HOW TO PREPARE FOR KERALA HIGH COURT ASSISTANT EXAM.

Kerala High court assistant exam is a golden opportunity for all the aspirants who are looking for a good government job. Have you applied for the post? ELIGIBILITY 

Bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks or master’s degree or law degree Awarded or recognized by any of the universities in Kerala. 

NO. OF VACANCIES and CUTOFF 

A total number of 55 vacancies are anticipated. The vacancies reported during the validity period will be filled from the rank list. A candidate should earn at least 45% marks in the written test and 35% marks in the interview session. The cut-off mark is decided by the concerned authority based on the performance of candidates and vacancies.  

SALARY: 

Salary Range is ₹ 39300-83000

MODE OF SELECTION 

The selection process takes place in three steps. The exam is conducted for 2.25 hours and includes an objective test and a descriptive exam.

1. Objective examination – The total mark for the objective exam is100 and each question will have four choices. You can score one mark for every right answer you attempt. while every wrong answer will carry a penalty of ¼ marks from the total marks obtained. You have to finish the entire exam in 75 minutes. 

2. Descriptive exam. – The exam is conducted for an hour and includes 60 marks in total. The descriptive paper of the candidates is evaluated only if they are included in the shortlist for the interview.

3. Interview : Candidates who have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the objective type exam are shortlisted to attend the interview. Only candidates with a minimum 35% mark in the interview will be considered for the final rank list.

4. Candidates have to now fill out the new user registration form by entering details like name, date of birth, contact information, user ID, password, etc.

5. Now, candidates have to enter and verify the OTP for registration and then click on the ‘Register’ button.

6. Login into the dashboard using your user ID and password update the necessary details get OTP  and verify it.

7. Upload the documents like the candidate’s photograph and signature, and add other necessary details.

8. Pay the application fee using the online payment fee.

Kerala High Court Assistant Notification 2024 Application Fees

The candidates belonging to the general category have to pay Rs. 500/- as an application fee while filling out the Kerala High Court Assistant online form. The application will be paid online through a Debit Card/ Credit Card/Net Banking or fee payment challan. Candidates from ST/SC/Unemployed Differently abled candidates with benchmark disabilities are exempted from payment of the application fee.

Kerala High Court Assistant Notification 2024 Selection Process

To be selected for Assistant posts candidates have to undergo 03 stages of the selection process i.e. objective test, descriptive test, and interview. The objective test will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Qualified candidates will be called for the descriptive test followed by an interview exam.

Stage 1: Objective Test: The exam conducting authority,  Kerala High Court will conduct the Objective test for a total of 100 marks to be answered in the OMR Answer sheet. Candidates who are declared qualified in the objective exam will be called to appear for the descriptive exam.

Stage 2: Descriptive Test: C: The Descriptive Test will be held for 60 marks to be written on separate answer sheets. The exam consists of topics from precis, comprehension, and short essays.

Stage 3: Interview: The interview exam will be held for 10 marks. To be included in the ranked list, candidates must score at least 35% in the interview. The final rank list will be prepared by adding the marks obtained in the Objective Test, Descriptive Test, and Interview.

There will be a separate exam pattern for objective tests and descriptive tests, candidates appearing for both tests must completely understand the Kerala High Court Assistant exam pattern and prepare for the examination well to achieve a good score.

The objective test will include 100 questions and will be conducted for a total duration of 75 minutes , detailed exam pattern is provided below.

  • Candidates will be rewarded 1 mark for every correct answer in the first stage of the Kerala High Court Assistant Recruitment 2024 selection process.

  • Total Marks – 100 Marks
  • Total Time – 5 Minutes for Dictation and 45 Minutes for Transcription
  • 110 words per minute.
  • The passage of 550 words will be dictated in five (5) minutes’ duration.
  • Candidates will get forty five (45) minutes’ duration to transcribe the dictated passage on computers. No extra time will be given for reading the passage.

Stage – III – Main (Descriptive) Examination

  • Total Marks – 20 Marks
  • Minimum passing marks for General Category candidates will be 10 Marks and for Reserved Category (including PwD) candidates will be 09 Marks.

Stage – I English Typing Test

Delhi High Court Group B Previous Papers – Overview

Selection process for dhc spa, jt, sjt vacancies.

The officials of the Delhi High Court (DHC) had announced the selection process through their official notification. The mode of selection for Group B (Senior Judicial Translator, Judicial Translator, Senior Personal Assistant) is given below.

Judicial Translator, Senior Judicial Translator

The final select/ merit list will be prepared by adding the marks secured by the candidate in different stages of the examination, i.e.,  Preliminary Examination (OMR based on Objective type),  Mains (Descriptive) Examination, and  Interview  (25 Marks).

Senior Personal Assistant

Eligible candidates will be required to appear for the Preliminary Examination (OMR-based Objective Type) and  Mains  (Descriptive) Examination,  English Shorthand tests, and  Interview (35 Marks). Only the successful candidates of the Mains (Descriptive) Examination will be called for the next stage of the Examination, i.e., Stage – II (English Shorthand Tests).

Senior Judicial Translator

Well, all the candidates have to know that the Delhi High Court Exam Pattern for the Senior Judicial Translator is given in two stages. So, you all need to make a note of it to move further. Soon after identifying the DHC SPA Test Pattern , it is better to download the given Delhi High Court Senior Judicial Translator Previous Papers at the end to start preparation.

SJT Stage I EP

It is very important for all the test-appearing candidates to know the exact DHC SPA Exam Pattern from this section. Then, you can move and download the Delhi High Court Senior Personal Assistant Previous Papers.

STAGE – I(A) Prelims Examination

  • The Preliminary Examination Will be OMR based on Objective Type.
  • The Preliminary Examination would consist of three (3) parts, i.e., English, General
  • Knowledge (including Current Affairs) and General Intelligence.
  • PART-1:  English Paper – 60 Marks (60 questions of 1 mark each).
  • PART-2:  General Knowledge (including Current Affairs) – 30 Marks (30 questions of 1 mark each).
  • PART-3:  General Intelligence – 30 Marks (30 questions of 1 mark each).
  • The Exam Will Consist of 120 Marks/ Questions.
  • The Time Duration of the Examination Will be 120 Minutes.
  • There would be a 25% negative marking (Le., deduction of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer).

The following shall be the qualifying criteria for the next stage of Examination:

  • General Category: 60 Marks (50% of 120 Marks)
  • Reserved Category: 54 Marks (45% of 120 Marks)
  • The same criteria of 54 Marks (45%) would be applicable for PWD candidates.

STAGE – I(B) – Mains Examination

  • Minimum passing marks for General Category candidates will be 50% (i.e., 50 Marks out of 100 Marks)
  • For Reserved Category (including PWD) candidates will be 45% (i.e., 45 Marks out of 100 Marks).

Important Note

1.  There shall be no rounding off of marks at any stage of the Examination. 2. The final select/ merit list will be prepared by adding the marks secured by the candidate in different stages of the Examination, i.e., Preliminary Examination (OMR-based Objective Type), Main (Descriptive) Examination, EngUsh Shorthand Test, and Interview.
