DHST Dissertation Prize
The DHST is the Division for the History of Science and Technology (IUHPST). It was originally founded in 1947 as the International Union of History of Science under the auspices of UNESCO to become a member of then ICSU (International Council of Science Unions), today knows as ISC.Its precursor was the "International Academy of the History of Science" which had been founded in 1927.

2025 Dissertation Prize
Starting at the 22nd International Congress of History of Science in 2005 held in Beijing, DHST now awards the prize every two years. Up to three awards for recent PhD historians of science and technology will recognize outstanding doctoral dissertations completed and filed between 2 September 2022 and 15 April 2024.
