माझ्याकडे असलेला ज्ञानाचा साठा मी प्रत्येक विद्यार्थाला विषयासंबंधी जास्तीत जास्त माहिती कशी देता येईल यासाठी वापरेल. मी प्रत्येक विद्यार्थाला खूप आत्मत्तेने आणि जीव तोडून शिकवेल आणि विद्यार्त्यामध्ये ढ आणि हुशार असा भेद देखील करणार नाही. कारण बुद्धीने प्राथमिक कुणीच हुशार किंवा ढ नसतो.

प्रत्येक विद्यार्थ्याच्या आयुष्यात शिक्षकाचे फार महत्वाचे स्थान असते. शिक्षकाला विद्यार्थि जीवनाचे शिल्पकार असे म्हटले जाते. कारण शिक्षक जे संस्कार विद्यार्थ्यांना करतात, ते त्यांना आयुष्यभर उपयोगी पडतात.

मला लहानपणापासूनच शिक्षक व्हायला खुप आवडते. मी शाळेत असताना जेंव्हा एखादे नवीन शिक्षक आम्हाला शिकवायला यायचे, तेंव्हा ते प्रत्येक विद्यार्थ्याचा परिचय करून घ्यायचे आणि भविष्यात तुला काय व्हायचे आहे याबद्दल देखील विचारायचे.

त्यावर सर्व विद्यार्थी हसायचे पण त्या विचारणाऱ्या शिक्षकाला मात्र नक्कीच अभिमान वाटायचा. कारण त्यांच्या सारखं होण्यासाठी देखील कुणी तरी इच्छा प्रकट करत आहे. कारण हल्ली मला शिक्षक व्हायचे आहे असे कुणीही मनत नाही.

मला शिक्षक व्हायला आवडण्याच कारणही तसंच आहे. माझे संभाषण कौशल्य (communication skill) फारच उत्तम आहे. मला एखादी गोष्ट इतरांना स्पष्ट करून समजून सांगायला खूपच छान जमते. शिवाय मला इंजिनिअर आणि डॉक्टर यासारख्या नोकऱ्या करण्यात रस देखील नाही.

मी देखील एका खेडेगावात च माझे दहावी पर्यंतचे शिक्षण घेतले आहे. त्यामुळे मला या गोष्टीची जाणीव आहे की खेडेगावातील विद्यार्थांना शाळेत योग्य ते शिक्षण मिळत नाही. शिवाय खेडेगावातील शाळेत सुविधा देखील फार कमी असतात. ना स्कूलबस असते, ना फिल्टरचे पाणी प्यायला त्यांना असते. तसेच खेडेगावत टिवशन ची देखील उपलब्धता नसते.

त्यामुळे जर मी शिक्षक झालो तर मला खेडेगावातील विद्यार्थांना शहरी मुलांना शाळेत ज्या पातळीचे शिक्षण मिळते तेच शिक्षण मी या विद्यार्थाना देणार आहे. खेडेगावातील विद्यार्थी देखील शहरी मुलांशी स्पर्धा करू शकतात, त्यांच्यात पात्रता असते पण त्यांना उच्च पातळीचे शिक्षण खेडेगावात मिळू शकत नाही. म्हणून मी त्यासाठी प्रयत्न करेन.

मी शिक्षक झालो तर विद्यार्थ्यांना शिस्त लावेल, त्यांना चांगल्या सवयी लावेल, त्यांच्यावर चांगले संस्कार करेल. तसेच मी विद्यार्थांना क्वचितच मारेल. कारण मला विद्यार्थांना मारायला अजिबात आवडत नाही.

मी विद्यार्थांना जास्तीत जास्त ज्ञान देण्याचा होईल तेवढा प्रयत्न करेल. त्यांना खूप मन लावून शिकवेल. तसेच विद्यार्थी बोर होऊ नयेत यासाठी मी त्यांना शिकवताना मध्येच जोक किंवा एखादी छोटी गोष्ट देखील सांगेन. जेणेकरून विद्यार्थी बोर देखील होणार नाहीत आणि लक्षदेऊन एकतील.

मी विद्यार्थांना गणित हा विषय शिकवेल. कारण मला गणित हा विषय खुप आवडतो आणि मला तो चांगल्या प्रकारे शिकवता देखील येतो. शिवाय गणितातील मूलभूत संकलपना देखील माझ्या खूप पक्क्या आहेत. त्यामुळे मला वाटते की मी विद्यार्थांना गणित हा विषय शिकवावा.

प्रत्येक शिक्षक आपल्या विद्यार्त्याचे आयुष्य घडवत असतो. तो त्यासाठी खुप मेहनत घेतो. त्यामुळे मला शिक्षक व्हायला नक्कीच आवडेल.

गणिताच्या वडके मॅडम वर्गात केव्हा आल्या ते कळलेच नाही. वर्गातील गोंधळामुळे बाई रागावल्या. त्यांनी तासभर आम्हांला 'शिस्तीने कसे वागावे?' यावर भाषण दिले. त्या तासाला जे प्रकरण त्या शिकवणार होत्या, ते शिकवून झाले, असे त्यांनी जाहीर केले. 

ही आम्हांला दिलेली शिक्षा होती. पण वर्गात गडबड का झाली? हे त्यांनी एकदाही विचारले नाही वा समजून घेण्याचा प्रयत्नच केला नाही. विदयार्थ्यांच्या मनात आपल्या शिक्षकांविषयी खूप आदर असतो. अगदी बालवयात तर मुले एक वेळ आईचे ऐकत नाहीत, पण बाईंचे ऐकत असतात. 

मी शिक्षिका झाले तर प्रथम मी माझ्या विदयार्थ्यांना चांगले समजून घेईन. त्यांच्या आनंदात सहभागी होईन. त्यांच्या अडचणी सोडवण्याचा प्रयत्न करीन. अभ्यास अगदी सोपा करून सांगेन. एकूण काय, तर त्यांना मी हवीहवीशी वाटेन अशीच वागेन.

आम्ही विदयार्थिनी आमच्या शिक्षकांचा मूड बरोबर ओळखतो. आज बाई आनंदी मूडमध्ये आहेत की चिडलेल्या आहेत, हे आम्ही ओळखतो आणि मग एकमेकींना खुणा करतो. मी शिक्षिका झाले, तर मी माझ्या मूडचा वर्गावर परिणाम होऊ देणार नाही.
