He did everything he could to provide for his family while working and he never once complained. In this essay, I want to share my experiences with you and tell you all about the man who has been such an important part of my life.

My Father: A True Hero

I would be lying if I say that my father wasn’t always there for me. Growing up, he was the one who always made time for me. He was a true hero, always putting others first. Even when things were tough, he would never let his emotions get the best of him. My father was someone I could always count on and I owe him everything.

My Father’s Influence on My Life

My Father has always been a huge influence in my life. He is the one who taught me how to work hard and make things happen. He is also the one who showed me what it means to be a family man. My Father was always there for me when I needed him, and he has never failed to show me his support. He has also been a great role model for my career path. My Father always believed in me, and he has helped me to achieve my goals both professionally and personally. He is someone who I can always count on, no matter what situation we are in. I would not be where I am today without my Father’s guidance and support.

The Relationship I Had With My Father

Growing up, I had a very close relationship with my father. He was my role model and often acted as the example for how a man should behave. He never hesitated to give me a hug or tell me that he loved me. My father always pushed me to be the best that I could be, and he was always willing to help out whenever I needed it. Though we don’t see each other as much as we would like, I know that the relationship we have is still very strong.

Lessons I Learned From My Father

Growing up, I idolized my father. He was a hard worker and an all around great guy. I loved everything about him, from the way he could fix anything to the stories he would tell me at bedtime. I learned a lot from my dad, some of which I might not have realized at the time. Here are five things that I believe I learned from him: 1.Hard work pays off – My dad is one of the hardest working people I know. Whether it’s fixing cars or building houses, he always finds a way to get the job done. This lesson has definitely stuck with me throughout my life, and it’s helped me achieve some goals that were initially difficult. 2.It’s important to stay positive – One of the biggest lessons my dad taught me was to keep a positive attitude no matter what happened. Even when things were tough, he never gave up on himself or on us. This has really helped me in life – especially during times of trial. 3.Family is important – Another lesson my dad taught me was how important family is. He always put us first and showed us how much he loved us. Even though we weren’t always close growing up, his love for us remains strong to this day. 4.Values are important – One of the most important values my dad instilled in me was honesty and integrity . He never let anyone push him around 5.Judge before Helping anyone- My father always said that everyone doesn’t deserve help and helping the non deserving ones always brings hard luck. So be judgmental before helping anyone.

My Heroism Towards Others

When I was younger, my father always struck me as being a hero. He was always there for me, no matter what. Even when I was a brat, he would always put up with me. And even though he wasn’t there physically, he still managed to be a hero to me in spirit. He always made an effort to be there for me and show his love, even though he wasn’t around physically. I think that it is really important for fathers to be there for their children. Too often, fathers are absent or uninvolved in their children’s lives. But my dad was different. He was there for me whenever I needed him, no matter how bad I behaved. And because of that, I owe him everything. He has been the model father that I have wanted to become and the one that I aspire to be like. Fathers play an incredibly important role in our lives and without them, we would not be who we are today. They are the ones who give us hope and teach us about values and morals. Without them, life would not be worth living

Whatever I have written is not an exaggeration — he is really my hero. He has always been there for me, whether it was lending a listening ear when I needed to talk or offering a helping hand when I needed it most. He has never given up on me and continues to be an incredibly positive force in my life. Even now, as I approach adulthood and start to take on more responsibilities, my dad remains the rock that helps me stay grounded and focused. Without him, I don’t think I would be where I am today. Thank you, Dad – you are the best dad a girl could ask for!

500 Words Essay on My Father Is My Hero

In the vast panorama of human relationships, the bond between a father and his child holds a special place. It is a bond that transcends the mundane, reaching into the realm of the profound. My father, an embodiment of strength, wisdom, and love, is my hero. His life, a testament to resilience and dedication, has been my guiding light, illuminating my path towards growth and self-discovery.

My Father, the Pillar of Strength

My father’s resilience in the face of adversity is awe-inspiring. He grew up in an impoverished family, where every day was a struggle for survival. Yet, instead of succumbing to despair, he used these challenges as stepping stones towards a better future. His unwavering determination and relentless pursuit of his dreams taught me the importance of resilience. He showed me that life’s adversities are not roadblocks but stepping stones towards success.

My Father, the Beacon of Wisdom

My father’s wisdom, gleaned from years of experience and a ceaseless quest for knowledge, has been my compass in the journey of life. He taught me to question, to seek, and to never settle for the ordinary. His wisdom transcends bookish knowledge, delving into the realm of life’s deeper truths. Through his guidance, I learned to appreciate the beauty of questioning, the thrill of discovery, and the joy of learning.

My Father, the Embodiment of Love

Despite his many roles – a provider, a mentor, a protector – my father’s most significant role has been that of a loving parent. His love is not the ostentatious kind, filled with grand gestures and extravagant gifts. Instead, it is a quiet, steady flame that warms and illuminates. His love is seen in his sacrifices, his patience, and his unwavering faith in my potential. It’s a love that empowers, nurtures, and inspires.

My Father, My Hero

A hero is someone who inspires through their actions, someone who leads by example, and someone who makes a difference. My father, with his strength, wisdom, and love, fits this definition perfectly. He is my hero, not because he is infallible, but because he taught me that it is our imperfections that make us human. He is my hero, not because he never fell, but because he always got back up. He is my hero, not because he achieved great things, but because he showed me that the journey is more important than the destination.

In the grand narrative of my life, my father is the hero who continues to inspire and guide me. His life, a symphony of strength, wisdom, and love, resonates within me, shaping my thoughts, my actions, and my dreams. As I navigate the labyrinth of life, I am grateful for the beacon that is my father, my hero.

When you say, “why my dad is my hero,” you are trying to sum up the love, admiration, and respect you have for your fathers. Your dad is your mentor, guide, caregiver, protector, one who has been with you through all thicks and thins. He was a friend, a guide, a philosopher who taught you some of the best lessons of your life.

A father is a magnanimous figure of inspiration, who we all idolize. He is the one who always wants to see you happy no matter what he goes through. Therefore, every dad is a superhero, and he deserves to know how much you adore and value him. Read this post to know some of the most important reasons why we say, “why my dad is my hero.”

15 Reasons Why “My Dad Is My Hero”

  • He works hard to provide the best : Being the family leader, a father works hard for several hours to provide the child with the best, from a comfortable lifestyle to the finest education. No matter what difficulties they encounter, fathers strive to create a bright future for their children.
  • He teaches the importance of hard work : When children show off their new shoes to their friends, little do they realize their fathers’ effort to pay for them. A father wakes up on time every day to be able to reach work without fail. It requires a lot of discipline to be able to work and make a comfortable living. Nothing comes easy in life, and a father is the first to teach this to his children .

Linda Bartlett dwells on the importance of her father in her life and describes how he taught her the value of hard work. She says, “At 93, he continues to be my hero because, as my father, he is still teaching me what it means to be human. In other words, he is teaching me what it means to be a person created in God’s image.

“As a farmer, my dad has shown me the ‘thorns and thistles’ that sin brought into this world. I’ve seen the sweat on his brow, but also heard his sigh of accomplishment at the end of a long, hard day. My dad has shown me that work is neither a punishment nor unpleasant. When done to the glory of God, it is a source of contentment (i) .”

  • He acts strictly for a reason : Fathers as the head of the household, act tough and discipline their little ones to prepare them for the future. Discipline is a way of educating children that certain behaviors are not only unsafe but also unacceptable. Fathers scold or punish their kids to teach them about the consequences of their choices and actions . He may shout and rebuke if the child fails to understand, but he does that to make them tough and smart in life.
  • He goes tough on kids to make them stronger : Fathers are straightforward and say what they have to the child without hesitation. He hopes that his children are strong enough to cope with any situation and all kinds of people they meet. He may criticize or scold their children for things that may seem wrong, but he would also praise them when they do good deeds. The aim is to make them strong enough to face life.
  • He wants his children to learn bravery: Dad brings a sense of security to his kids and gives them the feeling that no one can hurt them when he is around . When little kids sit on a swing for the first time, they feel scared of falling. But seeing their father behind them, they know they will be safe because he is always there to protect them.
  • He can also pamper the children: When mothers become tough and forbid their children from doing something, children tend to turn to their fathers for support, which they undoubtedly get from the doting pop. Dads sneak in behind moms’ back and hand them the last cookie. If he is caught, he will take full responsibility and face the mama’s wrath.
  • He will transform into a cartoon to make his children laugh: A father cannot see his children sad and crying. He will do his best to ease their emotions and make them smile. He won’t mind playing a monkey to make his child laugh uncontrollably.
  • He shows the meaning of endurance: No one can hide pain better than a father who tries to keep his children strong. Fathers try to prove to the children that they are strong and can stand up under any circumstances. Even when fathers are in pain, they smile so that the family does not worry about them. A father hides his pain and puts a brave front for the sake of his kids, who think of him as a hero .
  • He never gives up on his children’s dreams: Constant challenges in life may bog anyone down, and children may lose the confidence to move on. But a dad will never give up on his children and their dreams. He will push them to aim higher and support them to work harder. He will pick them up each time they fall and will always be their support system.
  • He is always willing to help make a choice : Whether attending a party or choosing a dress for attending a graduation ceremony, whenever children are confused about big or small things, they can always rely on their father to help make choices. A father may or may not give the best of opinion, but he will support his children in their decisions.
  • He solves problems for his children: A child may have some trouble with studies or other activities . If their father learns about it, he will directly or indirectly try to help his child solve the problem. If the child is not good at math, the father will brush up on his math and try his best to help. If the child is having trouble understanding a new language, the father will learn the language himself, then simplify the language for the child, or hire private tutoring.
  • He gets his children out of trouble: When children are young, they want to explore many things. Sometimes harmless and sometimes harmful. They get the courage to do it because their papa will get them out of any trouble. Their father will surely get mad at their behavior but will undoubtedly rescue them even from the deepest of problems.
  • He can be a fun company to keep : If daddy senses that his child needs a friend to play with, he will instantly turn into their partner and even have his nails painted for his child’s sake. He will sit with his child for a football game and give some fun commentary to entertain his kids.
  • He protects his children from making mistakes : A father is like a huge supportive rock who protects his family and does not want his kids to make the same mistakes. He would let the children sit down, listen to him and even punish them for not obeying him. No matter what he does, he is there to support and eliminate the hurt and disappointment from the child’s life.
  • He loves them unconditionally : Kids may be inconsiderate of their father’s feelings of selflessness and may even hurt him on several occasions, intentionally or unintentionally. But a father will never hold it against his kids. No matter how many times they are rude or disobedient , he will always love them.

A mother’s love is talked about repeatedly everywhere, in movies, in shows and more. Yet, what we fail to acknowledge is the strength of a father which often goes unnoticed. Father’s a blessing which not many people have in their lives. It would also be wrong to say that every father is the ideal hero for their kids because that is not the case. However, I can vouch for my father without any second thoughts when it comes to being an ideal person.

My Father is Different!

As everyone likes to believe that their father is different, so do I. Nonetheless, this conviction is not merely based on the love I have for him, but also because of his personality. My father owns a business and is quite disciplined in all aspects of life. He is the one who taught me to always practice discipline no matter what work I do.

Most importantly, he has a jovial nature and always makes my mother laugh with his silly antics even after 27 years of marriage. I completely adore this silly side of him when he is with his loved ones. He tries his best to fulfill all our wishes but also maintains the strictness when the need arises.

my super dad essay

One of the best things I love about my father is that he has always kept a very safe and open home environment. For instance, my siblings and I can talk about anything with him without the fear of being scolded or judged. This has helped us not to lie, which I have often noticed with my friends.

In addition, my father has an undying love for animals which makes him very sympathetic towards them. He practices his religion devotedly and is very charitable too. I have never seen my father misbehave with his elders in my entire life which makes me want to be like him even more.

My Father is My Source of Inspiration

I can proudly say that it is my father who has been my source of inspiration from day one. In other words, his perspective and personality together have shaped me as a person. Similarly, he has a great impact on the world as well in his own little ways. He devotes his free time in taking care of stray animals which inspires me to do the same.

My father has taught me the meaning of love in the form of a rose he gifts to my mother daily without fail. This consistency and affection encourage all of us to treat them the same way. All my knowledge of sports and cars, I have derived from my father. It is one of the sole reasons why I aspire to be a cricket player in the future.

To sum it up, I believe that my father has it all what it takes to be called a real-life superhero. The way he manages things professionally and personally leaves me mesmerized every time. No matter how tough the times got, I watched my father become tougher. I certainly aspire to become like my father. If I could just inherit ten percent of what he is, I believe my life will be sorted.

The Life of a Super Dad

Superman flying is an image of a father. He is super to his family.

It takes more than super strength to be a super dad. Strong dads serve their families everyday.

The Life of a Super Dad Can Be Tough

Parenting is tough . Especially when you’re living the life of a super dad and your baby might burst into flames.

Admittedly, this is not a challenge that most of us have. The Parr family—the superpowered clan from Pixar’s Incredibles movies—has its own special set of difficulties. Sure, lots of kids never seem to stop moving. But few can break the sound barrier, like young Dash Parr can. Many an adolescent girl would love to disappear when her father embarrasses her—but Violet can actually up and do it.

And then there’s Jack-Jack, the newest member of the Parr family. He, like many a baby, can be pretty peevish. But when Jack-Jack gets cranky, he doesn’t just cry: He’s liable to destroy a city block or two.

The Challenges for a Real Super Family

And in 2018’s Incredibles 2 , Bob and Helen Parr have a few more challenges to cope with.  Helen wants to be a working mom and Bob has to learn how to live the life of a super dad.

For years, Helen—a.k.a. Elastigirl—stretched herself to the limits for her family. After superheroes were outlawed and while Bob (once known as the super-strong Mr. Incredible) worked as an insurance adjuster, Helen managed the family’s home life and made it look reasonably effortless. But now she’s being asked to be a superhero again—for the good of all superheroes. If all goes well, her own kids can openly use their powers and her husband, Bob, can go back to being Mr. Incredible. However, for now, it means rejoining the work force and leaving the kids in charge of her hulking hubby. Bob has to learn that super dads serve.

“I’ll watch the kids, no problem,” Bob tells her. “Easy.”

‘Course, as every mom knows, there’s nothing easy about being a parent. That’s why, ideally, it takes two.

The Life of a Super Dad Requires Perseverance

Bob struggles when Helen’s away. And even though Mom gets to (literally) flex her abilities in Incredibles 2 , Dad’s the real hero here . Forget supervillains: He’s fighting Dash’s math homework instead. Instead of rescuing boatloads of innocents, he’s trying to rescue Violet’s love life (and failing miserably at it).  And who knew that a kid who can barely walk could be such a problem? Each decision Bob makes seems like the wrong one. The life of a super dad is tougher than Bob thought. Every tactic he tries blows up in his face.

But then he tries again. And maybe that’s the real secret of parenting: In the face of setbacks and failures and—let’s be honest—sometimes ungrateful kids, we keep trying . We get up the next day and give it another go.

My Introduction to the Life of a Super Dad

When I reviewed Incredibles 2 , I thought of my own experience as a “ single dad .”

My wife and I both work outside the home, and for the first several years of our marriage, I had assumed that Wendy and I shared our household duties pretty equally. That assumption was rudely crushed when Wendy came down with a horrific case of the stomach flu several years ago, when our kids were still pretty young.

Wendy was in bed for three days. It felt like three years. Dishes stacked up. The kids’ meals went from nutritious balanced meals to potato chips, Oreos and whatever they could lick off the floor. I realized that I had no idea how to work the washing machine. Like Bob Parr, I was deeply humbled. Incredible? Hardly. I learned that super dads serve.

When Wendy staggered into the kitchen, smiled and asked “what’s for breakfast?”, it felt as though I’d sailed through a hurricane and into calmer, sunny seas. Both the kids and the dog miraculously survived, and we all celebrated that morning with bowls of slightly-stale Cheerios and what little milk we still had in the house.

Parenting is a Heroic Act

Up ‘til that point, I thought I’d been a pretty good dad. And on some level, I had been. But I realized I hadn’t ever led the life of a super dad. I’d not understood how tremendous a mom that Wendy had been—or how much work it took. To her credit, she rarely asked for help. And to my shame, I rarely offered it.

“Done properly, parenting is a heroic act ,” says fashion designer Edna Mode in Incredibles 2 . And she’s right. But as anyone who’s watched any of the Avengers movies—or the Incredibles movies too, for that matter— heroes work better together. And they have to sacrifice for one another, too.

Heroes at Home

“If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

Jesus says this in Mark 9:35. It’s not the last time he exalts servanthood . Take a spin through the New Testament, and you’ll see reference after reference of how blessed it is to serve. How Christlike it is.

Heroes—be they of the superhero variety or everyday heroes—are inherently servants. Sure, they may wear capes or win medals, but that doesn’t make them heroic. They earn the title because of what they give.

But as Edna suggests, the same could be said for fathers. Every day they’re called to sacrifice a bit of themselves for their children. Super dads serve their family members and that is what is truly heroic. They give their time to homework and basketball practice. Fathers shuffle their money to piano teachers and orthodontists. Dads teach and praise and sometimes punish. But at their best, they serve. They give of themselves gladly because they love their children so deeply. And in so doing, they follow the example of Christ, who gave so much for them.

Super Dads Serve

Sometimes, I think, we parents forget to serve each other. And I think we dads can be especially guilty of that. Even as we treasure our children, we lose sight of the priceless jewel that is our spouse. That can be especially true in Christian circles, by the way. The Bible tells us, after all, that we must lead our families. But we forget—all too conveniently sometimes, I believe—that biblical leadership is flipped on its head: We lead by serving—“even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28).”

In Incredibles 2 , Bob shows us that the life of a super dad is a life of service. He gives his time, his effort and his attention to his children . Bob allows his wife the space she needs to do her own important work. We see him stay up all night to learn how to help Jack with his homework. With Edna’s help, he works out how to deal with Jack-Jack. He even makes inroads with Violet, who for much of the movie found her father to be inept and insensitive.

Super Dads Serve...Just as Jesus Did

Late one night, a sleep-deprived Bob confesses his insecurities to Violet. It serves as an apology of sorts. And a promise. And maybe an unintentional plea for patience and understanding.

“I just want to be a good dad,” he says, barely able to keep his eyes open.

“You’re not good,” Violet tells him. “You’re super .”

I can’t think of a greater compliment, can you? Super dads serve just as Jesus did. When whatever money you’ve earned is gone, when whatever trophies or honors you’ve earned at your job have faded or rusted, that simple accolade remains and lives on—paving the way for dads for generations to come.

And when we compare ourselves to Bob “Mr. Incredible” Parr, we have an advantage. After all, our kids don’t spontaneously combust.

My Father My Hero Essay 200 Words

My father is an amazing human being and a great father. I look at him as my hero. He has been a pillar of support for the family. My grandmother often tells us how obedient he was as a child. He always obeyed everything his parents told him and constantly worked towards achieving his academic goals. He was also good in sports. Besides, he was always ready to help his fellow students. He also helped my grandmother with the household chores in his free time. His dedication towards his work and his helpful nature inspires us to become better human beings.

Even today, his nature hasn’t changed a bit. He is appreciated for his hard working nature and has helped his department achieve many a milestones. His boss and other colleagues always praise him for his dedication towards work. He is equally considerate about the household tasks. He helps my mother with the household work. He also helps us with our homework and other assignments. He plays with us whenever he finds time and also takes us out for recreation regularly. Apart from this, he is always ready to extend help to our neighbours and relatives whenever there is any need.

Another quality my father possesses is that he is a believer of holistic living. He takes utmost care of his physical health by eating right, taking proper rest and exercising and teaches us the same. After all, a healthy body breeds a healthy mind.

My Father My Hero Essay 300 Words

My father is my mentor, my hero and my best friend. He has been there for me at every step in life and supported me in all my decisions. He has taught me a lot and continues to shower his words on wisdom.

My Father Believes in Keeping Life Simple

My father believes in leading a simple life. Though he earns well and can afford a luxury car and a big bungalow. However, he still continues to live in a small flat. His needs are minimal and he has taught us the same values. He believes in spending a good amount of his salary to social work. He is a part of a non-profit organization that is dedicated towards providing food and education to the underprivileged children. Every Saturday he visits these children and distributes fruits and other eatables among them.

He also gives free mathematics classes to these students in the charity school run by the organization. Many a times, he also takes us along. He has taught us how to share and care. I and my sister have inculcated this value from him. We also do our bit to light up a smile on the faces of these children. This is true joy for us. No amount of toys, holiday trips and visits to restaurants can render such a joyful feeling.

Just like my father, I also love keeping it simple. I have understood that “needs can be met but greed cannot”. I am not keen on buying new bags, clothes and accessories every now and then. I only buy things when I truly need them. I love accompanying my father to the places he visits for his charity work and wish to join one such non-profit organization as I grow old.

I am proud of my father. He is a noble soul who is dedicated towards helping others. His teachings and values inspire me to become a better human being.

My Father My Hero Essay 400 Words

My father is someone I look up to. He is highly qualified and is extremely dedicated towards his work. His dedication towards the family is as much as it is towards his work and this is one quality about him that I admire the most.

My Father Renders the Best Advice

Whenever I need an advice I know whom to turn to. It is my father. Children are more attached to their mothers and mostly share all their secrets with them. However, in my case it is different. I share all my secrets with my father and go running to him whenever I am confused about anything in life. He has a clear perspective about life and knows exactly how to calm my chaotic thoughts. Whether I have a fight with my friends or am unable to concentrate on studies or am unable to choose which co-curricular activity to go for – I know whom to ask. He knows me extremely well and is also worldly wise and thus gives advice keeping both his experiences and my nature in mind.

My Father – The Backbone of Our Family

My father knows his responsibilities extremely well and never tries to escape from them. He is constantly there for us fulfilling each and every responsibility of our family. He is like the backbone of our family. From fulfilling our financial needs to taking care of the emotional upheavals – he is always there standing strong besides us. I have learned a lot from this attitude of his. He has taught us how we must all take our responsibilities seriously and fulfil them happily. Taking inspiration from him, me and my brother also complete every little task and responsibility assigned to us sincerely. If every member of the family takes his responsibilities seriously then everything will remain well-coordinated. There would be less stress and relationships would be sweeter.

My father is indeed my hero. He has given us good values and brought out the best in us. He is not just my father. He is my best friend and my hero.

My Father My Hero Essay 500 words

We all love our parents but I am lucky that I also draw inspiration from them. I look up to my father as a source of motivation and inspiration. He is my hero in the true sense. I admire his love towards his family, dedication towards work and concern for the environment and people around.

Dedication towards Improving the Environment

My father is a true nature lover. He loves plants and this is the reason why we have turned our terrace into a garden. Earlier, we only had some pots kept at some distance from each other on the terrace but now we have plants all over the place. However, his love for nature is not just limited to gardening at home he is also involved in improving the environment by planting more and more trees and plants in the surrounding areas. He has joined a non-profit organization that works for making the environment clean and green.

He helps the organization to further their mission by joining them every weekend. He and his team choose an area every week and do their best to clear the dried leaves and other waste products from there. They hire a sweeper to help them and do whatever they can on their own. After the cleaning drive, they plant trees and plants at suitable places in that area. Many a times he takes us along for help.

He was also invited to my school to sensitize the students to make the environment clean and green. He gave lecture on the subject to help the students understand the importance of this issue. It was a proud moment for me.

Belief in Woking as a Team

My father believes in working as a team. He does not expect my mother to do all the household tasks and handle the kids all on her own. He helps and supports her at every step. They both work as a team to make our house a better place to live. My father also works with us whenever we require working on some assignment we are not much familiar with. Rather than just giving us instructions and judging our skills from a distance he gets involved in the same to help us learn and understand the task better.

Many of my friends share that their parents give them instructions to do certain tasks and expect them to complete them appropriately. They do not help in the process and even scold them if the task is not done properly. They also have set definition of the tasks that need to be done only by the females in the house and those that the male members should take responsibility for. I am lucky my father does not possess such a mindset. We have learned the art of working as a team from him and this has helped us at various stages in life.

My father’s dedication towards making earth a better place by contributing his bit towards improving the environment as well as his concept of working as a team are certainly two of his best qualities. I have learned a lot from these.

My Father My Hero Essay 600 words

My father is not just my hero but an inspiration for everyone around. Besides being a great father, a good husband and an obedient son, he is a very noble human being. He treats everyone alike and does not distinguish between anyone based on their caste, religion or social status. Everyone in our family, extended family and neighbourhood talks highly about him because of his extremely friendly and helpful nature. People come to him to seek advice as well as for help as they know he has the solution for every problem.

Always Ready to Help Others

Just like the heroes in the Bollywood movies my father is always ready to help everyone around. I still remember the incident when one of my father’s colleagues fell seriously ill my father supported his family wholeheartedly. His colleague’s family was not financially well off. He was the only earning member in the family. His parents and wife were not only financially dependent on him but also did not know how to deal with the hospital formalities and other stuff. My father helped them during their hour of need. He used to spend hours in the hospital helping his colleague’s family with the hospital formalities.

He also arranged money for his colleague’s treatment. He contributed whatever he could and requested his other office colleague’s to contribute for the cause. He served as an inspiration for others. Many of his colleagues came forward to contribute their bit for the treatment. Soon, the funds were met and the treatment was completed. I remember the day when that colleague and his family visited our family after his recovery and thanked my father with all their heart. This incident has left a mark on my heart. I feel proud of my father whenever I think of it.

My father has taught me how we must be ready to help those around us and how a little help from us can make a difference in other people’s life.

Striking Work Life Balance

Another quality of my father that I truly admire is that he is very hard working. He is appreciated for his hard work and dedication at work. He won several awards during his school and college days and this inspires me to work hard and earn appreciation too. Even in his office he has won the employee of the year award, most hardworking team member award and many other accreditation. I have seen him working for hours whenever his work demands. At times, he even works on holidays. However, this does not mean that he ignores his family and gives priority to his work. He knows how to maintain work life balance and we love this thing about him.

Many of my friends share that their fathers are extremely engrossed in their office tasks. They come home late from work and also have to go out with colleagues on the weekends. But I am lucky that my father values his personal relationships as much as his work. He does not take his family for granted. He makes sure he comes home on time and spends time with us. He also takes us out regularly. Besides, he helps my mother with small household tasks to share her load.

My father is very clear about the fact that family comes first. So, even though he is always ready to help others and is extremely dedicated towards his office work he does not ignore us in the event. He in fact, involves us in many of his tasks instead of leaving us behind waiting for him. This helps in two ways. We stay close to him and also learn from his good deeds.

My Dad Is My Hero Essay

My dad is my hero. He’s always been there for me, no matter what. He’s a great father and an even better friend. I can’t imagine my life without him.

When I consider what my hero means to me, I realize that the majority of my favorite memories and sentiments toward him are derived from his small acts on a daily basis. My hero is not a celebrity or someone who is well-known. He has never rescued me from a burning castle or an avalanche, but he does hug me and tell me good day. He doesn’t buy me expensive or gaudy accessories, but he will whisper to me that I am his one-and-only special girl. He’s just a modest guy who lives an ordinary life and which I honor and admire.

My dad is my hero because he has always been there for me. He has never missed a single one of my soccer games, even though I know he would rather be doing just about anything else. When I had chickenpox, he stayed up all night with me to make sure I was comfortable. He has always been interested in everything I do and takes the time to listen to me, even when I know he’s tired. My dad is always willing to help me with anything I need, whether it’s homework or just advice on life.

I can talk to my dad about anything and I know he will give me an honest answer. He has never judged me or made me feel like I am less than because I am not perfect. My dad loves me unconditionally and that is something I cherish. I know that no matter what happens in life, my dad will always be there for me and that is why he is my hero.

My hero is a hard worker. He comes home around 5 p.m. and finishes any paperwork he need to finish for the day, whether it’s anything big or little. At work, he puts his intellect to use on various water-purification topics, but at home, he uses his knowledge of these subjects to help me with my homework or repair household appliances. My hero is also extremely encouraging.

He is always cheering me on at my sporting events and being encouraging. My dad is always willing to give me a helping hand when I need it. He has helped me out many times, whether it was with schoolwork or with personal issues. My dad is also very loving. He expresses his love for me in many different ways. He is always telling me how proud he is of me and how much he loves me. I know that I can always count on my dad to be there for me no matter what. That’s why my dad is my hero.

My hero is always there for me. He has been a wonderful source of encouragement and assistance in my life when I was going through difficulties, especially during my academics when it looked as if everything was going wrong. Finally, he’s really caring. He’ll help you with any issues you’re having, and he’ll always try to find time to spend with you, even if he doesn’t think he can manage it.

This is why my dad is my hero. He’s always there for me when I need him, and he’s always been a great role model.

He has always been supportive, whether it be financially, academically, or emotionally. My dad has also been very instrumental in helping me choose the right path in life. When I was younger, he would sit down with me and talk to me about my interests and what I wanted to do with my life.

He helped me make the decision to pursue a career in information technology, and he has continued to support me throughout my education. My dad is also a great role model. He has always been an honest and hardworking person, and he has instilled those values in me. I aspire to be like him in many ways, and I am grateful to have him as my dad.

My hero is always one hundred and ten percent committed to being a great person. He is there for me whether it’s to encourage me at my sports games or to holler loudly at any workouts or practices I may have.

The purpose is that he would never miss these activities for all the money in the world because he wants to support my endeavors in everything I do. I understand that his presence indicates how much he cares about me and how pleased he is when I try my hardest. When I know he’s rooting for me, I give it my all.

My dad is my best friend and I can always count on him to be there for me, no matter what. I know that he loves me unconditionally and that I am very lucky to have him as my father. He has always been there for me, even when times are tough. I am truly blessed to have him in my life.

There are many special events I have with my hero. We both love playing and watching sports, particularly baseball and hockey. He and I frequently play catch or practice hitting in the backyard alone. When we chat during these beautiful times, we usually discuss what’s going on in our lives and make jokes at each other’s expense. When we talk, it looks like we’re in a different universe.

My super dad, my super hero, ahmed el ilevi demonstrates that you do not need supernatural powers to be a super dad.

  • Available in:

Adana, Turkey - The day begins not in Ahmed’s home but in the emergency room of a public hospital in Adana. This is where we start telling the story of Ahmed El Ilevi.

Emine, Ahmed’s oldest daughter, suffered damage to several organs when a bomb landed in the middle of their living room when they were in Syria. In search of treatment, Ahmed travelled to four different cities and took his daughter to five hospitals within a year. There were times when they were forced to sleep outside, in the front yards of hospitals which were still being bombed. Emine went through three operations on the various parts of her body that had been wounded. And today, exactly one month after her most recent surgery, she is in hospital yet again – this time with a fever and a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.

Süper Babam, Süper Kahramanım

With no one to take care of his four other children, Ahmed had no choice but to take     them from hospital to hospital with him. Now he has to leave Emine in the emergency room alone and head home to prepare a meal for his four year-old son Huseyn, who drives him crazy with his snail-like walk, his five year-old daughter Esra, who is always climbing up doors, six year-old Azra, who is worried about her sister Emine, and the two year-old toddler Hasan, the one who needs the most attention of all.

Emine does not want her father to go home. She is scared of staying at the hospital by herself. She does not speak Turkish and she cannot communicate her needs. When asked, ”What would you like?”, she replies without hesitation,

“I only want my dad to stay with me all the time”.

Emine’s mother lost her life during the bombing of their house, in front of all her children. She was pregnant then. After the tragic death of a mother, the greatest feat a father can accomplish is to be close to his children all the time.

At the entrance of their home, a tiny  rented apartment, the children wait for their father with excitement. Last month Ahmed was unable to pay the rent. He cannot work as he is the only one who can take care of his children; his only income comes from his relatives in Syria.

Süper Babam, Süper Kahramanım

Ahmed has barely time to dice tomatoes and put yoghurt in a bowl. “Since the passing of my wife, I have started to bond with the children much more,” he says. When asked about the hardship they are facing, he replies confidently, “If a father can’t take care of his children, what is he there for?” Although she is not at home right now, neighbour Fatma explains that Emine is “like the mother of the family - no longer a child”. Although only seven years old, Emine has had to take responsibility and assist her father with the household chores.

The other children also help their father by taking care of each other, and especially by looking after the two year-old Hasan.

“The youngest children are the smallest fruit of the tree,” says Ahmed. “You have to give the younger children more attention, but I can never find enough time as I have to do the laundry and the dishes and cook for the whole family. I was the youngest in my family too; I remember the times I used to play in the fields with my father. Now I try to play with my children just as my father did with me.”

“Normally, the father would go to work while the mother stays home to take care of the children,Ahmed adds. “In our culture, children feel closest to their mothers, but that’s not how things worked out with us”.

Süper Babam, Süper Kahramanım

While Ahmed prepares the meal, Huseyn comes over to chat with us. For Huseyn, his father is a super hero. He shows us a picture which he has drawn of his father. “My father can fly,” he says, “He’s flying towards me… He’s flying home… He’s flying and giving out fruit yoghurts to other people… Look, he’s flying again and handing out yoghurt to my friends…” In reality, Ahmed may not be able to fly, but in the eyes of his children he is a super hero.

Rather than marrying again, as others might have done in the same situations, Ahmed chose to remain a single parent. “My children and their health are my priority… I can’t think about anything else unless they are well. We have lost our home, our life. We have been through poverty, and been cast here and there by the wind.” Ahmed wants to be both a mother and a father to his children. He does not want to share this responsibility with anyone else.

“Heroes know how to keep their chins up at the worst of times,” says Ahmed.

“But I’m not a hero; I just did what I had to do. Every father should take loving care of his children.”

What he doesn’t realise is that just “being there” for his children has made him in their eyes even stronger than “Superman”.  The war in Syria has created many super dads and Ahmed El Ilevi is one them. You do not need to have supernatural powers to be a super dad; all you have to do is to “be there” right beside them.

He tries his best to keep our family happy. He works hard to make money for our family. He loves me a lot & always tries to cheer me up whenever I am in a sad mood.

He has always taught me good values & not spoiling me by buying me all the things that I wanted. But at the same time he has gifted me many things that I always wish to have. My Dad has always tried his level best to make me a good human being. I am his only son.

He is very careful regarding what I eat. He always insists me to eat healthy stuff such as fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamins and minerals. He is an extremely loving Dad. I always enjoy spending time with him and learn new things with him. He has taught me to swim.

Till date I have won many swimming championships. My Dad helps me in my studies too. He does not allow me to take tuitions instead he personally sits with me to get my problems solved. It is because of his grace I perform well in studies. My Dad is the most precious gift of God to me. He is a loving father and the most gracious person I have ever seen in my life. He wants me to become a good human being like him. That is why he always teaches me to differentiate between wrong & right.

Every day he takes out little time for me in the night to acknowledge my day to day activities & problems if any. He is my best friend. I can discuss everything with him without any hesitation. Things that I fail to reveal out to my close friends, I can easily discuss them with my Dad.

Whenever I need his help, he is always available for me. He is like a hero to me. He is a funny, cool, adventurous and smart human being. He loves to travel and that is why we both always go to long distant places (sometimes abroad) on vacations. I love to travel too & that is why vacations are always awaited as far as its Dad’s company. Apart from domestic cities till date we have travelled to San Francisco, Beijing, Toronto, New York & Sydney.

Dad says that he started visiting the globe when he was a college student. According to him his experience has helped him to broaden his horizons. This is the reason he started me quite early. He wants me to experience the world because he believes that travelling is an education in itself. When I was at the age of 10 I took my first flight to Sydney. I have learnt a lot of things under my Dad’s guidance which education fails to teach. The most important lesson that Dad has taught me is to be discipline & hard working in life. These 2 things are the key ingredients to achieve success in life.

Today I am just 16 years old & at this tender age Dad has taught me a lot of things that people at the age of 20 fails to understand. He has taught me what life is all about. He has showed me the way to achieve success. He has showed me the opportunities that exist in front of me. But at the same time he has left the decision up to me in terms of which path to choose. He is very confident that his efforts to make me a good human being will never go in vein. Seeing his confidence in me some day I want to make him proud. I thank God everyday for giving me such a loving and caring father. I also wish to see him in good health for the rest of my life.

He was good to bring fruits, sweets and namkeen for me when I was very young. He was good to take me out on trips. During the times we were together, he would tell me good incidents in his life. He would tell me the good and bad, the difference.

He is my Hero since the day I was born. When I was little, the thought I had for him was that there is nothing which is Impossible for him. That was the definition for him. Still it is in so many ways. He taught me to see dreams, bigger ones, and also taught me to make them a reality. I was never less than a son to him. Infact he was very proud of having me and my sisters. My life has been so easy with him around.

Not worldly people, rich, or fancy, he is simple and kind. He inspired me by loving unconditionally every single day, told me a lot of story about life, and I’ve learned a lot from it. Sometimes I made a mistake, he slowly showed me, and try to help me find out what I did wrong.

Inspired by him when I was a kid. Not just my dad, he also my friend who spent his free time just for me. Understand myself more than himself, he inspired me to be forgiving and understanding of people. Wanting to be like him, I worked on improving my temper, learned to control my emotions, and shut down my judge mental attitude that I once had.

In conclusion, eventually things were good. These incidents and many more that came yet did teach me a lot. But I am happy. Happy knowing that he is always there no matter what and he always will be. The one and the only superhero for my life, My Father.

As a daughter, I have always been attached to my father. He is the one who  always protects me from my mother’s scoldings! He showers me with his love and teaches me kindness. And most importantly, he leads me to the safe and  the best path, even though it may be filled with thorns and problems.

He supports my dreams and helps me pursue them. My father has helped me  through whichever problems I have gone through.

Now let me tell you some incidents involving my father and me.

When I was around 2-3 years old, I once got  high fever. My parents were very  worried as it was the first time when I had such high fever. My father never left  my side. My mom told me that I used to blabber something or the other. Each  day and night, he stayed near me trying to make me feel better.

I recall the first time I got lost. We had gone on a trip to Amritsar to see the  Golden temple. After the prayer we had gone to collect prasadam. My father was holding my hand as he moved his hands to collect prasadam, I suddenly went missing!  Finally he found me dancing joyfully at the entrance!

Fathers dedicate their lives to keep their family happy and safe. They are  willing to do anything to protect their family, even betting their own lives. So, I  do not think one day is truly enough for the hard work our fathers have done. Yes, we need to celebrate them through the year
