However, the Indian government is determined to make India the third-largest economy in the next five years. This was because of the rapid industrialisation after independence and the introduction of Liberalisation, Globalisation and Privatisation in 1991-92.

Caring For a Bright Future

As a resident of the country, I look forward to the future with lots of hope and excitement for achieving the paths that India will chart. Our young people, who are the future and the driving force behind the nation’s progress, are prepared to take India to new heights.

Initiatives like Skill India and Start-Up India are empowering the next generation to become their leaders, innovators, and change-makers. They are equipped with the tools and resources that they need to thrive.

Further, I am particularly passionate about the people of India regarding their socio-economic backgrounds, access to quality education and healthcare and the opportunities for personal as well as professional growth.

By investing in the well-being and development of our citizens, we can step ahead into a more equitable and inclusive society. This will further help people chase their dreams and contribute towards the nation’s collective progress.

My love for the nation is deep and deep-rooted. I admire the country for its incredible history, the liveliness of its present, and the boundless potential of its future. As I reflect on the journey of this remarkable country, I am filled with pride, gratitude and commitment to being a responsible and engaged citizen.

Together we all can build on the legacy of our ancestors, embrace the diversity that makes us strong, and work towards a future where India will shine with the hope of progress, unity and global influence.

Why I Love My Country

rushmore mountain presidents

If you asked me if I love my country, I would be very surprised. Seriously. The point is that asking me that is like asking me whether I love my mother, my father or my grandparents. There is no doubt that I love my country and, what is more, I am very proud of it and its people. One reason why I love the United States of America is that America is always ready to provide people with endless opportunities to successfully realize their full potential no matter where they come from and what kind of background they have. Just look at the brightest examples of marvelous American citizens! Bill Gates, Al Harris, Owens, Martin Luther King, Jr., Marian Anderson and many many other individuals! These famous Americans have successfully proved that diversity is with no doubt one of the many splendid traits of the United States of America.

I can name one more reason why I love the country, where I was born. The United States military is an excellent source of pride for me and my friends. All the courageous women and men who make certain to serve the USA Army Forces solidly protect this beautiful land both – abroad and at home. Each of them is ready to sacrifice their time they could spend with the family. Remember the lyrics from the national anthem of the United States of America “God Bless the USA”? It says the following: “I cannot forget the men who died who gave this right to me”. In other words, the representatives of the USA Military show the best of our land!

To my mind, every individual who now serves (or who has ever served in the USA Army) is a true hero! The point is that I do have the right to say things like that for the reason that the Constitution of the United States of America enables every American to avail of his rights and many other opportunities. Why am I saying that? Just take a look at such countries like Turkmenistan, North Korea or Libya! Constitutional rights are something that people in these countries simply cannot take benefits from – they simply do not have them. At all!

I am more than just proud of all the important things the United States of America have learned from the years that have passed. Once famous man named Benjamin Franklin said: “Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment”. Keeping that in my mind, I must say that I love my precious Motherland because it has learnt a lot from some of the most nightmarish times in our history. The incredible progress we have made by learning is the number one reason why the United States of America are now the place where a person like Barack Obama can do what a great number of people were absolutely sure was impossible, by becoming the President of the land!

I also adore my Motherland because it provides a bunch of innovative technologies, and as the time is passing by, people make sure to invent new advanced technologies. And I am more than sure that a wide variety of new technologies will come soon! This and many other accomplishments make me extremely proud of the country I live in. I also favor some other countries, but my heart belongs to the United States of America!

Descriptive Essay: Why I Love South Africa

As an avid traveller, I’ve discovered several countries that got under my skin but the one I’ll always call home, where the heart is, is South Africa. I know that as a Saffa I’m being subjective but then again, I’ve seen the aspects that visitors to the country don’t usually see and I still love the place, warts and all. There is much to love about the land at the southern tip of Africa but for me its biggest strength is its diversity.

Having grown up under apartheid, I used to think that ‘diversity’ was only a good thing when it referred to the varied South African landscape. Of course the many worlds in one country is wonderful: You can drive only a couple of hours from Cape Town’s Mediterranean climate to the coastal forests of the Tsitsikamma or the arid, desolate Karoo; or from bustling Johannesburg to the tranquillity of the Drakensberg, the subtropical Lowveld or the wild Bushveld with its mopane and baobab trees.

However, the diversity that really gets my heart racing is that of the South African people. It used to be our curse but under the leadership of people like Nelson Mandela, it has come to be our blessing. Like so many of my countrymen, I had to learn to embrace difference but now I never want to live in a place where everyone looks the same, speaks the same language and holds the same beliefs. How, for instance, can I fear Islam when I’ve walked around a predominantly Muslim neighbourhood during Eid al Futr and felt the palpable sense of excitement and community in the air?

I once was in a train carriage where everyone, complete strangers, spontaneously started to dance to the music of a guitar-playing busker. I can’t imagine this happening in New York or London or Berlin. It made me realise how privileged I am to be part of the Rainbow Nation.

Of course there is a lot wrong with South Africa. The economic inequality makes me want to cry, as do the unacceptably high rates of crime and corruption. But then I look at where we were and how far we’ve come. A taxi driver in Nicaragua, upon hearing where I was from, said to me, ‘Oh, yes, you guys forgave one another.’ That’s been our salvation: That we can acknowledge the past but instead of being crippled by it, we can use it as a guide in making the world a better place for all.

I now try to live according to Ubuntu, the idea that ‘I am because you are’. I hope that this philosophy will come to be the greatest South African export. Meanwhile, I’ll keep carrying my beloved country in my heart and in my veins, no matter where I go.

Writing an essay about their country requires students to balance some facts about the country with their own perspectives. Here are some tips on how to compose an essay on ‘my country’:

  • For short essays in simple lines, stick to essential facts that define the country.
  • For short paragraph essays, children will have to express their thoughts about different aspects of their country.
  • For long essays on the country, students will be required to memorise important facts about the country, balanced with their perspectives.

India is part of the Asian continent. It is peninsular, surrounded by the Bay of Bengal to the east, the Arabian Sea to the west, and the great Indian Ocean to the south. Towards the north, the country is surrounded by great mountain ranges with the tallest peaks in the world called the Himalayas.

India has a vast and diverse population, making it the second-most populous country and the largest democracy in the world. India has various cultures, traditions, faiths, languages and even cuisines. I am proud of my country’s rich heritage and all its achievements.

To write a long paragraph on ‘my country’ for class 3, students will have to remember important facts about India. The essay can start with an introductory paragraph on modern India and its ancient roots. It can then go on to talk about various geographical features and cultures. Here is an example:

India is my country. It is a land of diverse cultures, languages, and religions living in unity and harmony. India is also called ‘Bharat’ or ‘Hindustan’ in its native languages. The Indian flag is tricoloured with stripes of saffron at the top, white in the middle, and green at the bottom with the Ashoka Chakra in the centre. India is an ancient country with a culture that spans thousands of years.

India is the world’s largest democracy, having the second-largest population. It has 28 states and eight union territories. It is the seventh-largest country by landmass. It is surrounded by the great Himalayas in the North and vast oceans to the South. India shares its borders with neighbouring countries such as China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar.

Historically the name India can be traced back to the river Indus, derived from the word ‘Sindhu.’ The country’s national animal is the tiger, and the national bird is the peacock.

India is also known as the land of spirituality and philosophy. People from different countries come to India to seek spiritual guidance. Even the practice of Yoga, now globally popular, originated in ancient India.

I am a proud Indian. If we strive for it, we can make India prosper and become a world leader in the future.

Writing an essay on their country encourages children to learn about their motherland and pick up some facts and general knowledge about their heritage. The essay also teaches children how to assimilate these facts and put them together in a coherent written format for their writing assignments. The essay can touch upon various aspects of the country, such as history, geographical and demographic facts, and noteworthy accomplishments. Students can then weave a good narrative around the facts and express their perspectives.

Love for one's country is part of faith - Muhammad

Pakistan is a country located in South Asia located to the west of India and to the South of China. Pakistan is the world's 5th largest country by population. The country gained independence from Britain in 1947. Pakistan means "The land of holy people". It was the only country in the world that originated from Islamic ideology.

Pakistan provides a trade route to China and Afghanistan through its seaports. Pakistan is a neighbour and friend of emerging economic power China. Many transcontinental countries do their trade through Pakistani seaports. Hence Pakistan holds an important geographic location in the subcontinent.

Love for the motherland is a natural passion. Everyone loves the place where he/she spends his childhood. So, the first and foremost reason why I love Pakistan is that it is my motherland.

He who loves not his country can love nothing - Lord Byron

This is the country where I was born and brought up. My family and friends live here. So, in any case, the first feeling for Pakistan is like one has for his/her own home. A sense of patriotism also emerges from home.

Pakistan gave me free education. It provides me free health care services. It gave my father a good job. It gave protection from my enemy. I can go anywhere I want. It gave me freedom of choices. This is why I love Pakistan.

In the love of home, the love of country has its rise - Charles Dickens

Pakistan was made in the name of Islam. It was created to practice the real Islamic ideology. So, every Muslim will love to live in such a country. Pakistani religious leaders have a special place in the Muslim world. I love Pakistan for its Islamic ideology and Islamic culture.

The people of Pakistan are hospitable. I have good neighbours here. I have cooperative colleagues and friends. Despite the falling morality in Pakistani people, there are countless who are humane. Pakistani donate generously in every calamity that hit Pakistan.

Borders make a country but people make a nation - Anonymous

So, I love this passion for humanity in Pakistanis. In villages and rural areas, the simplicity and hospitality of the people also make me love this land.

Pakistan has a rich culture. We have many local cultures. Many regional languages are spoken in Pakistan. So, the diversity in people and culture is also a reason for my love for Pakistan. I don't need to go to other countries to enjoy this diversity.

Love is the cause of unity in all things - Aristotle

I can go to far-off areas of Balochistan. I can visit some amazing areas in KPK. I can visit Karachi to see what a busy day looks like in a big city. I can visit Indus Riven on vacation. The northern valleys in Pakistan offer a magnificent.

Pakistan has four seasons. This versatile nature of seasons is not available in all countries. I enjoy summer, winter autumn and spring in a year.

I enjoy various seasonal fruits here in Pakistan. I enjoy bathing in canals and pools in summer. I enjoy the warm winter sunshine. I enjoy blooming flowers and colourful trees in spring. This is why I love Pakistan.

In short, I love Pakistan for many reasons. There is not one specific reason.

Love for one's country is part of faith - Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ)
