Key Points to Remember When Writing an Essay on My Country for Classes 1, 2 and 3

10-line essay on β€˜my country’ in english, short essay on my country for classes 1 & 2, long paragraph on my country for class 3, what will your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grader learn from β€˜my country’ essay.

Our country has a rich history, diverse culture, valuable heritage and many unique aspects. Learning about these aspects lays the foundation of patriotism in children. The pride in their country motivates them to be good citizens and think about themselves as part of a larger community. In school, students are asked to write an essay on their country to increase their general knowledge and improve their writing skills. This can be a fairly difficult topic to write about, as students will need lots of guidance on how to weave the facts with their thoughts. Here are some sample essays on β€˜My Country’ for classes 1, 2 and 3.

Writing an essay about their country requires students to balance some facts about the country with their own perspectives. Here are some tips on how to compose an essay on β€˜my country’:

  • For short essays in simple lines, stick to essential facts that define the country.
  • For short paragraph essays, children will have to express their thoughts about different aspects of their country.
  • For long essays on the country, students will be required to memorise important facts about the country, balanced with their perspectives.

A short essay for class 1 and class 2 can include facts about the country, and its important accomplishments. Here is an example for a simple one-line essay on our country:

  • India is my motherland, and I am a proud citizen of my country.
  • India has a large population with diverse people.
  • India is peninsular, forming the southern tip of Asia.
  • My country is vast and beautiful, surrounded by great seas to the south and the tallest mountain peaks to the north.
  • India got its independence from the British in 1947. It is now the largest democracy in the world.
  • India is popular worldwide for farming and agriculture as many different varieties of fruits and vegetables are cultivated here.
  • India has the Taj Mahal, which is one of the wonders of the world.
  • India is a popular tourist destination for people around the world.
  • India has a rich and diverse culture with various cuisines that are loved by people across the globe.
  • Our country is considered a holy land as many spiritual seekers come to find inspiration here.

A short essay in the form of a paragraph on our country can talk about various aspects such as the culture, history, geography or anything else your child wishes to write. Here is an example:

My country, India, is an ancient country with a history that goes back thousands of years. We have a rich cultural heritage which is respected all over the world. India has also made remarkable contributions to science and technology.

India is part of the Asian continent. It is peninsular, surrounded by the Bay of Bengal to the east, the Arabian Sea to the west, and the great Indian Ocean to the south. Towards the north, the country is surrounded by great mountain ranges with the tallest peaks in the world called the Himalayas.

India has a vast and diverse population, making it the second-most populous country and the largest democracy in the world. India has various cultures, traditions, faiths, languages and even cuisines. I am proud of my country’s rich heritage and all its achievements.

To write a long paragraph on β€˜my country’ for class 3, students will have to remember important facts about India. The essay can start with an introductory paragraph on modern India and its ancient roots. It can then go on to talk about various geographical features and cultures. Here is an example:

India is my country. It is a land of diverse cultures, languages, and religions living in unity and harmony. India is also called β€˜Bharat’ or β€˜Hindustan’ in its native languages. The Indian flag is tricoloured with stripes of saffron at the top, white in the middle, and green at the bottom with the Ashoka Chakra in the centre. India is an ancient country with a culture that spans thousands of years.

India is the world’s largest democracy, having the second-largest population. It has 28 states and eight union territories. It is the seventh-largest country by landmass. It is surrounded by the great Himalayas in the North and vast oceans to the South. India shares its borders with neighbouring countries such as China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar.

Historically the name India can be traced back to the river Indus, derived from the word β€˜Sindhu.’ The country’s national animal is the tiger, and the national bird is the peacock.

India is also known as the land of spirituality and philosophy. People from different countries come to India to seek spiritual guidance. Even the practice of Yoga, now globally popular, originated in ancient India.

I am a proud Indian. If we strive for it, we can make India prosper and become a world leader in the future.

Writing an essay on their country encourages children to learn about their motherland and pick up some facts and general knowledge about their heritage. The essay also teaches children how to assimilate these facts and put them together in a coherent written format for their writing assignments. The essay can touch upon various aspects of the country, such as history, geographical and demographic facts, and noteworthy accomplishments. Students can then weave a good narrative around the facts and express their perspectives.

Descriptive Essay: My Country South Africa

South Africa is a country situated on the most southern tip of Africa cradled by the icy Atlantic Ocean on the west and the warm Indian Ocean on the south and east. The southernmost tip jutting out into the ocean is called Cape Aghulhas (Cape of Needles) and separates these two great oceans. To the north are Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe. South Africa encircles the independent kingdoms of Swaziland and Lesotho.

The 11 official languages are Afrikaans, English, Ndebele, Northern Sotho, Sotho, Swazi, Tswana, Tonga, Venda, Xhosa and Zulu. The three most spoken first languages are Zulu (22.7%), Xhosa (16%) and Afrikaans (13.5%). English is the language of commerce and science and is the first language of 9.6% South Africans. There are also semi-official and unofficial languages.

The unofficial languages of the Khoikhoi and San are in grave danger of extinction. They are the aboriginal peoples of South Africa and are physically distinct with an ancient culture founded on hunter-gatherer societies.

The country is made up of nine provinces Western Cape, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, North West, Limpopo, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumulanga and Free State. The main cities are Durban (coastal Kwazulu-Natal), Johannesburg (inland Gauteng), Cape Town (coastal Western Cape) and Pretoria (inland northern Gauteng).

Population and Size

South Africa takes up four percent of Africa’s landmass i.e. 1 221 040 square kilometers making it three times bigger than Texas and five times bigger than Britain. This area is populated by about 52 million people.

Our first peoples were the San and Khoikhoi established for thousands of years before the arrival of the Bantu-speaking tribes who were established hundreds of years before the Europeans. The Europeans were sent by the Dutch East India Company and arrived at the Cape in 1652 to build a fort and start a garden for ships on the eastern trading route. Eventually, this route also brought slaves to the Cape until slaves were freed in 1833.

The Afrikaans speaking Boers, descended mainly from Europeans, trekked north and east to establish the Boer republics of Orange Free State and Transvaal. They did not want to be under British rule. After diamonds were discovered in 1867, and gold in 1876, a war broke out between Boers and British. In 1902, the Boers were defeated and in 1910 South Africa became a Union of 2 British and 2 Boer colonies.

The ANC was founded in 1912 but in 1936 black South Africans were expunged from the voter rolls. In 1950, more than 1 million black South Africans were forced from cities to rural areas and poverty.

In 1961, South Africa became a republic under the white supremacist Nationalists and the country was gradually weakened by internal black opposition and international boycotts. In 1990, this led to de Klerk releasing Mandela from 27 years in prison. In a 1992 referendum, white South Africans voted to support de Klerk’s negotiations and in 1994 the ANC won the first democratic election and Mandela became president on 10 May.

My country has experienced a tragic history but today, all South Africans strive equally for a better future and to maintain democratic values e.g. the country is united in preventing current President Zuma from restricting freedom of speech. Our biggest challenge is reducing poverty but this is possible due to tourism, mineral wealth and Johannesburg being the thriving power-house of business on the African continent.

How to Write an Essay about Your Culture

write essay about our country

Do you need to write an essay about your culture but don’t know where to start? You’ve come to the right place! I’m Constance, and I’ll show you how to write an essay about your culture. I’ll guide you step by step, and we’ll write a sample essay together. Let’s dive in.Β

Writing an essay about your culture includes 5 steps:

Step 1. Plan how many words you want in each paragraph.

When you know the exact number of words you need for an essay, planning the word count for each paragraph will be much easier.Β

For example, a 300-word essay typically consists of five paragraphs and three key elements:

  • The introductory paragraph.
  • Three body paragraphs.
  • The conclusion, or the concluding paragraph.

Here’s a simple way to distribute 300 words across the five paragraphs in your essay:

write essay about our country

You’ll get 300 when you add up these numbers.Β

Step 2. Decide on what your main and supporting points will be.

First, you must take a stand, meaning you must decide on your main point. What do you really want to say about your culture? Whatever you want to say, that becomes your thesis.Β

For example, β€œMy culture is very rich.” That is enough to get started. You’ll get a better idea of how to expand or tweak your thesis after the next step.

Next, divide your topic using the Power of Three to prove the point that your culture is rich using three supporting ideas.

write essay about our country

The Power of Three effectively divides an essay’s main idea into its supporting points. It means your main idea is true because of the three reasons you will provide in the body. So, it is a three-part structure that helps produce your body paragraphs .

Let’s try it for an essay about Filipino culture!

For example, here are three supporting ideas explaining the richness of Filipino culture:

  • The Philippines has incredible food .
  • Traditional Filipino clothing reflects the country’s heritage.
  • Family values in the Philippines are essential.

Great! Now we have everything we need to write an essay about Filipino culture. We’re all set for the next step!

Step 3. Write your introductory paragraph.

Here are the key components of an introductory paragraph you need to remember in writing your essay:

write essay about our country

Our first sentence is the introduction, which should pull our reader into the world we want to portray in our essay.

And the rest of the introductory paragraph is our thesis statement. It includes our main idea and three supporting points.

Example of an introductory paragraph about culture

β€œHaving been colonized for centuries, the Philippines boasts a vast heritage. It has a rich culture characterized by food, clothing, and family values. Filipino culture has delicious food inherited from diverse parts of the world and periods of conquest. Traditional Filipino clothing reflects the country’s history, as well. And Filipinos prize their family values probably above all else.”

Look at how the introductory paragraph goes from a general statement to specific ideas that support our main idea.

Our introductory sentence is a general statement that serves as the opening in our essay. It briefly sets the essay’s context. Next comes the thesis statement β€” our main idea. Finally, we have three supporting ideas for our thesis.

Step 4. Write your essay’s body paragraphs.

Again, a 300-word essay typically has three body paragraphs containing your three supporting ideas. Here’s how to structure a body paragraph:

write essay about our country

Looking back at our word count plan, we know that our body paragraphs should have roughly 70 words each. Remember your word plan as you write.

Body Paragraph 1

β€œThe Philippines boasts a diverse food culture. It reflects indigenous flavors and foreign influences, such as American, Spanish, Indian, and Chinese. Whether it’s a typical or special day, Filipinos love eating these various dishes with rice, a staple. For example, rice goes well with curry, noodles, and adobo. It is also common to see various foods like pizza, pancit, lumpia, paella, (Filipino-style) sweet spaghetti, cakes, and ice cream at parties.”

As you can see, the first sentence in this body paragraph is a topic sentence . It gives context to the paragraph and briefly summarizes it.

The second sentence explains why the Philippine food culture is considered diverse.Β

The remaining sentences illustrate your main point (topic sentence) by providing examples, starting with rice in sentence 3.

Body Paragraph 2

β€œTraditional Filipino clothing reflects Philippine cultural heritage. Although Filipinos now conform to current fashion trends in their everyday lives, the traditional clothing style is often used during celebrations. The traditional fashion sense exhibits influences from indigenous tribes, Chinese immigration waves, the Spaniards, and Americans, portraying the chronology of Philippine historical events. For example, the Philippines’ national costume, the baro’t saya, is an elegant blend of Spanish and Filipino clothing styles. Even some modernized forms of clothing also display other global influences.”

Just like Body Paragraph 1, this paragraph follows the same structure outlined in the diagram. It proceeds from a general statement to more specific points :

  • The topic sentence.
  • An explanation.

Body Paragraph 3

β€œFamily values are vital in the Philippines. The daily lives of most Filipinos revolve around close and extended family, making them known for their family-oriented lifestyle even when they’re overseas. It’s common for children to live with their parents after reaching legal age; some even stay after getting married or obtaining a job. Filipinos also cherish their extended families (aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins) and hanging out or celebrating significant events together.”

Once again, this paragraph follows the body paragraph structure. Now, we’re all set for the final step β€” the conclusion.

Step 5. Write the conclusion.

The easiest way to write a concluding paragraph for your essay on your culture is to restate your main idea and its supporting points using different words. You can even paraphrase your introduction β€” a time-proven method!

Let’s write the conclusion for our essay.

β€œBecause of its history, the Philippines has a rich, diverse culture rooted in a vast heritage. Filipino cuisine is a blend of indigenous and foreign flavors. The nation’s history is reflected in its traditional clothing. And family values display a distinct Filipino trait.”

Note that this conclusion uses different words to restate the points we’ve already made, including those in the body paragraphs.Β

Hope this was helpful. Now go ahead and write an essay about your culture!

4. Why were the British reluctant to lose India?

India was maybe the most important to Britain of the homes in the conglomerate. It was run in a different way from the utmost other corridors of the conglomerate because it had been different from other corridors of the conglomerate. India was largely populated. It had been economically developed. There have been countries with governments that were even as complex as Britain. As a result, Britain couldn't march by and take over. British rule developed through a mixture of military units and alliances with Indian autocrats.

By the 1800s, British rule in India was strong. Still, there were only a bitsy number of British dogfaces and directors in India. Indian civil retainers did the maturity of the day-to-day work that allowed British rule to operate. By the 1800s, there were numerous thousands of middle-class Indians who worked in the administration, who spoke English and who had an English education ( frequently entered in India).Β

5. Is India a good place to live in?

A check reflecting perceptions about 73 countries has thrown up both good and bad news for India. The check says India is among the stylish 25 countries to live in 2020. There are only four other Asian countries; China, Singapore, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates in the list.

India has moved two places up within the check, conducted by the US News and therefore the World Report in association with the Wharton School of the US, over its 2019 ranking. It was ranked 27 last time.

But the check also showed that people don't have a truly good perception about India in the matters of raising children in the country or the status of women also.

In the list of stylish countries to raise children, India stands at 59th position. A disciplinarian nation like Singapore is ranked 22, and indeed countries facing internal strife analogous to Kenya and Egypt are placed above India in the list of stylish countries to raise children.

6. Why did the British give freedom to India?

World War II had a profound effect on the social powers because it completely destroyed their husbandry. Hitler destroyed the husbandry of Britain and France to such an extent that they were no longer suitable to financially maintain their military forces, and were hence unfit to contain the burgeoning freedom movements in their colonies. It's worth noting that Britain was in such bad shape that it entered about one-fourth of the total aid given under the Marshall Plan.Β

Anyhow, Gandhi or any other leader, Britain would have left India in 1947 purely for financial reasons, due to its wholly collapsed economy. After WWII, Britain left not only India but nearly all its other goods, including Jordan in 1946, Palestine in 1947, Sri Lanka in 1948, Myanmar in 1948, Egypt in 1952 and Malaysia in 1957.Β

For the same reason, France also had to grant independence to Laos in 1949 and Cambodia in 1953, and had to leave Vietnam in 1954; the Netherlands also left the ultimate of its colonies called Dutch East Indies, mainly Indonesia in 1949. Had there been no Hitler and no World War II, it most presumably would have taken another 30 or farther times for India and some of the other colonies to achieve independence.Β

Our country, India or Bharat, is a beautiful country whose citizens are called Indians. It has a tri-coloured flag with Ashoka Chakra at its centre. It has many unique features that make it different from the rest of the world. For example, it has the lengthiest constitution in the world with the largest democracy.

Our Country Essay

Also, the Indian Ocean is the only one named after the country's name, i.e. India. Because people of different religions live together harmoniously, India is an excellent example of Unity in Diversity. Here are a few sample essays on β€˜our country’.

100 Words Essay On Our Country

Our country, India, is one of the vast countries in the Asia region, which is rich in culture and traditions. Since the beginning of time, people of different religions have lived here in peace and harmony. They wear various clothes, eat different types of food and celebrate various festivals together. Hence, our country is a unity in diversity.

Besides this, India is located in a beautiful geographical region with the Himalayas in the North, mighty rivers flowing from North to South and Ghats in the South that harbors a wide variety of plants and animals. Hence, from North to South, each state of our country has its geographical and cultural features that make India an unmatched country worldwide.

200 Words Essay On Our Country

Our country, India, is a country which has a unique significance in the world. With people of different races, religions and castes, India is the second most populous country in the world. Thousands of languages are spoken in this single country which is unique.

India has 28 states and 8 union territories, each with its unique culture, cuisines, festivals, geography, tourist places etc. National celebrations commemorate important national founders, personalities, and historical events. Among these are national holidays like Independence Day, Republic Day, Bal Diwas, International Yoga Day, Gandhi Jayanti, and others.

Such celebrations, characterised by intense patriotism, are eagerly participated by all people of India. Then there are the festivals celebrated according to the different seasons enjoyed in the various Indian states. While West Bengal celebrates Durga Pooja, Tamil Nadu celebrates Pongal.

Indians are free to move from one state to another and enjoy the diverse culture and beautiful places. There are several famous historical places and beautiful natural places in our country. Some are dal lake, Nainital, Ellora caves, Tajmahal, Red fort etc.

To protect the endangered tigers in India, it has changed its national animal from Lion to Royal Bengal Tiger. This has helped increase the population of tigers and made India the largest tiger habitat country in the world.

India is a country which is rich in traditions, geographical locations, biodiversity, and religions and has great political significance making it different from the rest of the world.

500 Words Essay On Our Country

Our country is located in South Asia and is the seventh-largest country in the world in terms of area. It is the largest producer of pulses and milk because of the fertile agricultural land and rich dairy animals. It has the wettest place, 'Mawsynram', and the largest riverine island, 'Majuli', in the world. Also, India has the most extensive postal system in the world.

Great Personalities Of India

The country was enchanted by many famous kings such as Ashoka, Chandragupta Maurya, Mughals, Maharana Pratap etc. Besides, our country has many brave personalities who fought against the British to liberate our country. Rani Laxmi Bai, Bhagat Singh, and Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel are to name a few.

Unity In Diversity

Our country has an immense and rich culture due to the presence of people belonging to different religions such as Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Christianity, Buddhism etc. All religions have different cultures and festivals. They wear different clothes such as Saree, Salwar Kameez, Dhoti, Lungi, Sherwani etc. Besides this, many festivals are celebrated in India, such as Holi, Diwali, Onam, Eid, Lohri, Chhath Pooja, Pongal, Ganesh Chaturthi etc.

Besides having differences in culture and religion, all Indians celebrate the festivals together and recognise all religions as equal. Hence, our country is a secular state that does not prefer only one religion but considers all religions the same.

Famous Tourist Spot

India is one of the best tourist destinations in the world. The beautiful scenery of Kashmir, the Taj Mahal of Agra, the Golden Temple of Amritsar, the Beaches of Goa, the Palaces of Bengaluru, the Meenakshi temple of Tamil Nadu, the natural beauty of the northeast region all make India a perfect tourist spot.

Geographical Features Of India

Our country also has distinct geographical features. The Himalayas in the North protect the country from chilled winds coming from Russia. The western ghats on the west coast of India ensure the entry of monsoon winds in India. The rich forests in the northeast region of the country provide crucial oxygen to the world. The rivers such as Ganga, Indus, Yamuna, and Brahmaputra give the necessary water for various activities.

They are also the primary source of soil fertility, making India an agriculture-based country in the world. To the south of India, it is surrounded by the Bay of Bengal in the east and the Arabian sea in the West. Hence, India is a peninsula surrounded by water from all three sides.

A Biodiversity Hotspot

It has incredible biodiversity from the forests of the Himalayan region to the Western and Eastern Ghats of the South. These forests provide essential plant-based products for us and hence, form a vital resource. Many species in these regions are not found in other areas of the world, making India a unique Biodiversity hotspot.

My Visit To Orissa

Though each state is unique in its culture, my visit to Orissa was memorable. I visited the famous Jagannath temple there. The place has religious and spiritual feelings that calm the mind and reduce stress. Also, I went to the famous beach at Puri, known as Puri beach. We enjoyed it a lot with the beautiful waves of water and the cool breeze. The weather was quite pleasing. The people of Orissa have good faith in their culture and traditional beliefs. They are helpful. I remember the famous and tasty Sambhar Dosa and Idli of the region that we used to eat at breakfast. I enjoyed it a lot there.

essay on my country Nepal

Essay on My Country Nepal For Students

If there is a country’s flag that stands out among all other countries it is the flag of Nepal . Our flag is very unique and cannot be compared to other countries’ flags due to its shape. It also has a hidden meaning behind it which represents the country’s peace-loving and friendly nature, bravery, and immortal history.

My country Nepal is situated between two countries, India and China. Although it is sandwiched between international powers, conflicts have not happened between any, and peace remains. Nepal is a country of various castes and cultures. In other words, it is like a beautiful garden of flowers with people of different ethnicities and backgrounds.

My country Nepal is not only unique for its flag but also its geographical terrain, the variety of castes and cultures you can find, and the rich history of it. It is the land of various great places and important figures that people know far and wide. The temperature here spans from cool to hot and is a heaven for residing in.

There are about 126 castes in Nepal each with its own rich history and culture which makes Nepal a rich place for culture. Some dating back to the millenniums. Not only that, our country is very rich in its geographical terrain. From the lowest point of just 70 Meters from sea level to the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest (8848.86 meters) , we have temperature scales that vary from place to place. It is divided into three regions, Terai, Hilly, and Himalayas each according to their altitude and geographical differences.

Himalayan regions have high and mighty Himalayas that are breathtaking to look at. Out of the world’s top 10 highest peaks, 8 of them fall in my country. It is already a great pride to have come from such a country. The diverse flora and fauna, beautiful landscapes, lush and green jungles, historical and religious places in Nepal are enough to gather the attention of foreigners and locals too. People from all over the world pay thousands of dollars just to see our country’s snow-capped mountains, rivers, cliffs, waterfalls, other beautiful landscapes, the rich flora and fauna, and sites of great religious and historical importance. It just doesn’t end there.

πŸ“ŒΒ Read –   Essay on the Importance of English Language

Our country ranks in the top 5 for the richest in water resources. With just a small country with an area of 1,47,181 sq kilometers, it has the potential to fuel hydropower worth 2% of the entire world. It may look small in number but taking our country’s small area in context, it is a potential incomparable to all. The Terai region holds fertile land and smooth flowing waters that are excellent for farming and cultivating.

Nepal is also known as an agricultural country where 60% of the people here follow agriculture as their work. Our country also has huge historical importance. Gautama Buddha the founder and preacher of Buddhism which is practiced worldwide was also born in Nepal. Buddhism is known to preach peace and non-violence and to love everyone. King Janak is also an important figure who holds great importance to communities in Nepal.

Other personalities include Bhrikuti, Araniko, etc. Our country is also known for its bravery. Our country never has to celebrate Independence day as we were never under the rule of any other. We stood and fought against the Britans and other Mongol countries. Brave Gorkhalis were united after a long struggle and fought their way to preserve their country. The courage and bravery of Nepali people are also know world wide. Many brave Gorkhalis went to fight under countries in world wars and won various colors and medals. This brought our country so much respect that we even enjoy it for granted to date.

Although our country’s history, culture, terrains, and achievements make anyone feel proud, the power struggle for the politicians, previous kings, and presidents have made the country weak and fall in the developing country category. Our rich natural resources have not been utilized and we have fallen way behind. Corruption is widely prevalent in our country and the loans we have taken from other countries are in a large number. The amount of food and other materialistic consumption has made Nepal import more and export less.

Our country is poor but the people here are rich. This is because of the corruption and the illegal working/trading that has been done. The government has not made significant progress and the people aren’t responsible. Although I feel proud to be A Nepali, the condition of my country makes me feel bad. People should feel responsible and carry out their duties and not just complain about the government.

The government too should implement proper policies and rules and enforce them accordingly. Utilization of our natural resources should be done in an effective way and social evils such as discrimination according to castes and genders, other superstitions should be slowly removed. Centralized development should stop and we should control the people moving out to other countries with their skills that are wasted abroad. This way we can slowly develop our country.

My Duties towards my Country as being a Citizen

Years have been passed since our country got independence from the British rule by the sacrifices of many great freedom fighters. They were real followers of their duties towards country who really made possible the dream of freedom in the country by paying very costly cost of lives of millions of people. After independence of India, rich people and politicians got involved in their own development only and not the country. It is true that we have been independent from the British rule however not from the greediness, crimes, corruption, irresponsibility, social issues, child labour, poverty, cruelty, terrorism, female infanticide, gender inequality, dowry death, gang rape, and other illegal activities.

It is not enough making only rules, regulations, laws, acts, campaigns and programmes by the government, they are needed to be followed strictly by each and every Indian citizen to be really free from all the illegal activities. Indian citizens need to perform their loyal duties towards country for the betterment of everyone by eliminating poverty, gender inequality, child labour, crimes against women and other social issues. Indian citizens have right to select their own political leader which can lead their country in right direction towards development. So, they do not have right to blame bad people in their life. They must keep their eyes opened while voting their political leaders and chose the one who is really free of corrupt mind and has capability to lead a country.

It is must for the people of India to perform their duties individually towards country to really become independent in true sense. It is very necessary for the development of the country which can be possible only from the end of its disciplined, punctual, dutiful and honest citizens.

Duty towards my Country Essay 400 words

A person has various duties in his/her life towards himself, family, parents, kids, wife, husband, neighbors, society, community and most importantly towards the country. Duties of a person towards country are very important to maintain its dignity, bright future, and lead it towards betterment.

I am an Indian citizen as I took birth here. As being a responsible citizen of the country, I have many duties towards my country which I must fulfill all that. I have to perform my duties in various aspects and all that related to the development of my country.

What is Duty

Duty is a task or action needed to be performed by each and every individual of the country on regular basis for the betterment and more development. Performing duty loyally is the responsibility of Indian citizens and is the demand of development in country.

What are my Duties towards my Country

Citizen of a country is the person who lives almost his/her full life and leaves his/her ancestors too, so everyone has some duties towards country. Take an example of home in which various members live together however everyone has to follow all the rules and regulations made by a most senior person or head of the family for the betterment and peaceful life in the home. Just like that, our country is like a home in which people of various religions live together however they need to follow some rules and regulations made by the government for more development in the country. Loyal duties of citizens aim to remove all the social issues, bring real independence in the country and come under the category of developed countries.

People working in the government or private offices, must go on time and perform their duties loyally without wasting time as there is a true saying that β€œif we destroy time, time will destroy us”. Time never waits anyone, it runs continuously and we should learn from the time. We should not stay until we get the goal in our life. The most important goal of our life is to make our country a great country in true sense.

We should not be selfish people and understand our duties towards country. It’s we, not others who are both, the victim and the benefiter. Our each and every activity affects us in positive and negative manner (if we do positive we become benefiter and if we do negative we become victim). So, why we do not take pledge today to take our each and every step positively in right direction in order to get protected from being a victim in our own country. It is us who have right to rule the country by selecting a good leader. So, why we blame others or politicians, we should blame only us and not others as it’s we who are not performing duties according to the demand. We have been involved in our own daily routine only and have not any mean to other’s life, extracurricular activities, political affairs of the country, etc. It is our mistake that our country is still in the category of developing country and not in the developed country.

It is a big problem man; we should not take it easy. We should not be greedy and selfish; we should live and let others live a healthy and peaceful life. The bright future of our country is in our own hand. Still there is a time and chance for us, we can do better. Start living with open eyes and perform true duties towards the country. We should maintain the cleanliness of our heart, body, mind and surrounding areas for the good start.
