This sims 4 custom content website is great because it gets updated every single day!

It’s a website that I personally check when I’m doing research for musthavemod’s posts to make sure that I’m not missing out on any really good cc.

They have easy-to-use categories on the left side of the website. Plus there’s a search tool at the top. So let’s say you’re looking for ‘sims 4 cc hair’ just type it in and you’ll find OVER 2000 pages of sims 4 hairs!

The sims community on Tumblr is still thriving! And the website as a whole is an incredible place to search for sims 4 cc.

To find sims 4 custom content on Tumblr, use the search bar and enter in terms like: sims 4 cc , sims 4 maxis match , sims 4 custom content , s4cc , ts4cc , sims4mm . You’ll find TONS of gorgeous clothes, hairs, skins, and more.

4. The Sims Resource (TSR)

I know that this sims 4 cc website can be a little controversial. It has A LOT of ads that are super annoying while you’re trying to search or download cc.

The website then offers you the option to pay a few bucks a month and have the ads removed.

No matter your opinion, it’s a good place to find sims custom content and it’s been around forever. The majority of the cc is alpha.

So, if you’re looking for sims 4 alpha cc website, this is the best website to find it.

5. Pinterest

Pinterest is a visual search engine which makes it a perfect website for finding sims 4 custom content.

Just like Tumblr, you’ll need to type in search terms like: sims 4 cc , sims 4 cc hair , sims 4 cc clothes , etc.

You can get super specific with these search terms . I’ve even searched things like sims 4 cc long hair with bangs and found exactly what I was looking for!

6. MM OUTFITTERS

This is another sims tumblr blog that frequently posts sims 4 cc finds. One of my favorite features of this website is that you can send in questions about cc and the simmer who runs the blog will reply with specific cc finds.

For example, in this post , the simmer wanted 60’s bombshell hairstyles for their sims decades challenge. MM Outfitters gave them 10 links to sims 4 60’s hairstyles for women. Super helpful if you’re looking for something specific!

7. ModTheSims

A classic sims 4 cc website! I remember searching for sims 2 custom content on modthesims when I was just a kid.

As you probably guessed by the name, it’s primarily a sims 4 mods website, but you can still find lots of cc.

On the right side of the downloads page, there’s a list of categories. You can find things like hair & clothes under the ‘Body Shop’ category and sims 4 furniture and clutter under ‘Buy Mode’.

I really debated on whether or not to include this sims 4 cc website on the list because I don’t use it that often.

I find the website is hard to use and slow. I’ve also heard rumors that cc creator’s creations get uploaded without their permission. Definitely not cool at all.

However, from my knowledge, those are only rumors, and I know a lot of big sims creators ( Clare Siobhan for example) use this website to search for sims 4 cc. So in order to give you as many options as possible, I’ve included it!

A lot of sims 4 cc and mod creators have moved their content over to Patreon. This way they can get paid for their creations by giving early access to those who pay a monthly subscription.

But no worries if you’re only looking for free sims 4 cc! EA requires that after a certain amount of time (20 days I believe) all custom content must be free to the public.

Unfortunately, Patreon doesn’t have an easy way to search for sims cc creators. You’ll need to know the link to their Patreon to find their creations.

10. The Sims Catalog

The Sims Catalog is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. It’s a catalog of sims 4 cc. There’s SO MUCH content on this website. You’ll definitely find yourself spending hours scrolling.

11. Elliandra

Elliandra is a wonderful Sims Youtuber who does a lot of sims 4 cc finds videos. She also has a tumblr blog where she then posts all of her sims 4 cc finds.

It’s a great resource for finding trendy and new sims 4 custom content.

12. Around The Sims 4

Around The Sims has been around so long that it even has a website dedicated to sims 1 custom content ! You know that the cc you’ll find is quality and safe.

The website has an older design making it kind of clunky and hard to navigate. However, if you can be patient with the outdated look, there’s a lot of really great sims 4 cc clutter and cc furniture to download.

13. Llama CC Finds (sssvitlanz)

This is another Tumblr blog that posts sims custom content. On this one, you’ll find not only sims 4 cc, but sims 3 and sims 2.

I like that this website posts a lot of unique sims 4 cc finds . It’s not just sims 4 clothes or hair. Just today on the front page I saw a pose pack, cc gamer setup, and off-the-grid lights. So much variety!

14. The Sims 4 Mod Hub on CurseForge

EA has partnered with Overwolf to bring us an official sims 4 mod hub! Here you can find new content from some of your favorite cc creators like aharris00britney , powluna , and miikocc .

Most sims 4 creators will likely start posting their latest downloads here since CurseForge is releasing a mod manager that will allow you to instantly find and download updates for your mods and cc.

This will be a HUGE help for those of us who keeps lots of mods and cc in our game at once.

Plus, everything is “EA-approved” so you don’t have to worry when searching the site or clicking download links.

It has the added benefit of allowing users to organize custom content into different boards, too — so personal boards for everything from hair to shoes can be compiled to return to later.

The only downside is that, as content is reposted from other sites like Tumblr, users may be sent on wild goose chase following links to content that may no longer exist or be unsupported by its original creator. Some sleuthing may be involved, but Pinterest should be considered for its organizational options alone.

Controversial for its membership options, it's still a valuable resource for those willing to sit through a few adverts to retrieve the content they want. TSR started back in 1999, six months before the first The Sims game was even released, and for many years, it was the number one name in finding any content or information related to the game.

TSR is home to some of the most impressive creators in the community, showcasing everything from CC eyebrows and nails to clothing sets and cars. The site can be overwhelming at first, and some features are locked for non-members, but it soon becomes clear how to navigate the site to get the most out of it.

Unfortunately, the website has the disadvantage of being littered with ads that can sometimes hinder the experience. Nevertheless, it's another important resource and worth a browse when looking for a new CC to spice up a Sim's looks or furnish a good house layout in The Sims 4 , whether a humble abode or a mega-mansion.

The Sims also has a thriving community on YouTube. There are some great Sims 4 YouTubers, also known as SimTubers, who are well worth a follow for those looking for new custom content. If you’re obsessed with finding great custom content as much as I am, chances are you want to know what the best Sims 4 cc websites are – and if they’re safe to download from!

Honestly, some CC websites aren’t very comprehensive, others are confusing, and some are downright oozing with red flags. And for those of us that are new to CC shopping, this can be alarming!

Luckily, I’ve been CC shopping for YEARS, and I’ve tried it all. I’ve gathered up my favorite Sims 4 cc websites that I trust when downloading content. And while I can’t guarantee they’re all 100% safe (seriously, I don’t own nor am I associated with any of them!) but I’ve downloaded a TON of content from them and I’ve never had any problems!

Best Sims 4 CC Websites

1. Editor’s Pick: Patreon

Patreon is by-far my favorite website for Sims 4 custom content .

The content comes DIRECTLY from the creators themselves, and you can touch base with their terms of use before you use anything. It can also be a great place to support creators if you have the extra cash and a few favories that you love.

So, what is Patreon ?

Patreon is a site that allows creators to create “memberships” so their audience can support them for the work they do, even if they don’t have a traditional storefront.

It connects CC creators with CC shoppers. The best thing about this CC site is that the custom contents provided there are typically elegant-looking if not very stylish.

Through this website, CC creators can make money off of their creations from people who subscribe monthly (those people typically get early access to new content).

I have an experience both as a paid user and a free user. Both are good, depending on what you’re looking for.

When you pay for a membership, the creator typically lets you get a certain benefit e.g. you can be the first ones to access a certain CC.

However, if you don’t want to pay anything, you can still get FREE Sims 4 CC from Patreon after the CC is released publicly.

Patreon doesn’t provide a proper search function to look for custom content. So, you need to know the name of the CC creator.

You can type in the creator’s name in the search box.

Or, you can simply go to Google.com and type this query:  “patreon” [your desired CC] .

For example, type this on Google:

You can see some options, right?

Then you can click on it and see if you like it.

2. The Sims Resource (TSR)

One of the most popular websites that serve Sims custom content… but also the most annoying site to be on is The Sims Resource.

No judgement to TSR – we all have to pay the bills – but downloading CC from this site can be a feat. With that in mind, I tend to limit how much I grab from here simply because it can take so long.

The catch is: the site isn’t that bad if you’re willing to pay monthly. Of course, you don’t have to (I don’t) but it is an option if you love using it but HATE the ads.

This website has an IMPRESSIVE AMOUNT of Sims 4 CC that you can download for FREE.

It’s sometimes a bit intimidating to look for a certain CC on this website because there are just so many options to choose from!

Don’t worry, they’ve got categories and filters to help you find something.

So, it’s definitely worth checking out!

3. Pinterest

Technically, Pinterest is a visual search engine where you can type a keyword and get images as the results.

Each image is usually and ideally linked to another website where you can learn more about the item displayed there.

Since it’s a search engine (like Google and Bing) you can basically type ANYTHING on this site, not only Sims 4 – related stuff.

Some of the search results might not be satisfying since some topics do not have enough content creators promoting their content on Pinterest.

However, if you’re looking for Sims 4 CC, chances are you can get so many results! Try it yourself!

Step 1: Go to  pinterest.com

Step 2: Type your desired CC, for example, “sims 4 toddler CC”

Step 3: Click on your favorite image on the search result to get a larger view.

Step 4: Click on the link on the image (usually at the bottom left of the image)

After this step, you should be landed on a new website that talks about something related to the item on the image.

Maybe you’re redirected to a CC blog or somewhere else.

If you finally find what you’re looking for, don’t forget to download the CC!

4. CurseForage

You’ll find that A LOT of creators that used to post their content on The Sims Resource have moved to CurseForage, simply because it’s easier for players to use.

While also free, CurseForage doesn’t make you go through as many windows just to download a piece of Sims 4 cc. Yes, you still have to pick through a few ads – but they seem to be considerably less than those found elsewhere.

CurseForage works similar to TSR, though you can find content for more games than just the Sims 4 on there.

Their search function works fantastically, so whatever you’re looking for I highly just recommend throwing it in the search bar and seeing what comes up. You can get both custom content and mods on here – though not ALL of the ones you want will likely be found on here. Some creators choose to use it, others remain on TSR or even have their own sites.

This is a really great place to start looking for CC if this is your first dive into the world.

5. ModTheSims

As the name suggests, ModTheSims provides Sims mod. But you can also find so many Sims 4 CC here!

Look at the header part of the site and click “SIMS 4”

Then, select “Downloads Home”.

This website connects CC shoppers with CC pages where you can learn more about a certain creation and eventually download it.

9. Around The Sims 4

The actual domain name of this website is aroundthesims3.com but it now has a subdomain dedicated to Sims 4 CC shoppers and the website name is “Around the Sims 4”.

It has some cute content, including a Barbie themed dollhouse. However, you’ll need to download the individual pieces if you’re not a paying member (I’m not, it’s really not a hassle at all).

On  Tumblr , people can build their own “blog”/”microsite”/whatever you call it and publish contents that are publicly available.

One of the most popular communities on Tumblr is The Sims 4 community, where people blog and reblog about Sims 4 CC and download the creation.

If you’re looking for Sims 4 CC on Tumblr, you can try the search bar and type keywords such as “sims 4 cc” or “ ts4cc shoes ” or “ts4cc alpha”.

11. Sims 4 Updates

This site is similar to Sims 4 downloads. They both have a long list of categories you can choose from when you go CC shopping!

Don’t worry, the categories are easy to navigate and once you click on a certain category, you can instantly see the search result on the right side (the main reading area of the website) and you can quickly click on the “Download” button to get redirected to the creator’s site or the website where you can learn more about the CC.

It’s actually pretty hard to decide the very best of them all. However, my favorite CC websites are Patreon, Pinterest, and CurseForage. These sites are all easy to get the hang of and download from, plus they all have really nice content for your game.

How do I get free CC on Sims 4?

Just go to any of the websites above and you can easily find free custom content to download 😊 If you decide to visit Patreon, be sure to choose the CC that has passed the early-access period (which means it has been publicly released so you can download for free).

Final Thoughts: Best Sims 4 CC Websites

There are PLENTY of websites out there where you can download great custom content.

Where possible, I always recommend downloading your cc right from the creators, not only are these files usually the safest – it helps support them directly. That said, there are a few creators who don’t adhere to EAs rules about custom content (which is that it needs to be available for everyone after an “early access” period) – for creators like that, there are a few “secret sites” you can download from.

As a life sim, the options are pretty literally endless for possible styles and décor, and fans are constantly making their own custom content sets to fill in the gaps between official game packs.

You'll find some all-time favorites down below, but if you're in the mood for something new here are some hot new Sims 4 CC packs from great creators as of autumn 2023:

• Sheabuttyr's locs collection - Sheabuttyr has revamped an entire collection of 90 dreadlock styles with tons of variant options, including some very cute bun styles.
• Throwback Collection - This large CC pack by ZWHsims and Daxnger includes a '50s diner set, '80s kitchen, and '90s teen bedroom.
• Felixandre's Chateau shelves - This is actually part of of Felix's very glamorous Chateau collection but it's the bookshelves that finally sold me. I never feel like I have enough choices in the base game and these modular options go from pauper to princely with those library ladders.

EbonixSims has you taken care of with realistic hairstyles for Black women and men and kids too. The women's Kenya braids here are a personal favorite, with the multiple clip swatches on top of the hair color options. JohnnySims' Men's Season

Finding Sims 4 male hair CC can feel impossible, let alone Maxis Match style, let alone as a collection. Johnny's male Sim hairs are consistently great, with modern styles, fun '90s throwbacks, and more. Nightcrawler's hairs

If you need the serotonin that only new shoes can provide, download any of Jius' collections. They have flats, pumps, boots, sneakers, even Crocs. Your Sims are covered for every occasion and location. Jius even has a collection with some men's essentials. You can window shop all the many options on Jius-Sims' blog . 

DarkNighTt's streetwear 

Between casual and classy is another missing category of Sims styles: athleisure and street wear. DarkNighTt has an abundance of super realistic styles involving crop tops, leggings, oversized sweaters, and more. They've also got some high fashion looks, which you can find on their TSR archive . 

Senate's casual punk set

Senate usually angles towards high fashion CC on the Senate Tumblr but this casual set of skirts and dresses was partially inspired by the manga Nana and its punk-adjacent vibe.

Seoulsoul's designer fashion

• Drag your .package files or an unzipped folder with .package files inside into the Sims 4 "Mods" folder.
