PhD in Business Management, Project Management

School of business, technology, and health care administration.

The PhD in Business Management specialization in Project Management is designed for learners with a working knowledge of project management, for example those with a Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or at least one master’s-level project management course. The specialization focuses on current and emerging methodologies and frameworks; contemporary leadership theories and practices; communications approaches; social networking theories; and complexity theories for improving project and program results. Learners investigate and acquire the knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques necessary to effectively lead projects and programs in a variety of settings, and to conduct appropriate research to improve project management practices. Topics include advanced project and program management methodologies, risk management, portfolio optimization, and leadership. Successful completion of this specialization prepares learners to lead, consult, perform research, or teach in the field of project management from an informed, strategic perspective.

What Can I Expect?

Each unit consists of readings, discussions, and other activities you will be expected to complete throughout the week. Assignments are due on Sundays, though not every course requires an assignment each week.

In each course, you will receive a detailed scoring guide that describes expectations for every graded assignment.

Grades are based on your participation in weekly reading discussions and completion of assignments. You will also be assessed on your ability to demonstrate an understanding of expected outcomes for your program or specialization. These outcomes are based on the needs and performance standards of your field or discipline.

The Master of Science in Project Management prepares you to drive innovation in your organization by giving you the skills and tools to effectively lead volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous projects from inception to completion in global markets. In October of 2021, the Master of Science in Project Management accreditation was re-affirmed for the maximum five-year accreditation cycle (originally accredited in 2009) by the PMI Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC) , the world's leading association for project management professionals. Accreditation is achieved by meeting the GAC’s rigorous standards, which include an assessment of program objectives and outcomes, a review of onsite and online resources, evaluations of faculty and students, and proof of continuous improvements in the area of project management.

Graduates of our GAC-accredited program are granted a substantial 12-month reduction credit toward the experience requirement when they complete an application for any PMI certification. This means that those applying for the PMI certification will only need 24 months of project management experience, instead of 36 months as outlined by GAC. This new benefit applies retroactively to our program’s initial accreditation date of 2009.

The PhD in Project Management provides a path for the highest mastery of managing business processes in competitive local, national, and global industries. The PhD in Project Management program is structured for experienced professionals in this field with an appropriate undergraduate degree. Within the program, students will conduct original research in an approved area of Project Management. 

As your PhD progresses, you will move through a series of progression points and review stages by your academic supervisor. This ensures that you are engaged in research that will lead to the production of a high-quality thesis and/or publications, and that you are on track to complete this in the time available. Following submission of your PhD Thesis or accepted three academic journal articles, you will have an oral presentation assessed by an external expert in your field.

Dr. Richard Baker

Dissertation Chair

Dr. Richard Baker is Dissertation Chair of Graduate Programs at Capitol Technology University. He previously served as associate professor in Indiana State University’s Department of Aviation Technology, and as executive director of the Center for Unmanned Systems and Human Capital Development.  Richard holds a BS in mathematics and an MS in computer science from Indiana State University. He received his doctorate in information systems from Nova Southeastern University.  

Dr. Craig Capano

Dissertation Chair/Adjunct Professor

Craig D. Capano, PhD, CPC, is a Dissertation Chair and Adjunct Professor at Capitol Technology University for PhD students in Construction Science. Dr. Capano earned his PhD in Civil Engineering, Master of Construction Science and Management degree, and a dual undergraduate degree in Architectural Engineering and Construction Management. He completed post doctorate work at Harvard University’s College of Education focusing on Higher Education Administration. Dr. Capano brings extensive academic and professional experience with more than 47 years of experience in the construction industry and over 25 years in academic program leadership. He currently serves as principal of The Capano Group, a consulting firm for contractors and construction education.

Dr. Ian McAndrew

Prof. Ian R. McAndrew, PhD is a mechanical engineer who has worked in education nearly 30 years. His global teaching and research began in London and, now with Capitol Technology University where he is the Dean of Doctoral Programs, have taken him around the world. He has taught in over 25 countries, holds six degrees, is qualified as an Electrical Engineer, and is an accepted fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Association Fellowship, also known as a FRAeS. He has supervised over 80 PhDs and has almost 60 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. McAndrew’s current research is in aerodynamics and low speed flight. He is frequently invited to deliver keynote speeches and is the chair of several international conferences. Additionally, he is the editor or assistant editor in chief of several international academic journals.

Eric Motycka

Director of Graduate Programs

Eric Motycka serves Capitol Technology University as the Director of Graduate Programs. Prior to joining Capitol Tech, Eric held multiple leadership positions in industries ranging from industrial coatings to financial services to Higher Education Advancement. Eric holds a BA in Literature and Writing from Burlington College, an MBA from Indiana State University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Indiana State University.

Graduates will contribute significantly to the creation of new knowledge and ideas, and will be prepared for in-demand roles such as a trusted subject matter expert, researcher, technician, manager, or professor.

Degree Details

This program may be completed with a minimum of 60 credit hours, but may require additional credit hours, depending on the time required to complete the dissertation/publication research. Students who are not prepared to defend after completion of the 60 credits will be required to enroll in RSC-899, a one-credit, eight-week continuation course. Students are required to be continuously enrolled/registered in the RSC-899 course until they successfully complete their dissertation defense/exegesis.

The PhD program offers 2-degree completion requirement options:  

Dissertation Option: the student will produce, present, and defend a doctoral dissertation after receiving the required approvals from the student’s Committee and the PhD Review Boards. 

Publication Option: the student will publish three works of original research in a scholarly peer-reviewed journal(s) of high stature. Two of the three published works may be in a peer reviewed conference proceeding if the conference is international and approved by the Dean. The student will produce an exegesis culminating the work for their defense. Students must receive the required approvals from the student’s Committee and the PhD Review Board prior to publication. Prior Achieved Credits May Be Accepted.

• The per-credit charge for doctorate courses is $950. This is the same for in-state and out-of-state students.

The Doctorate of Philosophy in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Project Management is designed for advanced graduate students with strong academic credentials who seek to focus on a specific research subject in depth. The program requires a minimum of 36 credit hours and combines advanced-level coursework with a doctoral dissertation. The PhD program is residential. UMD does not offer an online PhD program in Project Management.

Doctoral students will have many opportunities to research relevant theoretical and practical problems in major project-based industries including engineering and construction, real estate planning, government services, and others for use in their dissertations.

Every doctoral student is supervised by a designated professor and benefits from his or her personal guidance. A committee of other professors formed with expertise similar to the student’s topic of study will also be available for support.

The PhD program is designed with a foundation of five core courses and electives as needed to support their dissertation. Core courses and PM electives are shown below.

Our admission process is simple and streamlined, making it easier for you to begin your B.A. in Business Administration – Project Management & Information Systems YourPace online program. Applicants should have the equivalent of a high school diploma and possess some prior college credit or work experience.

Admission Requirements:

Admissions Requirements and Guidelines for Undergraduate Programs

• Students must be 20 years of age at the time of application.
• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., HiSet, GED)
• Submission of all official transcripts:Transcripts are only considered official if they are sent directly to UMPI from the granting institution or their electronic ordering service. Student-submitted transcripts are not accepted.
• College credits with a cumulative GPA of less than a 1.75 must also submit a resume to indicate activities and experience post high school diploma (or equivalent). An interview may be required.

To earn your B.A. in Business Administration – Project Management & Information Systems you need to complete 120 credit hours of coursework. Each course is built around a series of competencies. Once you have mastered the series, you complete the course. Using our personalized learning model, we look at your past college credit, prior learning, and work experience to create your custom degree plan.

The program includes 40 credit hours of general education courses, 59-62 credit hours of business core/Project Management and Information Systems Concentration courses, and 18-21 credit hours of electives.

Business Administration Major

Bus 101: introduction to business.

Duration : 8 weeks | Credit Hours : 3

This course is intended to help first year business management students clarify their business education and career goals. Basic concepts of management, marketing, operations, finance, and human resource management will be surveyed. Classroom lectures will be supplemented by field trips to local businesses and lectures by guest speakers.

BUS 150: Introduction to Financial Accounting

Topics include transaction analysis, recording accounting information, and preparation of financial statements. Additional topics include accounting for sales, cost of sales, inventory, and other assets. The emphasis is on communicating financial information to external users. Students use accounting software to establish and maintain an accounting system for a simulated business. Must be taken before BUS 220.

BUS 200: Intermediate Business Computing

In-depth exploration of the advanced features of the Microsoft Office suite. Integration of spreadsheet and database information into reports and presentations and querying functions. Students lacking significant experience with Microsoft Office should take BUS 125 before taking BUS 200.

BUS 220: Managerial Accounting

Accounting for internal decision making, planning, and control purposes. The manufacturing environment is emphasized. Topics include cost behavior and analysis, relevant costs, job order and process cost systems, budgeting, and standard costs. Prerequisite: BUS 325.

BUS 244: Management Information Systems

This course will provide an introduction to computer and telecommunications information systems. Topics covered will include information system concepts, hardware and software systems components, basics of systems operation, and the ethical use of information systems in culturally diverse organizations and societies. This course is designed to accommodate non-business majors who wish to gain a greater understanding of information systems. Prerequisite: BUS 125 or BUS 200.

BUS 325: Financial Management

This course emphasizes the role of the financial manager in forecasting and planning, coordination and control, dealing with financial markets, and, primarily, major investment and financing decisions. Coverage includes financial statement analysis, the time value of money, valuation of securities, the cost of capital, capital budgeting, capital structure, financial forecasting, and managing and financing current assets. Prerequisite: BUS 220 and BUS 150.

BUS 353: Legal & Ethical Environment of Business

An overview of business and society, corporate social responsibility and ethics; focused study of legal topics including the Constitution, contracts, torts and government regulation. Developing analytical skills and professional communication skills are emphasized.

BUS 440: Business Analytics

This course focuses on the development and delivery of predictive data analysis for strategic decision making in organizations. Students will apply the principles and tools to real-world problems, enabling them to integrate their knowledge of business intelligence in their careers and is essential to their performance and competitive advantage.

BUS 469: Strategic Professional Communication

Using business knowledge and analytical skills, students develop professional level oral and written communication skills. Experiential learning exercises provide opportunities to develop strategic solutions to situations confronting a hypothetical organization.

COM 210: Organizational Communication

This course explores essential oral communication skills for professional settings. Students will develop proficiencies relevant for leadership, conflict resolution, debate, group interactions, group facilitation, and decision making. Applications will include various forms of message delivery, such as presentations, impromptu speaking activities, and simulations of common professional communication scenarios.

ECO 207: Macro & Micro Economics

Fundamental principles of capitalist macroeconomics including growth and recession, inflation, unemployment, the role of government regulation, economic development, and trade. Micro topics include supply and demand, market structure, and market failure.

Mat 140: Mathematics for Business

Mathematical analysis for economics, accounting, finance, and management. Graphing, exponential and logarithmic functions, mathematics of finance, derivatives and optimization. Equivalent: MAT 131. Prerequisite: MAT 117 or equivalent score on placement test. Students can also take MAT 131 – Calculus.

Project Management & Information Systems

Bus 141: introduction to project management with microsoft projects.

Introduction to Project Management will present the foundational skills needed to have an immediate impact on projects. Microsoft Project will be used with an emphasis on practical application in the workplace. This course will also provide the skills needed to be an effective member and leader of project teams. Must be taken before BUS 343, BUS 400, BUS 359, BUS 401.

BUS 240: Change Management

This course will analyze the forces that drive organizations to change, examine impediments to change, and survey a range of approaches for making organizational change more effective. This course provides practical skills for managing and leading change in your personal life and within any organization.

BUS 343: Project Risk and Cost Management

This course will cover the Risk and Cost Management process as defined by the PMBOK. In this course, we will cover defining risk, planning for risks, responding to risks, and the proper methods for risk monitoring and controlling. Other topics covered will include project cost and managing the project budget. Prerequisite: BUS 141.

BUS 345: Database Management Systems

This course focuses on the database components of an information system. Topics covered include database models, data structures, storage, retrieval, manipulation, and reporting within organizations. Special emphasis will be placed on database applications within the functional areas of business such as human resources, finance, accounting, marketing, and operations. Corequisite: BUS 244.

BUS 400: Project Management Applications

Service learning opportunity to apply project management skills. Experience work on a project opportunity for a real organization. This course provides students with the opportunity to utilize their communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and project management skills to assist a local organization with an initiative of importance. Prerequisite: BUS 343.

BUS 415: Operations Management

Operations management focuses on the use of six sigma methodology in both the manufacturing and service industries. Topics will include introducing students to the DMAIC steps for process improvement, while having the ability to apply those steps through a service learning project with a real organization.

Bus 245: programming for managers.

Programming structure for modern programming languages used in businesses. The necessary skills of programming design, structures, testing, documentation, implementation, and maintenance are accomplished using PC-based programming tools. Provides MIS students and manager with an understanding of how object-oriented programming can be used to enhance business application.

BUS 401: Advanced Project Management Applications II

Continued service learning opportunity to apply project management skills. Experience work on a project opportunity for a real organization. This course provides students with the opportunity to implement a project for an organization, while utilizing communication, change management, teamwork, critical thinking, and project management skills. Admission requirements.

• A non-refundable, non-transferable $50 application fee will be posted on the current application upon enrollment (waived for qualifying service members, veterans, and military spouses – documentation verifying military status is required) .
• Unofficial transcripts can be used for acceptance purposes with the submission of a Transcript Request Form .
• Applicants whose native language is other than English must submit official scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or an approved alternative assessment. For information on alternative assessments or TOEFL waivers, please call Admissions or view the official International Admissions policy .

Upon acceptance, the graduate transfer department will evaluate students for 27 hours of business credit in the following subject areas: accounting, business ethics, business finance, business integration and strategic management, business leadership, global dimensions of business, information management systems, legal environment of business, macroeconomics, human resource management, operations/production management, organizational behavior, marketing, microeconomics, or quantitative research techniques/statistics. Those who are missing some or all of these subject areas may be required to take BMAL 590.

If you are sending in a preliminary transcript for acceptance, you must:

• Be in your final term and planning to start your master’s degree after the last day of class for your bachelor’s degree.
• Complete a Bachelor’s Self-Certification Form confirming your completion date. You may download the form from the Forms and Downloads page or contact an admissions counselor to submit the form on your behalf.
• Submit an official/unofficial transcript to confirm that you are in your final term. The preliminary transcript must show a minimum of 105 completed credit hours.
• If you are a current Liberty University student completing your undergraduate degree, you will need to submit a Degree/Certificate Completion Application .
• Send in an additional, final official transcript with a conferral date on it by the end of your first semester of enrollment in the new master’s degree.

Unofficial transcripts combined with a Transcript Request Form can be used for admission. Official transcripts are required within 60 days of the admissions decision or before non-attendance drops for the first set of matriculated classes, whichever comes first, and will prevent enrollment into future terms until all official transcripts have been received.

Before sending unofficial college transcripts, please make sure they include the following:

• Your previous school’s name or logo printed on the document
• Cumulative GPA
• A list of completed courses and earned credit broken down by semester
• Degree and date conferred (if applicable)

Official College Transcript Policy

An acceptable official college transcript is one that has been issued directly from the institution and is in a sealed envelope. Applied General Education

This course prepares students to be successful lifelong learners both academically and in their chosen careers. Franklin courses require a high level of self-directed learning and focus on the skills required in the workplace and the classroom that are easily transferrable between the two environments. The course includes strategies for time management, goal setting, reading comprehension, and advancing communication skills, including the use of electronic tools to participate in virtual environments.

This course prepares students to be successful lifelong learners both academically and in their chosen careers. Franklin courses require a high level of self-directed learning and focus on the skills required in the workplace and the classroom that are easily transferable between the two environments. The course includes strategies for advancing communication skills, including the use of electronic tools to participate in virtual environments. The assignments and activities in the course are created to closely simulate teamwork found in the workplace.

This basic public-speaking course intends to improve the student's ability to think critically and to communicate orally. Theory and practice are provided in various speaking situations. Each student is required to speak before an audience, but class work also involves reading, gathering and organizing information, writing, and listening.

By using applied critical and creative thinking, students in this course will develop a set of communication skills that will enhance their personal and professional relationships and endeavors. This course will focus on skill development in key areas such as self, perception, listening, verbal messages, conversations, relationships, conflict management, persuasion, and presentation skills.

8 credits from the following types of courses: Complete any course at the 100 or 200 level

In this course, students acquire the writing competencies necessary for completing analytical and argumentative papers supported by secondary research. A variety of assignments, beginning with personal reflections, build upon one another, as students develop ideas that respond to, critique, and synthesize the positions of others. Students systematize and organize knowledge in ways that will help them in all their courses. The course also emphasizes the elements of critical reading, effective writing style, appropriate grammar and mechanics, clarity of language, and logical and cohesive development. It culminates in submission of an extended, documented research paper.

At least 4 credits from the following courses:

This course introduces you to statistics with applications to various areas. The course covers both descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics included are: sampling techniques, data types, experiments; measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion, graphical displays of data, basic probability concepts, binomial and normal probability distributions, sampling distributions and Central Limit Theorem; confidence intervals, hypothesis tests of a mean, or a proportion for one or two populations, and linear regression.

Choose MATH 140 or MATH 150 as the prerequisite. Course can count as a General Education or University Elective.

4 credits from the following types of courses: Any Social and Behavioral Science course (Anthropology, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, or Sociology disciplines)

The purpose of this course is to provide the fundamentals associated with the management of information technology in a business enterprise. These fundamentals are business concepts in which the influence of information technology has caused change or brought about new concepts. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding the managerial issues that are relevant to the usage of computers. The student will be given problems isolating these issues and will be asked to propose solutions with alternatives.

This course explores the basic concepts and processes of management. Students will explore the functional roles and processes of planning, leading, organizing, and controlling comprising the manager role. Students develop skills related to the manager function that are required in today's competitive environment.

This course provides an introduction to the concepts of information technology project management and techniques for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling of resources to accomplish specific project goals. Both technical and behavioral aspects of project management are discussed. While the focus is on information technology projects, the principles follow the nine project management knowledge areas obtained in the Project Management Institute's?PMBOK?Guide, Third Edition?and, thus, are applicable to the management of any project. Topics will include integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communications, risk, and procurement management. Project management software utilization is emphasized.

Students who enroll at Franklin with 30 or fewer hours of transfer credit are required to pass PF 121 Basic Learning Strategies in place of PF 321 Learning Strategies. Interpersonal Communication (COMM 150) or Speech Communication (SPCH 100) must be taken prior to enrolling in any course at the 300 level or above. 5. Not be under disciplinary dismissal due to academic dishonesty or a violation of the Student Code of Conduct

Program Chairs and Academic Advisors are available for consultation to provide information and guidance regarding the selection of courses, the accuracy of schedules, and the transfer process. However, students are responsible for understanding and meeting the degree requirements of their major program or degree and for planning schedules accordingly.

Overall Residency Requirements

Course level requirements.

A student must have 40 credit hours overall that are equivalent to 300/400 level Franklin University courses for a bachelor’s degree. A student must have a minimum of 12 credit hours of courses that are equivalent to 200 level or above for an associate’s degree.

Business Core Requirements

Majors that have Business Core requirements are Accounting, Applied Management, Business Administration, Business Economics, Business Forensics, Energy Management, Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, Financial Planning, Forensic Accounting, Human Resources Management, Information Systems Auditing, Logistics Management, Management & Leadership, Marketing, Operations & Supply Chain Management, and Risk Management & Insurance. The Business Core is the foundation of the related academic disciplines appropriate for a baccalaureate degree in business. The purpose of the Business Core is to provide students with a conceptual understanding of organizations, how the functional areas interrelate to achieve organizational goals, and how to apply professional decision-making competencies and technical skills in today’s environment. After completing the Business Core, graduates will be able to:

• analyze an organization’s accounting information in order to develop sound business decisions
• identify and apply valuation models relevant to an organization’s financial decisions
• identify the impact of forces influencing the major functional areas of business (e.g., ethical, legal, technological, economic, global and social)
• apply marketing activities to the delivery of goods and services in business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets
• apply interpersonal and resource management skills to enhance business success

Business Principles (BSAD 110) is a Business Core prerequisite. Transfer students with the equivalent of four business courses are not required to take Business Principles.

Major Area Requirements

A student must have 20 credit hours in the major area that are equivalent to 300/400 major level Franklin courses for a bachelor’s degree. A student must have 12 hours of major area courses that are equivalent to 200 level or above for an associate’s degree. A minimum 2.25 GPA is required in the major area for students enrolled in either the associate’s or bachelor’s degree programs, and each major course must be completed with a grade of “C” or better to count toward degree requirements.

Capstone Requirement

Every major has a capstone experience for which credit cannot be transferred into the University. This is a Franklin course designed to integrate and assess the learning outcomes specific to each major as a whole. This course should be taken as the last major course. If, given the academic scheduling process and the student’s projected graduation date, this is not possible, then the student should have Senior Standing (90 or more credit hours), plus the skill-based General Education courses (COMM, SPCH, WRIT, MATH, COMP), all business or professional core courses, and the capstone prerequisite courses.

Subsequent Degree Requirements

Students pursuing subsequent bachelor’s degrees must earn in residency at Franklin University a minimum of 30 credit hours at the 200 level or above, of which a minimum of 16 credit hours must be major area courses equivalent to 300/400 level courses.

Additional Degree Requirements

Students seeking an additional bachelor’s (or associate’s) degree must successfully complete a minimum of 30 credit hours (including the major requirements) beyond the first bachelor’s (or associate’s) degree. (See the “Subsequent Degree” section of the Academic Bulletin.)

Transfer Credit

Transfer credit and credit awarded on standardized exams, proficiency exams or portfolio credit awarded by another institution will not count toward the residency requirement at Franklin University. Credit awarded based on proficiency examination or portfolio evaluation conducted by Franklin University may apply as appropriate major area credit, but will not reduce the hours required toward the residency requirement.

A student who meets at least one of the following criteria is eligible for admission as a degree-seeking student: 

• Has provided official documentation of graduation from an accredited high school or its equivalent (see Documentation Required below), or 
• Has an associate, bachelor or master’s degree from an institutionally (formerly regionally) accredited institution of higher education, an institution recognized as a candidate for accreditation, or an institution recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation

Documentation Required

• Documentation of high school graduation or equivalence - required for applicants who are transferring fewer than 60 semester hours that apply towards a Franklin degree. 
• If the student has transferable hours of 60 credit hours or more from an institutionally (formerly regionally) accredited institution of higher education, then they will not have to provide a high school diploma or equivalence. Acceptable forms of documentation of high school graduation or high school equivalence for undergraduate admission must include one of the following: 
• Official high school transcript listing the date of graduation 
• Official GED certificate 
• Official documentation of having passed a State High School Equivalency examination 
• Official documentation of a home school completion certificate/transcript 
• Official transcripts from all educational institutions (college, universities, professional schools, etc.) previously enrolled in, regardless if credit was earned. 

A student classified as degree seeking will not be permitted to register for courses until all transcripts are received and placement tests completed (see specific requirements under “Placement Testing”).

English Language Proficiency Requirements

Prospective students must demonstrate English Language Proficiency. The requirement is met through any of the following: 

• The applicant is a citizen of a country where English is the official language. 
• he applicant has received a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an institution located in an English-speaking country in which the courses were taught in English. 
• The applicant has earned appropriate scores on language proficiency exams taken within the last two years, as listed below.

Undergraduate face-to-face: Students must earn a minimum overall TOEFL score of 500 (paper-based), 60 (Internet-based), 5.5 IELTS, ACCUPLACER ESL 259, or Cambridge 160 with at least the following scores on each of the exam subsections. Prior to registration, students will be given a language placement exam to determine whether ESL studies are required.

Global or Online International students must take Reading Comprehension and Writing placement exams. 

Students must earn a minimum overall TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) /79 (Internet-based), 6.5 IELTS, ACCUPLACER ESL® 105, or Cambridge 180 with at least the following scores on each of the exam subsections.

ACCUPLACER Assessments for Admission

• Prospective students may demonstrate English language proficiency through the ACCUPLACER ESL® examinations administered by Franklin University. The ACCUPLACER ESL® suite of examinations are internet-based, computer-adaptive assessments designed to properly assess students’ English language competencies. 
• Testing fees and any related administrative or proctor fee will be assessed for the administration of the 
• ACCUPLACER examinations. Students are also responsible for all fees incurred for retake examinations. 
• Students who do not meet the minimum score requirements may retake the examination(s) once within a two-week period. Subsequent examination retakes will be considered after a three month waiting period. Passing scores will remain valid with Franklin University for a period of two years. 
• All ACCUPLACER examinations must be administered by an approved proctor that meets specific criteria, as defined by our proctor expectations. An alternative to finding a proctor in your area is Virtual, an online proctoring service, approved by ACCUPLACER.
