, especially at the school or university level. Education is a significant factor that helps in improving the literacy rate of the country. After Independence, the Indian government has mainly focused on providing education to everyone and for years the government has introduced new plans to improve Indian education.

The Indian education system is mainly divided into four stages namely lower primary for the children between the age of six to ten years, upper primary with children from the age of eleven years to twelve years. High school, in which the children start their school at the age of 13 and end it at 16 and at the age of 17 to 18 they finish their higher secondary school.

The Indian education system is considered to be the oldest among the education systems around the world. In spite of being the oldest, it is not the best. Lack of reforms and improvements makes the Indian education system ineffective and annoying.

From the beginning, the Indian education system is designed for a child to learn from the book and write exams just to get good grades. While it helps in improving the children's reading and writing ability, it does not help in learning the skills required to survive in the world.

We often hear on the news that unemployment in India is increasing day by day and in spite of many graduates having fancy degrees, many of them fail to land a job. So what is the reason for that? The answer is our Education system. The Indian education system is designed for students to score marks and get good grades and repeat the process but it was never designed to teach the students the skills required to survive in this world.

The education and the knowledge we receive from reading various books is unmatchable and I totally agree with that. But while the Indian education system provides theoretical knowledge for the students it is very important to also teach the students how to apply that knowledge practically which many students fail and that is the reason why there is an exponential increase in the unemployment rate in India.

It is the responsibility of the teachers to allow the students to think differently. The teachers should also make the student understand that classroom learning is important and should teach them how to practically apply it. In addition to this the teachers should be open to the idea of learning new things from the students.

Our education system could be improved if important steps are taken. Instead of encouraging students to study for the exam, where they only muggup the textbooks just for the sake of scoring well, more practical knowledge should be given to the students. The education authorities should give the students opportunities to apply the knowledge they have learned in the textbooks practically.

Our educational system should also allow the students to learn about the financial knowledge that would help them in surviving in this world. The education authorities should teach students about budgeting money, saving money, and the ways through which the money could be invested in different assets like stocks, gold, silver, etc. This will help the students to prepare for the future.

According to the United Nations Organization(UNO), India ranks 145 out of 191 in the world for providing education. We are not even in the top 50 in the world. This shows the level of improvement we need to do to update ourselves. If we want our country to grow and move forward we have to start by improving the education we provide for the children. As the saying goes “The children of today are the future of tomorrow”, we should start by updating the Indian education system from the primary level. Instead of only allowing the students to learn theoretical knowledge, the educational authorities should introduce practical methods through which children can apply the knowledge they learned through the books.

If by moderating our education system, we can bring a wave of revolution then we have to do it for the sake of a brighter future. Thank you.

Indian education is considered to be the oldest in the world. It has been involved through centuries and has produced many scholars and great achievers. But as the world changes the education system should also change. But sadly this has not been the case with India. Sadly the education system in India has not changed which leaves room for progress.

The Indian education system is all about reading textbooks to score well in exams and get good grades but it does not teach the students how to apply theoretical knowledge. It teaches the students to only muggle the textbooks and score well in the exams, we need to change this. The Indian education system desperately needs to be modernized and if it does not then the students will now grow in life.

The students should be encouraged to learn new things by the teachers. They should teach the students how to apply theoretical knowledge.

Financial education is also not taught to students in schools. The students should be taught the skills that could help them in making money. Education institutes should teach the students the methods in which money could be invested such as stocks, gold, real estate, etc.

To conclude this speech I want to say that the entire education system teaches the students about “what to know” through textbooks for scoring in exams but it does not allow the students to learn about “what and all they should know”. It is very important that the students should be taught about financial education and this can only be done by only modernizing the entire education system.

I just want to know why schools don’t eliminate paper from the educational process! In the modern world, computer-assisted methods should be used to provide education. The entire educational system should be automated for all tasks.

Indian Education System Improvement By imposing unnecessary constraints and rules, schools and instructors risk distorting the joyous pursuit of education. Teachers need to entice students with the allures of education, learning, and acquiring information.

प्रस्तावना:

भारतीय समाज के सही आर्थिक और सामाजिक विकास के लिए नारी शिक्षा बेहद ज़रूरी है। महिला एवं पुरुष दोनों ही एक सिक्के के दो पहलू हैं।

जिस तरह से साइकिल का संतुलन दोनों पहियों पर निर्भर होता है उसी तरीके से समाज का विकास भी पुरुष और महिला के कन्धों पर आश्रित है। दोनों ही देश को नई ऊँचाईयों तक ले जाने की क्षमता रखते हैं इसलिए दोनों को ही बराबर की शिक्षा का हक़ मिलना जरुरी है। अगर इन दोनों में से किसी भी एक की शिक्षा का स्तर गिरा तो समाज की प्रगति होना नामुमकिन है।

भारत में महिला सुरक्षा के लाभ:

भारत की उन्नति के लिए महिलाओं का शिक्षित होना बहुत जरुरी है क्योंकि अपने बच्चों की पहली शिक्षक माँ ही होती है जो उन्हें जीवन की अच्छाईयों और बुराइयों से अवगत कराती है। अगर नारी शिक्षा को नजरंदाज़ किया गया तो देश के भविष्य के लिए यह किसी खतरे से कम नहीं होगा। एक अनपढ़ महिला में वो काबिलियत नहीं होती जिससे वह अपने परिवार, बच्चों का सही ख्याल रख सके।

इस कारण आने वाली पीढ़ी कमज़ोर हो जाएगी। हम महिला साक्षरता के सारे लाभ की गिनती तो नहीं कर सकते पर इतना जरुर कह सकते है की एक शिक्षित महिला अपने परिवार और बच्चों की जिम्मेदारी को अच्छे से निभा सकती है, उन्हें अच्छे बुरे का ज्ञान दे सकती है, सामाजिक तथा आर्थिक कार्य करके देश की प्रगति में अपना योगदान दे सकती है।

एक पुरुष को शिक्षित करके हम सिर्फ एक ही व्यक्ति तक शिक्षा पहुँचा पाएंगे पर एक महिला को शिक्षित करके हम पूरे देश तक शिक्षा को पहुँचा पाएंगे। महिला साक्षरता की कमी देश को कमज़ोर बनाती है। इसलिए यह बहुत जरुरी है कि महिलाओं को उनकी शिक्षा का हक़ दिया जाए और उन्हें किसी भी तरह से पुरुषों से कम न समझा जाए।

आज के समय में भारत महिला साक्षरता के मामले में लगातार प्रगति कर रहा है। हिंदुस्तान के इतिहास में भी बहादुर महिलाओं जिक्र किया गया है। मीराबाई, दुर्गावती, अहिल्याबाई, लक्ष्मीबाई जैसी कुछ मशहूर महिलाओं के साथ-साथ वेदों के समय की महिला दर्शनशास्त्री गार्गी, विस्वबरा, मैत्रयी आदि का भी उदाहरण इतिहास का पन्नो में दर्ज है। ये सब महिलाएं प्रेरणा का स्रोत थी। समाज और देश के लिए दिए गये उनके योगदान को हम कभी नहीं भूल सकते।

भारत में महिला साक्षरता नए ज़माने की अहम जरुरत है। महिलाओं के शिक्षित हुए बिना हम देश के उज्जवल भविष्य की कल्पना भी नहीं कर सकते। परिवार, समाज और देश की उन्नति में महिलाओं की भूमिका  बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। भारत के लोकतंत्र को सफल बनाने का एकमात्र रास्ता यहीं है की महिलाओं तथा पुरुषों को शिक्षा हासिल करने के लिए बराबरी का हक़ दिया जाए। शिक्षित महिलाएं ही देश, समाज और परिवार में खुशहाली ला सकती है। यह कथन बिलकुल सत्य है की एक आदमी सिर्फ एक व्यक्ति को ही शिक्षित कर सकता पर एक महिला पूरे समाज को शिक्षित कर सकती है जिससे पूरे देश को शिक्षित किया जा सकता है।

आज महिला शिक्षा के महत्व को पहचानना बहुत आवश्यक है क्योंकि वे अपने बच्चो की पहली शिक्षक है जो आगे जाकर देश के निर्माण को एक नई पहचान देंगे। किसी भी बच्चे का भविष्य उसकी माँ द्वारा दिए प्यार और परवरिश पर निर्भर करता है जो एक महिला ही कर सकती है। हर बच्चा अपनी ज़िन्दगी की पहली सीख अपनी माँ से ही हासिल करता है। इसलिए माँ का शिक्षित होना बेहद जरुरी है जिससे वह अपने बच्चे में वे गुण डाल सके जो उसके जीवन को सही दिशा दे सके। शिक्षित महिलाएं सिर्फ अपने बच्चे ही नहीं बल्कि उनके आसपास और कई लोगों की जिंदगी को बदल सकती है जो देश को विकसित करने में महत्वपूर्ण किरदार अदा कर सकते है।

एक महिला अपने जीवन में माँ, बेटी, बहन, पत्नी जैसे कई रिश्तों को निभाती है। किसी भी रिश्ते में बंधने से पहले वह महिला देश की आजाद नागरिक है तथा वह उन सब अधिकारों की हक़दार है जो पुरुषों को मिले हुए हैं। उन्हें अपनी इच्छा अनुसार शिक्षा ग्रहण करने का हक़ है जिससे वे अपने मनपसंद क्षेत्र में कार्य कर सके। महिलाओं को अपने पैरों पर खड़ा करने तथा आत्मनिर्भर बनाने में शिक्षा सहायता करती है। शिक्षा न सिर्फ महिलाओं का समाज में स्तर ऊँचा करती है बल्कि महिलाओं के प्रति समाज की उस संकीर्ण सोच, जिसमे उन्हें माँ-बाप पर बोझ की तरह देखा जाता था, को भी खत्म करती है।

शिक्षा महिलाओं को पुरुषों की भांति समाज और देश को प्रगति के पथ पर ले जाने के कर्तव्य से भी अवगत कराती है।

पौराणिक युग से लेकर आजादी के बाद के समय तक महिला साक्षरता को लेकर किये गये प्रयासों में बहुत प्रगति हुई है। हालाँकि अभी यह कार्य संतुष्टि के स्तर तक नहीं पहुँचा है। अभी भी इस दिशा में काफी काम करना बाकी है। भारत के विश्व में बाकी देशों से पिछड़ने के पीछे महिला साक्षरता की कमी का ही होना है। भारत में महिला साक्षरता को लेकर गंभीरता इसलिए कम है क्योंकि बहुत पहले समाज में महिलाओं पर तरह-तरह की पाबंदियां थोप दी गई थी। इन पाबंदियों का जल्द ही हटाना बेहद जरुरी है। इन प्रतिबंधों को हटाने के लिए हमें महिला शिक्षा को लेकर व्यापक स्तर पर जागरूकता फैलानी होगी और महिलाओं को अपने अधिकारों के प्रति प्रेरित करना होगा जिससे वे आगे आकर समाज और देश को बदलने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका अदा कर सके।

महिला शिक्षा की बेहतरी के लिए निम्नलिखित योजनायें भारत सरकार द्वारा चलाई जा रही है:

• सर्व शिक्षा अभियान
• इंदिरा महिला योजना
• बालिका समृधि योजना
• राष्ट्रीय महिला कोष
• महिला समृधि योजना
• रोज़गार तथा आमदनी हेतु प्रशिक्षण केंद्र
• महिलाओं तथा लड़कियों की प्रगति के लिए विभिन्न कार्यक्रम

भारत में महिला शिक्षा को प्रभावित करने वाले निम्नलिखित कारण है:

• कुपोषण तथा भरपेट खाना न मिलना
• नाबालिग उम्र में यौन उत्पीड़न
• माता–पिता की ख़राब आर्थिक स्थिति
• कई तरह की सामाजिक पाबंदी
• घर में माता-पिता या सास-ससुर का कहना मानने का दबाव
• ऊँची शिक्षा हासिल करने की अनुमति ना होना
• बचपन में संक्रमण रोग से लड़ने की प्रयाप्त शक्ति की कमी

सर्व शिक्षा अभियान क्या है

सर्व शिक्षा अभियान एक राष्ट्रीय योजना है जिसे भारत सरकार द्वारा चलाया जा रहा है। इसका उद्देश्य 8 साल तक 6 से 14 वर्ष के बच्चों को उत्तम शिक्षा देने का है। पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री श्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी द्वारा शुरू की गयी इस योजना का मुख्य लक्ष्य है:

• 2002 तक देश के सभी जिलो में शिक्षा को पहुँचाना।
• 2003 तक सभी बच्चों का स्कूल में दाखिला करवाना।
• 2007 तक सभी बच्चों की न्यूनतम 5 साल की शिक्षा अनिवार्य करना।
• 2010 तक सभी बच्चें अपनी 8 साल की शिक्षा पूरी कर चुके हो इसको सुनिश्चित करना।

शहरी तथा ग्रामीण इलाकों में महिला शिक्षा का स्तर काफी बढ़ा है। हालाँकि ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में महिलाओं के लिए अलग से विशेष योजनायें चलाई गयी है। गावों में महिलाओं को शिक्षित करने के साथ–साथ उनके लिए रोज़गार संबंधी अवसर भी बढ़ाये जाने चाहिए जिससे वे अच्छी आमदनी अर्जित कर अपने परिवार का सही गुज़ारा कर सके।
