HIS Capital
The process
We’ll kick off a project with a 20-minute phone call to discuss your goals, brand identity, and timeline to ensure that your project goes smoothly.
Based on our discussion, I’ll send you a creative direction of 2-3 slides to ensure I’m headed in the right direction. My goal here is to amaze you!
I’ll incorporate your feedback from the creative direction and complete the design of the entire deck. I’ll edit until you’re perfectly happy – usually 1-2 revisions.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a typical project take.
A typical project takes 5-7 days to complete. Faster timelines may be possible. Feel free to reach out to discuss current project estimates.
What if I'm in a BIG hurry?
Other clients’ schedules may shift, leaving availability for rush projects. Please feel free to reach out if you need a project expedited to see if I have availability. Rush fees are 100% of the project cost for a 48-hour turnaround and 50% for 48-96 hour turnarounds.
In what format should I send you my content?
You are welcome to send your content already on slides or in outline format. If you have a specific vision for a particular slide, feel free to include an inspirational graphic or description of your vision to maximize efficiency and reduce turnaround time.
What else do you need from me to get started?
If you have high-resolution version of your logo in PNG, EPS or AI format, please send it, along with any style guides you may have for your brand. If you do not have a style guide, I can follow your website style to ensure consistency of your brand.
What if I don’t have a style guide?
If you do not have a style guide, I can follow your website style to ensure consistency of your brand. If you do not have a website or it does not currently reflect the direction you’d like to go, feel free to send over any other designs or examples you may have or like. Alternatively, I can propose a design that represents your brand.
How does payment work?
At the end of the project, I’ll send you an invoice that you can pay via credit card online.
How do you source photos? Are those an additional charge?
I use Shutterstock to license photography. Technically, those assets are licensed to me so if you are going to use them in the public domain you will need to license them to you or your company. I can provide a collection for quick access to license the images. Shutterstock packages are very reasonably priced at $3 or less per image.
What if I’m not happy with the final product?
We will begin the project with a creative direction, which is 2-3 designed slides, to ensure that I am the right designer for your project and that we efficiently get to a presentation that WOWs. If I am unable to create a design that you like during that process, you will not be charged.
If there are a few slides that need additional revisions at the end of the project, I am happy to provide those to ensure you love the final product.
Will I be able to edit the final presentation?
Absolutely! There may be occasional design elements that are created in Photoshop and imported in, but to the extent possible, all text is added in PowerPoint so that you can easily edit it.
How will we coordinate and communicate during a project?
I can communicate with you in whichever fashion you prefer. Most of my clients prefer email, but I am happy to collaborate with you in Google Drive, Dropbox, Slack or any other platform that is in your workflow.
What if I don’t want my content in your portfolio?
That’s not a problem at all. Just let me know when we start working together and I’ll place a note in your client file to keep your content out of my portfolio.
Additionally, if you would like for me to sign an NDA, I’d be happy to do so.

How do you know what I like when it comes to presentation design?
We start by engaging in detailed discussions during the discovery call to gain insights into your preferences, style, and expectations. We'll ask questions such as: Do you have any specific examples or references that you like? Are there any colours, fonts, or visual styles that resonate with you or align with your brand? Additionally, we welcome any feedback you provide throughout the design process. By maintaining open communication and incorporating your input, we ensure that the final presentation design reflects your preferences and meets your expectations. Our goal is to create a presentation that not only effectively communicates your message but also resonates with your personal taste and style.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, we take client confidentiality seriously. We're more than willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to ensure the protection of your sensitive information and intellectual property. Your trust and privacy are paramount to us, and we'll take all necessary measures to safeguard your data throughout our collaboration.
How secure is my data and content?
Your data and content are completely secure with us. We never share your information with anyone outside of our team without your explicit consent. If we showcase the design in our portfolio, we redact any sensitive text or information to ensure your confidentiality is maintained. Your privacy and trust are of utmost importance to us.
