Essay on A Picnic With Friends For Students and Children

A picnic essay.

A picnic is a great stress buster. It helps to alleviate the stress and anxiety related to studies and other issues in the family. It takes you away from the boring routine of everyday life. It produces a comforting effect and brings beauty to life. Moreover, it provides us with complete opportunities to study the book of Nature as Shakespeare says. “We find sermons in stones, tongues, in trees and books in running brooks”. Picnics, tours and tours are as important as food and drink.

Last Monday, we were granted a special holiday. My friends and I made a programme and set out in the morning for a beach picnic. At 9′O clock, we reached there. In a hut, we unpacked our things. My friends decided to go boating, so we hired a boat to take us to Manora Island. We wanted to fish, so we all started with high hopes, but only a small amount of fish was captured. After having enjoyed ourselves on the shore, we reached the island. We had our fish fried and enjoyed a great lunch. We had tea in the evening and had a nice time before sunset.

We were wading in water. Wave after wave came and passed us, finally splashing on the shore. We rode the horses and camels, too, and it was great and exciting. One of my friends had brought his camera along and we clicked many snaps.

Picnics are a great way to engage with family and friends. Spending quality time with people close to us is a great idea. It is an ideal solution to bond when one does not have the time to go for a long trip or a holiday. Easier to plan and affordable, picnics can be a great way to kill boredom and monotony.

When going on a picnic, it is vital to take necessary precautions. It is mandatory to be aware of the venue and its hazards. Thorough research about the place needs to be done and surveyed before planning. One should also check on the amenities and safety procedures there.

There are many ways for kids to enjoy a picnic with their family. There are many ways to have fun, from outdoor games like lemon and spoon race, football, etc., to indoor games like Bingo, Scrabble, and Monopoly. Singing sessions and impromptu dance duos could also be a good idea.

Kids in classes 1 and 2 often go on a picnic from school, which is a good topic to get them to write creatively. Below is a template for an essay for classes 1 and 2 on school picnic:

  • My class went for a picnic to a flower garden last week.
  • The students of standard 1 went for a picnic with the class teachers.
  • We sang songs during the journey.
  • We ate snacks on the bus.
  • We reached the flower garden, and our teachers took us inside.
  • We toured the garden and saw some beautiful flowers.
  • When it was lunchtime, we laid our mats on the ground and had our lunch.
  • Our teachers made us play games like hide and seek and relay races.
  • We started the journey back to school in the evening.
  • I enjoyed my day with my friends and teachers in the flower garden.

Family picnics are a great time for bonding and spending quality time with our close ones. Here’s a template to help kids write the essay for classes 1 and 2.

  • My family and I went on a picnic to a museum yesterday.
  • My father, mother, brother and I went together, as we wanted to visit a museum.
  • My mother had made a picnic basket with food, snacks and drinks for us to eat at a scenic spot.
  • My brother and I took our football to play together, as the museum also had a garden.
  • Once we reached the museum, we walked around the area.
  • After touring the museum, we went to the garden and lay down our mats.
  • We then ate the delicious food that my mother had packed.
  • Once we finished lunch, my brother and I played football for some time.
  • My mother, father, brother, and I played a few board games.
  • We came back in the evening. We enjoyed our day and decided to go on more such picnics.

Children in the lower primary classes will be expected to write a short paragraph on a picnic for the essay section. An example of a short essay on picnics below could be used as a guide:

Our school organised a picnic for us on Children’s Day. We went to a water park that was full of rides and greenery. We travelled with our friends and teachers. On reaching the water park, we were served hot tomato soup as it was the winter season. We then changed into our swimming dresses to go on the rides. Our teachers joined us too. We spent our time on the rides until lunchtime. We were served hot pizzas, french fries, and juice for lunch. Before we left, we were given a small token from the resort, and we took a group photo together. The picnic was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed spending time with our friends and teachers.

Writing a family essay could be an easy task for kids. But an essay on a picnic with family could be a little difficult. The example below could be a start for writing an essay about a picnic with family:

My family decided to go on a picnic over the long weekend. The farmhouse near the city’s outskirts was chosen as the venue. My mother, father, sister, and I drove to the farmhouse early in the morning with my uncle, aunt and their son. We reached there at 10 in the morning. The farmhouse had a pool, garden and an entertainment room. We spent some time swimming in the pool and then played a few games of cricket in the garden. We then took a short break for some refreshments. We went back to playing football in the garden and played until lunch. For lunch, we ordered a meal from the restaurant next door. We enjoyed the delicious lunch and then went to the entertainment room to relax. We watched a movie and then went to the nearby café for snacks in the evening. After a cup of coffee, we took photos together as a family for memories. We then started back home and reached by evening. It was a memorable day for all of us.

Children in class 3 can articulate better and have more knowledge. However, an essay template could really help them. Below is a picnic essay for class 3 that could help them spark their creativity:

I once went on a picnic at a resort with my school. We took a bus to the resort and, on the way, sang songs along with the teachers. After we reached the resort, we played in the garden and spent time on the rides. We spent time on the rides until lunchtime, and then our teachers took us to the dining hall for lunch. The lunch was delicious, with large portions of dishes. After we finished our lunch, our teachers gathered us in the garden, and we played some games like hopscotch, egg and spoon race, and more. We enjoyed spending time with our friends and teachers until the evening when it was time to leave. We clicked a few group photos and took the bus back home. It was such a wonderful day spent with my friends.

Another picnic that I love is the one with my family. It was a long weekend, and since we did not want to go on a long holiday, we decided to take a day trip to the beach. My father, mother, brother, and I set off early to the beach as the weather was hot and sunny. My mother packed some snacks and drinks to eat on the way. My father decided to drive, and we listened to music as we travelled to the beach. When we reached the beach, we immediately headed to the water and spent time swimming! After a few hours, we tucked into the refreshments that my mother had packed. We then drove back home, and I thoroughly enjoyed my day with my family.

By writing on this topic, a child learns to articulate their thoughts about spending quality time with people. Writing on this topic can be developed by getting children to organise their thoughts.

Essay writing is a vital skill for children to learn right from the primary classes. Reading and writing will help children develop these skills. The above templates will help children know how to structure their essays on a topic like a picnic.

Essay on Picnic With Family:

It was a beautiful sunny day and my family and I decided to have a picnic together. We packed some sandwiches, fruits, snacks, and drinks and headed to the park.

As we reached the park, we found a nice spot under a big tree. The grass was soft and green, and there were colorful flowers all around us. My younger sister couldn’t wait to run around and explore the area. My parents and I set up the picnic mat and started unpacking the food.

We had a variety of sandwiches, from classic ham and cheese to vegetarian options. We also had some fresh fruit salad which my mom had prepared at home. The snacks included chips, pretzels, and cookies, while for drinks we had lemonade and water. As we enjoyed our delicious meal, we chatted and laughed together.

After eating, my dad suggested playing some outdoor games. We played badminton and frisbee, and it was so much fun! My sister and I even had a mini race which she won (she’s really fast!). It was great to see my parents joining in on the fun and letting loose for a while.

We also went for a short walk around the park, admiring the beautiful scenery and taking some family photos.

As the day went on, we enjoyed each other’s company and had a great time bonding. It was refreshing to be away from our daily routines and just enjoy nature and each other’s presence. The weather was perfect, not too hot or cold, and there wasn’t a cloud in sight. It felt like the perfect day for a picnic.

As the sun started to set, we reluctantly packed our things and headed back home. On the way home, we talked about our favorite moments from the picnic and how we should do this more often.

Even though it was just a simple afternoon in the park, it brought us closer as a family and created some wonderful memories. I am grateful for the time we spent together and look forward to our next picnic adventure.

Picnics with family are a great way to disconnect from technology and spend quality time with loved ones. It allows us to enjoy nature, get some fresh air, and simply relax without any distractions. Plus, it is an inexpensive activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

My Favorite Picnic Spot Essay:

A picnic is an outdoor meal where people gather to enjoy each other’s company and delicious food. It is a popular activity during warm weather when people can enjoy the beauty of nature. One of my favorite things to do during weekends or holidays is to go on a picnic with my family and friends.

We have discovered some amazing spots over the years, but there is one in particular that holds a special place in my heart. In this essay, I will share about my favorite picnic spot and why it is so special to me.

The Location

My favorite picnic spot is a small secluded beach located on the outskirts of town. It is surrounded by lush green trees and has a stunning view of the ocean. The sand is soft and white, making it the perfect place for sunbathing or building sandcastles.

What makes this spot even more special is that it is not well-known to tourists, so it remains relatively untouched and peaceful. The only way to access it is by a short hike through the forest, which adds to the sense of adventure and exclusivity.

Apart from enjoying a delicious picnic lunch, there are plenty of activities to do at my favorite spot. We love to go swimming in the crystal-clear water or take a stroll along the shore collecting seashells. There are also some great spots for snorkeling where we can see colorful fish and coral reefs.

If we’re feeling more adventurous, we rent kayaks and explore the nearby coves and caves. No matter what we choose to do, we always have an amazing time surrounded by nature’s beauty.

My favorite picnic spot holds many special memories for me. It is where I first learned to swim, and where my friends and I had our first bonfire. We have celebrated birthdays, graduations, and even weddings at this spot.

Every time we visit, we reminisce about these fond memories and create new ones to add to the collection. The peacefulness of the location also allows us to disconnect from technology and truly connect with each other. It is a place where we can relax, unwind and make unforgettable memories.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, my favorite picnic spot is not just a beautiful location, but it holds sentimental value to me. It is a place where I can escape the hustle and bustle of city life and be surrounded by nature’s tranquility.

The activities available at this spot make every visit unique, and the memories created there will last a lifetime. If you ever get the chance to visit my special spot, I highly recommend taking the time to have a picnic there and experience its magic for yourself.

Trust me; you won’t regret it! So next time you are planning an outdoor activity with your loved ones, consider heading out on a picnic and create some wonderful memories at your own favorite spot. Happy picnicking!

A Picnic Party Essay | a picnic party essay in english for 2nd year | Learning Ki dunya

"Modern age is the age of. In order to get worldly comforts, we have made our lives all the more miserable. We remain busy earning and spending money day in and day out. The more we earn money the more problems we gather around us. We do not have enough time to enjoy the natural beauty that spreads all around us. We do not have time to see green fields, high mountains, streams, starry sky, beautiful songbirds, plants laden with flowers and fruits, and even the smiling face of a beautiful woman. All these delights are pure and life-giving. We can get them without spending a single penny.''

Prof. Ansari was getting emotional when he was explaining to us William Davies' famous poem, 'Leisure'. Kashif stood up and said: 'Sir, You

are very right. Let's decide to go out for a picnic this Sunday and do what you want us to do.' The whole class started clapping agreeing with Kashif. Prof. Ansari had left no choice but cast his vote in favor of Kashif. It was decided that Kahsif along with his two friends would make all arrangements. After a brief discussion, all agreed that the picnic spot would be no other than Changa Manga.

Changa Manga is hardly ten miles away from our city. We all reached there at nine in the morning by bus. Everybody looked fresh but excited. We  were going to have fun at a place that abounds in natural beauty. The sun had risen but as it was the month of March its rays were not that hot. Long,  slender trees, thick bushes with loads of blooming flowers of different hues, the lake, and the whistling of the small train that takes you on the winding railway track through the thick jungle had made the place an enchanting wonderland.

We chose a large eucalyptus tree and placed our luggage under it.

Kashif and his friends had chosen very sensibly everything on the earth that might add to our enjoyment. There were oranges, dates, sweets, bars of  chocolate, flasks of tea, biscuits, juices, and roasted chicken with crusty bread. We did all that we could do. We sang and danced; we ate and drank and played pranks on one another.

Everything was going well when all of a sudden that wonderland turned into a fairyland. A bus came there, and the fairies started getting off it one by  one. These girls were from local girls' colleges. With fast-beating hearts and wide-open eyes, we all started looking at them oblivious of the 'bitter' fact that Prof. Ansari was gazing at us with a frown on his forehead. And then we heard a roar 'Boys!

We all sprang back as if awakened from a sound slumber.'What the hell

are you doing? Haven't you ever seen girls?' he cried. We all stood silent and ashamed. Then Kashif broke the silence: 'But Sir, you told us that Davies wanted every human being to enjoy both the beauty of nature and the beauty

of a woman.' Yes, he did say that,' said the embarrassed Prof. Ansari,' but everything looks good when it is done at its proper time. You are here to enjoy

natural beauty, and you would enjoy the beauty of a woman one day when you will be mature enough to get married. And don't forget that any one of the girls we are looking at with such greedy eyes might be the sister of one of us.'

''We are sorry, Sir,' we all said simultaneously. 'It's all right,' said our kind teacher. 'Let's enjoy our meal'. After the meal, we played different games, sang songs, and told jokes. Everybody was in high spirits. Then came the time to pack up things and go back home. We returned with good memories lingering in our minds and 'beautiful pictures' clinging to our hearts. Please don't ask us whose those pictures were.

A Picnic Party essay: For All Class Student

A Picnic Party essay

A Picnic Essay-1

A Picnic Party essay -Introduction: In olden times people used to lead a nomadic life in an unplanned way. They spent days and nights here and there. They had no permanent dwellings to live in. They ate food cooking here and there. Since then picnic came into the civilized life as an outing for an enjoyment of a menu at a definite venue.

Kinds: Picnic is a diversion. It is of various kinds. One may have a picnic with one’s family. This is an escape from the dreariness of domesticity. The relationship between parents and children, between brothers and sisters too often becomes formal and lifeless. An outing in the open air, away from is so necessary to make of a pleasant surprise. Another kind of picnic is with friends. This is for man common with us. The students, teachers and members of clubs often organize it.

Stages of picnic: A picnic has four stages. The first stage is planning. The second stage is selecting the spot. The third stage is forming of groups and the fourth stage is managing necessary things.

Reasons for picnic: Hence picnic means to have something asking at a definite venue with a pre-planned menu arranged by people. It is a kind of feast taken together by boys and girls, students and teachers, men and women of different classes and ofdifferent tastes. In fact,’ man wants to feel happy, enjoy merriment by avoiding the boredom of life.

He wants to change, novelty, and variety. ile gets tired, feels bored with a routine or monotonous life. Variety and change, as he always thinks, add sugar and spice to life. He wants to rest, relaxation, entertainment, enjoyment and holidays after hard work and busy life. He thinks that life becomes a burden without any chance of refreshing moments.

A picnic with friends or the members of the family is an excellent opportunity to get relief from routine and dullness. A picnic forms an integral part of life with much-needed rest, relaxation and entertainment. After such an enjoyment, a man feels quite refreshed and can devote himself to anything.

Usually, there is a diversion of labor and responsibility. Some bring one thing and other bring something else. In our country, there are many picnic spots. The participants generally choose some places which are historically important or which are regarded as the World Heritage Sites.

Preparation: Before taking a preparation the participants hold a discussion and communicate a date when they will enjoy it. Each participant is to donate or to make subsidy for the purpose. Many a time the participants hire a bus to escort them to the selected picnic spot.

Every participant takes the musical tools, camera, radio, tape-recorder and other things what one has to add something more to the enjoyment. They complete buying necessary things before starting for the venue. There remains nothing untaken, mismanaged, unsought in this regard.

How enjoyed: The participants render their self-services to lessen the pressure of work regarding picnic. After cooking they fall to eating to their heart’s contents. They make funs and jokes, using various types of songs with their respective musical instruments, tell funny tales and legends and make merriments at their own suit will.

The picnic day has a lot of charms in it. They leave not even a single item of enjoyment unenjoyed during the picnic period. Some participants tell bull stories to provide other participants with excellent charms and enjoyment without distinction of age, personality, and status.

It gives the lovers an opportunity to hold an amorous talk with his/her dear one. It presents an ideal example of a nomadic life. It also opens quite a new chapter in every participant’s life. It makes them forget all anxieties and tensions.

Importance: Picnic is not for enjoyment. It has a great importance in life. The participants can collect historical data about the venue where they enjoy the picnic. They can come to know about the background of the place, geographical condition, environmental situation and the life of people around the picnic spot. Picnic plays a significant role in man’s life.

An individual cannot go there individually for want of fund and guide. Many groups of participants arrange picnics. Each group can come closer to other groups and can exchange their views on bilateral, multilateral and international issues. It widens’ their mental horizon and broadens their outlook.

What seems unreal at home, maybe real in the picnic spot. Man can learn the lesson of working together practically. A picnic helps one compose a poem on it or write a verse on it, or write a short story on it. One may feel the poet and literator in oneself. Different talks fun, stories, jokes, and jests may be the elements of writing.

Conclusion: Picnic is a lesson in the art of organization. The leader is to watch whether everything is in order or not. If there is any mistake or a misadventure, it has to be met with humor and laughter. A picnic is not for those who want everything to be tidy and orderly as at home. Only those who are able to accommodate themselves to discomforts and minor lapse can really enjoy a picnic. A picnic costs a little but gives a great pleasure, charm, enjoyment and makes the participants social, cultural and liberal.

A Picnic Essay-2

A Picnic Party essay – The yearly final exam was over. The thought crept into my head that something should be done which will provide an opportunity not only to spend a day but also to enjoy the time. But I did not let the idea die within my heart. I told it out to a number of my friends. They promptly came to a consensus of going on a picnic. We decided about the spot, the time, the contribution of each person, and made all the required arrangements.

The arrangements: We selected the Heron Point of the Shundarbans as the picnic spot. We took sufficient “biriani” parcels and other enjoyable foods. We took with us a two- in one set, a harmonium. a guitar, and a flute. We were eighteen in number-nine boys and nine girls. We hired an engine boat and set out for our journey in a bright sunny morning from the Khulna town.

The arrival at the place : We arrived at the place after six hours of journey. During the long journey, we enjoyed sightseeing. It was really a pleasure to us being able to be in the midst of nature’s beauty and wealth. We, much to our enjoyment and in some cases surprise, watched people bathing in the river. Men and women were seen to be fetching water from the rivers. The landscape on either bank of the river was charming. We seemed to be in a wonderland of beauty. Over and above sight seeing, we enjoyed songs and music on the deck.

On arriving the spot, however, we felt much more charmed and enchanted by the beauty of the jungle. We enjoyed the beauty of the sea-beach very much. Among all other things, what tickled us most were the playful trickeries that the monkeys played with us on some occasions. We also saw, and some of us chased, deer.

I can not help repeating that it was like a wonderland of pleasure, novelty, and emotion.

In this counection it should be mentioned that we had our lunch on the deck of the engine boat, and, consequently, had the afternoon snack at the picnic spot.

The Return Journey: We set out our return journey around I p. m. This time, however, we enjoyed another beauty of the sea and the river. We gossipped and enjoyed the time up to 1 a. m. and then went asleep.

When we woke up early in the morning, shaking our heads to dissipate the dreamy sense that clung to the brain, we found ourselves at the Khulna BIWTA terminal.

Unless you are at a picnic, life is no picnic. – Jane Wagner

My companions and I made a program to go through a day on the bank of the Indus River. We were content with some arrangements. We needed to eat mangoes to our heart fill. On the next Sunday, we arrived at the bank of the stream. The sky was cloudy that day. For set on the life-coats and bounced into the waterway. We felt magnificent in the water. Before long, it started sprinkling. We were extremely blissful. We invested a little energy in the water. We felt hungry, we came out and ate sweet mangoes and different things which we carried with us.

There are few things so pleasant as a picnic eaten in perfect comfort. – W. Somerset Maugham

In the wake of taking some rest, we again bounced into the water. We started swimming, jumping and paddling. We played with a ball. After some time, we felt hungry once more. We came out. A delicious lunch was hanging tight for us. In the wake of eating, we played little games. Presently, we were feeling especially drained. Before long, a while later, we were getting a charge out of sound rest. In the evening, it started to rain. We prepared to return. We got back home in the weighty downpour. This was a superb and memorable day which we can always remember. All things considered, now and then, I recall that day and feel blissful. I miss my companions, too, who were with me on this excursion trip.

A Visit to a Historical Place Essay with Quotations for 2nd Year Students

Historical events, distinct works of genius, wondrous achievements, admirable accomplishments and the cultivation of human art collectively constitute the culture of a nation. Pakistani culture, though replete with all these distinctive dualities, is remarkably exceptional for its brilliant historical heritage. The most startling and spectacular characteristic of our culture is the enviable presentation of the Muslim Architecture. The historical places in Pakistan are a prominent emblem of the Muslim Culture.

Last summer, my friends and I sketched out a programme to visit the historical places of Lahore. As we were to set forth from Multan in the scorching heat of summer, we decided to travel by an air-conditioned bus. We packed our luggage, hurried with hysterical haste to the bus station, got on the Bus eagerly at about 10 am and reached Lahore in the twilight. We rented a well-furnished room in a hotel and after a superbly delicious dinner, we enjoyed a deep sleep. Next dawn, we got up with much gusto. We decided to visit the tomb of Jahangir. Straightaway we were ready to start off. In a hired taxi, we reached the elegant tomb in half an hour. The four magnificent minarets of the tomb presented an exquisite view. A high wall and an elegantly decorated big gate guarded the mausoleum of the great emperor. The tomb occupies the heart of a fragrant park. The park was aromatically studded with colourful buds .and blooming flowers. The flowers “fluttering land dancing in the breeze” presented a spectacular sight. The fruit trees were blossoming. Birds perched on the twigs and boughs were twittering. Impressed by the “soft incense hanging upon the bough” and “many incense-bearing trees” I began to sing the beautiful verses of Keats:

“Ah, happy, happy boughs that cannot shed Your leaves, nor ever bid the spring adieu”

In front of the grand tomb, a lovely fountain was sprinkling its light shower. The drizzling of hoary drops of the fountain was producing the resonance of ultimate excellence.

Soon afterwards, we entered the majestic edifice of Mughal Art containing the sepulchre of the emperor. What a life of luxury and opulence he had enjoyed; but now he was lying desolate and deserted in the sheer calm of infinity.

“Oh, threats of Hell and Hopes of paradise! One thing at least is certain-This Life flies: One thing is certain and the rest is Lies: The flower that once has blown for ever dies”

The walls of the room were adorned with oral and mosaic design. There were curious colourful patterns signifying the mystery of death. We offered “Fateha” and prayed to God to be Merciful and Beneficent to the departed soul. As a whole, the building is a marvellous specimen of Muslim architecture, unique and matchless in its beauty and structure.

We came up to the terrace and had a view of Lahore from there. It was a startling sight. The cool breeze, a canopy of silvery clouds over our heads and the prevailing aroma of the blooming flowers made the panorama charismatic that it had a lasting impact on our memory. We spent the rest of our time in eating the meal, drinking tea and making some of the sketches of the floral designs we had just observed in the vest chamber of the tomb. When the brightness of the day faded into the descending dusk, we hesitatingly headed home. Our minds were full of solemn thoughts, We were pondering over the mystery of death. We all agreed with Shakespeare:

“In Nature’s infinite book of secrecy A little I can read”.

2. Essay on a Visit to a Historical Place with Outline and Quotes for Graduation

  •  We remain busy day and night like a machine.
  • A picnic provides an escape from the monotonous routine of life.
  • The splendid building of “The Jahangir’s Tomb.”
  • The best place for a family picnic.
  • A delicious meal.
  • Amusement and recreation.

What peaceful hours I once enjoyed!

                        How sweet their memory still!

In this modern age, we remain busy day and night like a machine. Our minds are all the time preoccupied with the worries and responsibilities of everyday life. We are unable to understand the need of pleasure in human life. We should realize the fact that life should be enjoyed with all its charms and pleasure. We also spare some time for pleasure and recreation.

What is this life if full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare? (W. Davies)

In this age of hurries and worries, a picnic provides an escape from the monotonous routine of life. Last Sunday, we decided to go on a picnic. We wished to visit some historical places because they are our cultural heritage. So, we chose Jahangir’s Tomb as our picnic point. We reached the tomb in the morning at 10. The weather was very pleasant.

The splendid building of the tomb was very impressive. There was greenery all around. A cool breeze was blowing. Birds were chirping in the trees. There were vast lawns, open spaces and flowers of different colours.

“Flowers always make people better,

Happier and more helpful.” (Luther Burbank)

Jahangir’s Tomb is the best place for a family picnic. There, we enjoyed ourselves very much. Everyone was taking interest in the remarkable structure of the building, matchless beauty of the lawns and historical significance of the Tomb.

At about 2 o’clock, we sat under a shady tree. My mother spread the table cloth on the ground and put our things on it.  Mother had prepared many tasty dishes. We took some meal and had some rest.

Then we played cricket in a grassy park. It was a source of great amusement. My elder brother told some interesting anecdotes. We sang together some national and film songs.

In the evening, we packed our belongings and our way home. Our hearts were saturated. It was a picnic of full enjoyment and recreation.
