Context : The appealing features of Cloud computing has attracted the attention of the research and the industry due to the possibility of providing a customizable and resourceful platform to deploy software. There is a myriad of competing providers and available services that can provide organizations the access to computing services without owning the corresponding infrastructure. Goal : Identify the opportunities to migrate to the cloud, the challenges, difficulties and factors that affect the cost-benefit relationship of such adoption. Method : In our previous work, we performed a systematic review to identify the approaches adopted by organizations to migrate to cloud computing and their perception of the cost-benefit of this migration. In this paper, we extended our previous work through a new search in the selected repositories to identify studies published from June 2015 to June 2016. Results : We concluded from the collected data that a significant part of the companies perceived inclination towards the innovative adoption process influenced by technological, organizational and environmental contexts. Conclusion : The results in this systematic literature review can help the development of guidelines to support newcomers companies to adopt and migrate to the cloud, how the cost-benefit relationship can be evaluated as well as the selection of providers.
