Dear Mr. Cline,

I believe I have a lot to offer to the appraiser trainee position for the County of Kern. I have the skills, experience, and passion you are looking for.

I am well-acquainted with working on intricate phone systems. I understand Kern County has over 20 departments that calls may need to be redirected to. At my last job working for Placer County, I was responsible for directing calls to over 40 departments, so I am more than able to rise up to the challenge.

I also have a keen eye for detail that has come in handy on more than one occasion. For example, while working for Placer County, I had to review tax forms that were given to all local businesses. One year, I discovered a significant error that would have resulted in businesses sending in the wrong amount of money. We managed to get it fixed right away and ended up saving everyone a lot of headaches.

Kern County has a lot to benefit from by my employment. If you require any further information about my background, I would be happy to discuss it in person. Thank you for your time.

What to include in a trainee cover letter.

One of the worst things you can do on a cover letter is bring it down with clichés. Try not to talk about yourself the entire time. Instead, talk about how the organization could benefit from your skillset. Do not use too many hackneyed statements such as “think outside the box” or “change-driver.” You should also avoid mentioning how you have references available upon request or how you are the perfect fit for a specific role. Finally, as you can glean for the free trainee cover letter sample provided, get into details that were not mentioned on your resume.

Industry Specific Skills to Include

Tailor each cover letter you send out to the specific job you hope to get. Plenty of skills could be added to the free trainee cover letter sample above to make it even better.

● Communication skills: Whether you are speaking with someone over the phone or in person, trainees need to convey information clearly and succinctly. ● Flexibility: The duties of a trainee can vary from one day to the next. Be willing to switch roles when you are called upon to do so. ● Independence: Trainees will not have someone watching over them all the time, so you need to be productive while on your own. ● Physical strength: Manual labor may need to be performed, so be comfortable with lifting, climbing, and crouching.

Leslie Banks

Atlanta Quality Foods Incorporated

6786 Briarvista Boulevard Northwest

Atlanta, Georgia 30329

Dear Leslie Banks,

My name is Elizabeth Jordan, and I’m writing to express my interest in the open position of lead safety officer at Atlanta Quality Food Incorporated’s Peachtree Corners processing facility. As an experienced safety officer, I’m very interested in bringing my skills and industry knowledge to Atlanta Quality Foods. This position gives me the opportunity to join a leader in sustainable food production and exercise my leadership skills in a rewarding environment.

In my career as a safety officer, I’ve developed the skills and knowledge necessary to keep employees in the food processing industry safe and productive. For the past four years, I’ve worked as a safety officer at Healthy Dairy Company’s processing facility in Birmingham, Alabama. That role allowed me to develop my knowledge of food safety and OSHA regulations. I ensured that floor employees understood safety and sanitation regulations, trained new shift managers in first aid and machinery safety and reduced the rate of compliance violations by 15% in the six months after I started in the role.

In addition to my food production industry experience, I possess strong professional and technical skills and believe I can be successful in the role. I’m a strong communicator and problem-solver, with a positive attitude and a dedication to maintaining safety processes. During emergencies, like power outages and chemical spills, I am calm and empathetic, directing my colleagues to safety and assisting emergency services personnel. Also, I speak fluent Spanish, which can help me communicate with a wide range of employees and vendors.

My skills and experience make me a great fit for this role, and I am excited at the opportunity to use my abilities to ensure the safety and productivity of Atlanta Quality Food’s employees. I have attached my resume and contact information for three professional references to this document. Please contact me if you have any questions about my qualifications. I’m available by phone or email during regular business hours. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Elizabeth Jordan”

Dear Ms Graham,

I have seen your recent advertisement on the Dayjob.com website for a Safety Officer and I wish to apply for this position.

I can come up with innovative ways to continuously improve the safety standards at your company.

As a prospective applicant I feel I have all the qualities you are looking for in a person. In particular I want to point out my in-depth knowledge of safety legislation and its practical application in the workplace. In addition to this you will also be interested in my ability to set the direction for effective H&S management in a company.

Right now I am keen to work for a company like yours that is fully committed to the elimination of unlawful and unfair discrimination and values.
