MDU Rohtak PhD Admission 2023 : Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) officials are now inviting applications for MDU Rohtak PhD admission 2023 for the academic year 2022-23 until Nov 24. Thus, interested and eligible candidates can apply online in Engineering, Science, Arts, Law, and Pharmaceutical. Meanwhile, the entrance examination will consist of 100 points; the minimum qualifying score is 50 points. 

To be eligible for the PhD admissions, candidates should have a master's/MPhil degree with a minimum 55% aggregate score from a recognized university. However, a 5% relaxation is allowed for candidates from the reserved category. Moreover, candidates who have completed PhD coursework from MDU or have a valid UGC/NET/GATE/CSIR/JRF/ GPAT SLET (Haryana State) score are exempted from taking the entrance exam. Likewise, applicants with DST (INSPIRE), ICMR, ICSSR scores and other relevant fellowship awardees are also exempted.

Eligibility criteria for mdu rohtak phd admission 2023-24.

• A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree program after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor‘s degree program or a 2-year/4-semester master‘s degree program after a 3-year bachelor‘s degree program or qualifications declared equivalent to the master‘s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of the educational institution.
• Provided that a candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor‘s degree program should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
• A relaxation of 5% of 55% marks (2.75%) i.e. from 55% to 52.25% or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/BC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates of the Haryana State only.
• Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. program with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/BC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates of the Haryana State only.

MDU Rohtak PhD Admission 2023-24 Application Process

• Eligible Candidates have to apply online.
• Read information brochure carefully before applying.
• All relevant documents i.e., marksheet of qualifying examination, proof of age and other documents should be uploaded by the candidate along with online application form.
• A Candidate may apply for admission to as many programs as he/she wants. Separate application form for admission to each additional program shall be required to be filled after paying Rs. 200/- (Rs. 50/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana only) per program.

Admission to Ph.D. program shall be made in the following manner:

• Admission of Research Fellowship/Scholarship holders and NET qualified candidates based on an interview.
• Through Entrance Test for seats remaining vacant after admission of research fellowship/Scholarship holders and NET qualified candidates

• UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/GPAT/CEED and similar National level tests eligible for fellowship/Scholarship
• UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/ICAR-NET qualified candidates
• For a single seat, six candidates and for each additional seat subsequently three candidates in the order of merit will be called for interview. If the total number of candidates applied for a single seat is more than six and for two seats is more than nine and so on, then the following short-listing criteria shall be applied.

Criteria for Preparing Merit List:

i) Undergraduate Examination (Weightage: 10 Marks)

ii) Postgraduate Examination (Weightage: 20 Marks)

Shortlisted candidates will be given admission to Ph.D. program based on their performance in the interview by the interview board.

At the time of interview, the candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a duly constituted Committee.

The interview shall also consider the following aspects:

• a. the candidate possesses the competence for the proposed research
• b. the research work can be suitably undertaken at the University
• c. the proposed area of research can contribute to new/additional knowledge.

The interview shall be of 30 Marks (10 marks for domain knowledge, 5 Marks for Research Proposal (Annexure B), 10 marks for research aptitude and 5 marks for research accomplishment). Only the candidate who secures a minimum of 50% marks in the interview is eligible for Ph.D. admission in the order of merit.

MDU PhD Entrance Test Details

FOR ADMISSION AGAINST VACANT Ph.D. SEATS IF ANY

• The seats remaining vacant after the admission of candidates (Research Fellowship/Scholarship holders and NET qualified candidates) in a preferential order mentioned above (Procedure A) if any, then an entrance test will be conducted to fill up the vacant seats. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall be as prescribed for NET by UGC/CSIR/ICAR etc. In case NET examination is not available for any subject, the syllabus for the entrance test will be decided by the concerned University Teaching Department through the Departmental Committee.
• Entrance Test will be of 100 marks and a candidate must secure 50% marks to qualify the same. In case of SC/ST / Differently-abled candidates of Haryana State, a relaxation of 5% of 50 i.e. 2.5% will be allowed. There will be no negative marking.
• For the selection of candidates based on the entrance test a weightage of 70 % for the entrance test and 30 % for the performance in the interview/viva- voce shall be given.
• For a single seat, six candidates and for each additional seat subsequently three candidates in the order of merit will be called for interview.

MDU Rohtak Admission Process

Maharshi Dayanand University offers admission to diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in regular mode. The admission to MDU Rohtak courses is based on entrance test, merit in the national level examination, interview followed by counseling. Maharshi Dayanand University UG admission is done based on merit of the qualifying examination. MDU Rohtak admission to M.B.A programme is based on CMAT scores. MDU Rohtak M.P.Ed admission is offered on the basis of obtained marks in MDU CEE entrance test conducted by Maharshi Dayanand University. Admission to some PG programmes is also based on merit.

Considering you as a general category candidate and if you are even getting the benefit of home state quota still you can get Biotechnology atmost and not more than that.

There are certain factors such as number of candidates appearing in the examination, previous year cutoffs and number of seats available in the college and difficulty level of the paper which determines the current year's cut offs.

I would recommend you to look for other colleges like VITEEE , SRMJEEE, Manipal University or through Josaa Gurughasidas kongri Vishwavidyalaya, GFTIs.

TIA admission entry requirements for the 2024/2025 academic year

Interested in studying at TIA during the 2024/2025 academic year? Well, you should be conversant with various minimum requirements for admission into the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

TIA management has outlined the prerequisites that a candidate must fulfil before applying to join the institution to study various courses. Here are the requirements for joining multiple academic programmes.

Basic Technician Certificate requirements

To apply for TIA online application for certificate you should have at least four (4) passes (grade “D” or above) at the certificate of secondary Education (CSEE) excluding religious subjects OR National Vocational Award LEVEL 2 accompanied with at least two passes at Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education.

Diploma requirements

Here are the requirements for admission for the diploma program:

• Basic Technician Certificate in related programmes accompanied by at least four passes at Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) excluding religious subjects.
• Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSEE) with at least one principal pass and one subsidiary in relevant subjects excluding Religious subjects.
• National Vocational Awards (NVA) level 3 accompanied by at least two passes at Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE), excludes religious subjects

Bachelor degree requirements

Applicants for a bachelor's degree programme should have Form Six qualifications with either:

• Two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points from two subjects where A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E= 1 (For candidates who completed form six before 2014 and from 2016 onwards)
• Two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points from two subjects, A=5, B+=4, B=3, C=2, and D=1 (For candidates who completed form 6 in 2014 and 2015)

Form six applicants applying for Bachelor of Accountancy, Public Sector Accounting and Finance, and Procurement and Logistics Management should have passed mathematics at either O-Level or A-Level. Religious subjects are not considered; or,

Equivalent qualifications include:

• Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6) with at least a GPA of 3.0,
• Average of B grade for Diploma in Teacher Education,
• Upper Second Class for classified non-NTA diplomas,
• A distinction for unclassified diplomas,
• Average of C for full Technician Certificate (FTC) where A=5, B=4, C=3, and D=2.

Furthermore, the above qualifications should be accompanied with at least four O Level passes (Ds and above) or NVA LEVEL II/III with at least two passes at O Level.

Post Graduate Diploma requirements

To get accepted in the TIA postgraduate diploma program, an applicant should have:

• Bachelor or Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Procurement from any reputable institution or Any relevant degree programme OR
• An intermediate stage of CPA/CPSP or NBAA’s CPA or PSPTB’s CPSP
