Homework (Spanish: La tarea) is a 1991 Mexican drama film directed by Jaime Humberto Hermosillo. It was entered into the 17th Moscow International Film Festival where it won a Special Mention. The film was selected as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 64th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

Buenísimaaa, es mucho más que una simple película sexual. Me encantó la forma en que está grabada rompiendo la cuarta pared para dar grandes mensajes sobre la intimidad, la protección sexual, los acomplejados que llegamos a sentirnos de nuestros cuerpos, la exigencia femenina y hasta de economía.

Además es muy divertida en su diálogo y más con la dirección tan colorida de Jaime Humberto Hermosillo en sus mejores años. Sin mencionar las buenísimas actuaciones de José Alonso y la gran María Rojo. Quizá ya encontré mi actuación y personaje favorito de ella, dato.

Nunca creí ver que alguien supiera darle tan buen uso a Los Marcianos Llegaron Ya . Quién para???

Empezando el año con Jaime Humberto Hermosillo siempre es algo de que hablar, más con este gran experimento fílmico.

Con un argumento tan simple de dos personajes, y donde juega de una gran manera con el encuadre voyerista. El guion escrito como si Hermosillo hiciera teatro, que no lo dudo que lo dominara, sin perder su estilo atrevido y propositivo que lo caracteriza.

Aparte nos regala el “Es pa’ una tarea” mas  chingón que he visto.

One of those in-te-res-ting minimalist movies where J H Hermosillo imposes strict limitations on himself and tries to make something watchable anyway; in this one, he restricts himself to one camera setup for the entire length of the movie and gives the illusion that the performers have knocked the whole 80 minutes out in one take.

Four or five times I've seen him play similar games; I think it's a post-cinema "alternative production models" strategy. This'n may be the wittiest of the five, with some striking insights into gendered behavior.

Qué película tan chida esta, la verdad. Tiene un concepto muy interesante e, incluso en estos momentos, se siente super fresco. Treinta años después. La Tarea es la historia de una chica que se pone a hacer "una tarea de la escuela", en la que tiene que grabarse a si misma siendo sincera. Para esto invita a un hombre para tener relaciones con él. Ya entrados en la acción él se da cuenta de la cámara. De ahí pasan cosas muy chidas.

La propuesta de esta película me pareció increíble, pues es manejada casi como lo que conocemos como video blog. Es una cámara que rompe la cuarta pared todo el tiempo, que a la vez tiene muy pocos movimientos…

Jaime Humberto Hermosillo – La tarea prohibida aka Forbidden Homework (1992)

In this provocative drama from Mexican filmmaker Jaime Humberto Hermosillo, Julian Pastor plays a young college student who is living with his aunt. The student is taking a course in filmmaking and is working on a short video as a class project. An attractive middle-aged woman, Marieda (Maria Rojo), arrives to audition for a part in the video; when the film’s male lead fails to show up, the young man takes the role as he auditions a romantic scene with the woman, and later they move from pretend lovemaking to the real thing. But as it turns out, this isn’t the first time the boy and the woman have met, which leads to a disturbing revelation. Forbidden Homework was a semi-sequel to Hermosillo accalimed feature La Tarea. NMSU film students celebrate 100th anniversary of Gila Wilderness

SILVER CITY, N.M. — Seven short documentary films made by New Mexico State University students will headline the Gila Film Showcase this weekend. It’s part of a week of festivities hosted by the U.S. Forest Service for the 100th Anniversary of the Gila Wilderness.

The event celebrates the first federally designated wilderness in the country, which happens to be in New Mexico.

“One of the things that we’re most excited about is just sharing with audiences the beautiful work that the students did,” says NMSU professor and Gila Film School director Ilana Lapid.

Back in 2022, leaders with the Gila Film School took a trip to the wilderness with 13 student filmmakers.

“Our intention from the beginning was to use the power of visual storytelling for conservation, and to involve a diverse group of young filmmakers from various backgrounds, some of whom had never really experienced wilderness before,” Ilana said.

Seven short films came out of that trip. Each explores the relationship between people and the wilderness.

Screenings will be:

• Saturday, June 1 at 4:30 p.m. at the Silco Theater
• Sunday, June 2 at 1 p.m. at the Silco Theater

4:57 PM PT -- Bam Margera announced there will be ANOTHER wedding! Just minutes ago he posted a pic of his bride, Dannii, with the caption, "Danielle Marie MARGERA, it’s official. To all family and friends there will be a November wedding in Pennsylvania for everyone with a @yelawolf performance! Everyone is invited except Paul (head)😂❤️💍😘"

Bam Margera is once again a married man -- this time putting a ring on Dannii Marie 's finger and locking her down for good ... and TMZ's got the first photos of the ceremony!

The 'Jackass' star's manager Mike Quinn tells us Bam and Dannii got hitched Tuesday in Socorro County, New Mexico ... where we're told they're down there filming a movie right now called "Collecting Souls," in which Dannii is the lead.

It seems shooting the film got her in the mood for love ... 'cause she and Bam exchanged vows at the Val Verde Historic Hotel -- with a bunch of people working on set in attendance.

No friends and family were able to crash it, but there were still a ton of folks around to watch -- and as you can see in footage obtained by TMZ ... it was a super sweet moment, with Bam and Dannii fully locked in and eventually saying "I do" to each other. Bam got choked up towards the end of his vows when he credited her for getting him to stop drinking and back to skateboarding.

BTW, the whole thing was being shot on camera ... so it sounds like we may see more of this in the near future. For now though ... Bam's married anew, and we've seen the paperwork that makes it legit, including a marriage certificate that's stamped.

Of course, as we've reported, Bam has been ensnared in a nasty custody battle with his ex, Nikki Boyd , with whom he shares a child ... and who he had a ceremony with in 2013.

You might recall, they had a marrige ceremony in Iceland ... but Bam has maintained it was never valid since it didn't happen in the States and there were no official documents to back it up. We're told Bam stands by that even now ... which is why he was free to do this.

On its face, it would seem he's correct ... especially when you consider Nikki never technically filed for divorce, just legal separation . Either way ... Bam has fully moved on.

As we reported ... Bam and Dannii got engaged in October, this after dating for about six months. She's been critical in his journey toward sobriety -- and despite some bumps in the road here and there, they've stuck it out ... and now, they're ready to start a life together.

Jennifer Lopez Shakes Off Reporter's Question About Her 'Situation' with Ben Affleck: 'You Know Better Than That'

The reporter interrupted proceedings as the actress/producer was participating in a Mexico press day for her new Netflix film 'Atlas'

Jennifer Lopez  is keeping focused on work.

The actress/producer, 54, was in Mexico City on Wednesday, May, 22 to promote her new Netflix film Atlas when one reporter interrupted proceedings to ask her a personal question instead of a professional one.

"Is your divorce with Ben Affleck  real? These rumors?" the unidentified reporter unexpectedly interjected amid a room full of astonished press. "What is the truth? Para le press le Mexicana [for the Mexican press], what is the truth of the situation?"

Lopez's costar, Simu Liu , immediately said. "Okay we're not doing that."

"Thank you so much guys, we really appreciate it. Thank you," he added.

Lopez then leaned in and looked directly at the reporter, responding, "You know better than that."

"C'mon, don't come in with that energy, please," Liu added.

"If I could just end on one thing," Liu continued. "Jen is a producer on this movie and the reason why I am here and why Sterling [K. Brown] was in this beautiful movie is because Jen cares. And Jen cares about things like representation and diversity, and she's a boss."

Lopez ended the press conference by telling the press in Spanish, "Thank you. No one asked me anything in Spanish but okay." She blew a kiss and smiled as the attendees laughed.

The performer has been been busy promoting the streaming sci-fi flick amid a challenging time in her marriage to Ben Affleck.

Their marriage is " not in the best place at the moment ," a source connected to Lopez told PEOPLE earlier this week. The couple has been living apart recently amid marriage strife, according to other sources.

Affleck was not at the Los Angeles premiere of Atlas on Monday nor the Mexico City premiere on Tuesday.

Instead, the actor was spotted dining at a popular Italian restaurant in Santa Monica while Lopez was out of the country promoting the film. Both were spotted wearing their wedding rings this week.

Lopez and Affleck met on the set of Gigli back in 2001 and became engaged but split in 2004. Nearly two decades later, they rekindled their romance and got married in a small wedding in Vegas in 2022 .

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) is adapting the hit ‘90s sitcom “Mad About You” in Mexico. Production kicks off in June of “Enloqueciendo Contigo” with a notable cast led by Regina Blandón and Memo Villegas .

The upcoming adaptation follows other local versions made in Chile, Argentina, the U.K. and even China.   

“We are delighted to begin developing this adaptation of  ‘Mad About You,’  a series that has seen critical and commercial success worldwide,” said John Rossiter, EVP of Networks & Distribution, Latin America, SPT.

To be directed by Magaby García and Salvador Suárez, “Enloqueciendo Contigo” follows Jimena and Pablo, a couple with contrasting backgrounds and personalities, in their transition from whirlwind romance to marriage.

Set in a Mexico City apartment, they navigate the intricacies of cohabitation while facing the challenges of their careers, family dynamics, and the constant influence of friends. Infused with Mexican humor, the adaptation blends witty exchanges, fiery disputes and heartfelt reconciliations, SPT promises.

“I am excited to be part of this project, not only because of its importance in the history of television but also because of the opportunity to give life to one of the most endearing characters,” said Blandón, who plays Jimena. Her multiple credits in stage, TV and film include “La Familia P. Luche” and Netflix series “Historia de un Crimen: La Búsqueda.”

“’Mad About You’ is a series that touched the hearts of many people. I am very happy to be part of this new version, which, in addition to bringing things from our times, will allow the world to appreciate the romance between Pablo and Jimena,” said Memo Villegas, who plays Pablo.
